This is the closest hospital to us. Friendly staff. Not so big compare to other hospitals in Toronto. Lots of parking. Visiting a patient only one at a time unless a patient is isolated no visitors allowed. There is a security screening by the entrance. Prepare your vaccine records.

One of the worst, degrading experiences of my life. Back in Jan 2020 (so prior to the pandemic), I had a severe allergic reaction to hair dye. Both of my eyes were almost completely swollen shut - I had to have a friend accompany me to Centenary Hospital. The doctor must have assessed me for about a min, told me that I had "contact dermatitis" (which was true), but that I needed to "just wait it out". I was shocked...I COULD BARELY SEE. I asked if there was any medication(s) and/or a shot that I could have to speed up the process (I had been living on allergy medications for days and it was not helping). He said "nope....wait it out" in a very flippant tone. Then when I asked for a sick note he said " but you're not sick...it's contact dermatitis..." I know I'm not sick, but I can't go to work AND be productive without my sight..lol? I'm usually down for a little sarcastic banter, but it wasn't the time or place He wrote a note and my friend helped me home. A few hours later I had to go to ANOTHER hospital as the swelling was getting worse. I was admitted and given a shot (what I asked for at Centenary) and the swelling went down within a few hours. I was able to go home with sight! I write this two years later because it still bothers me. If you are that apathetic to vulnerable patients, perhaps it's time to take some time off or retire. I ALSO write this to encourage people to advocate for themselves. I regret not standing up for myself as I knew that there was something he could have done to help me. If I had this doctor's name I would name and shame, but fortunately for him I do not. If you are ever in situation where you need medical care please do not be afraid to stick up for yourself!!

Terrible experience: I had severe back pain and called 911 and had to wait 16 hours which totally understandable because of weather and assisting different severe cases of emergencies but after I reached the hospital I was given a wheelchair to sit and I was waiting for 5h28mins before someone came to me and discussed my situation, the doctor called a nurse and she was told I need a pain killer vaccine but she refused to the doctor on his face saying she is busy with other patients and I was left unattended. If reaching the hospital with Ambulance gives you this kind of service, I wonder what hard time does the regular walk in patients had to suffer. Poor staff, very bad experience. Never going to this hospital again.

Took my two week baby to the ER because they were not feeding and were vomiting. We went in at 11:30pm and decided to leave at 4 am because we still had not been seen. When we told the ER desk we were leaving the nurse came and saw us and got the doctor. We were seen by the doctor in 2 min. I understand that there were more critical patients then us but a two week old baby that wasn’t eating and was vomiting is pretty intense and we should have been seen right away not four hours later because we decided to go home.

My baby was only 2 days old and my wife still couldn’t come out of the pain. My baby was crying like insane for 3 hours and I found blood on the diaper. So I rushed to the hospital. The security boy was very kind to let me in faster. But right after I registered, I had to wait for over 2 hours considering my wife’s pain was going intolerable and my baby was getting red crying. They put us in a waiting room and nobody bothered to come ask about my baby’s status. I was so panicked that I ran into the department directly and begged one RN to send a doctor immediately just see whether anything is really serious. The RN was simply standing and smiling with his colleague. I urged him as my baby is only 2 days old but even he didn’t bother to come and check what’s going on with my baby. I waited for another 1 hour as he mentioned that he was going to send a doctor immediately. Nobody appeared. My wife and I didn’t even had dinner, my baby’s feeding time was going over but unfortunately I didn’t get any service. I had to leave as I had to feed my baby and my wife was also losing it. I left without any service. I don’t know whether anyone from the management would see this experience or not, if any of them does, please do something so that an unfortunate person like me doesn’t have to go through the same experience again. Thanks to SHN for providing us with this kind of service.

The emergency department doesn't even worth 1 star. I have been sitting here in so much pain for 3 hours . They put me in a room no sign of no one to come to check on me. No doctors no nurses. I go to emergency receptionist no answer. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL. Every nurse is more interested chatting and laughing in the hallways not even caring for patients. They need a better night shift supervisor.

