VRTU is a great new Muay Thai gym that offers many different types of fitness classes. I was intimidated to join at first but the instructors and everyone at the gym is so supportive in helping you learn correctly and improve your technique. The gym is such a positive atmosphere that I leave feeling great after every workout!

The team at VRTU has done an incredible job creating a welcoming and engaging community that our family has loved from the first day. We believe the combination of physical activity and academic programming offered by VRTU supports the development of well-rounded children; best of all, our daughter loves it! Having young girls, we appreciate the development of skills that can be used for self-defense and the enthusiastic academic offerings to the field of STEM; a growing field that has historically been primarily male dominated. My husband and I have enjoyed Muay Thai for many years, and the instruction at VRTU is top notch. Being Thai, I also appreciate the respect shown for Thai culture.

VRTU was introduced to me through a friend who use to train with Benson (owner). Let me tell you..... I've been impressed with this gym since my first day here. I train 2-3x a week here and I always feel like I get an amazing workout. I come back here because everyone here is such an inspiration and trains really hard, as well, everyone here is super nice. It's a great community to be in for anyone looking to get fit and want to be a part of an amazing family.

I had my first Muay Thai experience at VRTU with class pass, and it came to a surprise. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and the beginner class was perfect for someone with zero martial arts experience. Honestly I thought this would be a one time experience, but after the class I definitely want to return! 😊 FYI, gloves and hand wraps are not included, so bring one if you have one!

Joining VTRU was one of the best decision I have ever made! The environment is very welcoming, and has everything that you needed. The instructors are very knowledgeable, and they really take the time to make sure everyone is learning the proper techniques. But what really sets this gym apart is the community. Everyone here is so supportive and friendly, whether you are a complete beginner or had previous experience of Muay Thai. I've made some great friends here and that makes me want to come to training everyday. If you are reading this, you should definitely try out this gym, I am sure you will love it here.

This is an excellent gym to be a part of. My Son has been progressing for a year in the shooting stars program and loves going every week. His energy and confidence levels have made me want to get back into training and I have now joined VRTU as well. Its a very well equipped facility perfect for beginners right up to advanced level and I look forward to reaching my personal goals here in 2024.

The devotion, respect, care & playful energy VRTU & all their instructors bring to the table is next level!! There are Muay Thai studios closer to where I live in the city but I’ve been going back here for 8 months because it’s just that good. Starting as a complete beginner, it was such a perfect positive learning environment for me. They will push you in the most supportive way, while also making sure you have the most fun + are getting custom help to progress even in the group sessions. I get a better workout & more results in 1 session here than like 4 gym sessions on my own. And they care so much about their students!! So glad I found this place :)

In January VRTU did an open house and my son (9) and I signed up for classes. I am so happy we did. The teachers we have had are phenomenal. Kru has really made something special. As a beginner they really take the time to help you perfect technique and they are so encouraging. The workouts are (very) challenging so if you are joining to reach a fitness goal rest assured you will meet it. Definitely recommend.

Being a bit shy at the idea of trying Muay Thai, everyone at VRTU was so welcoming and kind. Kru Benson and all the teachers are so great, patient and passionate. The workouts/trainings are incredible, they make me sweat but with fun and always learning new techniques. I would recommend this place for anyone !

One of the best coach's to work with. Benson has a very high fight IQ and will always make sure all of his students are conditioned. Great environment and good people to work with.

Hard workouts with great and knowledgeable instructors, a uniquely flashy gym interior, and a sense of community. A chance to compete if that's what you're interested in, and always someone around who will help you to learn or push yourself more.

My son really enjoyed his week at vrtu summer camp. He's 10 and needs to be physically challenged so he doesn't get bored, and he certainly was challenged! Every day he came home telling me about the new moves he'd learned, and how far he had run. The instructors gave me great feedback about his ability, and how much he was enjoying it. They sent me some wonderful photos, too. Well worth it!

VRTU goes beyond the 5 stars I can rate it here. The instructors and staff are just about the friendliest and most welcoming people you could meet, which makes training here a blast every time. No matter what level you are, this is a great place to learn and hone your skills. Not to mention you'll make a few new friends while you're at it! They also offer a variety of other classes like yoga and fitness, in addition to a great mix of muay thai classes. Thanks VRTU for running a great gym!

Kru Benson and his gym are a blessing. Great energy, like minded students, tons of experience and champion DNA. 12 pm class? BANGER. Late night class? BANGER. Weekend class? I haven't tried it yet but probably....BANGER.

