I went in with my extremely sick 9 year old daughter who could barely hold her self up. During check up she threw up all over the floor (it was just water). Doc was nice about it and went to get someone to mop it up. Receptionist/Nurse - whatever her role is - handed me a bunch of napkins and told me to clean up myself. As she walked past I even heard her comment out loud "Oh my God this is too much!" and goes on to discuss with the other staff in her language about how my daughter is too big. Fortunately I understand the language and picked up. Since when is someone "too old" to throw up? Someone throwing up at the doctor's office is TOO MUCH? Me being thoughtful, figured that I'd clean my own daughters mess up and wiped the floor with the napkins. It wasn't until I got home and spoke to my doctor friends about this, they told me it's not even my job to clean that up. They should've taken care of it. The front staff are just a bunch of lazy ladies who are extremely rude!!! I only go there for Dr. MacDiarmid- he's super nice and great with kids

The nurse Victoria was kind, smart and spot on with any questions. Dr Mohan was okay although I think he over-did it with my boosters. I researched and went back and didn't get all the boosters he recommended. The receptionists weren't great, but I rarely go to a medical office of any sort where the receptionist aren't rude, quick and don't care at all about you.

It's disappointing to read so many negative reviews about this clinic, particularly if directed at Dr. Mohan. I have been going to this clinic since 1987... so 30 years. Dr. Mohan has been my family doctor that entire time and I can honestly say that I have not experienced any of these negative accusations of him being rude or condescending. As a matter of fact I find him to be light hearted, caring and very professional. He has always been able to accurately and quickly diagnose and treat me for many different things over these many years. There have been many different faces working at front reception, so I cannot say much about anyone in particular. I understand that some have not been very friendly over the years, but not rude. My last few experiences with front desk staff have been positive. I just think that it's too bad that such a good doctor, in my opinion, is getting such a bad rep on google reviews, from people that have seen him once. As a long time patient I felt the need to share my perspective.

I have been a patient at this place for about 12 years . I will admit that I am nervous when it comes to seeing doctors, hospitals and etc. Dr Macdermaid is great, I can’t say enough good things about him. He treats me with respect, is very informative, and he listens when I speak to him. I want to say thank you very much for being such a great doctor, and helping me whenever I need it. I would highly recommend him, especially if you have Dr anxiety-he’s great!

AVOID Dr Mohan. lazy, liar, condescending. Was my family doctor for a number of years, didn't run the tests he was supposed to. It was only when I switched that I learned what a good doctor really is.

Dr.mohan made fun of my daughter when she was in pain. He Wasn't diligent, compassionate or professional. She was later diagnosed with herniated disc where as he just dismissed her.

My husband and I are travelling to Africa and needed a travel doctor to advise / administer vaccines and medications. Islington Medical Centre is in our area and we booked appointments there despite some very nasty reviews. The front office staff staff was efficient and very cordial. Our paperwork was processed in a very expedient manner. We met with a very patient and friendly Dr. Mohan whose knowledge of the areas that we would be travelling and our medical needs was very comforting. He explained required vs recommended vaccines/medications and the costs . At no point did we feel obligated to purchase unneeded vaccines or medications. We are seasoned travellers and this is the best experience that we have had with a travel doctor. He even has a gentle touch with the needles!

Was the only clinic nearby with yellow fever vaccine available ahead of my trip and I was pressed for time. Receptionist was friendly and set me up with an appointment the same day (on a weekend). I was informed I could not get the yellow fever vaccine until I met with a nurse (for which they charged me >62$ and such fees are not covered by my private health insurance). Nurse was pushy and urged me to get several other vaccines, with several pamphlets warning me of the dangers of Dengue fever, malaria, typhoid fever, meningitis, etc. that plague cities in Brazil. Nurse also advised me to return for a second dose of Hep A in a week, but when I went to a hospital clinic I was informed this was not the dosing advised by Health Canada regulations. Prices for vaccines are significantly above the "acceptable" prices and were not covered by my private health insurer.

Terrible customer service. Went in today to see if I can see a doctor. The receptionist was on the phone, stopped briefly to respond to me with very little interest or care, and then went on talking. Didn't even answer my questions fully. I felt pretty ignored and just as if they don't really care about you. Definitely do not recommend this place, go elsewhere if you can!!!

