Got the Tongue Depressor on a waffle and it was delicious! I usually enjoy their crepes more but decided to try their waffles and was not disappointed. Very chocolate-y and sweet, I definitely would not be able to eat the entire plate by myself (we split this four way and it was just perfect). If you are a chocolate fan this is for you! This location has great service and very cute aesthetic. Would recommend!

We had a very bad experience in this location, first they took wrong item for us (waffle instead of crepes ) and then we found a ‘human hair’ in our plate that was really disgusting as it was inside of our ice cream. We told them and then after a couple of minutes, they back and just say we are sorry (even supervisor/ manager didn’t come to our table. ) And then we expect to not pay for the second item but they didn’t accept it.They just suggested that we order another item from menu. As it shows, we left our banana split and just ordered a new one to take (just because we prefer to not waste our money, but we really didn’t want to pay) It was an expensive bill (+50 CAD for two items) For our first experience in this location, we had a very bad time there and I didn’t see any customer service from that team. We are really disappointed and never recommend this to anyone!

Last Friday night, I visited Demetres at Shops at Don Mills with a group of friends and the experience was nothing short of delightful. Despite the restaurant being packed, signaling its popularity, the ambiance was lively and welcoming. The service stood out exceptionally. Not only was it efficient in such a busy setting, but also incredibly friendly. The staff seemed genuinely happy to assist, contributing greatly to the overall positive experience. The decor of Demetres deserves a special mention. It's stylish yet comfortable, creating a perfect backdrop for a night out with friends. The vibe it gave off was both trendy and inviting, making us feel immediately at ease. Now, onto the main event - the desserts! They were a dream for any sweet tooth. Each dessert was not just delicious but also extremely large, making them perfect for sharing. This aspect turned our dessert time into a fun, communal experience, as we all got to sample different flavors. I cannot recommend Demetres enough. From the bustling yet cozy atmosphere to the indulgent desserts and top-notch service, everything was impeccable. It's a place I would definitely visit again and suggest to anyone looking for a delightful dessert experience in the area.

We decided to have dessert and it was an amazing decision to visit this place. Its a beautiful place with some amazing dessert. The presentation is unbelievable and equally delicious. The stand out was the red velvet cheesecake. The crepes and sundaes were delicious too. The girls for were great on the customer service side as well. Overall an amazing place that is worth every penny.

This is definitely the cutest desert spot in town! I wasn't sure what to expect. I ordered the seasonal cherry waffle ice cream and it was SO GOOD. so much flavour I loved the little meringue it came with and the actual cherries. It was gorgeous and delicious. The waitress we had was very nice! She asked if I had been here before and then explained the menu and which deserts were popular. She stopped by a few times to ask how everything was and was over all very friendly. The restaurant was spotless and had the cutest decor, the banana wall in the back was so cute! Over all I really enjoyed this experience and will be returning!

The location is bright, cheerful, and beautifully decorated. I was promptly greeted by a warm and friendly server who seated us, provided water, and menus. We ordered the Moo La La Liege Waffle and it was a delicious, chocolate-nutty combination. The Roche ice cream had a light chocolate flavour with a hint of nuttiness and sheets of chocolate folded into it for a nice texture contrast. The waffle itself was dense and chewy, as promised, and complimented the deeper chocolate-nutty flavours of the flavour that was ordered. There was a generous amount of sliced banana and crunchy praline topping that provided further flavour and texture contrast. Mid-way through consumption, the server changed over, but our server continued to be attentive, gracious, and friendly as the previous server. I enjoyed my experience and would definitely return in the future.

Have been here multiple times. Very convenient location and consistent for food quality. I got the unbruvleable on a Belgian waffle and stormy weather ice coffee. The waffle came with a giant scoop of ice cream and creme bruleed bananas. It was delicious and I would definitely order it again. The desserts came out soon after ordering and always look super appealing. Would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion. The service is a bit slow as there doesn't seem to be too many servers versus the number of tables that they tend to. They are super friendly but it was relatively slow service.

Try the famous waffle with my friend. Staffs are super friendly and food is served efficiently. The interior is comfy and perfect for different parties sizes. The seasonal menu is freshly launched and please the Canadian maple collection. The food tastes great. Although the sugar level for me is too sweet, i still amazed by the pear sorbet.

If you love desserts…this is your go-to place!! One of the best crepes and waffles I have eaten!! You can customize the options as per your likings and this calls for so much variety!! Alert: the portions are BIG Enough to make it worthy of the price…. Even though there were empty tables, the staff made every customer, elderly or with children, stand at the door to place them at the tables, I did not like this. But the waiters are good at the service. There are no pictures or prices on the menu, so you either have to take a risk and try something or eat something you know. The place is crowded and they use more music to drown out the sound. The portions are satisfying, but my plate seemed stale. it wasn't a good experience

If you need your chocolate cravings fixed, this is one of the places to be. We tried their tongue depressor which is chocolate on top of chocolate on top of chocolate on top of more chocolate! We chose to have liege waffle, which was nice and crispy on some edges and soft on the inside. Also tried two scoops of their artisan ice cream: strawberry Royale and honey vanilla. The scoops came in a cone shape glass with whipped cream, wedge piece of a thin wafer, and a chocolate piece on top. Strawberry Royale had a decent mild strawberry flavor. It was creamy and its berry flavour was complimentary to have in contrast to the plate of rich chocolate explosion we had. The honey vanilla was sadly so so disappointing. Lacked flavour. You could see some specks of vanilla beans in the ice cream, but really did not taste like vanilla or honey. It was just something creamy and cold with no flavour. We also had latte, which we wished it would have come with the waffles because by the time the waffles came, the latte was near finished and cold. The overall aesthetic of this location is very pleasing and cute. It seems like a great location to hang out with your friends or loves ones to have dessert.

