It is an amazing place. There is so much interesting information about Richmond Hill. We attended Victorian tea party of 5 years old. Set up was bueitifull, view from windows calming. The only thing that I wasn't really liked was that it's not a drop of party. The place is small and parents stand and didn't really have a place for 2 hours. This part of the party needs to be thinking through... And I would add older kids group like 13-16 year old with dress up option. Few Victorian style dresses and a tea party for teenagers will be a memorable experience for birthdays or special occasions.

Had an absolutely lovely high tea here. Liked the scones and clotted cream better here than at the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac!

A lovely spot I was unaware of until a friend booked us for afternoon tea. We went on the right day because there was a special bit of "info-tainment". Two gentlemen were there to tell of some interesting history of the area and time, as well as sing some relevant songs from that period (one man was a guitarist), read an interesting poem about the spice route and how it was viewed as rather mystical back then, and then everyone joined in singing a song with them! It was pretty magical and heartwarming. Food was fresh, tasty and quite enough, and the tea choices were lovely. Nice view of the back terrace and gardens (would be beautiful in the warm weather). The house itself is charming and full of rich historical info from way back when. So glad I went!

I must admit, I havent actually been inside but my daughter was volunteering last summer at day camp and said it was nice. I only saw the outside from my car but the back yard looked great. Does that count?

Cute is the word to describe it. The people in charge seem to be updating and advancing it on a periodic, regular basis (and some descriptions were so new they weren't properly proof-read before being posted). For the people that like local history, the one you cannot find easily (if at all) in regular history textbooks, it is a trove of information about our community, laid out in a systematic, orderly way that is easy to grasp and understand. Definitely worth an hour of our time!

Lovely quiet place in downtown Richmond Hill. Nestled away from Yonge street, this heritage center has very well kept lawns and flower gardens. The outdoors are open to public 24/7 at no cost. Thinking of a kids birthday party, this is a perfect place for a unique tea party for kids.

Attended their Mother's Day afternoon tea and thoroughly enjoyed it! The tea was wonderful and we were pleasantly surprised by the poetry readings.

We had mother's Day afternoon tea. It was very lovely. We have to try it again in the summer when all the flowers are in bloom.
