THE WORST HOSPITAL! I have been to this hospital 4 times, every time an emergency; twice for a friend, twice for myself. I feel the ENTIRE staff has been trained how to be rude to patients. 3 times we have come back with no treatment. I wish I could write how exactly I feel when I am here. They simply don't care about you. The doctors talk rudely too. We waited 4 hrs to be attended and no one came. My friend was crying with pain and the doctor passed by without even looking at him. Even an animal responds to crying humans! I hope the management sees my message and trains them to be empathetic. That's the least they can do to someone in pain!

This hospital has money for renovations but not for staff? There is no triage here I've been waiting over 2hrs just to be registered or assessed in emergency... What do we pay taxes for? Because at this point it's more affordable to go to the states and pay for healthcare so I can survive. I am without a family doctor and have no alternatives to get help. Who do we report this to? How do we get justice? For privacy reasons I cannot photograph the lineup but both sides of the emergency department are full - this is 3yrs after the pandemic - how do Canadians get help?

Dr Pinto in emergency ward needs to get her credentials checked. I was there for 4 hours and she calls me gives me a print out and then walks say. No conversation, no questions, nothing! Did you become a Dr to really help people or just walk around saying your one? The nurses and staff on the other hand were awesome! They are the real heroes.

This place shouldn't exist. It's basically a third world ER room... the E.R. room on the 70s show M*A*S*H looks better and seems to be run better as well somehow. And you can just imagine the talent they attract. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs. Go to a walk in, you'll honestly have a better experience.

I am here right now. The hospital in the CT scan lost my husband's requisition., but we received appointment and confirmation of appointment but the woman in CT scan said there is no requisition.. so now. We have to phone doctor and ask him to resend requisition, extremely unorganized. And unprofessionalism!!!!

My experience at this hospital was beyond frustrating. The waiting time was absolutely insane – a whopping 3 hours just to meet with a doctor. My 2-year-old daughter was suffering from a breathing problem, and it felt like they couldn't care less about giving her even basic first aid. We had to beg for Tylenol to bring down her fever. If you have a heart condition, avoid this place at all costs; you might not make it through the wait. I tried approaching the nurses multiple times, but they seemed uninterested in helping. The registration staff were equally unhelpful, and it was complete chaos. To make matters worse, I witnessed a man in excruciating pain, crying out for help, but they didn't provide any pain medication for a staggering 2 and a half hours. He was left to suffer without any sign of first aid or medication. Something is seriously wrong with this hospital. It desperately needs empathetic nurses, more staff, and probably increased funding from the government to improve its services. It's a place I wouldn't wish upon anyone in need of medical attention. I think walk-in clinics are faster than emergency here.

Class action lawsuit worthy hospital. Scarborough Health Network, some* of your employees are not upholding their basic healthcare duties and violating patient rights. Bad experience at the ER. One of your nurses refused to help read a form out for proper understanding to someone who doesn’t understand English very well by saying “I don’t have time”. Maybe phone translators and make an effort to communicate information thoroughly. Wish I had filmed this, so there would be evidence. Beyond upsetting.

The administration clerks are so rude, they didn’t even say your welcome when I said thank you. Management needs to train their front desk on customer service. Despite the very long wait in emerg the Dr is very sweet and kind. Nurse Irena is amazing I wish I can contact her manager to tell them how blessed and lucky they are to have a nurse like her.

Rudest emergency staff we have experienced. Unprofessional for people who are supposed to be medical professionals. Short staffing isn't a valid excuse for treating patients this way. Terrible wait times, I won't be surprised if patients' families waiting in the lobby catch sickness/diseases.

Spent hours waiting in ED during the night, then finally seen by an ED clinician who indicated to me that I can self refer to public health after an animal bite in the morning. Spoke to public health this morning, informed that a doctor is the only one who can make that referral. Appalling lack of clinical care and knowledge of basic emergency protocol following incidences like animal bites. I have every sympathy for the hard working health professionals during this pandemic, but this is not an excuse to lack general knowledge of basic protocols.

