Awesome place for Japanese Culture. We got in for free for DoorsOpen TO (yearly free event). Very cool and interactive art. Great place for all ages. They had a glass wall where you can watch martial arts live. Also have a daycare somewhere in the centre I hear great things about. It's quite small but still awesome.

I went there during the Doors Open Toronto, not very interesting because most of the stuffs are explanation in pictures, no actual objects. The interesting thing is watching the Japanese Kendo.

Great place to learn about Japanese culture. There are several Sakura trees throughout the property so in the spring it is quite lovely to take in the beauty of the blossoms. There’s a decent sized parking lot but it can get busy in the afternoon.

2022 October 4★ Late night for Nuit Blanc, this cultural center offered origami and tea tasting/ceremony for those interested in Japanese culture. The building is very nice and there's a lot of history here. A small section for Japanese goods for purchase, two areas for dojo training as well as conference rooms. Free parking on-site.

Being 3rd generation Japanese.... the JCCC gives our family a sense of pride and joy to volunteer, attend, celebrate, shop, eat and most importantly gather.! What a true extension of family :)

Nice building. Quite spacious. Sufficient parking space. JCCC hosts cultural events and activities every month. I’ve been there several times as event vendor. Glad to have business opportunities there and learn the Japanese culture as well.

Been to the JCC a number of times, now for the cherry blossoms. Lovely location. Tons of programming within. Space to rent for community events. Ample parking with many accessible parking spots.

Been going to this event venue for years. There's a definite lack of organization, oversight, and professionalism. They don't follow-up in a timely manner and security events that involve health and safety is not taken seriously. Try e-mailing them and you'll see. I do believe that improvements need to be made in both communication, logistical and managerial accountability. They pretty much have no security despite hosting large event run venues that possibly involve troubled *guests*.

Underrated Cherry blossom spot in Toronto with many trees in parking lot.

A great place to visit especially if you love to learn about or experience Japanese culture. I would highly recommend the centre as a perfect school field trip destination! But be sure to inquire what you'd like in your program. The main floor mostly has a traditional Japanese restaurant (reservations are a must). The upper floor contains conference rooms and a hub of businesses. I mostly come to the centre to do my taxes and each time I'm blessed and amazed by the beautiful Sakura trees that blossom when I visit. So don't be too shocked that some visitors take pictures in front of the trees! It's a picturesque place!

This place is wonderful. People are very nice, free parking is available for visitors, and the space is beautiful. So many cultural things happening all the time. At the moment there is an art exhibition at the gallery, mind blowing. Highly recommended!

Excellent dance/convention venue. All room floors (and some hallway floors) are danceable. There are multiple large event rooms, and several smaller rooms across two floors. Some rooms have dividers and fold-away seating for more flexible layout. All of the event rooms have sufficient power for DJ operations.

Nice place to learn Japanese Canadian history. Just it. Far away from real Japanese culture, as it’s need more details of Japanese taste….

Every year we come here to view and take photo with cherry blossom, trees are shorter and we can see the flowers up close. Go in morning to avoid crowded and for easy parking

Visiting this centre was a dive into Japanese culture. I was lucky to attend the celebration of Gujo Odori, a spectacular DIY dance accompanied by live streaming directly from Japan. A terrific atmosphere in a welcoming ambient. Recommended ! !

The Centre is free to enter, hosts numerous film festivals, art shows and workshops through the year. It also houses a restaurant, but needs advance reservation. They also have about 20 sakura trees of varying maturity.

Lovely building. Went to an anime convention years ago here, and also to a tea tasting ceremony during nuit blanche. Wish it was not so in the middle of no where - if they opened a small tea shop or japanese bakery like some other museum has cafes, it would be great!

I went to this location to attend THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING for L.O.F.T. in September 2023. Also, I attended a wedding reception at this location many years ago. It is a beautiful venue.

Enrolled a course and got postponed for 1.5 year due to pandemic. During this period they sent emails about fund raising and membership renew… but didn’t get any service. All courses are not refundable. During the workshop, they recommend you to buy stuff from their shop…

Beautiful place for Sakura blooming visit in late April. I also love their film festival in June of each year.

Great place to visit. The history museum is small but interesting. The special exhibit area often has very interesting art. Lots of other on-going and special events for everyone. The cherry blossoms are worth seeing in the spring.

Hosted my daughter’s birthday party at room 2D. The venue is very neat and clean. Yoko Macmulan ensured everything that I asked for. I always loved Japanese culture. They lived upto my expectations. The washrooms are also very clean. Overall good experience!

New years events were awesome. There's a little gallery where kids can learn about Japanese food.

A beautiful little museum section. I appreciate that there is a viewing area for the programming. It's inspired me to look into kyudo.

Beautiful place, I went for an anime convention here. Lots of room to walk around and enjoy the various historical displays they have, love the viewing area where the classes are happening, amazing vending machine. My favourite part was the extremely detailed miniature display of a Japanese town.

It's a community centre that has been maintained very well over the years! I come here often for my classes as well! They have lots of activities and classes year round if you're interested in the Japanese culture.

I've been volunteering to do gardening, weeding, planting, and pruning Sakura cherry trees during the pandemic. The crew gathers twice monthly. Originally women responded to the call for help, but the Kendo club members have joined recently. The added numbers and muscle are much appreciated.

Attended small event at the center. The area was very clean, strong air conditioning. Wonderful place to visit!

It is a clean, quiet and multi-functional community centre for Japanese. Honestly, Japanese is a very small community in GTA so the centre doesn't have many events or activities going all the time. Hopefully the centre can arrange more events and shows in future.

Wonderful facility, warm and helpful staff. I was fortunate to stumble through during an open house. There is so much cultural expression, and available programs, and classes. Worth a revisit.

Worth a visit. Free to the public. Bus stops one building away. After visiting the Aga Khan Museum, I left my car in their parking lot ($10 parking/day) and crossed the road to the Japanese Cultural Centre. Interesting facts on the migration of the Japanese people across the globe and their treatment in Canada's past. Really liked the huge diorama of the port village, the art and artefacts on display. Small but nice Japanese garden outside.
