So I finally tried their pistachio croissant after seeing it on Instagram. My family tried different flavors. It was delicious. The staff was friendly and the place looked clean. If you love pastries like I do, check them out.

Amadeus Patisserie is an French Parisian Cafe located in Thornhill. It has an modern European vibe to it. All cakes and pastries are well displayed and labelled. Furthermore, all the ladies behind the cakes front counter were friendly and attentive once you enter the bakery. We bought the Strawberry Shortcake and Creme Brulee. Both were good, but I would personally pass the Strawberry Shortcake because it was mostly filled with coconut whipped cream. And be careful when you first crack the crust of the Creme Brulee, it's slightly in the thicker side. I love the fact, they sell a mini version of all their full sized cakes. One gets to sample ahead of time. Currently, they have 2 long bar tables near the front store with 6 bar stools to sit on for their dine in customers. It's no longer a place to lounge, but that could change in the near future once covid 19 is cleared. Parking is free and there are ample spaces since their customers are mostly coming, grabbing and going.

Amazing quality pastries, huge selection and fast service! These pastries are definitely a little on the fancier side, but they’re the perfect desserts for sharing! There’s so many unique options to choose from - I don’t think you can really go wrong with any of them.

Stumbled upon this place and wow was I surprised! So many choices in the cake, bakery, and macarons sections. Definitely well-staffed, friendly and patient while I decided what I wanted. So far, we’ve tried… - Pistachio Prestige: 7.5/10 not too sweet, base was a bit damp, but flavour was good. - Temptation: 8/10 very refreshing! Slightly sweet, would buy again. - Lemon Tart: 9/10 yum! Crust was good (not the best I’ve had, but good). Filling was what sealed the deal. - Lemon & Raspberry Croissant: 8.5/10 berries were fresh. The only thing was the croissant itself was a bit too crunchy lol - Cheese Croissant: 8/10 good, but nothing overly special - Passion fruit and mango croissant pinwheel: so good!! Highly recommend. The croissant was light and fluffy and shredded coconut added a good highlight. - Pistachio croissant pinwheel: 9/10 pistachio flavour was nicely nutty. The dip was on the sweet side, but still delish. Will be back to try other items on the menu! Other notes: - no bathroom available inside - parking was not very big - right beside the gas station in case you can’t see it from the intersection

They have a small dine-in area with a few chairs and two tables. The new bakery section is fantastic. (A bit pricey). I usually find their desserts and cakes a bit too sweet, but their bakery is amazing. I recommend their chocolate babka, pistachio babka, pear tart, apricot tart, and croissants.

NO TAX for 6 small cakes or more!! I was really impressed with how clean the store is and how efficient the ordering process is. Each small dessert cake is about $6.5-$8. The staff here is all very patient and knowledgeable about the different tastes and ingredients at this location. The macarons, $2.75 each or $16 for 6, here are better value than some of the other north York dessert places — would recommend! The packaging for the 24 pieces options is very very pretty, gift-worthy!

Owner freely walks around with no mask behind the counter. Doesn’t care that customers don’t properly wear their masks (not covering nose) inside his restaurant either. Coffee is good, pastries are good. Prices have become outrageously high. I agree with the recent reviews. This place is slipping….. EDIT FOR OWNER: your customers were wearing masks, just not correctly. If they can wear them over their mouth, they can wear them over their nose. You should certainly mention it to them. With regards to you not being able to wear a mask….you’re the business owner, if you truly have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a mask (which I doubt you do), you should at least wear one when you come out to the front where you represent your business. You’re in the food industry and you have lots of employees that you should be setting a good example to. You look pretty silly being the only one in there without a mask AND YOU’RE THE OWNER. You have to adapt to the times.

Good service and beautifully crafted cakes and selection! Tried their red velvet cake. The cream cheese icing was light and wasnt too sweet. However there was a lot more of it than the actual red velvet that made it a bit disappointing (ie too much cream cheese frost filling to cake ratio) Next time it's gonna be a skip.

Last time I visited this place in 2019. I ordered a red velvet cake,it was delicious. It took me more than 3 years to visit again. It hasn’t disappointed me at all. They are still carrying the same taste with the red velvet. This time I have tried few other pastries. And most of them are delicious. Pistachio delight was superb. It has an excellent filling of some kind of berries jam which fits well with it.I must say after such a long time it still maintains that expectation. This place is a hidden gem and a must try one in your bucket list for all sweet tooth persons.

The ambiance is very cute. The pastries are all beautiful decorated but when it comes to taste it leaves you feeling empty and wanting more. I bought a variety of things spending around $85, compared to the presentation I was expecting the taste to be equally exquisite but was shocked at the let down once I actually tasted it. Sad to say but I really get catfished by these pastries. So no I will not be returning wver again.

A staple pastry and bakery shop for many many years. Their cakes are ones that we often buy for parties and gatherings and a little indulgence for myself (the single serve ones). Recently tried their croissant pistachio wheel and it was hefty, in a good way! Lots of flakiness like a croissant should be but also filled with yummy pistachio custard. This is definitely a sharing piece. Also grabbed an ice coffee and it was refreshing!

