First time at the Lobster Burger Bar and it won't be the last! The food was delicious. Good portion size to leave you satisfied. We had the popcorn chicken to start, followed by the crispy shrimp and lobster roll and the lobster burger. To finish off the meal, we ended off with a decadent peanut butter cheesecake 😋 Very friendly and attentive staff. They even have a robot server! 🤖

First time here, and we loved the food. The service was spectacular. Our server name is Maj, and he is fantastic. Took care of us and answered all of our question, always checking in on us. All the safe was friendly. The restaurant was clean. Thank you Lobster burger Bar for being so great. We will definitely come back here.

Came here for my girlfriend's birthday as she loves lobster. No surprise, most of the menu contains lobster. We ordered the combo 1 which came with a whole lobster, lobster bisque, lobster roll and a salad. We chose to have the lobster steamed but it can also be grilled. We ordered a lobster chowder as an appetizer, which I loved the biscuit croutons in it. We also had the lobster burger, which was alright. The sauce made it taste very similar to a Big Mac. Fries were dusted with seasoning, but I would have prefered them just plain salted. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate lava cake, but there was no melted chocolate when we cut it open. It was just a chocolate cake but was still good. Service was excellent and the ambience was nice and chill, you can dress it up or go casual.

Excellent experience all round. We managed to book a table for 8 on short notice on a Saturday night. The ambiance was perfect - no loud music so it was easy to talk, comfortable seating, and nice decor. The service was perfect from start to finish. Our server Amanda was so friendly. She even asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and brought out a cake and sang happy birthday for my nephew. At one point the General Manager JJ came out. He was very interested in our experience, and spent time to talk to each of us. He even remembered all of our names. The food was delicious. Many options to choose from. Everyone had a great time - we highly recommend and will be back!

Nice casual dining with great food. A bit of a bar vibe but you can chat over the music. Maj was our server. Top notch. Glad to be back. Shrimp taco in pic.

Visited evening of Friday Feb 2, 2024; my 2nd visit to Lobster Burger Bar for a 4 person family get together with reservations for the Winterlicious 2024 menu (1st visit for rest of the group). Hannah our server was amazing, super friendly and on all the ball with all our requests. Positive lovely attitude and one that you want to have as your regular wait staff. The winterlicious menu was delicious with 1lb of steamed lobster and fries, croquettes and lobster bisque, and dessert. Everything was super delicious. Daniel the assistant manager came to check in on us and made the evening super special overall - super positive and proud of the establishment overall and it shows. He took time to remember all our names in order. Very nice personal touch and greatly appreciated that we were treated with value and respect. Love both the overall cool chic ambience that makes Lobster seafood nights enjoyable and relaxing, upscale without being stuffy. Prices were VERY reasonable for downtown Toronto with selection of super fresh seafood and Lobster. For sure we will be back for big events, or even to spend time for bites and drink. Thank you so much Hannah and Daniel!

This place has great food for really decent prices - and $6 cocktails that were delicious! I tried the lobster frites, lobster burger, lobster/shrimp roll, and nachos and all four were great. They really give you lots of lobster in the burger - I’d definitely recommend that as a main over the others. The service was decent, but not fantastic. All in all great food experience though!

Loved it, friendly staff, good food. Classy and upper class restaurant. Reasonable and affordable. We had the combo 1 for approximately $55. We shared it and was more than enough for two people. You could upgrade your lobster to 2lbs for an extra $37 but felt it was not necessary as it was a decent amount of food.

Went here for dinner after seeing a theatre show and had a great time. Staff were super nice and helpful, the ambiance and decor were great (especially since they had done some light Halloween decorating without overpowering their normal aesthetic), and food was very yummy! The pineapple margarita was one of the best margaritas I have had in a long time, would have had so many if my plans had allowed 😋 Best food things we ate were the lobster fries supreme and the lobster bisque. The sauce on the fries was SO GOOD and both were super rich and luxurious and full of flavour. What keeps it from being a full 5 stars from me for food and only a 4 is the steamed lobster in the combo I shared with my mom tastes a bit over cooked. It was a little chewier than I would have liked, but still tasted very fresh. But if your restaurant has lobster in the name, I am definitely expecting a perfectly cooked lobster you know? Still I would love to come back here again for those fries and that margarita. And the lobster rolls. We also had the banana bread pudding for dessert which was very yummy but I forgot to take a photo.

