It's a good Indian spot with decent food and drinks! The beef samosas were excellent, the Vanilla Chai was good but the Lassi drinks were just average. Would still recommend overall if you are in the area.

Student special potato medley wrap ($7) and I upgraded the drink to a large ginger chai (+$4) both were great and the staff are so lovely! Great study spot with wifi, only concern is that I didn't see any outlets.

I don’t often get a chance to try Indian Cuisine, so I decided to visit this cute little Indian fusion cafe. I enjoy the variety that they offer, from Chai, to smoothies also known as Lassi, a yogurt based drink originating from India and to traditional Indian dishes like Tandoori Supreme which consists of Tandoori Chicken and Potato Medley served with Parotha similar to a roti but better! The wall decor is very creative, the overhead hanging lights bring a modern touch, and their menus are written out on rolling sheets. The overall atmosphere of the cafe and the menu are worth checking out. Make sure you ask for their Strawberry Lassi! It’s a secret item not shown on their menu - very fruity and refreshing! Finally, a place to drive to and empty your thoughts 💭then indulge in the aroma with every sip.. I have recommended this place to all my family and friends.

Very nice place owned by a pair of lovely sisters. Their chai beverages are to die for, but I was a little disappointed by my Tandoori Supreme Wrap. I love eating Indian food because of the spices, but there wasn't any kick to it. I wish I could select my spice level.

Although I personally prefer the westernized version of butter chicken, the one I had here was quite good. It's a tad bit too tart and tomatoy for me but very creamy and smooth. The elchi chai was really unique with different notes of flavour hitting you at different time. It would be a great choice if you like heavy flavors, I tend to favour light flavours so it was an experience. However one thing I would come back for is definately the mango lassa, it is so light and refreshing. Service was great, it does get busy fast so come earlier before all the seats are taken.

Very nice place to go for tea, coffee, or just to study and do some reading. Set in a very trendy part of town close to the University of Toronto school this Chai Shop is probably one of the best places in Toronto to get some Chai. Service was great and the menu had a lot of interesting options. I had the Grilled Cheese Parota and also had a Nutella and Banana Parota. Amazing taste and service. To drink I had the Hot Chai Tea. It was amazing and full of Cardamom and the entire time I was drinking the Chai Tea I tasted the Cardamom, it was really tasty. I highly recommend this place for a nice place to have some Chai Tea and snacks and also a great place to study and read. Highly recommended. Will definitely stop by again.

The Elchi Chai Shop is amazing! It has such an authentic Gujarati vibe (a state in the West of India), and it's first of its kind! It brings the desi Gujarati chai and parothas with a modern take! The samosas are delicious but could be slightly more flavourful. The parothas (parathas in Gujarati) on the other hand are so authentic. I'd like to see more vegetarian variety in parothas though. That's all, keep it up guys! I loved the vibe and the experience.

A well crafted establishment with minimalistic visuals. The attention to little details can be seen all over. Food is nothing short of excellence, both in taste & its presentation. Kudos to the staff and their commendable customer service.

One of my favorite places in Toronto! The service, food and chai are amazing. I think it’s a family run business and everyone behind the counter is always incredibly friendly. It’s a good place to get work done as the music is good and not too loud. I live in the area so I go there almost every week and always have a great experience.

Two loving beautiful (inside and out) sisters! I love the look of the Chai shop and the feel as well as the service and the food! Everything is so clean ! Vegetarian or not options for you! Samples of their drinks hot are there as well! I love there is food food and snack food because being in a cafe you get hungry and don't always wanna leave to find food ! I love there definitely my favorite forever !!!

The food was really great! Personally would have preferred the parotha to have a little more sauce. The chai was really good, a little on the spicier side. And the kabob tasted delicious but it only came with 3. Overall, definitely enjoyed the food! 😃

Absolutely loved it! My husband and I wanted masala chai in a cafe setup and that's exactly what we got. Additionally we also indulged into masala fries and samosas which were freshly prepared and delicious. We are definitely going back for more next time!