Worst experience in emergency. Really rude staff. I went to the nurse and asked her politely that my wife is in pain, could you please have a look. She literally shouted at me saying she is busy filling up the form. I will come and have a look after I finish this. We are not their workers or slaves for them to respond in such a way. The management should address it. I have seen numerous notices asking parents to be polite but no notice asking the staff to be polite. Horrible experience guys. I will never go to this hospital again.

This was by far the worst hospital experience I have ever had. With the exception of 5 or 6 nurses, the rest were rude and short tempered; but they had no problem on the night shift laughing and talking loudly amongst themselves keeping patients awake. They would come into the room to check on myself and my roommate (2 bed room) without announcing themselves and scared my roommate to the point that she was hysterical and had to have her daughter come to the hospital at 4:30 in the morning. A couple of different nurses also fat shamed me, telling me that I would not fit into an XL diaper (which I did) and another one told me I would not fit into a normal wheelchair, but the physio team the first day had me sit in the normal size wheelchair with no problem. Then on my discharge day, one nurse told me that my pick up person would have to get a wheelchair from the entrance and bring it up to get me as she was too busy to take me downstairs. I have many friends who are nurses who were horrified to hear the treatment that I received. I hope to never visit this hospital again.

My emergency visit last week was absolutely disgusting and disappointing. After having prostate surgery the day before and being reassured by my doctor if I had any complications to go to the emergency where I would be attended to quickly. Well that was Absolutely not the case, after 3 hours of being in extreme pain and bleeding from my catheter, I was completely ignored and told to wait my turn. I never thought that I would have to beg for assistance. I think a third world country would treat a patient better in emergency. Please make me understand why would our healthcare treat anyone in this manner? Is it lack of staff or have you lost compassion and empathy.

The ER of this hospital is like a joke. I almost died because of the unprofessional treatment I got. They kept asking me why I came here. I waited 6 hours and the doctor finally came and spoke to me for 2 mins and sent me home. My infections got much worse and I had to go to another ER in DT. Because the doctors at Scarborough General Hospital are so rude and unprofessional, I developed really severe infections and had to spend 7 days in the DT hospital, suffering from so much pain that you can't imagine. I would have died, if I listened to the careless doctor at Scarborough General and stayed at home. They thought I got covid. How stupid is that.

Never had such a bad experience at a hospital before. You’re supposed to go to these people for help but when I did for my sprained ankle all they did was x ray my foot to tell me nothing was broken. Nothing done to look at the muscle damage around my foot. Told me to ice and elevate for a sever sprain and now I’m looking at lifetime damage because of unprofessional health care practitioners. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL THEY SHOULD BE ALL FIRED. Do not care for their patients. Crazy that they can get away with how they treat patients. A patient was in a wheel chair and they were yelling his name to come to them down a big hall but this patient had a severe tail bone injury and couldn’t come to them, and when they went to wheel him over they called him rude and gave him lots oc attitude when he was clearly in a lot of pain. I couldn’t believe the level of service that was provided.. STAY AWAY! They should have their medical licences taken away. Look at they 2.5 star rating it’s not just me that thinks this way. I’ve had vets treat my dog with more care then these people treat humans. Absolutely unacceptable, It’s actually saddening to see this.

This is a parking review only. From what I know, there is only an outdoor paid parking in the North Side. The photo shows you the current parking pricing. Day Passes are available for purchases at the self serve kiosk. The parking office is situated closer to the Emergency entrance (right side) located on the North side of the building. There is the main parking lot and there is also the short term parking lot located the closest to the emergency front entrance. The parking prices are structured differently for lots deemed as short term.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. AVOID!!!!!! if you can. I went to the emergency room and Doctor Montoedi stitched me up. She is very unprofessional and rude. Talking to her colleague while giving me stitches. What irritates me the most is that she didnt say anything if I have to return to remove the surgical suture or not. No follow up appointment whatsoever she didnt even give me local anesthesia properly. It is shocking... Also stuff here is very rude and ignorant.