This is the closest hospital for people in Scarborough however it doesn’t matter because no matter what’s your health condition, be it dislocated shoulder, broken leg or even dying situation these guys will ask you to wait for no less than 4-6 hours. Trying to talk to Registered Nurses or hospital staff they give no attention and walk away while you are speaking. Hospital Considerate towards patients zero rating. Hospital will only consider your situation when you call 911 because guess what they make money out of it. My suggestion would be they change the name from Emergency to whenever we feel like working. Ridiculous experience.

The Emergency room staff is absolutely out of hand. They just yell at patients and talk them with a very rude attitude. After sitting in the emergency for over an hour, we still haven't had a single person attend to us or even start the triage process. Meanwhile both ladies at triage just chit chatting about their kids and credit cards, both have been on 10 min breaks but not one has seen a single patient NOT ONE, while the other at check in just keep repeating that we need to pay more tax (repairs this over and over) anytime some asks any type of question, they just talk over the patients repeating the same thing to them about taxes and doctors. This is horrible and unacceptable behavior. I understand it is a hard job but if you can't take the heat GET OUT of the kitchen. No need to put it on sick and stressed patients.

Please never come to this hospital EVER in case in emergency. I brought my 1 year son with fever I waited for 3:30 hours , saw other patients came after my son but got into the room before my son. I asked the nurse why they don't respect who comes first and she was really rude and told me that people that are more sick have the priority. MY SON HAS A FEVER!!! And it's getting worse. I will not recommend anyone to come to this hospital, even if it's really close to my home , I will go to Scarborough General Hospital or Pickering. I will give NO star.

Very kind nurses and the doctors were nice and took care of me. Even though I really wasn’t feeling well it was nice to see they had a tv and that made my experience in there a lot better. This room is really nice and the bed was very clean. Thanks to the nurses who helped me and tried to not poke me so hard when taking blood. They were really gentle. I would definitely recommend this hospital ! :)

Honestly avoid having surgery done here if you can. The surgeon was great but the anesthesiologist was very disrespectful to my fiancé after he had a bad reaction to the anesthesia and yelled at him while he was in recovery. The nurses are nice but very unhelpful. The nurse call button in his room was broken (i reported this to 4 different staff and each time was told that they’d look into it, no one did) so I had to physically call nurses in for help. When he started vomiting blood there was no one around to help. They also transferred a Covid positive patient in the room with him and realized 6+ hours after they tested that patient. One word to describe this hospital is NEGLECTFUL.

The customer service is horrible. And myself as a black person? The black staff there are even more rude to our own people. Black nurse with short hair in the triage didnt even acknowledge me initially when my husband was speaking to her, and when she did, she was like “who is she” with so much attitude. And then I called into just find out the time about an appointment and whoever picked up the phone was so unprofessional, she should be fired. She literally hung up the phone in my face when I asked her a simple question. Like if you dont like your job, leave. Your dealing with people, dont take your problems out on me. Thank you very much

I swear it is the worst hospital I have ever been to in my entire life. I took my daughter because her chest hurt and she was very dizzy, almost fainting and the only thing they know to say to everyone is that she is anxiety. They don't teach Canada's "doctors" that illnesses are not called anxiety and that many illnesses have symptoms that resemble anxiety? It is not possible that in countries like Mexico there are thousands of Canadians consulting their doctors every year because the medical service in Canada is completely incompetent and in this hospital the doctors are very rude. The dictator said that I lie about my blurred vision from three months ago and that I only have anxiety, my 12-year-old son was told that he only has anxiety and they will continue to believe that everyone has anxiety because the government does not want to invest a single dollar in taking care of the health of those of us who live in Canada and if we want them to take care of us, we must pay more in addition to the thousands of taxes they charge us. That is why Canada's medical service is listed as the worst in the world. it's a horrible hospital. I came from 12:49 and it is 3:48. Nobody attends to me and there is only another person and I waiting, nobody gives me reports and the doctors have not even gone to the emergency room. Zero stars. *** I left the hospital at 4:30 and nobody attended to me. I just wasted my time and I still feel bad, I will go to another hospital.

Worst experience ever. The emergency room does for perform like one. I’ve waited in pain for 4 hours and no staff cares. In Covid there is no social distancing or any kind of precautions followed. DO NOT come here. The staff at the counter where you show health card is so rude, she does t care about the patient’s problems. I HATE IT, I repeat if in EMERGENCY NEVER COME HERE.

