This is one of the best cafe I have visited. It has great environment, great food and service is also wonderful. When I entered the cafe with my friends to complete an assignment, it was completely full, and a bit noisy. But, the sweet waitress at the cafe offered us a place to sit in their restaurant, which was really quite and we stayed there for a couple of hours and they also brought candles as we sat down and overall, it was a great experience and it's an amazing place if you wanna catch up with your friends or get some work done.

Came here on a Wednesday night with a party of 9. Food was above average. Bold flavours for the appetizers and entrees, decent portions. Dessert is way too sweet however. Service is another story. Server was unattentive and aloof. Simple drinks like a glass of wine took over 20 min to arrive to the table, and the appetizers even longer. There was only one server covering 3-4 tables so I can understand if she was having a bad day, but it culminated in a poor experience for my guests and myself. I will not book another event or large party here.

Sud Forno is a pretty solid Italian restaurant close to the Eaton Center. The drinks were tasty, a little expensive. I think that the quality of the pizza is very good for the price. The atmosphere is nice. They have a downstairs area with a grab and go section and coffee, whereas upstairs is more formal dining. They gave complimentary home made sourdough with olive oil which was nice. The biggest lacking was the service. Our waitress didn’t come to check how our food was, and after almost 20 minutes of us being finished, a different waitress came over to package our food for us. The other tables seemed to turn over at a pretty normal rate, so we may have just gotten unlucky.

After being a client forany years, I went to order take out for my wife who just delivered a baby. Upon ordering two pizzas and paying I realized that the cost plus tip was higher than expected. After inquiring about it they called a manager as they didn't know why that appended. She explained that there is an added cost of $2 per item to take out due to the added cost of the box. Clearly absurd as the box cannot cost more than rent, light, heating, staff, plates of a dine in experience. Plus the percentage of the tip now is calculated on the price of the food, plus box, plus taxes... Which makes a difference when you start ordering multiple items. Once we got our $28 pizza, we were surprised by the small size and the burned crust as you can see in the picture. Not the best surprise for a new mom who was hoping for a nice reward after waiting 9months for a pizza with prosciutto. The experience was overall unpleasant and we felt taken advantage considering we spent almost $70 for two small pizzas that I personally picked up and we did not even have a dine-in experience. Take out should not cost more, but actually less as it is often the case in other countries. I don't think we will come back.

Food good. Service awful. My business colleagues and I came here for lunch for a birthday celebration. We were a group of 10 and made the reservation well in advance. We were seated at 12pm and were one of the first in the restaurant. Our server didn’t approach us for at least 15 mins. Our complimentary bread basket did not come for 35 minutes. Our food did not come for an hour. We were watching as many other table that came after us ate and left before we even go our food. When we inquired about the status of our food, our waitress rudely snap “well it’s lunchtime so…”. I did not appreciate the snarky attitude or lack of apology. Our entire meal took an hour and a half, and we were rushing to eat because we had to make it back to work. it is not unreasonable for us to expect our lunch in the financial district (where almost everyone needs to go to back to work in a timely fashion) to take less than 1.5 hours. What’s worst is that ther was an auto grat of 20% when the service was not up to par. For the prices they are charging, and a 20% auto tip, they should do better

It’s a very cozy place to have some food/salad/dessert at any time of the day. I really like the atmosphere here. However, I was a bit disappointed when I saw my latte. My coffee latte didn’t have any latte art, and it just like pour the hot milk into the espresso…..sad.

Great vibes, and beautiful interior design, very aesthetic. The food is not bad, I really liked the Bolognese but otherwise the portions are quite small for it's price. I will be back to try those fried dough balls soon

Weekend gateway in Downtown Toronto and we made a stop at Sud Forno for some dessert. I like the location on young street, it was close to the centre Attraction. The Interior of the restaurant was beautifully designed. Great place to bring a date or for a special occasion. The coffee was good, I ordered a tiramisu which was really yummy, brownie which was on the hard dry side. I will be going back to have lunch or dinner here. This restaurant is pricey, but Worth visiting.

I came to Sud Forno on a solo date before I went to the opera. To be honest, I’ve never done something like that before, so I was a bit nervous. I’m so glad I chose Sud Forno; the folks working on the Tuesday evening I came were super friendly and my waitress was very attentive and checked in often. The custom G&T I ordered (Dillon’s with Sicilian lemon mixer and an orange garnish) was SUBLIME. The Gorgonzola gnocchi was so creamy and delicious that I found myself closing my eyes and savouring each bite fully. The mix of the few flavours was brilliant, and I was so impressed that I was also brought bread and oil to accompany the main entrée. For dessert, I ordered the panna cotta, another mouth-watering dish and the perfect way to end my meal. The cheese was perfection and the sweetness of the jam and berries was the perfect touch. The bathrooms here, on the upper level, we’re super clean when I used them, as well. Overall, such a great experience and I’ve already told so many of my friends and family, both in Toronto and abroad, that this is the place to visit when they’re downtown.