Not too long ago I took my 7 year old to that Hospital due to severe migraine. After staying more than 2 and half hour waitting in a room not even a nurse came to see me to check on my sick kid. When she was crying too much I went outside and started to complain after another 30 mn a nurse came to check on me . 1 hour later a doctor came. He did not even touch my child and he already assumed it's Covid and telling me there is nothing he can do (unbelievable). I had to tell him I did the test the day before. When he went and check he find out the test was negative . I am not sure where this doctor got his medical licence, he finally called the pediatrician, from there they transferred me to Centenary Hospital where she was Hospitalized. Long story short my daughter is now a sick kids patience. Scarborough Hospital the emergency department is terrible this is the worst Hospital to go to for emergency

Took my mother to the ER last week; I was very glad that she was in capable hands. I went there as well when I had a stroke. Thank you for your service; my gratitude and respect will never fade for the first responders. I encourage everyone to be patient not everything is "McDonald's" just imagine other countries that have no public health we are very blessed to be in a country that has free health care for everyone. I’m posting my positive review, for many reasons, one of them is the amount of negative reviews this hospital has, I’m almost sure, lot of people expect royalty service. I understand we all want to be seen right the way, BUT we all should be respectful of everyone working here, trust me they’ve probably seen it all, working here it’s stressful because people make it that way for them. Yes you have an emergency, so everyone else in the room. Anyways, here is my. I’ve been in the ER in 3 occasions in the past 4 months (2022)EVERY single time I was there I got an excellent service from everyone. This place is well organized, everyone here is busy and doing what they supposed to, took my son there and in about 3 hrs we got in, had X-rays done, got diagnosed and went home, then for myself, got admitted in about 2 hrs, spend 5 days in the hospital, food was great, excellent service from each nurse I had, people from the blood tests, MRI, doctors, cleaning staff, I mean everyone did their job and I felt I was in the best hands. Kudos to Dr Jason Reinglas for being a true professional, empathetic and knowledgeable! Last time, took my husband to the ER, we spend 2 hrs and 5 min in there, same thing repeats, great service from everyone! This isn’t a new location, so it sure needs some upgrades, that’s all. I can’t thank enough SHN Birchmount because not only we were treated professionally but you can also see how good this service is for others while we waited. I’ve been in a few others hospitals in the GTA and by far this location never disappoints.

I have had great experiences when I visit your hospital except for a couple of grumpy nurses on the floor, you guys are giving customer service, we don't go there just because we want to be there, we want help, hopefully with a better attitude. My biggest concern is when you call and get "the receptionist" normally, no manners they certainly need coaching and training. I hope you have this changes done soon. Thank you.

The employees in the ER department are very rude But completely different in the surgery department: Staff working in the surgery department are nice. What made the experience great were the doctors and anesthesiologist. I must say they were excellent. Both of them went above and beyond considerate, they thought of what would be best and convenient for the patient and came to find me in person after he was done with my family members surgery. Dr. Chan didn't call me like what the nurses said, he came to me in the cafeteria. Surprised me that they took the extra effort to speak to me. I don't know the name of the Asian anesthesiologist but he's great too, he understood what would be comfortable for the patient and noticed and did something about when the multiple nurses that came didn't.

