    I had a really great experience at this gym. I signed on for about 4 months, starting when we moved to the neighbourhood and stopping when our second child was due. The weekly rate is fair, and there are good options for those willing to commit to a year up front with some good flexibility to pause due to life events. The gym itself is HUGE! However, even when busy there is plenty of space around, and it does not give off the vibe of commercial, franchise gyms. I mainly focus on the primal strength movements (squat, deadlift, bench) and there are plenty of stations for those. I also attended a few of the group training classes. While there are a lot of people, there is enough equipment to go around. The trainers have good programs that focus on strength, hypertrophy and endurance. Finally, a word for the staff who were always great to interact with. They help create a positive atmosphere, with good vibes. My only recommendation that would have made the experience even more ideal is if they had evening hours on weekends. Those of us with kids would love to take advantage of those time slots for a workout.

    I've been going to Primal for a while now and their group training sessions are fantastic. The coaches are all extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, encouraging and motivating. In addition to improving my strength, the classes have made a huge difference in terms of increasing flexibility and range of motion (thanks to the next level warm-up and cool down techniques Ryan S incorporates into his strength sessions --- look him up, he has stretching videos on his instagram, you won't regret it). Also, having been a member at many other places in Toronto and beyond, it is great to find a top tier gym that is inviting to everyone and doesn't have the intense Gym Bro-forward vibes that can be intimidating/off-putting to newcomers. Great sense of community from day 1!

    This place is honestly a hidden gem. The facilities and equipment are great. They hire top-notch instructors. I learned so much from taking bjj, boxing, kickboxing, kin stretch classes etc. I started off as a beginner but I never felt out of place in the dojo because the instructors were really knowledgeable and everyone there helps each other succeed. The owner and all the staff are so friendly and helpful (shoutout to Sean, Ayla, Isaac, Tony and the others) Sean created a great workout regimen for me and you can tell he wants everyone to meet their goals. Everyone I met there has been so supportive and I think the overall environment is just a really positive one. Highly recommend everyone to try out this place!

    Great array of strength classes to kick workouts up a notch! They offer boxing, BJJ, yoga, and stretch classes that make for a well rounded training program. Free weights, lots of racks, and room for workouts too. The staff are great and the location is good with lots of parking. Highly recommend Primal Gym!

    Highly recommend this gym! It boasts a friendly, motivating and fun atmosphere, while working out hard. I was new to Toronto and the team there made me feel so welcome. There is great variety across the different days and classes which means that it has been planned so you can go every day. Great gym that is well suited to all types of fitness levels.

    I will start by saying I have only been there for two weeks. But I couldn't wait I had to review this place because it has been a pretty life changing experience. I get the feeling that the staff care about me and my progress. They want me to achieve my goals and they push me in the right direction. The results mentally and physically will be unmatched. They know what they are doing. They can work with all skill and fitness levels. Whatever you want to do they have it for you. Lifting. Working out. Martial arts. And the best part is they have a lot of great people to teach you those things. 11/10.

    Solid local warehouse gym offering bootcamps, personal training, open gym as well as Martial Arts. I go for the bootcamps. They have three rotating modules including Strength ( heavy lifting, low volume training), Ignight ( High intensity intervals with sustained periods of activity to keep the Heart rate elevated and objective is achieving high number of reps) and Fusion( mid weight style training with higher reps (8-12) and lots of super sets). Solid instructors, class sizes are not overly crowded 8-12 ppl. Gym could be cleaner, suggest coaches put more emphasis on athletes being told to wipe down equipment for improved hygiene. Equipment such as Benches could use some TLC / reupholstering.

    Primal is more than a gym, it’s a community - and one of the best around! Amazing coaches who are supportive and challenge you to meet your fitness and wellness goals. They’re also a lot of fun - such a relaxed environment. The summer shred program is the best I have ever taken part of. It has helped me reach my goals faster than I thought I would thanks to the staff, the fitness and meal plan, my 1x1 coach and the workouts of course! They ensure that every lesson works for any level of fitness.

    A friend of mine told me to come with him to Primal. At first I was nervous, how am I supposed to participate in a jujitsu class, when I don't know anything about jujitsu or even in shape well let me tell you, I was totally wrong. The place was very welcoming and it put me at ease. They provided me with Gi, towel, and any equipment needed, such as gloves and pads. They have an assortment of different classes, boot camps, and more. This place gets my 5 star rating. Make sure you speak to Terrence he will walk you through everything.

    I only have great things to say about Primal! The back entrance may have you looking around making sure you're at the right place but once you're inside, you'll be welcomed and gently nudged to show up for yourself and crush your fitness goals. It's been such a great experience getting back into fitness by doing the group classes especially with the support from staff and the other people. Highly recommend!

    I joined the free trial boot camp and am happy with my decision. It has a right mix with accountability coaching, meal plans and strength training workouts. It has surely put me on right path not only my weight loss goals but also 360 degree health development. The strength training workout sessions are great as they create a good challenge to go for. I would highly recommend to all who are serious to achieve their health goals.

