The Livelihood Cafe catered two of my events last year and I was SO impressed by the quality of food and service at both. I got a ton of compliments on the food from my guests too. Highly recommend their hummus (I think it's the best in Toronto!) and their sweets are are amazing. Very good serving sizes. Their staff were professional, on time, and accommodated many dietary restrictions - really appreciated their clear labelling for all of their dishes! Wish I could give them 10 stars!!

Love the coffees, and even more the concept behind this non profit: its a training & community cafe that helps ppl esp refugees to build up their skill. They hire Syrian refugees that are super friendly and helpful. Definitely trying their Syrian style tea next time!

Great cafe where you can enjoy some drinks and food while supporting a great cause. I tried Turkish coffee for the first time here. They also serve Syrian tea and Ethiopian coffee, along with other exotic drinks and food.

This place is doing a great thing by establishing new immigrants with connections in Canada and helping them gain wholesome work in this great country of ours. My wife and I came to sit and read, and we decided to get some breakfast while we were at it. The Syrian breakfast was amazing. Fig jam, olives, salad. Small, inexpensive, and flavourful! Support a great cause, get good food and drink, and meet new people! Friendly workers!

My absolute favourite café in Kensington Market. Run by and for newcomers and refugees, Livelihood has the most delicious Middle Eastern food and drinks plus the usual fare. A real gem.

The inclusivity of ‘Toronto is for Everybody’ to embrace diversity is a gem. Honey ginger scones with coconut spread was really amazing. Coconut spread or kaya, a famous delicacy in Malaysia and Singapore, are available in bottles for takeaways too!

👍👍 Visited here a few years ago. And recently back to have breakfast again! It is a lovely space filled with nostalgia of old-school deli and restaurants. They have a large indoor dining room, and outdoor patio. Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, they are situated on the very busy University Ave...
