Hidden gem in the city. There's something for everyone here whether it's swimming beach play walking and splash pad and play area and a swimming pool. If your hungry or thirsty there are several options. Restrooms and change area available. Shopping only a block away with super cute shops. This beach is a must!

2023 June 4β˜… What's not to like? Park with a playground and a Free beach in the city. Connected to the Martin Goodman Trail, this park is easily accessible for everyone. In this area, there's a few sand dunes to help with keeping the sand at the beach. Police station nearby. Great for the kids.

Well maintained boardwalks and beaches. Plenty chairs and benches. Enough washrooms in the stretch. Plenty parking spaces on weekdays. Walked from the Woodbine beach parking to the Balmy beach park and back. It was about 10km. It was a beautiful September day, the walk was pleasant. Enjoyed the beach/lake views.

Lovely place to enjoy the summer at the beach. Its a huge place with kiaks availabe to rent. The water is clean and there are life guards until 7:30 pm for our safety. Whether you want to go for a swim or just relax by the beach I would highly recommend going to this beach park. You also get the view of CN tower. You have an ice cream store in the park and an ice cream truck nearby the park. Sometimes you can also see people with fancy kites in the park. One of my favourite beach for summer.

Nice place for sure. Plenty of people enjoying themselves. Definitely a family place to enjoy, and celebrate parties. It's relaxing. The board walk is long and nice. Overall the park is clean and that's a big plus for me. Finding parking sucks, FYI..

Probably my favourite beach in Toronto. A lot of sand area, also good spaces for barbecue and hang. There are some shops around, and you can rent a kayak, sup and other water sports equipment there.

Nice walking / running trails. An extension of the beach across the street. There is a kids playground, public washrooms, a small pond, one of the venues of the Beaches jazz festival in the summer, it is the area to be. There are some benches to sit and green space to relax. Pet friendly, but keep your πŸ• on a leash as there are a lot of children around.

Woodbine Beach Park in Scarborough is more than just a park; it's an experience. Nestled expansively, its cleanliness stands out, making it even more appealing amidst its natural splendor. The picturesque views coupled with its inviting ambiance create the perfect backdrop for memorable outings. On my visit, I was accompanied by a beloved cousin and an aunt, and our time there was filled with laughter, bonding, and the simple joys of nature. The people we met during our excursion were notably friendly and exuded a warm hospitality typical of the community. This park has etched a special place in my heart, and I eagerly look forward to relishing its beauty once more. A must-visit, especially with loved ones.

Favorite beach at Toronto. I visit here from time to time. You definitely don't want to miss the Victoria Day fireworks, however it will be a mess to go home via TTC due to the large crowd and traffic jam. The best way to visit here is via the Line 2 at Woodbine station and take the bus from there. This park can be reached by street car but due to the detour caused by the Ontario Line construction, it can be very confusing to take the street car. Short turn occurs very frequently. Walking along the beach eastward will take to the RC Harris Water Treatment Plant which is another gem in Toronto with stunning lake view.

One of the best if not the best beach/park in Toronto (in my opinion). The beach part has many sections. One with a large sandy area with lots of volleybal fields and other types of sports. Following that the sand area starts to narrow a bit and then starts the beach area where ppl lay down their towels, tarps or tents to enjoy the sun and swim (mostly Canadians who can tolerate the cold waters). If you are lucky enough you might get a reasonably tolerable cool water and actually enjoy swimming. The beach portion for sunbathing and swimming keeps streetching for quite a distance. If you like something a little more secluded, if you keep walking past the water treatment station, you will find a "hidden" beach, which is accessible by a somewhat steep but short trail. The park portion is pretty big and accomodate a lot of families in different settings. You can have barbecues, picnics or set a hammock under the trees and listen to the waves crashing. Very relaxing.

Very nice beach park any time of the year. Kids love big playgrounds. Different sports facilities like tennis courts and soccer fields. And it's one of the best spots to see fireworks . The special road for bicycles is very safe and convenient . On the weekends lots of people do pickings and barbecue. Subway stations are nearby and there are lots of free parking space.

