The portions were quite small when I ordered delivery. I wanted to have a big pig out feast before I start back on my diet tomorrow so I ordered a pizza and a gnocchi hoping to put myself into a food coma. The gnocchi was an extremely small portion, I actually laughed when I saw it 9 pieces of gnocchi granted they were a little larger than the normal size. It tasted pretty good a touch dense maybe, the pizza had tasty toppings, I wasn't a huge fan of the crust but to each their own. Long story short I ordered a pizza and pasta, ate it myself and was actually still hungry afterwards. The quality was above average but the portions were way too small for my liking.

It may not be busy (yet!) but this gem of a restaurant is well worth visiting! The menu is a touch small, but they clearly prize quality over quantity. Had a plate of cheese, bread, salami, prosciutto, and olives to start. Ridiculously good and as someone who hates olives I was surprised to find I didn't mind these ones. I would've taken a picture but it was so delicious that our table finished before I got a chance! For my main I had chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce on top of rice. The chicken was so tender I could've eaten that alone and been happy. Plus, if you love mushrooms then this sauce will send you to mushroom heaven. Mix it with the rice, add a bit of chicken and enjoy. Definitely worth trying this meal at least once! The staff were excellent; they talked and joked with us every time they came to the table. The front window was open letting in a nice breeze and it was a quiet place other than a little chatter from a couple other patrons and the music playing - perfect to have a chat without being drowned out by noise.

Absolutely love Salto!!!! What a great authentic Italian family restaurant! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. We had the pizza special and the spaghetti with meatballs....Everything was excellent and fairly priced! We will definitely be back for more.

Classic Italian food - though fresh table bread was so different, it was fried?! Came here before a warehouse party so not sure I’d go out of my way to end up here but seems like a solid local spot for Italian food if you live close :)

Amazing. The pizzetta and bread at the beginning is the best bread I have ever had. The tiramisu is also delicious!

Best place to come, have some delicious food or just a drink, watch a game, or enjoy some comedy nights or have your birthday or wedding party. Service is top-notch, and the food is amazing!! Sal and Chris are just phenomenal restaurant owners.

I already loved Salto, so I hosted my Halloween engagement party there on Saturday. They didn’t charge a booking fee, or even ask for a minimum amount spent. The food was awesome, and as always the service was amazing. They thanked us at the end, and they said they’d be happy to host us any time. With comedy on Wednesdays, occasional music, and a chill and fun atmosphere, it’s one of the best spots in the neighb IMHO.

We liked the place. Fresh bread was amazing. I gave 4 stars because pasta and wings were disappointing. I was thinking to give 3 stars. Even though it is a bar, they have only 2 tap beer. There was only one worker for everything so service was little slow. We went on Monday so the reason of one worker could be it. We got %20 off card for our next visit. That was a nice gesture.

Charming place with very friendly and attentive staff. Delicious house made bread. We had the Caesar salad, pizza and house made gnocchi. Everything was fantastic but the pizza was my favourite. Would definitely come back. If you don’t mind a bit of street noise, sit in the window seats and enjoy the breeze rolling in on a hot summer night.

My experience at Salto was nothing less than immaculate. I hosted my 33rd birthday party there and my guests and I could not have had a better time. Chris, his dad, and the whole Salto family did everything they could to ensure we had what we needed from moving around tables to create room to dance to having our favorite drinks available on my special day. On top of that they definitely make some of the best pizza and pasta in Toronto. You can tell they love what they do because it comes out in their food and service. Whether you're looking to host an event or a place to have a nice family dinner Salto is 100% worth checking out, you will not be disappointed!

This restaurant offers really good Italian food without the big price tag. We showed up on a Thursday evening and it was pretty quiet; just a few diners and a couple tvs playing live sports. I noticed a sign out front promoting evenings that feature a live DJ and I'd like to see how alive this restaurant becomes. The server was kind and made good recommendations. He was quite chatty so at times we were waiting on him longer that normal. The food was delicious. Antipasto was my favourite - the selections of cheeses, meats, and roasted veggies really hit the spot. I'd definitely come back again. The price is right!

Lovely family owned spot with quality food! Calzones are my fave with a little side of his Ceasar salad dressing for dipping. If you're nearby you'll become a regular! Say hi to Sal for me ;)

The second you walk in here, you feel like your part of the family. Service is always great, food is delicious and very fresh, you can tell they put their heart and soul into everything, and for the price you can't go wrong. They also have different events happening every week so make sure you check em out, I honestly highly recommend it! 👌

Simply the best fresh home-made Italian food I have ever had. I was hooked when I first had the most original personal pizza I ever ate. Now, the meatball sandwich and the spaghetti and meatballs is my favorite. Family owned and run by some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet.

This was a fun place with good food and nice staff! Lots of room for our family to space out, and very good pizza and some of the best gnocchi I've had in a while. The bar is decently stocked, but they don't have everything, just enough to make most common drinks. But the drinks they do make are very solid, with no complaints from me! Parking was the only rough spot as one would expect, but parking in the neighborhood behind was too bad of an issue for us (not sure how much the residents love it). Would gladly come here again.

Me and my wife pass this cute little Italian family restaurant Salto on our daily evening walks. The place always looked inviting and I frequently said to my wife we should have a meal here sometime. Yesterday was that day, we impromptu decided to have our dinner here at Salto. We ordered Chicken scallopini (Chicken breast in a white sauce with mushrooms and penne pasta) and pasta of the day Penne pasta in vodka sauce. And we were not disappointed! Salto knows what they are doing and you can tell that they know how to make their customers happy. Salto is ideal for a romantic night out or for beers out with friends.

Came here for my friend's birthday meetup and it was a blast. The service by Mike and his dad was impeccable (friendly, attentive, kind). Also it's a real Italian gem that should be looked into. Agnolotti & Birthday Gyal

Salto is one of the best Italian places I’ve ever been to. The homemade bread is super fresh and always delicious! The agnolotti is my go to, perfect portion size and super tasty. My family has really enjoyed whatever they choose whether it be the sandwiches, pizza or pasta. The cocktails/drinks here are always a nice addition to a great meal too. The gentlemen that own this place are always super friendly & really care about the experience of those dining. Highly recommend and suggest you support this family business too!