This was my first time coming to a classy bakery or pastry place, which had a huge variety of pastries, croissants macaroons, and also different types of bread, I have never seen a place like this anywhere in the GTA which is this affordable and also is very delicious at the same time. My only issue would be that they don’t have any seating other than a few side tables. I wish they would have at least a few tables in the middle which people can sit down and try their delicious pastries yet if you are taking it out or giving it to somebody, I would definitely recommend coming here.

Hands down this place is the best pastry shop in Toronto! Every treat is a masterpiece – perfect tastes, delightful textures, vibrant colors, and creative brilliance. And don't even get me started on the out-of-this-world coffee. Perfection in every bite and sip!

Came here to pick up a last minute anniversary cake (Black Noir) They have a wide assortment of pastries and cakes here (Gluten free options too). They have a large space for people who just want to sit, savour their goodies &/ meet up with friends for their coffee /pastry. They also sell breads, cookies and other edible accompaniments. Price is moderate. Loved the ambience too. Staff are polite and very helpful if you have any questions about what's what...(also keep in mind, the place gets busy on weekends) Hope to visit again soon to pick up other goodies!

Loved the strawberry shortcake my husband got for me. I prefer the cakes which are less sweet, and the lady at the store helped my husband with this one. I really loved the taste of cake and strawberries. It's a tad bit on the pricey side though.

Very nice, quality made cakes. You pay for them, but it's worth every penny. Nice to see it caters to gluten intolerant folks as well. The macarons are great! Every time I'm in Toronto I make a trip here!

The best cakes in Toronto- we used to come here years ago, and recently rediscovered it again. Try their berry cheesecake or their signature cake Amadeus. You really can’t go wrong with anything you try here! :)

Omgoodness!!!! This is a definite gem we stumbled upon!!! The croissants are luscious with different flavors and fillings. The artisan cakes were a both beyond my price range (as were the $8.50 Honore pastries but the cakes were 6c that price) but looked impeccably crafted. A lovely customer realizing it was our first time took us on a tour of her favourite wares. The brioches were my favourite. It really brought me back to Amiens and Rouen, France… the brioches and croissants were that authentic. These guys would get a 5 from me but their prices drop them down a star. Everyone should be able to experience this patisserie, not just those who can afford it.

I have always had a very positive experience with Amadeus bakery and I have tried a wide variety of their products, including cakes, pastries, croissants, and more. The taste is "most indulging," and no other bakery comes close in terms of style, craftsmanship, freshness, and taste. NO OTHER. And I have been to many!!! The fact that every item in their bakery is created with love, care, and attention to detail is certainly a testament to the quality of their products. The ingredients used are the freshest and have rich flavors and delicious aromas, which is always a good sign when it comes to baked goods! Overall,I highly recommend Amadeus bakery and have enjoyed their products immensely. If anyone is looking for a bakery with exquisite taste and high-quality ingredients, Amadeus bakery is worth a visit.

Went to get some for my mom’s birthday, as the place is my mom’s favourite. Good selection of pastries, ordered 5 delicious small pieces. As a longtime customer, the price went up slightly, but the taste still so good. I’d come back to get some treats from time to time, clean place with friendly staff all the time.

Great selection of cakes and bakery. Prices are too high, not content with prices. Mouses are too creamy, high sugar. Prefer pies which are not creamy and better price at the same time. Friendly staff. Clean and quick customer service.

This place was recommended by our friend so we decided to try it. The cakes here are looked amazing! It was hard to choose. The regular cakes are $40-$45. We bought multiple small “mini” cakes for tasting. Each “mini” cake was about $7 (before tax). The chocolate was very, very sweet. The cream was rich. Ate half of a “mini” cake and was full. It’s worth a taste.

Amazing, very fast service. The place is gorgeous. Cakes, macarons, croissants, and other pastries are super delicious, baked and presented perfectly. Apologies for the blurry photos, had to screenshot from a video as reviews don’t allow videos!

Finally got to try this place today. It’s been recommended by multiple friends & colleagues. While there are no complaints with quality, variety or availability they’re steeply priced. I’ll gladly return to try other items but won’t be able to do so as frequently as I would like to. Edit: served a very highly recommended (strawberry shortcake) item at my friend’s birthday party. It was a huge hit. I love the fact that they use real whipped cream (good consistency and not too sweet), slightly tart strawberries enhanced the flavour). Edit 2! Also tried their tiramisu… SO good. Haven’t been disappointed yet!

It's easily the best pastry place in the whole of Canada. Mango moose cake is to die for. Almond croissants are better than what you get in Paris. Staff are always courteous, and this place is spotlessly clean.

I was introduced to this place by a friend as he purchases often here. Decided to make the drive and visit myself. Staff are friendly and very efficient but most of all place is clean and the cakes are well made. I find not too sweet, which is my preference. Prices are definitely reasonable for the quality offered. Would recommend.
