Best experience 🩵🩵! To reach island you need to take ferry from harbour front which will cost u 12.50$ cash or 14$ with tax! They offer other option as well which is one hour round trip!! We took first option in which we went to the island and returned in public ⛴️ ferry! While going on island the city-line looks amazing! There are plenty of parks and 🧺 picnic spots are availabile ! Public ferry comes at every40 minutes!

Great place to go away from city’s hustle bustle. Best time is going early as there’s less rush. Ferries start as early as 8 am and comes & goes every half an hour. Booking online saves time. A lot of picnic area, you can bring picnic baskets along. You can bring bikes in the ferry or rent ones on the island. Strollers a must for the kids. A lot of splash pads for kids. Amusement park and little farm is a must visit with little ones. Beach area is quite good in the hot summer day. You can also buy food there, from subway, pizza pizza etc, but it’s on the expensive side. Day well spent with family and friends.

Awesome spot for a picnic or just a nice long walk. I loved the ferry ride and how convenient it was to see the schedule and buy tickets online (you can also buy tickets at the ferry station). There are other services for Tourists, be sure to check online first.

Love it! There is a real island right in the city! Lots of fun exploring the island, first visit Summer 2020. Can't wait to get out there every summer onwards!

Great place to chill with a group of friends and/or family especially during Summer. The ferry experience is super nice with the beautiful Toronto skyline views. There are quite a few restaurants & ice cream trucks to eat at the Island. They also have picnic tables near the water front where you can have a picnic along the Skyline View. You can rent a bike and explore around all 3 islands. Definitely recommend to spend a day around here in the Summer.

Toronto Island Park is a nice park in Toronto Islands. It is accessible by a ferry from Toronto. Water taxis are also available. The best way to explore the park and the entire island is by a bike. One could carry their own bike in the ferry or rent one from the island. There are no cars in the island. It's nice to see beautiful houses at the island. The Toronto Island Park has fast-food joints like Pizza Pizza, Subway, and some restaurants. Overall, it's nice, but not extra special.

Great park for the Toronto views and a little day of afternoon getaway. With the beaches, boardwalk, parks and pier it makes a lovely location. For tourists and locals. Easy to reach with a boat departing back and forth every 15-20 minutes. Took me about 2-3 hours to explore and enjoy.

I had a lovely time at Center Island! Beautiful walking trails, plenty of cozy spaces. Perfect for a picnic, small family parties, time alone on the beach/ water front, hiking, and cycling. Don't miss the William Meany Maze and the beautiful kid friendly gardens. The bike rental place on the Island closes by 5pm so bring your own bike or rent from harborfront before getting on the ferry if you plan to go later in the day. Not too many options for food so bring yours if possible. Long wait lines for ferry but you can choose to take a water taxi which costs more. I'm definitely going back again!

Amazing place away from city’s hustle bustle. Great picnic spot! Toronto skyline view from ferry ride is a breath taking experience. Best time to return is close to sunset during summers. This will allow to have best skyline view compared to none! Lots to do at the island. If full day is too much for you, you might want to go by 4 pm to 9:30 pm. Both the time the ferry ride gives lovely view. I will return here again :)

Sakura would be blossoming for the next few weeks so it’s a good time to visit central island now. Pretty nice place for a half-day trip ~ lots of mosquitoes at this time tho so be careful! Also it would be windy and a bit colder than in the city so be sure to bring a jacket at this time.

Green everywhere, magnificent arrangements in the gardens, the colors of the flowers very well chosen, the canals being navigated by canoes, Kayaks and a surfboard! a boy fishing, ladies with their little spoiled pets, families walking... a beautiful setting to feel happy, calm, relaxed.

Make sure you take the Tiki Taxi over! Certainly a great place to escape the concrete jungle. Park is beautiful to relax in. Take a blanket and a picnic basket. Sit back and people watch. Amazing views of the city.

Great place to spend a day away from the city. The Island is really beautiful and an amazing place to visit on any day. We went on a weekend and it was really busy and crowded. Parking is difficult to find and usually costs $30 - $50 depending on where you find a spot. You can buy return ferry tickets online but the terminals are really crowded specially for the center Island ferry. You would want to go early to get ahead of the crowd. Once on the Island, there are plenty of activities to do for the whole family. The quadbike experience is great to explore and get around the island with family. The beach is very beautiful and clean, kids can enjoy playing at the beach. The island offers the best view of the Toronto city skyline. Overall it is an awesome place, a must see place for tourists and a great spot for locals to have a fun filled family day out!

Special treat going on the ferry to these series of islands near Toronto. It has Great beaches, with real sand. A nice long boardwalk that one can get great exercise or ride a bike. You can rent bikes or quadcycles . It has a amusement park for the kids. Really really happy to find this special treat .

