What a cute spot ! They have the most amazing espresso machine and the eggs are cooked to perfection ! The espresso has a bold flavour but the barista makes sure it’s not bitter, served with a side of sparking water. Most meals come with a Mexican touch ; pico, beans, etc. Staff is super friendly and service is pristine.

Amazing South American style restaurant. They empanadas were excellent and their house made hot sauce was great. My girlfriend and I felt like we were back in Belize the food felt very authentic. Great price and location down on queen street. We will be back.

Tried the traditional mate in the gourd and mate latte, it was a very special caffeine-rich drink! Enjoyed the tea, cake, and the sunlight thorough window!

Nice Cozy place in Queen St West with a South American vibe for a coffee, brunch or if you want to try original Mate or authentic empanadas. I tried mate and beef empanada which both were really good. Very reasonably priced.

Met an old friend for breakfast and ended up staying past lunch! Absolutely love the ambience in El Almacen♡. This is a great place to have awesome coffee/ mate latte , amazing breakfast, and the best empanadas in Toronto. I used to grab them Kensington market or the Weston flea market. From now on I will only buy Empanadas from El Almacen 100% #ThebestEmpanadas #YerbaMate :D

Time to kick back and relax. This place has some great coffee and sweet treats. The atmosphere is very quaint and historical. With the classic machine and old wood floors this place feels like you are walking into the 1950's. I loved every minute and I felt so relaxed. Will be back for more.

8/19: Came back for brunch, and it was delicious and comforting. Great neighbourhood spot for an unusual brunch. *** Rustic neighbourhood joint that serves authentic Argentinian fare. We came for an afternoon and had the coffee, mate and an empanada and were thoroughly pleased by how flavourful everything was. Would definitely come back for a proper meal.

Great little place in Parkdale that serves fantastic empanadas - I suggest the corn. Interesting art hanging on the walls (available to buy as well) and if you’re looking for Yerba mate to take home, they have a wall of it. Nice ambient music. Service was also excellent.

A little gem hidden on Queen St. The coffee is great, double espresso cappuccinos are the best I have tasted. Argentinean food is very authentic. Empanadas are hard to find, well...I've found them. Cookie style alfajores are a satisfying addition to the coffee. Can get busy depending on the time of day but definitely worth the wait. The only negative experience I've had is that sometimes they run out of empanadas because they are in demand.

👍👍 Visited here a few years ago. And recently back to have breakfast again! It is a lovely space filled with nostalgia of old-school deli and restaurants. They have a large indoor dining room, and outdoor patio. Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, they are situated on the very busy University Ave...
