By the Park is a stellar establishment, a true gem. From the charming and welcoming owners to the old world atmosphere of the establishment, our stay was beyond expectations. The home is grand, but you feel like part of the family once inside the doors. The rooms are immaculate. We will definitely be returning.

I had a great two-months stay in one of the rooms with a shared kitchen. Margo and Ziggy are not only great hosts, that always reach out when you have a question, but the room was cozy, very clean and equipped with everything you need. The location was perfect - restaurants, supermarket and bars in walking distance. Especially, the young and alternative Roncesvalles Avenue is a place you should definitely visit, when you are visiting Toronto. Furthermore, it was very convenient to be close to the subway and streetcar line as well to the UP Express line that goes directly to the airport. The neighborhood is one of the most beautiful in Toronto and extremely safe, also, when you are coming home later at night. All in all, I am so thankful, I found this lovely place, that made my stay in Toronto special. Thank you Ziggy and Margo, I hope I will be back soon.

We had to stay 2 nights at this place.. n i was skeptical at first with all the review. .. but trust me.. it was one of the best places we've ever stayed .... no problems at all... specially Margo (owner) took better care n we have no complains at all..!! Definitely recommend to everyone..!!

Room was small, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. My only recommendation is a blender for the shared kitchenette.

Beautiful, lovingly restored 1910 home with lots of woodwork, leaded glass windows, original floors in a quiet residential neighborhood. Comfortable, quiet rooms and beds with well equipped bathrooms. Very friendly and helpful hosts who provide cooked to order breakfast. Many nearby eating choices, close to public transport, and to large city park. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I were looking for place to stay in Toronto for a weekend in July. After browsing through the relatively expensive downtown hotel options, we came across Ziggy and Margo's B&B. This place was perfect for what we needed. Margo met us upon arrival and showed us to our room, whilst providing some details about the area. We stayed in the basement Daisy suite which offers a decent sized bedroom and private en-suite bathroom. The room came equipped with a small TV, air conditioning, and a fan. The room opens up to a kitchen that is shared with two other rooms. Along with the bedroom and kitchen, we were able to use the private backyard space to enjoy a bottle of wine (or two). The B&B location is one block away from the Keele subway station. This makes for easy travel between the airport and any destination in Toronto along the subway lines. As an added bonus, High Park is right down the street - a must see and a beautiful place to go for a walk/jog or grab a bite to eat.

Fabulous stay! Breakfast was fantastic every morning! Hosts were so kind and very accommodating! The location is great, you have the option of the subway which is a 5 minute walk away, or the street car which is about a 8 minute walk away. The rooms were so clean. Will be recommending to all family and friends who are looking for a relaxing and quiet place to stay while in the city. neighborhood was very safe. The Mugshot tavern around the corner was great for dinner, had some poutine and good beer selection. Looking forward to our next stay there!

Booked the Victorian room and stayed for a week, was a super pleasant experience. Had amazing breakfast every morning with superb service by owners. Nice talking with owners and other customers as well, I’d say it’s feeling like home. Two minutes walking from Keele subway, a ease for taking public transportation

We stayed in one of the mid-range rooms and were woken up at regular intervals by other guests moving around in their beds. The house is beautiful looking but we found the walls to be too thin and the rooms too cramped to be comfortable. Too bad as it is a very attractive place!

Stay was great, however on the day of checkout, no breakfast was offered (despite us informing them we will leave around 8am) and it was rather awkward for guests to be standing there and said goodbye to and left to the airport with empty stomach. A dissapointment to otherwise a decent stay.

My Husband and I were in Toronto on Tuesday, August 29th for an evening concert and the Canadian National Exhibition the following day. We booked our overnight stay at By the Park B&B and were absolutely delighted by our choice. The house and gardens were lovely and the house itself beautifully furnished. Our bedroom was graciously appointed with a super comfortable bed and a modern en-suite bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was delicious. To finish everything off perfectly our hosts, Margo and Ziggy Rygier were welcoming and gracious. We look forward to using "By the Park" any time we require overnight (or longer) accommodations in the city. In the meantime we will not hesitate to recommend them to our friends. Wendy Barrett

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Victorian room, which had it's own bathroom. The house and decor were very nicely restored and decorated. I felt like we were at a mini "Casa Loma", which I recommended you try to see on your visit to Toronto. We enjoyed having the daily breakfasts. Our hosts were wonderful! The location by the park was great...a very short walk to High Park and the subway to town. We felt much safer in Toronto than in Chicago, which we also enjoy. We hope that we can return someday for another visit, and we would stay here again!