I really want the management of this hospital to read this review. Because I don’t think staff members understand the importance of mental health and how to deal with it skillfully. Backstory: I admitted myself into this hospital in November of 2022, and this was an extremely difficult time in my life, arguably the worst period ever. I don’t want any sympathy, but I just really want things to change at this hospital in terms of helping people with mental health. After my experience at Birchmount, I feel like there must be immediate improvements. My recommendations when it comes to helping individuals with mental illness: 1) Please do not keep your patients inside a literal cell when they get admitted. Instead please put them somewhere quiet with some supervision. I was put in a locked room with nothing but a gurney. When I mean quiet, I meant a place away from other patients. 2) Relay information efficiently. I was sent to Centenary Hospital because there was a psych ward there unlike Birchmount. The staff really screwed me over when there was an overwhelming amount of mistakes made to the staff at Centenary. Some information wasn’t sent to the Centenary staff which was incredibly annoying. 3) Most importantly, TRY TO GET SOMEONE WHO CAN IMMEDIATELY HELP THE PATIENTS. GET A SOCIAL WORKER ON STANDBY BECAUSE MENTAL HEALTH IS GETTING INCREASINGLY COMMON. Don’t you think it’s unreasonable for a suicidal person to wait for four hours to get some sort of help? Please recruit more staff who are trained with mental health. Overall, the staff was okay, but the social worker was a professional and helpful person. Mental health and related issues are no laughing matter especially during these days. I wish the staff at Birchmount Hospital can really sympathize with an individual who are suffering from mental health illnesses.

I have only had positive experiences in the emergency and the rest of the hospital. This review is about Dr. Jugdeo who was a children's doctor around 2009. I dont know if he still practices but I hope he doesn't. He is the reason for childhood trauma. Upon further reflection through therapy that my daughter had to go through he was part of the problem. He would always tell her that she needs to do this or that in order to be healthy. But he never explained how to do it or what resources were available. I am not a doctor nor am I a health care professional. I too did not know the proper resources or outreach that was available for her. But every month for her check in she would dread seeing him because that meant it was time for him to ridicule her for not being able to uphold/maintain his expectations. As a parent I wanted to help my child. I went to him for help. All he did was criticize her. There was no plan or constructive feedback. It was always, oh just go for walks and she will lose weight. My child is active. Unfortunately its in her genes that she is on the heavier side despite being enrolled in multiple sports. This went on for years. I just wish my child to me sooner. So take away from this, make sure your doctor is giving you adequate resources to help you once you leave the office. He was not a nice man nor did he do his part in explaining how to do things to benefit my child. I should have asked questions but I am just as lost as my child was. Like I said, I am not in health care.

The ambulance brought me into hospital, they transferred me to the wheelchair, they did not allow visitor come with me, and when the nurse called me she just stayed far from me and said I have to walk myself, I asked for help from nurse and paramedic over there as I was dizzy and weak, but they refused and left me alone. Then, I ended up leaving hospital without visiting a doctor. They were not even busy. The worst hospital and patient care ever in Toronto.

A couple of weeks ago I went to the Birchmount Hospital (former Grace Hospital) for day surgery/stomach scope. Although this was routine, I was super nervous. After the main registration I went to day surgery registration where the receptionist appeared a little unapproachable - and was I wrong...she was WONDERFUL! Kind, informative, smiling, completely put me at ease! Then over to the day surgery area. Nurses running around from patient to patient so I figured I would just be another subject of the day. Wrong again! Every single nurse, as I watched them interact with patients were pleasant, patient, compassionate and with a smile. Same for the nurse who looked after me. I could not ask for anything more - I was taken care of with kindness, compassion and care. As for the doctors, there were two working simultaneously and each doctor came out to interact with their patients, mine, before and after the procedure. The medical staff has been through hell these past couple of years, yet every single medical personnel (and reception) I interacted with during this visit were professional, caring, kind and left me at ease. I cannot thank them enough!!!

Would rate no stars if I could. Came to emergency today after 5 days of feeling dizzy nauseous and headache so bad I could barely get out of bed. My brother had a stroke at 23 and a brain aneurysm at 30 so this kind of thing isn’t a joke to my family. Was basically ignored for the first 20mins and then had my name taken and told to wait for triage. Waited 2 1/2 hrs and they never called my name to allow me to even tell them what the problem was. I tried to inquire at front desk and was repeatedly ignored and brush off. Apparently people had been waiting 4+ hrs just to be triaged. Left without any help or care. Very disappointed in lack of compassion or availability of care and will never go back to this hospital.