The emergency area need improvement. The waiting period is absurd. I have COVID w compromised immune system and a heart condition. I was in pain and felt so chilled. I waited 3 hours and decided to walk out. I needed the antiviral agent administered ASAP. The last time I came I waited 5 hours for oxygen for asthma. This hospital never fails to disappoint. It is unclear if patients are prioritized or seen as they come in.

Really rude people. In the midst of a family emergency, a loved one suddenly being moved within the hospital and us trying to find him, we were given the wrong extension number and the lady who picked up was so rude!!!!!!!! She hung up on me after me trying to explain this is the only extension i was given. No cares at all. Then trying to call the general number is the same thing, the women who answer these phones are so rude and unprofessional. You would think they have kind and compassionate people on the other line but NOPE!!!! Avoid

Took my wife for emergency there at 3am. Doctor checked her at 7am & told she can go home around 3pm. 3 bags of Saline and released her to home with medication. Pain was same so next day took her to Scarborough General. Doctors were mad that she was suppose to get admitted yesterday. Scarborough General had to re-do her blood and Ct scan because That hospital dint provided us any report after staying at emergency for 13 hours. REQUEST TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GO TO THAT HOSPITAL FOR EMERGENCY, PLEASE EXPECT EXTRA 10 MINUTE DRIVE TO SCARBOROUGH GENERAL SO THAT U GET FIRST PROCESSING AND EXPERIENCED DOCTORS AND NURSES. PLEASE ! NB: SHE WAS ADMITTED AFTER ALL THE BLOOD WORK AND CT SCAN WITHIN 6 HOURS.

I've given birth twice in this hospital (2014 & 2022) and loved both experiences. Birthing centre is conveniently located on the main floor steps away from the entrance. No elevators needed! First set of doors brings you into a pleasant hallway with big windows letting in natural lighting and at the end of the hallway is another set of doors to the birthing centre where you are immediately greated by the reception desk. As soon as baby is delivered an ankle tag is placed on the baby to ensure she/he can not be taken out of the birthing centre without sounding the alarm and I believe doors automatically lock. On both occasions, the labour and delivery staff were amazingly attentive, caring and some were funny. Postpartum care was equally enjoyable. Centre appeared very clean.

I wasn’t expecting a pleasant experience this morning. Nobody wants to go to the hospital for tests. On arrival the maintenance man sweeping out front said good morning. The receptionist at check-in was smiling. I was lost and a friendly security guard found the department for me. The nurses and workers that I passed in the halls were all pleasant. In the nuclear stress test/cardiology department to my good fortune Lucy and Sheena were at work. I have had many injections and iv’s in 66 years and Lucy is No. 1 in that department. She is personable, knowledgeable and made everything stress free. Sheena was very friendly and explained everything to me which calmed me down. Some floors may be drab looking and the 1960 building may need updates, but the employees are what’s important and they brighten this hospital. Thanks Lucy and Sheena!

The current predicament of patients enduring prolonged waits leading toward potentially fatal outcomes within emergency facilities while nurses and doctors seemingly engage in convivial conversations, seemingly unperturbed by the urgency of the situation, raises substantial concerns. Such lapses in attentiveness and duty warrant rigorous reprimand and potential dismissal as a necessary measure to ensure accountability and prevent future occurrences of such negligence.

I was at Centenary Hospital for an angiogram today. All the nurses and doctors were wonderful. In particular was one nurse who I believe was named Chris who took exceptional care of me. She was kind hearted and attentive. I could not have asked for a lovelier nurse. I do not understand why there are so many negative reviews. My experience at this hospital was excellent.

I am being treated like complete trash at this hospital while in the process of delivering a baby. The volunteers at the main entrance behave like security and personal information is asked. Most of the nurses are entitled, racist, and look down on those who do not pay for a private room. You will wait 2hours to see doctor. Women are giving birth in the hall ways due to neglect and stereotypeing vegetarian are forced to eat nothing or meat. 3elderly nurses are worked like slaves and forced to be support personal to single mother. And if you dont like any of this treatment you can leave.