Walked in at 8:40am was the first patient there - hoping to be seen at 9am like google says they’re open for - waited until 9:40 to see the doctor. She showed up at 9:30 and the proceeds to make coffee and talk with co-workers before getting to work. They wouldn’t even seat me in a waiting room like every other office does - I had to wait for the doctor to call the front to say she’d take patients first. Walked in with all the symptoms of a cold - ears hurt, headache, fever and chills, bad cough, coughing up guck, although no runny nose. She didn’t wear gloves when she touched me - she didn’t even use a tongue depressor to actually check my throat, just a light and barely glanced. Didn’t take my temperature. Didn’t check my ears. Without a thorough check - Dr. S. Ghandi tried to convince me all of that was allergies. Recommended home remedies. What a waste of my time. They do have a man doctor that works Monday - Wednesday who is their only saving grace - everyone else including the receptionists are beyond incompetent.

FIND ANOTHER CLINIC. I came here with my fiance to get travel shots for Asia and waited over an hour even with an appointment (that we had made months in advance). The doctor that saw us (a male doctor) was rude and pushy. After receiving our shots we were told to wait in the waiting area just in case we had any side effects. I began to feel dizzy and faint. All of the reception staff had left to go home and my fiance had to go find another doctor to come and check on me. The doctor that administered our shots was no where to be found.

I don’t typically leave reviews but needed to call out the incredible service that my gf received at this clinic. We were travelling to South America and need to quickly update her shots. The Islington clinic was the closest location to us however we hesitated due to the negative feedback on Google. We ended up biting the bullet since my gf could not get a timely appointment elsewhere. Although the clinic can use some cosmetic touch ups, the staff make up for it two fold. The receptionist quickly got us into our appointment for the consult. We were greeted by Lara who sat us down to go through our options. I was blown away by how knowledgeable and thorough she was. She seemed genuinely interested in where we were going and spent 30 minutes helping us understand all the risks and shots that were needed. Although I didn’t personally go in for shots, I learned that certain immunizations have life cycles and need to be renewed at predefined intervals. After the consult, Lara painlessly administered the shot that my gf needed and we were sent on our way. 5 stars!

Was told they take walkins as long as I am there before 7 pm. I arrived at 630 and they told me they weren't taking any more patients.

This is the worst place I’ve ever dealt with. Do not do use their online appointment booking because they will confirm an appointment with you and you will login and you will never hear from anyone. You will sit there for hours with a message saying “I will be with you shortly”. I called and questioned my online appointment and was told we don’t do online appointments. Then I was told they only do walk-ins. I could not make an appointment and they opened at 10 o’clock the next morning. They said it should not be busy on Wednesday morning . I walked in they said we don’t do walk-ins you need to have a doctor here too be seen. What a waste of time don’t waste your time or energy on thus place!!!!!

This clinic is all about pushing vaccines, and charges for everything. Even a replacement of the vaccine card is 20 cad, although they sucked almost 500 cad from me on vaccine. The only reason I ended up here was last moment vaccination before travelling to India for my kid, I would not recommend this place to anyone unless it is your last resort or best bet.

Rudest nurses I have ever encountered, and I work in a hospital. Tried to get simple things done, but was turned away for no reason. Felt extremely victimized by the women working at the front desk who virtually told me to leave. I suggest to others to try going to a residential Walmart walk-in clinic, they took me no problem and made me feel much better in terms of hospitality.

Very nice Nurse. I was going to India and went to this clinic to learn what shots I needed. She explained to me in detail, what shots I needed and why. Very detailed Vaccine information and advise was given to me in writing also. My experience at this clinic was very pleasant. I even got to send my form ahead of time. They had all my shots in stock and gave me a detailed receipt, for me to claim my money back from the Insurance.

😠 I don’t understand where the good reviews are coming from. The staff overbooks and don’t respect the order of the actual booking. I had an appointment for 5, and ended up being called for the examination at around 7:30. The staff was calling people who arrived late first, and did not respect my orig...

😠 One of the worst, degrading experiences of my life. Back in Jan 2020 (so prior to the pandemic), I had a severe allergic reaction to hair dye. 🫤 I have been a patient at this clinic for years. I absolutely love my doctor and that’s the only reason why I don’t move elsewhere. This clinic functions SO poorly.