My husband went for cataract surgery today. It was a very pleasant experience. First, parking is easy. When we walked in Staff was at the entrance to help us register and direct us to the proper area. At the eye clinic, the staff was efficient, friendly and caring. I don't have any bad to say about this small efficient hospital.

Went to emergency department, waiting times are very long but that is to be expected. Nurses are extremely rude, do not care about patients and have zero empathy. They give unclear instructions and then get mad when you ask questions. They also act like you're a nuisance and avoid eye contact. The doctors there however are very kind and helpful.

I recently had a disappointing experience at this hospital. Vital sign monitors were not functioning properly, causing delays and frustration during my visit. Additionally, the nurse assigned to me displayed a lack of engagement and failed to provide the level of care and support I expected. To make matters worse, the IV wasn't stopped promptly when the medication was complete, resulting in a blood backflow complication. This experience reflects a concerning lapse in the hospital's standards of equipment maintenance and healthcare delivery. Overall, this visit fell short of the standard of care I believe should be upheld in a healthcare facility. I don't recommend this hospital for any emergency cases.

I went to their COVID testing centre Monday Nov. 23 , I made my appointment for 4pm , the lineup was fine 20-30 people all using social distancing & masks. I got in at 4:30pm , got tested , which is eye opening !! It really feels weird . Made my nose run but no problems after. Big Shout Out to the nurses !! 👍 Security was very helpful 😎 Test Results Today : NEGATIVE 🤗🤗

After weeks of attempting to get an appointment with the oncologist, dr. Krieger, I finally get one, find the clinic in the hospital after asking several staff members, once I get there and register, a nurse tells me I must at leave because I don’t have the right kind of mask on, at this point I’ve been I’ve been in the hospital for an hour now, so I’m told to leave, not one other employee told me my mask was not acceptable and they offered zero resolution besides, here’s a number to call, patient relations, whom I was previously calling for weeks with no answer or return call

This is the continuation of my previous review on Scarborough General Hospital. After waiting for 3 and half hours at Scarborough General emergency, I left with my 95 year old father. Next morning I took my dad to Scarborough Grace. What a contrast! My dad got the treatment and when we left we spent 1 and half hour there. The number of other patients at the time for both hospitals are about the same. When we were there, there were about 6 or 7 patients in front of us. At General, I saw other patients who cam after us got the treatment first. At Grace, the doctor there was so efficient and he dealt with each patient promptly and I could see that all patients were satisfied with his treatment. Even the nurse there was very nice as he had to treat my dad's wound. They are in the same "network" but I would really recommend that you go to Grace I stead of General.

Absolutely the worst place to go to if you have an emergency. I had to wait for more than 5 hours before I could go home. The staff is definitely the rudest people you’ll ever come across. They do not empathise with you but will infact, give you even more anxiety. Absolutely no system at all and no efficiency. Go to a walk in clinic and you’ll be freed way sooner. Do not go to this place, at all.

WORST HOSPITAL. I wouldn’t come here with a splinter. I spent about 24 hours in the emergency room and the nurses barely checked on me, and I had to cuss one of the RUDE nurses Who had told me to be patient after I have been sitting on their stiff chairs for about 10 hours already. In the ER they don’t give you water unless you ask about 10 times and you have to wait about two hours for the water. And I even had an ER doc tell me that I should be thankful because I’m sitting on one of the best recliners in the ER. Once I was administered I was treated very nice by the nurses upstairs God bless their souls, (Cherrie & Momta) but unfortunately due to the treatment I Received in the ER I will never come back. I had a few nurses that drew my blood even tell me that there was enough beds up here and there’s no reason why I should be waiting downstairs for about a day. I had a surgery here last year and it went well which is why I opted on coming here but this is the worst experience I have ever had. I would’ve had better luck going across the border and paying for care.