Beautiful place. You will get an amazing view of the Toronto skyline. It's mostly crowded on weekends. Expect long queues on weekends to and from the island. Better to book the ticket online in advance for the ferry.

Plenty to do and see.Loads of places to eat.Amusement park and animals for kids.Besutiful marinas and rustic homes.Picnic areas and cycles, canoes and kayaks for hire.A tour train is also available.Lifeguards on the beaches. These islands are so well kept and transport over very organised.9.11 Canadian dollars return.Great value so be prepared for very busy boats especially on holidays.Good for all ages Loved every visit.

A favorite place for Canadians is Island Park. You can get from the Toronto waterfront to the park by water cab. But it is cheaper and more interesting to use Ferry (water public transportation, ferry), which runs on a schedule. Tickets from the Jack Layton Ferry terminal cost 18.22 cad for two people. The ferry ride from the islands to Toronto is free. The island has cute little houses, red maple trees, and a variety of birds. Bicycles are available. There is a small zoo and children's rides. We walked, in silence and complete peace we reached Central Island, from where we returned by ferry. Island Park is a great place for a family vacation. Bring your own food and enjoy a picnic all day long. There is plenty of entertainment for children. It is impossible to be disappointed and you will definitely want to come again! Highly recommended

It is possible to walk the full length of the Islands, however, a bicycle is highly recommended for getting around more quickly. This enables one to explore the 3 main islands: Ward Island with its quaint and picturesque residences, Centre Island which is the entertainment hub and Hanlon Island, known for being natural. One can also bike across the connecting bridges to some of the smaller islands. There is something for everyone - stunning iconic views of the Toronto skyline, beaches, Centreville Amusement Park, boating, picnic areas, historic lighthouse, to name a few. Also cafes and restaurants, toilets and bike rental. We rented our bikes on the mainland and took them across on the ferry. This allowed us to explore further once we returned to the mainland, before handing our bikes back.

Hi folks, I visited this place today after 15 years of gap and had lots of fun. This is a very good spot to enjoy summer days. You can take your cycle or rent a cycle from the island itself. It's not expensive. So we did 1 hour of cycling and then we took some break. I went for boating and it was so much fun. Only thing is that on weekends it's more rush so one would have to wait. The place also have pizza pizza and subway and the whole island is very clean.

Very scenic indeed. The weather was quite nice when I went, so there were some nice views. Would recommend. I would say that the cleanliness of facilities are about 5/10. But of course, you can’t expect too much from a location with such a large volume of foot traffic. So all things considered, yes, I do approve of this location.

We really enjoyed our visit! Plenty of fun things to do on the island, and coincidentally, we were there during the Dragon Boat Festival, and had some lovely Chinese street food. We brought our dogs too, and they also had a wonderful time on the ferry! :)

Overall, I love this place Love to see sunset at night time 🌇 Park was huge and you can rent the bike to tour the Island. So I recommended to rent the bike :) There are few restaurants near the entrance, and few more if you go inside the island. Good for picnic place, would be nice if you pack the food ! 100% go back there every summer !

A nice island for a half day tour. Wide and open green spaces for picnic, bike route, landscape view of Toronto and downtown are pros. It looks like holidays and weekend are very crowded. I did not like its ferry transportation because of lack of coordination and passenger control.

Came to the island for the first time ever and it was a fun and good time. We came to see some of the dragon boat festival and walked around the island. It was very relaxing taking the ferry over and exploring the island. It is a great place for a picnic with a few vendors and a mini theme park for if you have kids. There is also a beach front and a place to rent bicycles. Great place for some family time or even a date to go bike riding around the island! Got some pictures of the CN tower aswell, some great photography and walking

Gorgeous! It was so quiet. We could hear the wild life! We had fresh air blowing in from the lake. The younger tree's are just starting and some are in full colour change. Still has blooming flowers all over. The far away farm animals were so lovely. The donkey is expecting! So many calico animals! Miniature goat, lion head bunnies, Guinea pigs. Assorted peacocks, the chick is 8 weeks old, Awww...Amazing day💕🌞🦋🐝🍃🍂🌊 🐾🐿🐗🐑🐦🐔🦆🐢🦅🌳

Just beware, there's a lot of walking here. No shuttle rides to and from your ferry. The bike rentals have only 1 drop off point and they are located no where near the ferries/water-taxis. Parks pretty much dead during covid. Roller coaster ride is closed. Train is closed. Ghost town here as of today. Maybe if you're going, bring a bike with you. Otherwise there's a ton of walking. The walk from bike rental to ward Island is a good half hour long, and along the way there were no benches to sit and rest. That's ridiculous.

Beautiful island about 30 minutes from Toronto. You can either take the big boat or the water taxis. From what someone told me the big boat is free or a few dollars. I took a water taxi and arrived in about 15 minutes but it cost $15 per person. Once on the island there is so much things to do. You can walk or bike the whole place. There are small towers to see, beaches, and playgrounds for kids. I biked around the island and took pictures of the Toronto skyline (which come out great). Highly recommend visiting this island on a sunny day.