It was a wonderful experience at centenary hospital. Everyone is very kind and experienced there. There is no sense of impatience or rudeness even when I had multiple questions and requests. 10/10 Given what I observed from other patients at the hospital, I can understand why others may have a different experience. Some patients are very bad at listening and taking instructions. Which is obviously annoying for any medical professional when you have patients lined up. Some do the opposite of what they are told. Centenary hospital workers talk to each other like family. The atmosphere is very pleasant.

My grandmother suffered from random memory loss. She never had any memory problems before this and she was perfectly fine. They sent us home the first time we went and when it got worse we took her back. They did a CT scan and there was damage to the brain. Its been days and they keep delaying the MRI as she's worsening. The nurses here are rude. The doctors won't give answers & won't put in the effort to find answers. Please avoid this hospital for your loved ones!

Fantastic staff from initial screening, to triage, to intake...through entire emergency staff. A very busy hospital that works hard to take care of people. This is not McDonalds... where you are at the drive through, it is a hospital dealing with many different patients and their differing problems. Many thanks To Dr. Michael Chan and staff. I've never seen someone who is so dedicated to the patient. Very glad to have this hospital and team to take care of me. Judging from other reviews, you are not the only person there...the hospital team is aware of you, and they prioritize accordingly.

5 stars for some of the nurses and doctors - 0 for others. I visited their ER and Dr. Yu was very helpful and provided me proper care. However, his shift had ended and I was met with a different doctor who kept snapping at me for no apparent reason. In the report that I accessed, he had called me a "pleasant" patient, yet his manners towards me were the opposite! On a different visit, this hospital had saved my grandfather's life 3 times, but unfortunately could not on his 4th visit...

Dr. Bodega in the surgical unit is by the far the worst doctor I’ve come across in my entire life. Followed by Dr Elahi the doctor who Dr bodega refers his patients to because he is incapable of following up with them himself. Dr bodega and Dr elahi do not follow up with you as they say they will. Thanks to the incompetent Dr. Bodega I am left with permanent scarring. You should follow up with patient’s health matters as you promised. Your patients shouldn’t have to hunt you down. Appalled by the lack of care.

Excellent experience with an appointment I had scheduled here. Everyone from main lobby check-in to just staff passing by was helpful and polite. The diagnostic team was compassionate and so very kind. It seems many negative reviews focus on ER; unfortunately, with current underfunding of the system that probably won’t go away anytime soon and is not just limited to Centenary. The staff are trying their best with whatever resources they have at their disposal. Thank you for all your efforts and dedication!

I visited the audiology department today. The lady working the counter. Was completely rude and ignored me well standing there. But when her friend showed up was all tall to her. This is a great example of what's wrong with our Healthcare system. Apartently bedside manor is no longer a requirement.

For new people, finding a doctors office could be challenging but seek help, if required. Otherwise, no difference than other hospitals, definitely less busy than scarborough general hospital where an emergency visit could take 6 hrs.

This morning, I had the privilege of an early appointment, and the hospital staff left a lasting impression with their remarkable kindness and assistance. The self-check-in process pleasantly surprised me, considering it has been over two decades since my last visit to this hospital. The triage nurse, with her exceptional kindness and politeness, not only directed me to the X-ray diagnostic office but also made the entire experience more reassuring. It was at the X-ray diagnostic office that I encountered Rose, a true angel sent from above. Her attentive care preceding my medical procedure, performed by the physician, added an extra layer of comfort and support to my journey through the hospital

I’ve visited this hospital on multiple occasions and have never had any issues so far. But the girl that was doing my Brest ultrasound in the mammogram clinic was very unprofessional and unfriendly. At the end of my ultrasound session she used a towel to wipe off the gel from her tools and drops the same towel onto my chest and says you can wipe now and you may go after… she then just grabs her phone to text. The lady who did my mammogram on the other hand was extremely professional and friendly guiding me and explaining every step of what is being done and makes sure I was okay in the entire processes.

However, today I have tried called to contact a loved one in the hospital, the lady who is on the switch board tonight at 3am does not know how to talk to people. She’s extremely rude. You call the hospital because you are concerned about your loved ones and when you deal with people like this it honestly feels worse.