I almost never leave reviews. I don’t have the time, and I know how hard it’s been on front line workers, ESPECIALLY in hospitals. And I hate that I even have to do this. Whoever the receptionist is today (morning of December 15th 2022) for Yvonne Scott at the fracture clinic needs to rethink her attitude I can’t believe she was even hired. I’m not sure if she realizes people can have more injuries than just a fracture and can be in pain? I don’t know if she realizes she can’t just be mean to people on the phone who are politely trying to clear up misunderstandings? But her work ethic is absolutely offensive.

Worst experience ever don’t go here at all. Like not even one doctor has seen me today I have been waiting here for over 5 hours and still no one has seen me yet . I have been waiting from 10 . And not only that they have one doctor in this emergency. So if there’s 50 patients waiting their all waiting for that one doctor to see them. And if you ask questions to the staff their first response is they don’t know please sit down someone will assist you soon and that’s it. And the staffs here are very rude. I understand hospitals are busy and all but like basic information that staff can’t even respond back to you . What kinda medical system are we living in. They said I’m not allowed to have my husband beside me but everyone here is with their significant other or fam member. Like a rule for each individual it should not be the case. Like I’m sick and at the hospital I’m not asking for anyone but my husband to be here Cus it’s support I need when I’m sick . So disappointed with this hospital and will never go back to it. Worst hospital ever never had to write a review like this .

My 89 year old husband is in emergency department and although he has dementia they will not let me in to be with him. I have been waiting 31/2 hours. A woman and her son came in long after and he was allowed to go in with her. She was perfectly lucid. I am extremely upset and will never ask that he be brought here again

Not hospitable or administrative they never answer the phone then when they do they transfer the call to the wrong place. Not admirable service or sympathy for the family that wants to visit their family members.

Today I visited this hospital with my child in an emergency department, It took a long waiting ( 5 hours )time to see a doctor. It not make sense, if you have any emergency situation and you consult a doctor in an emergency and hold them in a long waiting’s.

First responders took me in for an infected bladder. They were professional in every way. From then on it was a series of beds and scans into ICU. Throughout the process of me fading in and out all nurses doctors were professional trying to take care of my needs. Despite a cautious diet I ended up with good soups, shepards pie and Salisbury steak. Couldn't taste better. Thank you nurses for all your care. Kept an upbeat attitude despite the sad circumstances around me.

Overall a positive experience. The ER Drs (Lee and Brooke) were great. Especially Dr Brooke who shows she really care about her patients. The lady who did the stitching (believe her name is Sarah) is also exceptional. The nurses were also excellent in general. The wait time at the ER is about 5 hours long, but is pretty much the same everywhere in the city. I would have given a 5 star, but witnessed a few mistakes made by the male nurse in the entrance ER area. He gave forms to the wrong patient to fill out, and appear not on top of things when his colleague came and ask for updates. He claimed to have work there for many years, which made me concern how many mistakes he might have made in the past.

My son got an injury on his leg on July23/23. There is basically no line up in front of us. Quickly, we have moved from triage to many steps then finally met the Dr. who sent him for the X-ray. UP until this point, it's like 45 mins....then we wait for half an hour for the assessment and Dr came to us to discharge him....So I would say in this ER experience, it is like 2 hrs which I had prepared for 6 hrs..... So many thanks to the medical staffs in the ER department

