Good for the casual drop in but bouldering areas are lacking. Gym definitely needs a bigger variety of holds to get people to renew their memberships. Other gyms like Up the Bloc, Boulderz, and Steel Peak have a large variety of holds/volumes that attract people to come back. The current holds are used repeatedly in each set or shared with the big walls. Another thing is that a big part of projecting problems is having a problem that excites you and having fun aesthetic holds to work with helps a lot with that. The training area could use a renovation too like Hub Markham. Campus board could use feet for warmups for example. No one uses the augmented wall and that space could be used for something else.

Absolute amazing customer service. I was looking to buy climbing shoes, but both my first, second, third choice were sold out at the Markham location. I came to this location in hopes to find one, as the rental costs were adding up. Steven came to help me out, and happened to be one of the owners. He was incredibly nice and understanding, and waived my shoe rentals for 4 visits. He understood I wanted to save money from rental shoes, but had no option due to shortages. Thank you so much. I wish I could give an even higher rating.

The Hub posted Provincials Difficulty this year and did a great job. The Pit was a great spot for a competition and looks like a great place to climb. The facility is clean, bright, and spacious with great high walls and bouldering. Love the Dragon Head! Staff were very friendly and efficient. Covid protocols were in place.

Ohh what an amazing place for kids.We booked a 105min slot in adventure hub in hub climbing which is more fun for smaller kids (5-12) years old .This place has lot of activities and staff is very helpful.Tip: always book your slot for adventure hub online or on phone because of birthday parties sometimes it can be full.

is huge climbing gym and told me that there’s a new kid-friendly section that opened up. Hub Climbing boasts over 30,000 sq ft of roped climbing, speedwalls and bouldering. There are 2 types of climbing - autobelay (climbing with harness) and bouldering (lower walls, no harness). I took my kids to the Adventure Hub where they were harnessed in, and an employee helped them clip in and out of the autobelays (they need to be clipped in for each climb). Each section of the climbing wall had a different theme and bright colours - fossil climb, Tetris wall, circuit board, dual race up the wall, rope ladder and many more. I bought a 5 x 60min pass for $90 and at each visit, my kids can also do the giant slide and the giant jump as well. There’s also a fun AR wall where you can select the theme and difficulty of the climb. My kids were cautious at first, but they got the hang of it after a few climbs. They did really well for their first visit and I am hoping that their confidence increases over time. This is a fun alternative to an indoor play gym and I feel that it’s safer than a trampoline park. This climbing gym is massive and can accomplish novices to expert climbers. The staff is friendly and the place is clean (and yes they do have change rooms). They also have a location in Markham as well. 10/10 I highly recommend this place!

Our visit to Hub Climbing was a disastrous way to end the summer. Four families, including ours, decided to treat our kids to a climbing day before school began. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by terrible customer service and safety concerns. Firstly, the front desk girl was astonishingly rude, which set a bad tone from the beginning. What's worse, the manager, David, accused me of raising my voice at his staff but didn't make any effort to understand why all four families were upset with her. As if that wasn't enough, as we were leaving, a staff member yelled at my friend and me for walking through some pylons. We asked a simple question: why wasn't there a "do not walk" sign in front of the pylons? Their response was that pylons are there for a reason, claiming it's standard practice in all climbing gyms across the country and that we should have known better. When I raised my voice in frustration and asked them to improve their safety measures adding a "Do Not Enter" sign, David decided to kick me out of the facility instead of addressing our concerns. This experience was a complete disappointment, especially on what was meant to be a fun outing before school started for our kids. One star is overly generous for this lack of professionalism and disregard for customer safety.

I came to the hub about a month ago and was not sure if I wanted to write a review because it was my first time rock climbing after the pandemic. I came around 2:45 pm on a Sunday and because there was a birthday party they asked us to wait until all the members were present. The only issue is that we were adults and the others were kids so we had to wait until everyone arrived. When we did this, we only got 2 hours to climb and I don’t feel like it was worth the money because we were charged a full days of climb. The front desk kept calling people to come help him but it really looked like there was a lack in staff/ workers. I then went to another climbing gym and didn’t have any of the issues mentioned. Want to let others know before choosing this gym.

Had a great time at Hub! First time climbing in many years and the staff shows you how to get setup with a small orientation. It’s super easy. Staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. Place is well kept and we went on a Friday night, which wasn’t excessively busy. Many walls have varying difficulties. It’s more of a workout than you’d expect for sure. Would be happy to come back!

This was a fantastic experience! The front desk was very welcoming us and especially David was so attentive and accommodating during the entire climbing session. The height of the walls was impressive and I loved the theatre set up in front of the tallest walls. Who would have thought you could dig out a recess in the middle of the building to make the walls taller? It was an eye opening setup. Hub is spacious, lots of amazing climbing route for all levels of climbers. Kudos to the route-setters! But the most impressive thing is the staff who are so nice and friendly! Thank you for all the amazing memories.

