Beautiful reptiles. The space itself is very cute, on-theme, and informative. However, the staff seemed like they were absolutely miserable. The front desk rushed me through even though nobody was there. No smile, nothing. The handlers were also very miserable. Robotic. I have seen some bad reviews and was hoping it wouldn't be like that for our experience, unfortunately, it was. I recommend hiring people who are trained in customer service. When you go anywhere, the experience involves the staff, always.

Wonderful place! My son loved it so much. It is very hot inside. Don't wear too many layers of clothes 😉 They have a place to hang up your jackets.

Great spot! Kids had fun seeing all the reptiles. They have shows every hour on the hour and offer behind the scenes tours on the half hour that last about a half hour. My kids had a great time with Owen on the tour who was very helpful and informative. They also have feedings, the day we went (a sat) they were at 1145, 145, 345 and 445. At 145 they fed a rattlesnake. There's a big gift shop and seems like a good set up for birthdays. Lots of parking.

This place is very underrated which may be a good thing because it is never over crowded. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly. They have a great variety of reptiles on display that always excite the kids.

I have used to facility as well is all theme based and clean. They have show regarding reptiles though I missed to watch that but heard from some friends that it was good too

Our visit to Reptilia Zoo was nothing short of extraordinary! The focus on animal representation, conservation, and education is evident in every aspect of this remarkable facility. The educational tour provided my kids with a fascinating insight into the world of reptiles, and the commitment to conservation efforts was truly commendable. We opted for the backstage experience, and it was worth every penny. The behind-the-scenes glimpse into the care and conservation work was both informative and enchanting. The staff's passion for their work shone through, making it a memorable and educational experience. A special highlight was my son's brave challenge to feed the alligator—an experience he won't soon forget! The interactive opportunities added an exciting dimension to our visit. I highly recommend Reptilia Zoo for families seeking a blend of education and magical experiences. It's more than a zoo; it's a journey into the captivating world of reptiles, with knowledgeable staff ensuring a memorable visit for all.

A group of 4 of us had a great time on a VIP after hours tour! Our tour guide was super informative and full of fun facts (South American guy, don’t remember his name). Plus the gift shop was great for souvenirs as well as lots of reptile pet supplies. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Loved our visit just as much as the Whitby location. Plenty parking, kind staff, large selection of animals. As a reptile owner, definitely a delight to see clean enclosure and active healthy creatures. On a plus, also bought some crickets at this location for my squad at home. Will love to come back!

Had a GREATTTT time! It was our first time and Breanne and Sarah made it phenomenal right from the start! Got to feed the tortoises, pet some animals, and hold a snake. Bathrooms were super cool And clean! The staff was so helpful, knowledgeable and kind, and a pleasure to speak with. We will definitely be returning!

Amazing place. Very family friendly. Better yet, there are guides and a stage where there are people offering informative sessions. There are so many lovely species. I don’t know what the situation is now for visiting given COVID times but my visit back in 2018 was very well. I recommend for small children and families!

Took my son today for my birthday and had a great time! The zookeepers were great and the handler who did the show and feeding of the python was very educational and personable! I'm not a huge fan of snakes myself but I had a great time and so did my son! Recommend checking it out even if you don't want to see a feeding there are tons of great reptiles to check out and the staff were great! I recommend spending the extra $10+tax and feeding one of the reptiles yourself if its available, my kid won't stop talking about it!

Cozy, quiet (at least during off-peak hours), with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Come look at the pretty (and not-so-pretty) reptiles and amphibians and play "try to find the thing among the foliage". Good times.

We just completed an after-hours tour and it was fantastic! Emma was our guide and she exceeded our expectations. She was friendly and had a great depth of knowledge on all of the animals. It was pleasure to have been guided by her. We learned and saw so much! This has to be the best way to experience Reptilia. I highly recommend it and will definitely go again.

Tldr: crazy stuff! Definitely recommend! So I thought this is going to be those creepy places where the staff are weird and the whole place smells fishy (literally) and there is going to be cages everywhere. I was so wrong. This place is amazing, staffs are really kind and you got a chance to pet some huge pythons... And there several gigantic allgegator in house....which I didn't expect...in Vaughan! Anyway, education aspects wise, all the staffs are pretty knowledgeable. Don't miss the theatre, they will bring out some big pythons/Gecko and stuff to talk about it.

We just had our sons 3rd birthday here and what a blast for all the kids. It was great for smaller toddlers and kids, as well as older kids and adults. Everyone was entertained. Owen our host was great! Super accommodating and didn’t rush us, although I felt a bit rushed to get food and cake done in the first hour to allow time for the show. If the parties were 2.5-3 hours the timing would be perfect. Next time I book a party I’ll be sure to add an additional hour. The front desk staff was friendly and willing to help, our host Owen, was great as I mentioned, and the animal show was so fun for the kids. We got the loot bags and ordered pizza through Reptilia and everything was ready for us when we arrived. Even the gift shop section was fun to look at and shop for the cutest souvenirs. All in all a great venue for a kids party, especially if your birthday kid loves reptiles and animals! Super fun! Thanks Owen and the whole Reptilia Vaughan team!

Best Experiance !! Lots of reptiles and well maintained. We learned many facts and stories. Very interactive place to know about reptiles. Good for both Adults & Childrens. Here you will see varity of snake species , few spiders , frogs , turtles etc. Crocodile here is huge and a must watch . You have to book a time slot . If you forgot to book then , it can been done over the counter but you might have to wait , so please book it in advance. Not so far from mississauga and they have free parking too. It will take an 1 hr minimum upto 2 hrs per tour. Few things like theatres , animal feed is closed due to covid. They take all the good measures to make is place safe for visitors. Must experience this!! Thank you Reptilia.