To be honest: 0 star (not 1 star). 💀 The WORST place to go to for emergency. Never come here. The waiting is so long. I've been here since at 8 am and right now it's 2:06 pm. Registered at 8 am. Waited for 2 hours (10:15) and finally my dad was able to do the X-Ray on his hand. Then my dad was done so fast at 10:30. Now we already waited for 3 hours and a half... what's taking so long for them to look at an x-ray of a hand and give a report? All I see is more patients coming in and less patients coming out. Everyone is waiting and I don't see a single doctor/nurse do anything. When asked, the nurse said they don't know anything. How are they qualified to work here? Lack of professional helping the patients. All I see is they are carrying their tim hortorn coffees and walking around. This is ridiculous and a waste of time. Don't come here...go to a different hospital for emergency. Also I see a lot of patients in one room and I don't see a single doctor/nurse do anything or call anyone. Anyone care to explain why are they working very slow? If you're new here, please don't come here. Unless you have a lot of time on your hand and don't mind waiting for 24 hrs for a report. Imagine suffering a huge injury and needed serious emergency....but then have to wait for 6 hrs for treatment....by the time they get you, you'd be gone.

Today I went to the ER due to having shortness of breath and having heart problems. The minute I walked in there wasn’t much help or anyone helping me with registration or anything I sat for almost an hour before being approached about being seen. The nurse who took me in the ER her name is Irene was very pleasant and made the experience a lot better for me. She was very gentle and made sure I was comfortable. Would definitely recommend her for anyone going to the ER. Once in the rapid assessment zone it was a longer wait but the doctors and nurses I do recommend Christopher; he did explain thoroughly what they would be doing and help you through the process.

I was surprised w the initial care l had in emergency. It was fast and special attention given considering I was having chest pains and numbing on the left arm. BUT staying 3 days in emergency section proved to be a difficult experience: Staff forget patients need quiet to rest and recuperate. It was very difficult to sleep, staff talking quite loudly, carts being pushed, patients moaning, garbage or other stuff being replenished. Let's hope that they become more aware of this oversight. Thank you. Difficulty getting a room continues to be a factor in this incident.

Kudos to all the heros at Scarborough Health Network (Scarborough General Hospital) who were amazing with my Father who was rushed by ambulance and is now home and feeling much better. I have to say it was the last place I wanted to be or take my father too during a pandemic and I was so relieved to see all the precautions that were taken and how quickly you were able to get him in and out. On behalf of my Father and family, thank you very much appreciated!

This rating goes to the coolest, nicest asians technicians in the X-ray and CT scan area. They directed me and guide me with patience as I’m hearing impaired and was very kind and polite. It was my first time doing a CT scan so I was freaked out, but they made me feel very comfortable. The emergency doctors and especially front coming in was dense. Where are the accommodations?! If someone can hear clear through a mask get a pen and paper. I wonder how deaf people manage?! I was able to hear most and pass but damn have some consideration. I understand the Covid-19 is happening and you need mask and everything, but you must find ways to accommodate EVERYONE. This is Canada. She’s lucky it was me alone because my family would of lost it.

I had a septoplasty about a month ago here. Because of covid no one was allowed to stay with me before surgery and the wait time was about 2.5 hours. But all staffs and nurses were very caring and assuring. One of the nurses helped me put on my shoes because I could bleed if I looked down. When my family came to pick me up, my nurse waited until she could safely put me in my car. I did not expect such care. Hats off to these amazing people!

Parking (9/10) Staff (9/10) Services (8/10) Professionalism (9/10) Waiting time (7/10) Wifi facility (6/10) Entertainment facility (7/10) Hygiene and cleanliness (10/10) I visited the green elevator department. The staff was so helpful that they teach you everything related to new born so nicely with patience. We stayed for 2 days. The doctors visited as per the need where as the nurses were always keeping a good eye and proper care. We had good experience with Tara, christiana and many other staff whose names i cant recall. The hospital does New born circumcision for which they cahrge 350 CAD. Out of that 150 CAD is to be paid in cash to the doctor and 200 CAD for the hospital to cover up the cost of equipment and supplies. We were referred here by our family doctor Dr Will and she also is a part of the team in the hospital. Overall it was a very good and memorable experience. Due to covid 19 there are restrictions for visitors. So if you are alome with no other family members please get all your stuffs at once. The staff allows you to pick up stuff from the pick up area but doesn't allow you to go out and get it.