This isn't the biggest gym in Canada. It may have the highest square footage, but to climbers this is meaningless. We care about how many boulders/routes are available to climb, not how much walking space there is. The gym gave off a soulless corporate vibe to me. You take 2 steps without shoes on and the staff comes running over. You can't take your shirt off to climb which is a pointless rule found in gyms that aren't run/owned by climbers. Every gym that has been around forever and has produced tons of great climbers let's you climb however you feel comfortable within reason. Setting wasn't intuitive, didn't have much flow and holds were cheap. Some problems were great but 3 out of any given 5 were forgettable. The mats are also very hard and some of the harder boulders have crux moves near the top of the wall. You will destroy your knees/ankles if you don't down climb everything at this place although there are always plenty of downclimb holds to be found which is nice. Overall it's probably a great gym for sport climbing but the bouldering left a lot to be desired. If the prices were dropped a bit the gym would be more enticing considering all of the other great gyms available in the GTA.

This was a spacious gym with lots of options to boulder or top rope however compared to other gyms, this location is more expensive. As a new customer, most locations make it simple, you the waiver is at the computer followed by payment at counter but this spot makes you sign at the computer only to make you do a second waiver per person at the counter so it is quite a long process, overall it took us approximately 30 minutes to get going. Still a great gym but would hope they improve on having people sign less documents.

I had an excellent bouldering experience here. The gym is very spacious and feels clean and hygienic. As a beginner, I felt that there was a lot for me to work with. My significant other has a membership and a lot of positive things to say about this gym, plus their bring-a-friend perks are pretty nice.

It is great place for anyone interested in climbing. I took my kids there for a supervised climb session and it was awesome! The place is right beside Skyzone and yet I I never noticed it before. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean and spacious. I liked the design and color scheme. Now that I’ve let the kids tried their first session; we will definitely go back for more!

Took 8 & 12 year old boys here and they had so much fun. The only reason they stopped after 2 hours was because their hands got tired. Staff was great and there were plenty of options from auto belaying and bouldering to keep them interested. They want to come back again. If you will be bringing several kids be aware you will need to be an active participant in securing and removing them from auto belays.

They are doing some renovation to the entrance area and the grinding and jacking noises are EXTREMELY loud. Can't be healthy for hearing. Also they construction workers were wearing masks while grinding and welding something and the smell was strong with no doors or windows to ventilate the gym. We enjoyed the climing but definitely a health hazard at this time with the dust, noise and fumes. I would wait until it's all done to revisit

First time climbing, and I could not have asked for a better experience. Yusuf our guide got us ready and explained how to belay safely. He answered all our questions and made sure we were both extremely comfortable. With Covid-19, everybody was wearing masks and socially distanced, and I always felt very safe. The facility is large, and had many different walls to climb. All the staff members were friendly, and were always available to answer any questions or help you out with anything.

My kids decided to explore CLIMBING for the first time – aged 8 & 11 years. I couldn’t have chosen a better place than HUB CLIMBING MISSISSAUGA. The staffs were friendly, supportive and shared all relevant information – filled up a Waiver as a Parent and also completed the ONLINE FACILITY INTRODUCTION. It is a fresh and fun activity for my kids who never did auto-belay climbing. We had initially plan for couple of hours and ended up being there for almost 4-5 hours (they could not stop talking about it for almost a week with their friends). Fantastic layouts, good difficultly levels, and an absolute gem in the Mississauga City for kids and adults who love climbing. Casual Climb, Auto-belays & Bouldering – Beginners to Advanced with properly fit harness and orientation, this facility at Mississauga is decently spacious, bright, clean and hygiene. It is such an inspiration for the kids to watch some real good, experienced climbers trying some real difficulty levels. ONE OF THE MUST VISIT PLACES FOR KIDS IN MISSISSAUGA! Definitely coming back soon.

This gym is really great for those serious climber who practice all 3 discipline This review is about 4 years ago On that moment I gave 5 start But right now I have to take one start less And this is not because I didn’t like a facility or anything about that I’m very serious alpinist and climber for more that 27 years Hub Mississauga is one of the best gym in my opinion in the world Not the best one but one of best one But unfortunately and sadly there is a problem and that is attitude of some staffs “I’m saying again 90% of this gym’s staffs are great , amazing and even they are my friends “ But some of them sometimes are very rude and having the bad attitudes The problem is they are thinking they are gym ‘s police or something like that, which is so annoying for those who wants to have serious and focused climbing session ones My review is not coming from hate so something like that This is just a friendly feedback to the gym’s owners or managers Because we as the climbers love this community , we are not coming to gym for hobby this is our life , we are the keepers That’s why we want to have great and wonderful atmosphere and be the helpful to develop a better climbing nation Because we are responsible Still hub Mississauga is one greatest

The best and largest rock climbing gym in Canada! So many unique climbs to work on and they change very frequently so that every time you go, they're fresh and fun! The price is very reasonable, especially for a full day, and the ambience is lively with many eager climbers with varying skills.