Had a great time here! Great variety of animals to look at, there are live feedings scheduled throughout the day and hourly theatre shows where you can touch some of their animals. Son was so happy to touch a snake! Spent about an hour here. Place is clean, staff are friendly and it’s much easier to view the animals than at the zoo.

Our almost 4 year old and 1.5 year old loved it. There was lots to see and the kids loved the playground. It was quite warm inside so we should have left our coats in the car. We were a little disappointed when we went to the theatre for the 11am show and no show happened.

Great place to bring your little ones. There's lots to see to create a great immersive and educational experience for my kids. The shop even has lizard food. just remember to bring your own food for the young ones if they get hungry. WE went during the weekdays and it's not busy at all.

First time here, enjoyed the variety of reptiles. Had to make reservation and observe social distancing which actually worked out great. No crowding at each exhibit. Was well paced so we could spend little more time at each exhibit. I guess because of the restrictions in place and probably less foot traffic there wasn't much going on or much to do other than walk the path of the exhibit and that was it. we had a good time, enjoyed the space and time allotted to go at our own pace.

Brand new Reptilia in Whitby, ON!! Really fun experience for the whole family! (Unless you have a snake phobia of course). So many different kinds of snakes to learn about and the tanks and enclosures are great sizes and match the animals natural environment. They have 2 Nile crocodiles and 2 alligators as well as different turtles and tortoises. There are 4 shows a day where you can meet and pet some reptiles and there are feedings scheduled to view as well. It's all indoor and quite warm for the comfort of the animals so leave your coats in the car! A wonderful and informed staff led by an avid animal lover makes for a welcoming environment. Not only does their gift shop carry toys and shirts, it also has an amazing variety of reptile and amphibian care equipment for your pet family members! 16 bucks for adults and 11 for kids makes for a great and cost-effective day out! And your kids (and the kids at heart) will love their play ground fully equipped and safe with 2 mazes and a music room! Honestly, check this place out and you wont regret it!

Nice place, friendly staff. Possibly a bit overpriced considering after a while it seems like your just looking at different types of snakes. It does get a bit repetitive, probably not a place where you would want to check out more than once. I went twice a couple of years apart but didn't notice anything different or new. Fun environment for kids as there is many learning sessions and animal feedings for they're entertainment

It was a great time! Warm very warm so wear light clothes. No food here so bring your own! Staff are super nice and the place is really clean. Lol bathroom's are awesome and I know want a waterfall for a sink. The handlers were awesome and if you love taking pictures this place is awesome. The habits are amazing and everything looks like it is very well maintained. Cool gift shop very simple, for you little ones it has a little play area. I would come back but I feel the girls may have been a bit small to really enjoy it. 3+ would be best I think. Worth the money during the week unsure of how busy it is on weekends. Place isn't huge but could easily fit strollers. Awesome Job! We will be back one day!

I visited Reptilia on a weekday so it was almost a private tour for me and my daughter. The staff were very friendly and eager to provide all information about reptiles. There is a decent variety of reptiles and specially couple of huge crocodiles. The place looks neat and well organized. They provide special entry fee on Tuesday. We will definitely visit it again.

A great place to visit with your children. They have the animals on display and varying interactive shows every hour or two. There's a playground at the halfway point that the children can use to burn off some energy. You can pay extra for a personal interaction with the animals.

Very cool place! My 17-month-old was a little young for it, but under 2 is free so 👍 The vending machines are kinda pricey for what they are, so eat before so you don’t have to snack. The whole thing took us about an hour to walk through.

I recommend it 💯 it's been 3 times that i visited, and I always took with me people who didn't know them and they loved to see the animals, is good distraction for children and adults alike. They have presentations and information about when I will feed the animals, in case anyone wants to be interested in seeing how they feed. Today, Saturday (Dec 30), I discovered that after 5 p.m., they give discounts on tickets as there are no more performances after this time.

If you want to have a zoo and a retail location at least train your staff to manage both. I brought my little Leopold in today to get crickets for his lizard. I was immediately met by disgruntled employee Adian or Adrian. Listen if you have a problem with the way the management run the place, keep that to yourself. I don't care if you feel like you do everyone's job. We didn't even end up getting our lizard food because we felt like we were an inconvenience. Looks like it might be time for a change of staff.

  • 1/5 Michelle 2 years ago on Google
Everything was nice except for the showtime theatre. We waited as a cast member interacted with a family allowing them to touch and hold a snake. Keeping to the COVID precautions we gave the family space and waited for our turn. The cast member and family saw us waiting and ignored us. Finally when it was our turn the cast member said we were "too late" and did not allow us to interact with the snake. While the family before us got ample amount of time with pictures, we were ignored. We waited approximately 15 minutes and were never informed that we were late until it was our turn. That lack of acknowledgment felt very disrespectful to the point that we felt profiled. Therefore because of this interaction I can NOT recommend this place.

I was personally terrified of all the animals LOL but the kids LOVED it Toddlers went nuts and had a great time Food is very kid friendly My suggestion is to offer some food options for the adults in charge like maybe a few simple food options, coffee and tea are adult fuel so they’re a MUST Maybe please offer some music for the room to entertain the kids while they eat before the animals are brought in I would host my child’s birthday here too in the future Staff is nice and patient Good times 🥰

We traveled from Hamilton to celebrate our daughters 8th birthday. The reptile zoo is nice and large and all the reptiles have plenty of space. However it isn't the cleanest facility. The windows of tanks looked really dirty. The children's playground was extremely dirty and definitely needed some repairs. Overall it's worth a visit but probably wont be going back again.