This is the third visit to the Emergency Department for me at hospital located at Lawrence Ave E and McCowan Road. Luck for me, I’m not a patient tonight but my friend is in severe pain. During COVID-19, all parking lot fees have been waived. That is $16 less for me to have to spend this day! If daily parking included a vehicle wash, it wouldn’t bother me as much. Just venting out loud for the other times I was here.

My son went to ER with time sensitive situation. I was talk to MOA my son have a timely sensitive condition and she was approached right away and tell me to go to registration right away and she was bringing my son to exam room after triage. The emergency doctor was pretty young he knows what to do. Order to go to ultrasound and calm the surgeon to come to ER room. He went to surgery within golden time with Dr. Jonathan chan at the Scarborough grace. I have a concern about my son condition and Dr. Jonathan call my son right away asking about his condition. I am not complaining about this place. They know what to do. If the patient has extremely urgent condition they know what to do! Periods!

These stars are for the ER nurses that helped me deliver my baby in January this year. I would give them 10 stars because they were exceptional, kind, caring, funny and so respectful. I wish I knew all their names but i think the head nurse was Michelle. I accidentally went to this hospital instead of general and was fully dialited, ready to push. Michelle immediately assessed me while all the other nurses said they're not going to take me. It was hectic and chaotic but because of Michelle and the nurses that helped me, it was a great birth compared to my previous 2. Other than the nurses that were with me, the triage nurses were horrible and rude to my mom and husband who just wanted to be with me.

The kind and compassionate care that my mom received from the hospital staff is a testament to their dedication to patient well-being. From the moment we arrived at the hospital, the staff went out of their way to ensure that both my mom and I were comfortable and at ease. This level of care is not always easy to come by, and it is truly inspiring to see healthcare professionals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of their patients. My mom is recovering amazingly from her knee replacement surgery performed by Dr Caroline Scott. She is a godsend

Stomach pain is unbearable. After the examination, I took a T&C to get the result. I got appendicitis for the first time. I went to the emergency room and waited for two hours. But the doctor in charge was very serious and very helpful. The doctor in charge was very good. Seriously, there are also nurses in the hospital who are also very responsible to help me change the dressing 24 hours a day. It will be cured only slowly. Don’t be too impatient. It will be cured sooner or later. You should also pay attention to hygiene

I had a fantastic experience at the MRI department yesterday. The technologist and the staff were professional, kind and extremely patient. I have claustrophobia and have had bad imaging experiences before so I was very scared. The technologist gave me as much time as I needed, answered all my questions, helped me practice going in and out of the MRI, gave me a pillow to put under my legs, an eye napkin and also a panic button. Please note, I had also brought my own sedation so that eased the process too. Nevertheless, the professionalism, patience and compassion of the staff at the Birchmount hospital was exceptional!!

Tried calling the switchboard to connect me to nurses station at Birchmount site today but operator was rude and refused to do so. Kept repeating someone will call me, but how could they if they do not have my telephone number??? This Hospital is repeatedly asking for my donation but with this kind of inadequate and unprofessional service I would say to everyone in Scarborough to do not donate to a service that hires untrained staff to respond to public query, is unreliable and inefficient at its best.

Hello, I had waited in the ER as I was bleeding and fainted twice both from my own panic of what was happening, and from the pain and loss of blood I was experiencing. My carer decided it was best to start treating on my own rather than wait another 3 hours for my assessment. My situation had gotten worse becuase of this hospitals lack of initiative to care of their patients and for the lack of staffs in general. One day people will experience worse from these waits.

She didn't even say hi or want to touch my healthcard she wanted me to hold the card high so she can read it so she doesn't catch any virus even though I was there for heart problem. Its shocking after all the bad reviews 2.5 star this hospital gets and they still won't do anything about it.