The atmosphere was great and the decor is sleek and clean. Dined here with friends on a Friday night and they had a live DJ playing music which was awesome! The food is reasonably priced and the portions are pretty big as well. I got the lobster fettuccine which was very delicious and quite filling. The oysters were fresh and great for sharing. I highly recommend their espresso martinis! It was really good!

Pleasantly surprised by the flavors, quality, and execution of the dishes here. Great spot for a date or night out with friends, with a lot of options on the menu aside from seafood. Service was friendly although a little slow. Everything tasted excellent with standouts being their burger, home cut fries, and lobster gravy. Although the lobster roll was slightly overcooked and the onion rings and popcorn shrimp didn't seem to be battered/breaded properly as the coating kept falling off, they were still delicious. Reasonably priced and and confortable environment with overall great food, I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Went to the Lobster Burger Bar recently and had a wonderful experience! Made it during happy hour so it was great to enjoy appetizers for half off, and definitely got our lobster/seafood fix. Service here was really attentive and even met one of the managers, JJ, who really elevated the customer service. Definitely recommend trying this place out! Look forward to coming back soon.

What a wonderful experience. My family and I loved the food. Happy hour had amazing prices. The restaurant is dog friendly and they bring your dog water, a bed and a toy. My dog said woof woof (thank you). Very good with kids too with a kids menu and complimentary treats for them. Service is excellent. We felt royal with about 4 to 5 different servers and the GM coming to greet us and ensure our needs are met. Definitely will be back again and again!

Heard great things about this place was looking forward to trying it. We ordered almost every appetizer on the menu and were left extremely disappointed. Flavour not there, the ceasar salad has a weird vinegar flavour, the lobster fries had 2 shredded pieces of lobster and almost no toppings. The service was just ok, very slow.

Went here for the summerlicious dinner menu. The lobster chowder was very creamy, so much that you couldn't taste the lobster. The lobster spaghetti was not that great. The sauce was very watery. The wagyu burger is supposed to have truffle, but you can barely taste it. We had to ask for spoons to drink the soup and ketchup to eat the fries. I would recommend ordering their regular menu items instead.

First time coming here and I would say it’s pretty worth it for the price and the amount of lobster you get in every dish. We got the lobster roll (classic and truffle), the lobster burger and the combo. The food is not to die for but I did really enjoy everything. It’s simple, you basically can guess what it tastes like by looking at the photos. The only thing that really made it a 4 star is that you can never find a waitress. It took a while for us to find someone to serve us water and take our order.

Previous big fan and recommended Lobster Burger Bar but my last visit was disappointing. Menu showed the fish and chips one way and they came to the table another way looking different. Only explanation when asked was that the plating had changed. Possibly a different fish supplier with fish nuggets instead of fish fillets? Felt that the staff could have done a better job informing when ordering, removing it or updating the menu. Service required more action to get the servers attention several times. It was a 2:30pm meal and the restaurant was not busy. Even more attentiveness appreciated. Not satisfied with the desserts unfortunately. The chocolate lava cake was a bit over done and the banana bread a bit too dense. The butterscotch/caramel sauce was a bit gritty; could be much smoother you can taste the texture of the sugar particles. Winner of the afternoon was the lobster bisque and lobster roll. The onion ring substitution is worth it as well for $6. Although could use a bit of parchment or something to soak up the oil. Overall visit okay. Previous visits had the wow, OMG factor but things like food quality and attention to detail seems to have declined now unfortunately.

Thank you to the stuff at Lobster Burger Bar for making my anniversary with my partner very special and memorable. The food was incredible, I loved everything, especially the fresh lobster roll buns and lobster bisque. Such amazing food and at a great price! We had the Combo 1, and it was the best thing I’ve ever had. And I’d like to especially thank our server Amanda. She had outstanding customer service. She took our pictures, and made our anniversary memorable with champagne and delicious Lava cake. If you haven’t been here I highly recommend, this is my new favourite spot downtown for special occasions. You must eat here.

