Food was so delicious with strong, bold flavors. While there is a lot of curry dishes but they all tasted different as they aimed to imitate curry from different regions of south asia. Small portions though but so so yummy. With all the sauce you should definitely get extra naan or rice to sop it up

Found it via google when i was in the vicinity. Firstly, the name is interesting. Being from Asia, and India i knew a Rickshaw bar has to have indian food. The host, hostesses are charming and the bartender is amazing. The food is well balanced in flavour and lip smacking good. Try out the cocktails and more than one for a complete experience. A must visit on Queen st. Great place for evening drinks by yourself, family dinner, business meeting or an important date.

Go for a date, or take the clients out. Clean spacious decor. A bar with lots of room. Relaxing ambient music. Dishes are small, simple and very delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would certainly go back for the beef curry.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to experience the tasting menu paired with Sparkling white wine, and what an amazing experience it was! Each course was beautifully balanced with such depth that each bite was a new taste as you built off the last flavour. The staff are incredibly attentive and thoughtful, clearing each course at just the right time to keep the meal moving without any lag. The plating was beautiful with each dish lovingly assembled to highlight the strengths of the food and seemed to pull elements from the ingredients and from the countries/cultures that inspired the dishes. Without a doubt, this was one of the most relaxed, rewarding, and deliciously outstanding meals we have had. No hesitation recommending this gem to anyone!

The Rickshaw bar is a small tapas style type of restaurant that serves food of pan-asian fusion style - but with a heavy Indian influence. The decor is dark, intimate, industrial yet chic. I came here with 3 other friends and was advised that it would take 1 small and 1 big plate for each person to get full, which isn't too bad considering the prices are not too bad. It worked well for us since all the items on the menu sounded really interesting and yummy. When the dishes came, a friend commented that they were a bit on the small side, and I tend to agree - each of us gets to have a bite or two of the items and that's about it. The dishes themselves tastes fantastic, so that kind of made up for the portion size. We shared: Roasted Caulifolower - nothing special, good if you want veggies Sesame brussels sprouts - taste good Chicken 685 - the breading is a bit on the thick side but good flavor. There are two thighs in total. Lamb Mishkaki - comes with naan and I have to say that the mint chimmichurri was great with it. Naan Kebab flatbread - it is kind of like a pizza, and the beef, jalenpeno and yogurt combination was really tasty. Everyone liked it. Ismaili Beef curry - goes very nicely with accompanied rice. I wished there was more of it. Shrimp Makai curry - the shrimp was very fresh and the dish tasted great. Overall, I think Rickshaw Bar has some really great things going for it. If they change up the menu every now and then, and perhaps offer bigger portion size options, I think this could become a regular place for me. Really good service. Nice atmosphere, playing old school hip hop the night I went. Only got a taco and some beers. So the taco was fantastic and the beers which I think was barking squirrel, was good too. Nice layout to the place with some cool decor. Recommend.

Not a big space but an intimate space. A space with a chill minimalist vibe. A place where you are greeted each and every time by a big smile and next up are some pretty awesome cocktails. With one of these in hand the hard part begins. The menu arrives and everything looks insanely good and it is. Ask your server for a bit of help making sure you get a great balance of flavours. Personally I like to grab a ton of Chef Owner Noureen’s nibbles and then the whole fish. Do not miss the fish. Her flavours are bright and diversified coming from India, Pakistan, Africa and Asia. I have yet to manage to grab dessert but next time and that will be very soon. Please follow @joannasable on instagram for more food fun

LOVED THIS PLACE! Came here for a friend's birthday gathering in the middle of the week and everyone enjoyed the whole experience. Service was top notch, our server took the time to explain dishes and feature menu items. Throughout the evening he was also very tentative with refilling beverages and bringing and removing dinnerware during course changes. We were a party of about 10, and I believe he was the only server working that evening. The food had great balance in flavours and textures (must try: tea leaf salad). The cocktails were also a hit just as much as the food (my favourite: street vendor's chaat). Drinks were mixed well, not overly boozy or lacking booze. A great place to try as well as return to.

Beautiful space. Intimate setting that can accommodate big groups. Especially impressed with its decor, choice of lighting, seating and overall vibe. Food was ah-mazing. The taste was flavourful and portions were just right. I highly recommend. Photos captured: scallop ceviche, pakora, chicken 685.

Foodie beware, I just left a 5 star after only the appetizer! I have never enjoyed brussel sprouts, nor did I consider them a good food. This restaurant has changed my bias against brussel sprouts into a desire to cook my own that don't suck! Thank you Rickshaw for the insperational cuisine! Oh wow:-O I had to add to my post, this place is great and my plate is empty. We had a friend chicken in amazing sauce, just wow and thank you!!