Friendly service, great menu (even better than the one in downtown Markham), and solid food. We got the flight ice cream platter. More than enough for 5 or 6 people. I’d double tap on the mango sorbet, Ferrero Rocher, Coco Chanel, and vanilla. The cookie crumbs were a genius touch.

Ice cream and deserts were tasty but the service was awful. We waited so long to get seated. Water glasses came half full. Spoons were dirty. We got a banana split to share and it first arrived almost all melted (we were sitting inside). We asked them to remake it and it came back better the second time.

The service was appallingly slow for no apparent reason. Our many attempts to flag down a server were consistently ignored. It took nearly 30 minutes for a server to approach us. When the server finally approached us he didn't offer any apologies and was very dry and direct while taking our order. He never once returned to check in to make sure our food was okay, though we saw him strolling around. Interestingly, we noted other tables were provided water upon being seated, however, we had to specifically ask for it after a while as we were not given any. After we were finished our desserts, we couldn't find our server. He just disappeared without a word and we had to flag down someone else for the bill. Never experienced this type of treatment anywhere before. Otherwise, the food tasted fine but it is definitely not worth the price, especially given the service.

Took my son to get some dessert, it was a quiet evening, it wasn’t crowded. Like on some evenings we’ve tried to go there. He loved the ice cream, we’ll definitely be going back. There’s a lot of fantastic desserts on their menu that we haven’t tried yet.

Can’t go wrong with handcrafted ice cream and made-to-order waffles and crepes! Demetres has been one of my favourites restaurants to visit over the last decade, and this location is no exception. Even though it’s quite busy, it’s very spacious so waiting times are minimal. The service is great and the ever-changing menu never disappoints! A great spot for a date or a late-night craving !

Demetres is always one of our go-to dessert spots when we're craving something sweet. We got the Tongue Depressor on a Belgian waffle. Which is Cocoa Chanel ice cream, brownies, French dark chocolate sauce, and Belgian white chocolate buttons. This was only $18.50. Given the portion size you get, the price is well worth it. We've been coming to Dimitris for years now. Mostly the one on Danforth (excellent) and now this one here for the last few years. All the desserts we ordered were good as usual but the service here was bad. This is such a letdown because when the service is bad it wrecks the experience. I ordered coffee and when it came it was cold (not even warm). When I finally got our server to come back she apologized and said something about the machine was off or something. Still how could you not tell this wasn't hot. After about 10 more minutes I asked for my coffee and was assured it was coming right out. We all finished our desserts then our server came again and asked if I still want my coffee as she can tell we're done now and ready to go. Plus issue with the other dessert as it was missing the extra topping we ordered but didn't send back. I asked for the bill and guess what, my non-existent coffee was on the bill. It was taken off, we paid and left. This is the 2nd time in a row we've had issues and probably last time will be hitting this location.

Cute dessert spot, nice for small groups. Many rich dessert items. Caramel Fudge Brownie Cheesecake was excellent. Ice cream scoop size is quite generous. There were Banana Passion Fruit and Mango sorbet as far as vegan options go. First one was delicious. Service is quick whether dine in or take out.

Fabulous desserts! Dare I say that the flavours have improved since their rebranding! The ambience at this location is just beautiful, and our server William was an absolute delight.

They have really good deserts and huge servings. It is good for big groups. Service was a bit slow but it's ok for big groups.

This place is definitely busier the normal. Service was extremely slow, it took 30 mins just for someone to come to take an order. My friend went back to use the washroom and they didn’t even let them back in. The dessert was good.

It was a decent atmosphere. Nice staff, but very slow. The quality of the dessert did not meet the Demetres standard. I've had better at another location. I had ordered the Splitsonian Waffle. The ice cream lost its smooth creamy texture and was too frozen, which ended up changing the taste. As, for the waffle, I prefer the crepe instead. However, the food presentation was good. But I wouldn't want to come back to this location.

This is my favourite location in Toronto. The place is very nicely built and decorated. The patio is also amazing. The staff is very friendly and washrooms are always very clean. If you go at night there is plenty of free parking.

One of the few late night dessert spots in the area, so it’s very popular in the evenings. Seems like a great girls night out or date spot. We came Friday night and it was packed. There’s lots of seating inside and also a reasonably sized patio outside. We got the pomme pilot liege waffle and the yuzu lemonade. Everything tasted really good. Prices were pretty high for dessert but portions were quite large to make up for that. Two people could probably comfortably share one waffle, the scoop of ice cream they put on there is bigger than my fist.