If you are looking for a top quality lobster dinner then look no further than Lobster Burger Bar. From the atmosphere, to the customer service right to the main attraction the food. The East Coast Lobster is worth the visit alone, fresh, cooked to perfection and tasty. The serving is generous (1lbs) and just melts in your mouth. The Lobster Mac and Cheese has a generous serving of lobster and a taste that cannot be beat. Also if you like your Mac and cheese cheesy then they have you covered. The Pad Thai, although tasty I have to admit it was a little to spicy for me. My only other issue would be there was not a lot of lobster in the serving. The taste though, is solid. Finally the classic lobster roll was fresh, nothing overpowering and balanced out perfectly. The bun was freshly baked which added to the experience. Also, the cleanliness of the restaurant shows how well the staff works together, the restaurant has a fresh smell and clean look. From the management to the team, our table was well managed and we felt welcomed from the time you enter to the time you leave. If you enjoy seafood and are in the downtown area, visit this restaurant, you won’t regret it.

Visited recently and had a good experience. After visiting the east coast, I have been hooked on lobster rolls and have been trying to find a place in Toronto/GTA that has something comparable. The lobster rolls weren’t as good as the east coast but I’ve also had worse. I wish they sold the Connecticut style, and offered bigger chunks of lobster meat. The highlight for me was the lobster fries and garlic truffle fries.. both were really good. Drinks were fairly standard. Overall a good time, but not sure it was worth the price or if I’ll be back.

The place had a good vibe. We got seated. Offered menu. Placed orders for lobster chowder and lobster fries. Both were great. Then comes the unfortunate part. Order lobster burger for the main and guess what? The burger was dry. The lobster patty was dry. Not sure if it’s entirely a lobster patty. Not much sauce in the burger. And loads of greens inside. The fries that came with the burger were absolutely cold. With 31$ for a main, you can’t serve a dry burger and cold fries. The service was great by some servers.

Food: 1/2 price apps during happy hour is the best. Tried the mussels, delicious tomato cream sauce with chunks of lobster inside and the garlic bread accompanying it was delicious, greY to dip in leftover sauce. Tried the popcorn shrimp with the buffalo sweet chili sauce and it was very good, shrimps were large and crispy and flavourful and the sauce was the best sweet chili style I've ever tried. I got the shrimp and lobster roll which was really good, hot and crispy pieces and fluffy bread/bun. My boyfriend had the lobster burger which was good and deceivingly very filling. For sides of fries and onion rings which were perfect. Great portion sizes for the price...all the food we got was $93 with tax Atmosphere: way larger than it looks from the outside. Very nice with nice jazz music playing. The servers and waiters are super kind, welcoming and answered my 100 questions about the menu without making me feel silly. Shoutout to JJ who made us feel personally welcome.

We ordered to go the Lobster Burger & Fries and the Classic Lobster Roll. The burger had a good amount of Lobster meat in the form of a thick patty and the vegetables were fresh. The Lobster roll is better eaten at the restaurant because the buttered bun will get soggy. Or reheat the bun when you get home. The meat comprising of a lot of claw meat is tasty of you like the claw. Service is awesome as well. We realized the fries were missing and they gladly rectified the issue without question. Pick up within 10-15 minutes. They are fast!

Lovely spacious restaurant. Friendly staff. I received my appetizer and main course quickly, but I hadn't received my drink yet( I had an iced tea, so nothing fancy). When my drink finally arrived after asking several wait staff, the iced tea tasted watered down. My meal was delicious the summerlicious dinner menu is great. Even getting a refill was a challenge. When I asked to get the bill, I had to wait well after my dessert. Willing to give it another chance.

Came for Summerlicious. Worth the price for the quality and serving size. Got seated quickly on the patio. Had a lovely waiter named Nicole who put a rush order on our food so we could catch our movie in time, which we did! Her Mission: Impossible. And she had a great sense of humour and was attentive. All people at the tables around us seemed to be having a good time, taking selfies, joking that we got their bill, or giving us their ketchup. A+ service from her and her co-worker that saw us without dessert spoons and got those for us. Lobster croquettes were awesome with the perfect sauce accompanying. Meaty with good chunks of lobster in there and a nice dip. I heard the lobster bisque was flavourful too. The Wagyu beef burger was heavy, but that was not surprising. I liked all the toppings--avocado, whole grilled little yellow and red tomatoes, avocado, black truffle mayo, the cheese. The meat was cooked nicely and so soft in texture. Terrific. Good airy bun, too. Fries were fries. Hard to go wrong with. Crispy and seasoned well. Nicole got us an assortment of chipotle, regular, and mushroom mayo when mayo was requested. :D My only negative is that the menu didn't read "chocolate" banana bread pudding and at how dense the banana bread pudding was. It was very much like a banana brownie/blondie than any bread pudding I'd ever tried. It tasted good, but I had thought I was ordering the lightest dessert option. Interested in returning for their lobster roll!