A beautiful place to visit with you friends and family this summer. It’s very easy and quick to reach the main island through ferry. There is greenery all around with tones of food options and amusement park. Don’t forget to check out the skyline point. Some things to keep in mind before visiting : 1. Book your tickets online and carry cash, it’s comparatively cheaper. 2. Stay hydrated- carry water bottle. 3. Bring summer essentials like sunscreen, sunglasses and cap. 4. Wear comfortable clothing and pack extra pair of clothes if you wish to go into the water.

This is one of the best parks in town for a quick getaway trip. Easily accessible from the heart of downtown Toronto, It has a great view of the skyline, areas where you can watch the sunset, loads of picnic area, multilple beaches, bike rentals, and much more to do! It does get very crowded in summers. The view does not get old, though!

It's an island worth visiting. You need to spend at least 3 hours at this island. The breathtaking view of the ocean and the cool breeze refreshes your soul. If you are into cycling then you can rent one on hourly basis explore the island. Must have on the itinerary.

Beautiful place, well maintained. Enjoy going there in summer. Priceless view of Toronto skyline while returning as it gets darker in the evening. Only pain point is parking the car before boarding the ship, the scarcity and the price to be specific.

Take a ferry to the center island and enjoy Toronto's skyline. Reaching the island, you can take a gondola ride for cheap. There is a farm with a lot of animals and birds. Great for kids. After that, you make your way through a beautiful park with fountains and flowers , ending up on the beaches. Peaceful and quiet

Loved seeing the skyline of Toronto from the islands. I would highly recommend planning a stop to the islands on a trip to Toronto; there is quite a bit to explore (5 km). If you go in the winter, the icy water is beautiful, but make sure to bundle up and wear good walking shoes. The price for the ferry over is $8.50 CAD, and there's a ferry about every hour.

This is such a beautiful place! Despite living in the GTA for over 10 years, I knew very little about Toronto Island and all the wonderful things here. The greenspaces are perfect, the beach is clean, there are so many things to do and see. It’s a great way to spend the day!

My family loves going to the Island at least once a year. So much to see and do that you can spend a full day there and not do everything. Beautiful gardens, well kept and clean, lots of trash cans and recycling bins, washrooms are tidy, playground and splash pad for kids, a little "farm" and amusement park, I could go on and on. Love the Island!

Toronto Island Park is an urban oasis that captivates with its natural beauty and recreational opportunities. The ferry ride offers stunning city skyline views, setting the tone for a memorable visit. The park's vast green spaces, beaches, and walking trails make it perfect for picnics, leisurely strolls, or bike rides. Centreville Amusement Park adds extra fun for families. Whether enjoying skyline sunsets or kayaking along the shore, Toronto Island Park provides a refreshing escape from the bustling city life. A must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike!

There is a big lineup for the ferry on the weekends and holidays though the line moves pretty fast. The washrooms are clean. Long lines in the food stall might take a lot of your precious time. The last ferry is at 11 pm. The sunset is magical from the island and the view of Toronto skyline is spectacular.

  • 4/5 Ed M. 1 year ago on Google
Nice little get away from the city. Just a 20 minute ferry ride but you really do feel separated from the busy and concrete heavy downtown. Centreville is fun for little kids and the island is great for just walking around.

Really beautiful place. A blessing of God for all Torontonias 🙏🌅 I wish they have the ferry running more often at least on peak hours because the lineup 😕 is very long, you have to wait a long time in the very hot weather . All the people couldn't get on one ferry and have to wait for the next one after 30 - 40 min. Hope they fix this Recommended to all family and friends

You possibly need more than 1 day to visit all places on this island. There are 3 points of ferries you can arrive and depart. My favorite is the Ward's island. This part of the island is full of cottages and little yards. Very beautiful to roam around. Most people prefer the central desinbarque where you can find park attractions to children, pier and beach but Ward's Island is quiet and cute. Center island park has a long wooden broad walk alongside water which is picturesque.

Great place to hangout with family and friends.. best picnic spot nearby Toronto.. only thing is crowd management for ferry should be increased especially for long weekends in summer when most of the people prefer visiting this place..

  • 5/5 Janessa C. 9 months ago on Google
We went to Ward's Island and explored. Beautiful paths with historic picturesque homes and art boxes, gorgeous flowers, beautiful views of the water, beautiful public beach and a bunch of little hidden beachy spots... I was able to do all of it (the parts that weren't sand) in my mobility scooter. Exception: the cool concrete walk along the eastern side of the island was a fun adventure, but the broken concrete & 2" drops & very rocky patches are not very wheel-friendly.