Edit agian, I emailed you with no response. Horrible customer service Edit : yes no problem I will explain. My husband and 3 kids came in for a climb. All my kids came in wearing a mask except for my 2 year old. After we paid, about to start climbing, we were told our 2 year old needs to wear a mask. We were not initially told this when we paid, so we ask for a refund considering our two year old refuses to wear a mask. We were refused a refund so my husband tried to make the best of it. The whole time we were harassed because our 2 year old kept on lowering her mask. Not only that, the staff and the supervisor were beyond rude, circling around my husband and kids, staring at them, harrassing them. My six-year-old daughter is scarred. She thinks the pandemic is caused by the kids according to the staff members. Your staff members were looking for someone to bully. You guys should have given our money back when we asked before we started climbing. It is beyond me how a company in Mississauga can have employees of such nature.

Last week my friends and I went to hub climbing at the Mississauga location! We can’t recommend this place enough! We tried the rock climbing and bouldering and it was so much fun. I first want to address the staff at this location who were super knowledgeable and friendly. They made us feel extremely comfortable and safe the entire time! The equipment were all new and this location the staff took everyone’s safety very seriously. We are definitely coming back and we recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun activity to do!

We did our son’s birthday party at adventure hub climbing. David from hub climbing coordinated with us from beginning till end and made sure the party and guests check in goes smooth. At all times, he was available to discuss over the phone or email, they answer on both. They provided waivers needed to be signed well in advance and can keep a track of how many guests have signed, to keep a track for big party. The staff is nice and friendly with kids and helpful. Overall, it was a wonderful experience at adventure hub and every kid thoroughly enjoyed climbing. Adventure hub has a separate front desk and separate climbing area than the main climbing, which makes it a perfect place for kids party.

We came here today for the first time and I loved it. First off, we were taken around for the orientation by Rhianna and she was sooo patient with us. I was literally panicking and she was incredibly gracious and waited almost ten minutes through my panicking haha. Secondly, the auto belaying thing felt so secure which I appreciate because that was my whole fear! Highly recommend! It's so fun.

Awesome gym, top tier indoor climbing. Lead routes are very long and enjoyable here. Really missing SM's setting, which previously held this establishment at 5 stars- with the new setters, I'm finding the routes kind of awkward now.

Great gym for lead, TR or bouldering. The large open space along with dedicated kids area keeps it from feeling crowed even at peak times. The taller walls combined with more nuanced route setting are excellent for training as its a better blend of technique and endurance (vs just stacking hard crimps or far reaches).

We went for the summer special one month pass for $69/person (2022), and if two come together then take $4 off. It was a really good deal Staff were overall nice and friendly l, except two small hiccups: - after our first month, we were considering to buy another month with the summer special deal, went to the counter to check and was told it’s okay to do so, but we didn’t pay immediately. Came back next day, went to the counter, trying to get it, and we were told by another staff that’s not allowed. Long story short, there was miscommunication and we ended up able to buy that second month. - also, for $4 off for when two come together, twice we bought the pass, they didn’t give us the discount until we asked for it. Otherwise, I do recommend going to hub climbing Mississauga. We did try the special deal for the lead climbing lesson when you buy the summer special pass, the instructor was really patient and friendly. Wish I remember his name Do lookout for the summer special pass!!

I would give a five star, as the rock climbing experience was really fun for the kid, but the waiver signing took too long. I had to sign on the tablet first, but the data didn't transmit. As a result, I had signed all the forms again on the PC. It took probably 20 minutes in total.

Overall, a great gym for a casual climb. On weekends, it could get busy, but there is plenty of space. Unlike the Markham location, it is definitely less hectic and the environment is more controlled (rules enforced for safety). The colour grades are a bit soft but the routes are still fun. Staff are helpful and informative.

The Hub Mississauga is massive. My kids previously climbed at the Markham location, and spent the first 20 minutes checking out the walls and space with excitement and wonder. The staff were very helpful and informative in a way that considered their own individual sense of safety. My kids were engaged with the especially friendly staff member helping them with the safety training when we arrived. There are so many different varieties of routes to accommodate their skill. Of course one tried The Dragon, the other was too overwhelmed by it's immensity but came to cheer his younger sister on. The other climbers there were also encouraging despite not knowing us. The boldering wall has lots of neat holes to try. There is ample space to sit, snack and rest in this VERY clean gym. Staff kept the gym tidy, other climbers were very good about cleaning up after themselves. It was definately worth driving to the Mississauga location of the Hub. My kids can't wait to go again!

  • 5/5 Emma K. 2 years ago on Google
This gym is fantastic! It’s a destination for climbers who live out of town and have other “home” gyms nearer to them, which is a real endorsement. The routes are long and make for excellent training for outdoor climbing (or general fun). Certain spaces are separated, which is a great way to cater to all groups - kids, birthday parties, new climbers and experienced climbers - without compromising any group’s experience. Great value for what you receive.

I was extremely displeased that 5 of the auto belay devices were out of service. I specifically came to Hub to auto belay with a friend, since I knew there would be a good selection of auto belay climbs at her level; however, the majority of the easy climbs were not accessible. There was only one 5.3 and one 5.5 before jumping to 5.6 and above. The other 5.3, two 5.4s, and two 5.5s were “out of order”, with no auto belay device attached. The front desk staff were well aware that we were here to auto belay, that my friend was a new climber, and that I was not belay certified, yet we were only informed that most of the easy climbs were not available until after we had paid. There was no mention of these climbs being out of service on Hubs Instagram page.