This Italian style bakery pizzeria is located in an old historical build in the central business district one block away from the Queen subway station. It is a great place to order something quick or to go. It can get a bit crowded during lunch. Nevertheless if you like authentic pizza and sandwiches on real bread this is the place to have lunch dinner or a snack. Usually the service is fast and good. However, I don’t like being almost forced to tip when I don’t dine in. The no tip option is not an the machine you need to select a tip of 0%. However, if you dine in a generous tip is well deserved.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sud Forno over the Christmas holidays and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The restaurant was extremely busy, but the staff were able to accommodate us and ensure that we had a great time. The decor at Sud Forno was absolutely stunning. The restaurant was extremely modern and had a beautiful ambiance that really set the mood for the evening. The space was open and airy, with high ceilings and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The color scheme was a combination of neutral tones and pops of bold, vibrant colors, which gave the restaurant a trendy and sophisticated feel. There were different sections in the restaurant, each with its own unique style and atmosphere. There was a coffee bar that was perfect for grabbing a quick bite or a caffeine fix, and an area for desserts and sandwiches that had a cozy, laid-back vibe. There was also a large bar area that was perfect for a pre-dinner drink or a night out with friends. The staff at Sud Forno were extremely friendly and pleasant, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were able to make recommendations based on our preferences. The service was impeccable - our server was attentive and efficient, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. One thing I really appreciated about Sud Forno was the fact that there was a lot of seating available, even for people who were just looking for a quick bite. The restaurant had a variety of table sizes and configurations, so there was always a spot that suited our needs. This made it a great option for a casual lunch or dinner, and I would definitely go back again in the future. The food at Sud Forno was absolutely delicious. I had the pasta dish and it was cooked to perfection. The flavors were amazing and the presentation was top-notch. The portion sizes were generous and I left feeling satisfied but not overly full. Overall, I would highly recommend Sud Forno to anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience. The ambiance, decor, and food were all top-notch and the service was excellent. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving Sud Forno a try. It's the perfect place for a special occasion or a night out with friends, and I'm confident you'll have a great time.

The place is very busy and it’s difficult to get a seat. It is also very loud because of the music hence difficult for a conversation. The macchiato comes in a latte form and the cappuccino is standard. Coffees can definitely be served warmer. The desserts seem fresh and the blueberry pie tasted delicious, not too sweet. Quite a few teas to check out. Reasonably priced.

One of the few spots you can order a coffee after dinner. Most coffee shops close around 5pm but we were able to order coffee from the bar at 8:30pm on a Friday night and sit inside. The decor is cozy and warm. And of course, this place also serves lunch and dinner.

Our server was the best part of our night, was very welcoming and conversational. The atmosphere was neat with some interesting artwork. The food was quite underwhelming. Our group ordered 2 pizzas, an octopus appetizer, and bolognese pasta. The appetizer was unique and flavourful. The pasta was good but nothing one couldn't make at home. The individual ingredients could have been put together to make exceptional pizzas however the thin crust was slightly overcooked and the toppings were loosely piled; this make for nice presentation without the taste to match. The limited beer is much more affordable than the wines which cost roughly $20 for 5 ounces.

The little chocolate stuffed powder donuts are amazing, they’re a must ! Pizza was good, nothing outstanding. It’s a nice spot for a quick lunch if you work or stay in the neighbourhood.

Great vibe in this place. Great service. Tiny portions for the price but good quality food. Pizza was a slightly different style than normal. Comes on a Focaccia style bread. I guess it’s more Roman style pizza. Lots of dessert options. Once again, kind of small but really good. Panna Cotta and Tiramisu were my favourite. Butterscotch pudding was OK. Too much caramel and more of a paste than a pudding. Doughnuts (bombolone) which are their best selling dessert were also OK.

This was a really nice place to go for a special date night. The patio is hidden out of the way with lights and flowers, and the service was friendly and helpful. A little pricey but worth it in my opinion.

Nice Italian restaurant with a fairly large patio in financial district. Prices are Ok, the menu is mostly pizzas + pastas. It would be nice to see actual entrees and seafood but overall - not bad at all. Good selection of cocktails and wines is a plus too.

Food is average. Items we had were good but nothing really stood out as great. The charcuterie was a little basic, with nothing sweet to balance out the savoury items. I had a margherita pizza, which was again, just ok. Personally I would have preferred a little more basil and the crust was a little too crispy for my liking.

Nice spot for a quick bite or to hang out. It does get packed closer to meal times so if you want to get a table get there a bit early before the rush. Food is decent, lots of tables. a bit loud and wish the tables and seats were cleaned more regularly but a good space for a quick lunch.