I was there today & can't speak highly enough about my experience. I had a lot of anxiety about the procedure I was there for. I am also from out town so getting to the hospital and finding everything brought it's own anxiety. Dr. Harikumar was assisted by nurses Anita and Rachel. I believe the department manager was Rhondora. Start to finish they were all warm, professional and very friendly. Everything was explained to me carefully & clearly. They were thoughtful & ensured I was comfortable in every way. I would recommend this hospital, this department and these warm and professional ladies to anyone curious or concerned about having their treatment there. Thank you to all involved!!

Worst hospital ever !! there was receptionist a muslim lady at triage 2 who was rude and angry to show directions.. as this was my first visit here .. the lady may have been thinking that she is working for free or else she owns the place .. she needs to realize that she is been paid by tax payers money .. people working at such places needs to be taught that first preference is accepting all kinds of patients and they are here for something that worry them and they are coming to hospital for fun . also government needs to do something and improve about health care it’s the worst as patients have to wait for ages …

I cannot say enough GREAT things about this hospital and my experience there with my son! Absolutely five stars, superb treatment, very caring staff all around the board! I felt like there was so much knowledge in one room it was blowing my mind, sounds funny but true. The way they explain things is very thorough yet easy to understand, I feel that this was the absolute BEST place we could’ve gone for his care. My son is stronger now than before he went in, what a fantastic group of people! If you’re ever lucky enough to be in their care, trust and know that you were at the best place who actually care for your children’s well-being! A pluses all around, not one person was mediocre, I felt that they were above and beyond my expectations. Although I never really wanna see hospital again for the rest of my life, I will miss this group of phenomenal people! #AbsoluteProfessionals‼️ 💯💪🏻🙌🏻🤜🏻☝🏻🎉🎯🏅🥇🏆🌟💫⭐️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💥🧨🔥🤩🤗🥳😇😊😍🥰😷=A+++‼️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Outstanding experience at Emerge tonight (Monday Dec 27). Arrived at 8:03pm to the ER, out of hospital by 10:40pm. Had foot pain, was examined, and got an x-ray along with good news. Triage, registration, Diagnostic Imaging, nurses, and the doctor were all wonderful and professional. Thank you, Centenary/SHN.

I'm happy to say that I had positive care experiences in Centenary Hospital. Great maternity ward -- big delivery and private rooms in an exclusive northwest wing of the hospital. Gave birth twice here. Had emergency C-section x1 and was discharged home with healthy baby. In and out of this hospital in the past year since diagnosis of cancer. I am amazed by the collaboration of care between departments, from lab testing, imaging (CT scan, MRI) to surgery. Dr. Kawun has been great with my surgery and continues to follow-up. Nurse Tamara is also unforgettable with PICC line insertion. Great oncology team, from front desk to chemo clinic. They direct patients to where they needed to be and how to get there (bloodworks), and what to do and how to do it (check ins). Reception even go around the counter to put the ID bracelet on your wrist for you -- small gestures that goes a long way! Nurse Anne Marie, Nurse Sabeen, Nurse Jennifer to name a few of the oncology nurses that made my day -- Dr Chiarotto is also attentive. I'm thankful to all health care professionals that has been part of my care in Centenary, especially during unprecedented times/pandemic. I would give 5 stars but there is always room for improvement, like maybe a food court.

This hospital is amazing. The ER treated and took care of my 4 year old son so well. Dr. Bala was very calm and thorough with my son. The paramedic team was fantastic, Tyson Wagner was particularly amazing as he asked me if he could pray with me as the team treated my son. His words were beautiful and made me feel so much better. Nurse Hailey on the paediatric floor was phenomenal and completely took care of my son and made him feel special and important. Nurse Noveletta spoiled my son and gave him whatever toys he wanted to keep. Dr. Shi was the best, she reassured us and made us feel better. Overall, I couldn't have asked for better service.

My recent stay at Centenary Hospital has improved my opinion. I have felt that my nurse team has been working very hard to take care of me during this troubling time. This hospital needs major investments from the Ford government and until we see that, patients will perpetually have issues.

Professional and high attention to detail for cleanliness and focus on the patient experience using technology. Safe COVID screening and dividers through the facility.

My son got circumcision at MGH but we are living in Scarborough area. Unfortunately we need Gauze, I tried to buy gauze in couple of pharmacies but they don’t have it then I went SHN Ellesmere location to provide some gauze but they don’t provide us for my son. These gauze is using for stop the blood. Paying taxes more than 47% of family income. This is the service they are providing to common people. Very much exhausted about hospitality in Scarborough area. Thanks for great service.