Probably my favorite dessert place! We got the Brewa Lipa which was amazing! It was a perfect balance of coffee and sweet caramel - definitely an autumn treat and a must try! It's huge so it's good for sharing with another person. Coming back here for sure!

It’s a really nice demetres to sit in and I’ve been here multiple times. Wide variety of desserts and you can even design your own crepe/waffle. They’re just lacking service wise. It can get quite busy at times, and the service becomes very slow and your ice cream can arrive melted.

We went mid day when the store was less than half full. There were 3-4 waitresses on the floor and they were nice however extremely slow and lack attention. We sat there waiting to order and waiting to pay the bill, both times staring at them without them noticing for at least 10 minutes. Not once did anyone come by our table to check how we were doing or if the water needed filling. I'm just glad we came when it was less busy because with the skills, customer service, and attention to detail of these waitresses, I cannot even imagine the amount of time I would have to waste waiting for service during evenings when I know this store gets packed with waitlists. I got the tongue depressor Belgian waffle. The waffle was good. Chocolate syrup on the waffle, white chocolate bits, and brownies taste store bought which does not justify the price of this dish. Also, overall brownie overload! Proportion did not feel right as there we're more brownie in the ice cream than chocolate ice cream, and then again brownie sprinkled throughout the waffle.

Dessert was great but for some reason the waitress was really confused two of us asked to substitute one of the ingredients in our waffles. I asked for no white buttons and to add strawberries but got both, without any sauce. My friend asked for dark chocolate on the side but got white chocolate, then milk chocolate so we just gave up on sending that back. The waitress also didn’t check in on our table but it was very busy so I understand.

If I could give them infinite stars, I would love to. Their shakes, ice creams, everything are spectacular. Beautiful dining area, cheerful servers, overall a lovely vibe always. Their dessert and shakes look exactly the same as pictures in their menu. I am amazed with such skilled chefs who make perfect desserts everytine.

We had a great time at Demetres with the family. Food was a bit delayed and took over 25mins to arrive. We had a great hardworking waitress who was very patient with our kids. The food was fresh and tasted great, we loved how the presentation was too. Would suggest they do better with staff and not overwhelm them with so many customers.

The quality of the food was good it is always a pleasure to visit demetres this location is always nice to visit. If i talk about the quality of food it is always the best . It never disappoints me. I always visit here. The presentation is always really tempting you feel fresh when you look at food .. The staff is very friendly and nice. They always greet you with smile and they have a very nice attitude. But i would say specially i ordered Mo La la french crepe it was really nice. The presentation was on point very fresh and nice..I would say if you have a sweet tooth like me you should visit this place once. You will never be disappointed at all. I would highly recommend to everyone .

I had a pleasant visit to this location. the server greeted us with a smile and promptly seated us. I appreciate that he spread out the customers so we are not all crowded together. I ordered the Unbrulevable Liege Waffle Neat. It came neatly plated with every banana nicely bruleed. It was not too sweet since I opted for no ice cream. The crunchy bits gave a good texture with every bite. I recommend coming here for a nice treat.

My first time here, mainly to eat cheesecake, but it was absolutely terrible. The cheesecake you see in the picture was almost 80% frozen and it tasted like you were eating ice cream cake not a cheesecake and so expensive for the quality and the portion that you get, this one was $17!!! The seats are very close to each other and you have no privacy. Save your money and go to the cheesecake factory if you want a decent cheesecake with a good price.

Excellent trip today. I loved the place, decor and the food. Presentation was amazing, clean and neat. Milkshake was so tasty and thick as well. We ordered liege waffle pretty in pink and oreo milkshake. Great Customer Service. Overall, great experience.

We ordered 'My Main Squeeze' waffle and it did not disappoint. It included lemon meringue pie ice cream with actual very generous chunks of pie in the ice cream, it gave the ice cream great depth of flavour and great texture. The lemon curd sauce was very creamy and tart and the lemon shortbread was just ok but gave the dessert texture. And there were lot of blueberries that helped freshen up the dessert. Overall a great balance of taste and texture as a dessert but be warned about the tartness. You can never go wrong with the waffle desserts because the portion is always very big that can feed 2 or 3 people and I love how they always plate the desserts. The customer service is always great, host greets and seats you instantly and the waiters always serve you right away and makes sure everything is good with your meal. Would come again.

This location is conveniently located close by a parking garage. We were promptly greeted and seated at a quiet table. Our server was attentive and polite. He came by and checked up on us a few times throughout the visit. I ordered the Pretty in Pink crepe. It came with tons of fresh strawberries. I really enjoy the crunchy bits. Overall, delicious. I would recommend coming here for a sweet treat.

Presentation is very pretty and the desserts are very, very sweet. If you enjoy very sweet desserts you will enjoy any item on their menu. The decor is very cute and inviting. The chocolate cake was dense and decadent. Highly recommended if you're a chocolate lover. I would recommend Demetres to use less xanthan gum or other stabilizers in their ice cream. I've never experienced "chewing" ice cream until I had this ice cream. It was very chewy, gummy, and stretchy.