Came here for lunch with my husband & new born. we enjoyed our experience with lobster burger bar. The restaurant was a tad on the dark side, but we were seated by the window so it was a bit better. I feel they didn’t have all their lights on so maybe this was just an issue the day we went. My food was really good. I had the lobster & shrimp roll. My husband had the lobster burger and said he wished he ordered what I did. Our food took quite a while to arrive, but when it did, you could tell it was fresh off the press. The bathrooms were very clean. Not sure if they are wheelchair accessible?! As we had to carry our stroller up the many front stairs and when we arrived to the top to meet the hostess she said “sorry about that” - so I assume there is no easier / accessible way

I came here for the first time last week, service was friendly and prompt. The manager took the time to go to each table to introduce himself to the customers. The food was pretty good. I recommend the popcorn shrimp in the sweet chili sauce, but the honey garlic is also good. The photo attached is the desert we ordered called everything but the kitchen sink, and this is for 6 people to eat for it to be finished. 12 scoops of ice cream with brownie on top.

Ate here with a friend before seeing a show. Was shocked at how quickly the food came out– certainly didn't need nearly as much time as we planned on. The food was basic but good. Portion sizes were on the smaller side (we ended up ordering more food after eating our mains), but not unreasonably priced all things considered. It was a good atmosphere too. They've done a great job modernizing the classic "lobster house" vibe with strong branding, tasteful neon lighting, and good colour choices. Will definitely be back!

Had the beef lobster Burger. It was a little on the dry side. For a lobster Burger Bar, I would expect the paty to be a bit better but everything else is good (bread, seasoning, presentation). In addition, we asked if the mayonnaise was house made or commercially made or pasteurized because some people in our party are pregnant. Not a big deal if it was housemade or not but the server and kitchen staff just said "it came shipped to us" so we assumed it's just housemade and unpasteurized to be on the safe side. Of course lobster rolls do not taste as well without mayo, but not a big deal. I would just expect a little more knowledge and perhaps effort in the service at a venue like this. I am just being nit picky. Overall still a great place.

Sheik modern take on a lobster bar. For the money, this place really couldn't be beat. We had oysters, mussels, and the combo for the table and it was plenty of food. The only slight against them was the slower service. They did have a server robot though! 4.5/5 would come back again

  • 4/5 Shery W. 1 year ago on Google
The oysters were nice and the flavour of food was good. I think we should have tried the lobster and steak vs the lobster trio to really taste it. Music and vibe are great. Service was excellent. We went during happy hour and apps were half price which was nice.

Service is ok. Atmosphere is good. Food is good but our party of two felt quite thirsty afterwards even though the items we ordered did not taste overly salty. We got: Lobster Trio ($70) which consists of one classic, one crispy and one black truffle roll with truffle garlic parmesan fries. We couldn’t decide which of the three to order so we decided to get all three since it was our first time. I discovered I like the classic because the lobster flavour comes through the most in this one. The bun is also flavourful and toasted perfectly. lobster bisque ($12) was topped with whipped cream and chives. Decent portion, temperature could have been hotter. We went for lunch on a Saturday around 2pm. It was not busy and no reservations were needed. Would return again.

Visited for dinner before a show where we had a lovely meal. Service was very attentive and the food was delicious as expected. One thing I would suggest is being a bit more attentive to other details like cleanliness and presentation given the prices being charged. The menu I was provided had wet food embedded in between the pages, which is kinda gross. And, I was given cutlery that was bent wildly out of shape.

Did a quick restaurant change, and was very surprised and pleased. Tbh I thought Lobster Burger Bar was just a seafood spot, nothing fancy was surprised to see that it was a very lovely restaurant. The staff are a 10/10 from the moment you walk into the front door all the way until we left. The hostess came back and checked on us after hearing about our experience at another restaurant. We did their $50 tasting menu, app, main and dessert. Definitely get your money worth of great food. Our first Appetizer didn’t come out well done, we let our waitress know and the Manager came out right after to apologize and offer us a different appetizer, which we accepted. The Calamari was great. The Lobster Ravioli was great and filling and you could actually taste the lobster pieces. The Lava Cake dessert was soo yummy. Great service and food 10/10 for me. Will definitely be back.