Very caring staff. From the paramedics, to the nurse to the Doctor. Dr Rosenberg is awesome. The nurse (Bagga) that helped with my dressing was very attentive and caring. It made the whole process alittle less painful.

Dr. Pinto was my emergency doctor at Scarborough Health Network-Centenary tonight and the entire interaction shocked me. First of all I love Scarborough and think we have a great city, with great services and staff. The nurses at SHN-Centenary, despite being overworked were so warm and open. I had such a GREAT experience with all 4 women I encountered before I was met by Dr. Pinto. Dr. Pinto called my name and upon seeing me, a fellow brown woman but in my 30s, she couldn’t even look at me. She turned her head to the opposite side of the room and without looking at me said, “you can go in there”. I had to ask her: “are you speaking to me?”. I wasn't even sure which direction she meant. She was so cold and seemed to carry some pre-judgement. I came in on a Friday evening because i was told to confirm I didn't have a mild concussion. I did not want to go in but multiple people advised me to. The interaction was short: Dr. Pinto basically asked me why i came in and scoffed that I didn’t take Advil or Tylenol. I came to the hospital because i don't know the procedure when it comes to brain health. She was condescending, explaining that when I am in pain- I should take pain meds. This was my breaking point and I couldn’t even respond to her anymore. I walked away but then started crying over the horrible interaction. I went back to speak to her about it, and she listened which I appreciated. She apologized for how I took it but I told her, it wasn't about how I took it, it was about how she was communicating. I approach everyone with an open mind and friendliness. She was critical of me on first appearances. She softened up at the end but I was so stunned by the hostility. I rarely cry or even go to the Doctor, so this I didn’t expect. It doesn’t help that my head isn’t 100%. She has potential to be a good doctor but from other reviews on doctr.ca and my own experience, she lacks a positive mindset that would help patients in their healing journey.

Recently I spent 10 days at the Scarborough General Hospital and I wanted to highlight my experience as I think we often forget the stress that comes with working in a hospital. I had surgery in February and spent 16 weeks in a cast before I transition into a medical boot just before the May long weekend. Unfortunately the progress I made was detailed and I was admitted to the emergency department as my foot was swollen and infected. I had emergency foot surgery and began my 10 day stay. I stayed with 3 other older gentleman and each of them had their unique situation. The first was a Sri Lankan gentleman who spoke no English and unfortunately there were no Tamil speaking nurses to assist and so, the nurses would use Google translate whenever they needed to speak to him or vice versa. The second was an older German fellow who suffered from a stroke and the nurses were very gentle with him, turning him every so often and gently speaking to him advising each step. Lastly, there was an older Filipino gentleman who was quite rude as he always demanded a cup of hot water and a cup of ice, and would yell at the nurses however they were always calm and still manage to keep their calm. These three gentlemen were bed ridden and the nurses would always tend to their requests when then needed to go to the water room. As for myself, the nurses were great and treated me well. They made my painful experience, pleasant and I cannot thank them enough for taking care of me. I'd like to recognize...Gigi, Nisha, Janet, Dennis, Kathy and especially Danielle who helped me through a mentally challenging time. Danielle was my evening nurse for majority of my time there and she really was sweet to everyone. Often we forget that nurses are burnt out as they are short staffed and over worked and I think it's important to recognize their efforts. At no point was anyone rude or disrespectful...they tested each patient with love and respect, as if it were one of their loved ones! I hope they get recognition because nurses in general deserve it...especially the nurses on the 3rd floor at SGH! Thank you all for making my difficult time, better and pleasant! You are all amazing!

I had an ACL reconstruction surgery done by Dr. Franklin Tran from ( Athlete's Care Sports Medicine Centres ) Starting from checking in to discharge nurse everyone provided outstanding care !! Specially want to thank Nurses Allison and Ann Marie for such great care and support during the stay and before and after surgery. Dr. Rob the anesthesiologist was also very informative and did an excellent job with making me feel comfortable before and during surgery. I will highly recommend to use these Doctors and Their team for anyone else considering for similar surgery !!!