Endless options for all ages while you take in the fresh air and soothing sights and sounds of the beach, boardwalk and bike paths. Two swans swam near where we set up our folding chairs while the 2 year old began his systematic emptying of the beach, one stone at a time into the lake! Close your eyes and you can hear and feel the loons, waves and soft breeze.

Such a great green space with ponds and walking trails you almost forget you are in the city until you look west and see the beautiful sky line. I walk my doggy and baby every day here, lots of doggy spaces and kiddo spaces as well.

Can get very crowded in the summer. But overall the best beach in the city . Be prepared to look for parking if lot is full. And always take trash with you. Food and ice cream trycks always there as well as dine in. Paddling and I think jets skis are also available as well.

We went there to watch the fireworks on Canada day and it was a great experience. Although the beach was a bit crowded but it was family friendly and nice.

Great place for Canada day fireworks. Been there about 15 years ago which was the wild wild west where people were just shooting fireworks - and almost at each other. Now there are lots of cops so it's very toned down so families can enjoy the 14 mins fireworks show with about 20k people. Remember to bring a lawn chair or matt to sit on the sand.

Beautiful area, apparently popular with instagrammers as several were there despite the chill doing photo shoots. Buildings also interesting, complete with nesting cliff swallow on the s8de to the lake.

Great for running, biking, and having a picnic at the park. However, the beach was filthy!! Trash all along the beach shore in the sand and the water was murky and cloudy. Maybe this is par for the course but as a visitor I was a bit shocked after visiting Lake Huron and Lake Superior.

Always a hub of activity and culture! Families bbqing, dog walkers, volleyball, playgrounds for kids, games, kite fliers, bikers, sailboats to watch... just bring your own fav snacks, a beach chair, some friends and kickback and enjoy! Long trails to walk and bike with fantastic views of the lake and city! Facilities available.

It's large, has a nice, long boardwalk, and is filled with life, and even though the water was freezing cold (in mid-July, mind you!), my wife and I had a great time. We also got really good tans.

Great place for fun and meeting outside. Not alot of options, but there is fun to be had. Would like some more outdoor equipment, etc. And also, make it more winter friendly like Scandinavian cities. Bright coloured huts/buildings, scaring areas, snowshoe park, hot chocolate/food vendors.

Great escape from the city. Very accessible by any method of transportation. An ideal place for a walk or a bike ride, also great for running as you follow the Martin Goodman Trail. Always a good vibe and well-maintained.

Amazing trails for walking and cycling. The beach stretches a long way with multiple spots varying from sandy shores to rocky spots. For those looking to play volleyball there are around 16 courts available. Perfect for the family weekend getaway where the kids and enjoy the sand while parents can bask in the sun!

  • 4/5 Samuel Y. 1 year ago on Google
Large beach space . Bathing station. Walkway and dedicated cycle route. Not the finest sand and pebbles to walk along the water but can easily spend a whole here enjoying nature. Parking is horrible.

  • 5/5 Amer K. 1 year ago on Google
Large and clean sand beaches. A good place to take the whole family. Many food stores and there is a clean and well managed toilets in the area. I enjoy going there to watch speed and sail boats sailing close to the shore. There is even a store to rent boats and training courses for beginners.

One of the nicer and better areas of Toronto, the boardwalk is relaxing and the view of Lake Ontario is wide and unobstructed. There is a lot of green space and it's rarely packed unless it's a holiday. Beaches like the ones in Cobourg are better, but this is really the best you'll get in Toronto. There are cool shops on Queen Street and interesting houses just north of the boardwalk that make it worth it for me.

  • 5/5 Nguyen T. 1 year ago on Google
It is spacious yet has enough people around. I can come meditate here, read a book or hang out with my friends. They also have 2 public washroom, food and drink are closed by as well

  • 5/5 Philip F. 2 years ago on Google
It can be very busy, but that's understandable. One of the best beaches in the city. You can find quieter areas away from the bathing station/ washrooms and the Beach Volleyball courts.