Dishes were good, balance was off for the lamb ragu gnocchi, made it too salty. Hard pressed to make dish substitutions like the whip cream in the croissant. Overall okay last two times I went to their other location it was amazing though.

The food and cocktails were delicious! I’m giving a lower rating cause the experience was chaos. First the manager asked is to squish together to make room for a reservation coming meanwhile we were already waiting a very long time for our food. The server was nice and apologetic but it took them over an hour to serve us our food. In addition to the manager, and delays they also mixed up 2 orders - a gf and regular pasta orders but we were waiting so long we just ate what we got. To add to that they messed up the bill multiple times. Food though I’ll still say delicious, server extremely nice, experience was just very negative and chaotic

The place is comfortable. You'll need reservations for the bigger tables but we just preferred to sit at the bar as we were just having coffee and snacks. If you want anything from the bakeshop, drop by early as they sell out really fast.

Delicious! I like their mushroom pasta!! Their coffee is unexpectedly good. I think this coffee is one of the best coffee what I had in Toronto. The restaurant mood is also modern and nice. (Walk-in possible place)

Whenever downtown Toronto must place to visit for Italian food. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. The food is tasty, delicious and the prices are very reasonable. We always buy some goodies to take home. This time we got their bread , made to perfection, so tasty I almost ate the whole loaf😋

Beautiful interior with the friendliest staff. The food was good and the entree portions were great as well. I do wish we had bigger portions for the appetizers but nevertheless it was super tasty. The deserts are also super great, my favourite was the panna cotta! They’re cocktails and wine menu are also great. I do want to come back and try out their items in the bakery one day as well.

Great spot to have a breakfast sandwich and coffee when you’re on the go! We got there right as they opened and the service was amazing, really started our day off on a high note. The espresso was also great and the breakfast croissant was simple but nice and light for the morning.

The decor in this restaurant is incredible! The restaurant was beyond packed, and understandably so, our server was running around trying to tend to all of the tables. Unfortunately in this rush, our order was taken incorrectly and we didn't end up getting one of the dishes we asked for. The kitchen was very backed up so it didn't make sense to put in the order at that time anymore. The server felt bad and brought us a free dessert at the end to make up for it. The pasta we ordered (asparagus ravioli) was incredible and deserves 5 stars alone.

Cute little place in the heart of Toronto. The waiters were so amazing and nice. The food was very good and they have so many delicious drink options. It was a little expensive (20 per pizza) but I'd recommend for a date or special outing.

Met a friend there for coffee. Super friendly and helpful staff with a great ambience. Latte is good per my friend. Unfortunately they didn't have honey for my tea, only sugars. So I would have give 4.5 star if I could.

  • 3/5 Chriko R. 5 months ago on Google
Decent latte, just not sure about why it has coffee grinds on the edge of the cup. Never saw this before. Both of our lattes have it. I also understand that a croissant is soft, but they could have used some care when getting it from the display. It's been damaged from tongs. But it tastes fine. I just expected a little more effort and care.

A very lovely high end food experience. I took my Italian friend here and she loves it! The waitress even spoke Italian. The peppers were spicy and I'm not talking regular spice, like omg my mouth is going to fall off spice. You have been warned. The food and peppers were delicious though and I would definitely come back here in the future.

Atmosphere was lovely, however the food was way too salty. We got the Cacio e Pepe and all we could taste was the salt, even my friend who ordered a salad said the salad was too salty. We were all dehydrated the next day even though we drank a lot of water.

My cousins from Melbourne Australia are here for a vacation. Six of us dropped in for espresso, coffee and I had a latte. I must say it was the best latte I've ever had. It's a lovely atmosphere. We didn't eat here but I can imagine the food must be incredible

Great service and the food was good. I ate the truffle pasta and was good, but to make it really delicious I would've put salt or pepper in it to give it more flavor, shame we didn't have that on the table.

Love coming here after work as it is just steps away, between 3-5 is still peaceful to enjoy my drinks and appetizers before heading home. Staff are lovely

My boyfriend and I love Sud Forno for a cozy, Italian date night. Their truffle pasta is always cooked to perfection (al dente) and we always love any bottle of wine we try here. It may not be the newest place in town but it is a reliable date spot for us and we love it for that. Their lunch bar is also great to pop into on a weekend.

The most authentic Italian place in Toronto. I'd like to see more Italians behind the counters. It would be a big accomplishment for the environment and the company itself.

I have been there many times for the grab and go section and always return for their great food! Authentic Italian restaurant. Pizza is freshly made daily. Pastries and coffee are delicious. I especially love their bombolini! I will return for a sit-down meal. Service could have been better though.

A moody space with delicious foods! The service was friendly and there were lots of options! Although the menu was fairly difficult to read. Would definitely come back here!