Took a mixed class as a beginner and everyone was very welcoming. Place is furnished with everything you'd need with lots of space. Definitely left a lot of sweat on the floor but it was worth it. Sore but happy. I'll be back for sure

Kru Benson is one of the best teachers of Muay Thai in Toronto. He will lead you through some incredible workouts and he’ll make sure we all complete it as a team. Kru Benson and the Vrtu team has a great passion for the sport of Muay Thai and you will grow to love the art and to continuously push yourself to the limit.

VRTU Muay Thai is the best place to be if you want to increase your mental and physical strength. Not only do they have great classes and instructors, they keep you accountable. The gym community encourages one another during workouts and they tailor workouts for your fitness level. The best gym experience and martial arts experience I have ever had! Definetly give them a try, you will not regret it.

I discovered VRTU after receiving an ad on Instagram. The ad came at the perfect time as I was out of shape and needed a fun way to get in shape. I started going to VRTU in the middle of November of last year and have been attending consistently at least twice a week. Honestly, there aren't enough stars to describe what a phenomenal experience I've had training at VRTU. Kru Benson and Arkhe have been nothing short of amazing. They will push you and ensure you're giving 110%. You can tell that Muay Thai isn't just a job for them but their love and passion. I have mainly been attending the beginner's class and each class is dedicated in ensuring you are using proper form and technique. Despite the physical challenges, I've found every class very fun especially as you work with a partner and as you begin to notice improvements in your form and technique. The entire VRTU staff is simply wonderful and I have been very blessed to feel like I'm part of the family. If you're looking to get back into shape or if you're looking to try out a new martial art, then I wholeheartedly recommend VRTU to be your first stop.

Best place to train if you are looking to lose weight, be physically fit, learn self defence, work with like minded individuals towards a common goal and the list goes on and on. The people working the place are some of the most welcoming and one really enjoys their time here.

Amazing space for training and teaching of Muay Thai. Kru Benson and Corina have done an amazing job cultivating this art from kids to adults. Keep up the great work!

I had walked by VRTU for over a year before going in for my first class. After my first week, I was absolutely hooked! Kru and his training and support staff team are all amazing. The vibe at this gym is so friendly and welcoming that everyone instantly feels like family. Beyond that there is a real diversity of classes offered from basic Muay Thai skills for beginners to fitness classes and yoga. As someone with no prior Muy Thai training, I am amazed at how quickly the staff have helped me develop my skills. This sport is such a rewarding outlet and these guys are the ultimate experts!

I have been a member of VRTU for one month and I am so grateful to be apart of such an incredible community. All the staff at VRTU are so kind and helpful and they honestly treat everyone like family. I usually attend the 12pm classes that are taught by Mikey and Cole. You can truly see and feel the passion that both of these instructors have for Muay Thai. They are both amazing and they take their time to help every single student in the class to learn and improve. I have also taken a class that Benson the owner has taught. He is extremely helpful and he does his very best to accommodate every student to help them achieve their goals. I have had such an amazing experience at VRTU that now my 7 year old son is also a member and he loves it! My son has autism as well, and sometimes has a hard time learning but at VRTU he is doing incredible. Cole instructs my sons class, he is very patient and helps all of the kids learn and improve. VRTU Muay Thai is an amazing gym and I will continue to be a loyal member here. Many years ago I used train at another Muay Thai gym which I will not name but I can see and feel a huge difference when I am training here. At VRTU all of the instructors truly care about my progress, and will do their very best to always help me to improve. Lastly, I want to mention that all the members are also extremely kind, friendly and not judgmental at all! I am so thankful to VRTU for welcoming my son and I! If you are thinking of trying Muay Thai you need to try a class at VRTU. After my first class I knew right away this was the gym I wanted to stay and train at so I got a contract membership on the same day. The first class is $15 too! Give it a try, you will love it!!!!

VRTU is an amazing mid-town Muay Thai gym. Located on Eglinton just east of Avenue Rd. In this wonderful lower-level gym there is a good amount of space for classes. This is a very family oriented gym with kids and adults classes alike. Really great pricing for such a robust schedule of weekly classes. Not to mention there is a side workout room with a squat rack, water bags, rowing machines and free weights and a couple spin bikes. Recently added to the schedule is an awesome HIIT class on Sunday early afternoons. And we also offer Personal Training packages for anyone looking for a more one-on-one training regime. For both Muay Thai packages and/or a personally tailored fitness regime. Highly HIGHLY recommend!

This gym is incredible! I’ve been going regularly since November! As a total beginner and having zero Muay Thai experience coming into the gym I’ve felt very welcomed and the community is fantastic! Love this gym and anyone new looking for a gym should definitely consider VRTU!