The most unpretentious place for lobster, great drinks, and tasty appetizers! Came to this place for dinner with my hubby. We ordered drinks and the lobster nachos. It was during happy hour so the appie was half off and it was DELICIOUS! My peach cosmopolitan was divine and my hubby's beer was cold and he enjoyed it. For mains, hubby ordered the lobster burger and I ordered the beef and lobster burger. I was a bit worried that they came with shoestring fries (because shoestring can be pretty flimsy if not cooked well) but even the fries were great. The beef lobster burger on the other hand was OMG!!! I couldn't stop eating it even when I was full SOOOOO yummy! Pros: Large restaurant, downtown Toronto with an excellent happy hour selection. Great for an intimate lunch or dinner, or large get together with work colleagues or friends. Unique menu, delicious food! Think lobster served in a more chill, down-to-earth way. In fact, the restaurant itself has a great chill vibe. Bathrooms are clean and smell fresh. Shout out to Jay, the Manager who came over and introduced himself to us. What a nice touch. Cons: Service could step it up a bit to make the experience better. Our server didn't tell us her name. She was very good otherwise but if a server doesn't tell me their name, they've let me down and let themselves down. It's the first impression your guests have of you, and one of the simplest ways to gain points with your guests (and more likely, a better tip). Hostesses, be present. You shouldn't be on your cell phone when guests arrive or leave the restaurant. The hostesses when we arrived were great. Greeted us, seated us and let us know our server would be along shortly. However, when we left, the two hostesses working the entrance were on their phones and didn't even acknowledge us when we thanked them. The first and last touch points with guests are the most important and can use improvement at this establishment. Also, please clean those windows that face the street. That needs attention for sure! Overall, great experience. There are a few small things to improve on service but we would definitely come here again and would recommend this place to others.

Welcoming staff and manager. The ambiance and service were unbeatable. The calamari, dessert, and coffee were spectacular, but I found the lobster in lobster roll and burger a bit tough. Also, we had ordered a beef+lobster burger, but we didn't realize that the order was placed as a lobster burger until we received the receipt.

I really enjoyed the food. The cheese sauce was amazing and the lobster roll was very tasty and filling. Unfortunately the service was rather slow though. It was as if our waitress had no interest in dealing with our table. She was pleasant but rarely seen.

We arrived without a reservation on a weekday for dinner and we were seated promptly. The lobster roll and chocolate lava cake were very decadent and filling. The decor of the restaurant was very appealing. Overall we had a great experience dining here.

We had a great experience there, from our server (whose name I unfortunately forgot as we were there about a month ago but I know it starts with B) to the manager Jason, who came to greet us in person since this was our first time there. The appetizers and main dishes were all tasty. The interior decoration is very nice and the atmosphere was great. I definitely recommend it.

Took a friend on a nice date here! It’s been a place I’ve been wanting to try, but hasn’t had the chance. The food and drinks although on the pricier side are really worth. My friend had a lobster dish and said it was really good, I on the other hand had a waygu burger and holy it’s one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Definitely a recommended date spot or social spot before/after an event!

This has become our go-to pre-theatre spot. (I almost hate to share it because I don’t want it to get busy but it feels selfish not to). The entrance is a bit cluttered but once you get in, everything is super clean and well spaced out. The food has been consistently good and it was a nice surprise to see the Summerlicious menu still available after it had officially ended - it felt like a fun bonus to do the three courses. Our servers were great and all of the food came out hot and fresh. There was a manager (we think - we didn’t get his name and felt bad about that) who was absolutely crushing it checking in with tables and doing an awesome job and making everyone’s experience a bit “extra” including a kitchen tour for a young girl at the table near ours and tipping one of our table mates off to the free birthday dessert when he overheard us cheers-ing her day. Another thing we really appreciated was how tuned in the servers were. When ours was busy with another table, one noticed us looking for her, came over and made sure we had what we needed. Other places do the “I’ll get your server” thing, but the teamwork was really on point and that’s the little things that make a good food/good service into a really great experience. Thanks to the whole team for a great meal!

Both the quality and quantity of the lobster roll and lobster burger were really good. Only there was too much sauce on the bun and made the bun too wet. We were there after 1:30pm on a weekend. Not too busy in the restaurant but probably understaffed. The dinner area is good but please also keep the washroom clean, due to this being reduced to 3 stars.

I wish I could give this place more stars. Sam and Sunny were kind, efficient and personable. The food was tasty and true to the menu description. This establishment should the first place you visit in Toronto when wanting good eats and perfect customer service!