    Amazing vibe and really supportive trainers here! As a beginner brand new to weight training Ryan helped me achieve my goals and way more - I was surprised how much I improved after one month. You really feel welcomed, supported, and held accountable as part of their community, and they have an amazing on-boarding program for newcomers and beginners.

    I've been training at Primal Gym for a few months now with an incredible personal trainer. Kevin is attentive to my needs and desires when it comes to my fitness and is always incorporates new and different exercises that I want to try. Having experienced a few injuries in my past, I can say with the utmost confidence, that Kevin has guided in exercising injury free and is still helping me prevent further injury. Thank you so much Kevin. I highly recommend his personal training services to all!

    My experience at Primal has been fantastic. The staff is very knowledgeable and offer a great variety of exercises and workouts in the Bootcamps and Personal Training sessions. But more than that, they really push you to get out of your comfort zone - and that is when the results really start to show. Primal has also created a wonderful community that is welcoming to everyone and without judgement if you don’t know how to do something or you don’t look like a fitness model already (isn’t that most of us?!), which I find refreshing to be a part of. There are no meatheads trying to intimidate people - like at some of the big chain gyms I’ve been a part of - it’s just a group of great people who have a common goal of getting in and staying in shape. If you are looking for results in a supportive environment, I highly recommend Primal!

    Perfect gym to starting your workout. Perfect trainers, fun, and they keep you on track. They help you to keep going and not giving up. I had and have good results regarding my goals. It helped me to have a better and healthy lifestyle. I strongly recommend to anyone especially if you're a beginner or away from workout for a while.

    I did PT sessions with Josh and really had such a positive experience. Josh is very educated, informative, attention to technique, and set a program that was very tailored to my goals and fitness level. I saw results really quickly and learned a lot. Josh is also just such a pleasure to train with as well and has a very motivating and positive attitude. The entire gym is very welcoming !

    Amazing gym! I signed up during the pandemic and they were super helpful with providing me with weights and everything. The virtual classes are great and the coaches are all A++++++. Can't wait to be able to do some in person classes eventually! Wish I had signed up even sooner!

    This is hands down the best gym I've ever gone to. The staff & coaches are all phenomenal, they're encouraging, supportive, and informed. The community they've created is a pleasure to be a part of. During the pandemic this has been the one thing keeping me going. Do yourself a favour and sign up! You won't regret it.

    I highly recommend Primal Gym. I've been working out there for over a year now, and it's been an incredible experience. The equipment is great, and the environment along with the coaches are both friendly and professional. The yoga and kinstretching classes are a perfect complement to the diverse workout options they offer. It's a complete package that's kept me coming back consistently!

    I completed my 7 day free trial at Primal and it was the most challenging and rewarding thing I’ve done in so long. Trying a mixture of women’s bjj (safe and inclusive space), kickboxing (prepare to sweat!), and bootcamp with Hannah Rolleman (Olympic weightlifting champion with the best energy). The staff were very helpful in setting me up and their primal academy app was very helpful to booking/cancelling classes with my busy schedule. Very understanding if you’re running a bit late for class. Overall an awesome experience! Definitely give Primal a shot with your fitness goals. You won’t be disappointed 🦾

    Went to try one of the classes for the first time and felt the class wasn’t for me and talked the staff about what I was looking for and my injuries and how I wanted to make myself better they took the time to speak to me and work with me and help me find a solution on what to do walked out of there with tears in my eyes (happy tears) that they actually cared about me best gym I have ever been too looking forward to work with them soon thanks Primal

    Amazing facility with great coaches and members. Truly feels like a community. Joined during the pandemic and haven't looked back since. Highly recommend you pay a visit to this gym and get a workout in to see for yourself.

    Great trainers! I haven't left a workout without being completely exhausted and feeling good. Would highly recommend trying out their bootcamps. If you're like me you wont be able to stay away!

    I had the best experience working out at Primal Gym, where the environment was great and staff, especially coach Justyn and Raven, were very knowledgeable and friendly, and the boot camp classes were extremely effective. I highly recommend it!!!

    Really enjoyed the tailored 3 weeks of onboarding. The trainer asks the right questions and makes you reflect on what your goals are and why. This approach gets you motivated for what you could achieve if you stayed consistent (which they help you with). Oh also, Josh is a really great coach (listens, motivates, keeps you accountable).

    I am a former competitive athlete, and came to Primal Academy as an older, injured, arthritic woman. Ryan has not only improved my physique through training, the classes available, the safety protocols with COVID, and the incredible knowledge has helped increase my confidence and improve my well-being.     I really enjoy training at Primal. A friendly, inviting environment where you can focus. All the staff are helpful and there is a variety of equipment. Their expertise helps you maximize your workouts and training goals. I would recommend Sean O’Brien. He’s highly motivated to get you to achieve your personal goals and is very well versed in physical fitness, kinesiology and nutrition. Highly recommended!

    Fantastic gym kitted out with the best of gear. There’s classes all day and Every type of martial art you can imagine. Knowledgeable coaching staff at hand all times making me feel safe and comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Toronto area to check out Primal!