My neatest hospital. I have always had good experiences with this hospital. Most staff are friendly and accommodating. My mom recently had knee replacement and the physiotherapists are excellent. The only negative thing to say is the hospital is dated and I'm looking forward to seeing the upcoming renovations.

From the moment I first came in to the transfer to St.Mikes for my surgery, the staff was incredible. Cath Lab and 4th floor have amazing dedicated people. Considering the couple of years they have been through, I admire them for the way they kept doing their job with a smile behind the masks. Thank you from a grateful patient!

I had a script from my Dr there, and brought it down to the Shoppers Drugmart. The rude, ignorant, miserable pharmacist(the middle eastern man), is the worst Pharmacist i have ever had the displeasure of trying to deal with, in all of my 56 years. He shouldn't be allowed to walk people's pets, let alone deal with customer service. I am writing to corporate headquarters to file a formal complaint, then a formal complaint to the College of Pharmacists. 0/10 across the board!

Went into emerg with broken ankle last weekend. There were 2 guys that check your covid status and gives you a mask before u check in at triage. The guy that greeted us, his name is Peter, is A GEM! He was pleasant, helpful, and full of positve energy. When he wasnt busy, he organized the wheelchairs at the entrance, and straightening out the waiting area. This guy should be handed the position that trains future employees! Did I mention the other guy?...ya he was busy on his phone...didnt look up once! Hence 4 stars and not 5😉

Had to go to the er more than once in the last month or so. Both times I was greeted with nothing but kindness. The nurses and doctors were very kind and took fantastic care of everyone. They were working themselves to the bone (which was sad to see) but still provided those in their care with quality care. Since being at the hospital, there have been three different occasions where one of the specialists and er doctors called me to check in on how I was feeling. They were patient, kind and eased my fears. Thank you for all that you do!

Parking is so expensive. People who come to hospital need to get a break. This is highway robbery. It's time for all levels of governments to give back to the people of this nation. Look after your own people first and then the whole world and the milkyway...

Arrived at 6am for angiogram, registered then was taken in almost immediately, had my procedure then dr explained everything, was wheeled to recovery where I was introduced to "Ruth". This is the kind of person that refilled my empty water while sleeping. Her attitude was that of a mother and very funny. I can only wish that this finds Ruth's boss and they send her and her family on a trip paid. All those employees should have wage hikes.

Came here on New Year's Eve (right at midnight) due to a suicide attempt. Doctors were somewhat cooperative and fine. I had a psychiatrist assess me when I was in the acute room, and he was yelling at me for not seeking help when I only started getting help recently. The nurses were decent. Most of them were nice to me. One nurse did stand out because she came into my room the most, had small chats with me, and expressed concerns for my well-being when I was moved to another room. On New Year's Day, around 11 am, I was moved to the examination rooms. I never want to wish anyone to be in there. They keep you there like a lab rat, locking you in a small, dirty room with one bed and one chair. My room has pee stains, writing on the door, and a nasty-looking floor. The bedsheets on the bed were also dirty and stained. The blanket they gave me was thin and smell. The AC blew on me, and it was hard to lay on the bed with such a thin blanket. They won't let you out unless you bang on the doors and ask them if you could go anywhere. I asked to go to the bathroom, and they locked me back afterwards. They unlocked the door when my family visited me in the afternoon. Overall, I definitely will not be going back to that room. In the evening, I was moved to a room on the seventh floor since I had to stay overnight. I loved that room the most. All the nurses and staff were safe to be around. The room was way better than the acute room and examination room. It was clean, had nice bedsheets and good blankets, and I could adjust the bed to my liking. It even had a window with a beautiful view of the city. The staff allowed my mom to stay overnight with me, which was very comforting. Overall, my stay was mostly alright. The biggest problem would be the cleanliness of the hospital. There was a lot of trash in the ER lobby, and the rooms were not properly cleaned, too. The gowns also had stains on them, which was disgusting. If I had to come back here again, I honestly wouldn't unless it's the seventh floor. It's for sick patients who are kids, which makes sense why the staff were nicer. Decent hospital, with okay staff, but bad cleanliness. But, I am grateful they kept me safe.

😠 Not a good experience. Everything takes forever in emergency room. Even they don't have any estimate for a regular item like x-Ray.
