I see some bad reviews here and was shocked. This is my daughter's favourite lunch place - close to her school - quick and convenient. She's a fan of cashew chicken stir fry. I gave it a go earlier this week. Delightful. So tasty. The chicken was good, ample cashews, sauce permeated into the rice below, lots of tasty perfectly cooked peppers. Couldn't finish mine - huge portions! You didn't ask, but I'm going to tell you: I sat nearby and watched from afar on a busy Wednesday afternoon. The lunch hour had kicked off and it was packed ... everywhere. The wait time in the line was typical. Orders went in at a decent rate and people seemed to understand where to wait for their pick up and enjoy watching their lunch being made. From my perfect seat, I was able to witness the two men preparing all food. They were in sync, clarified orders, checked with customers on their level of spices and what I admired the most was the smiles between them and customers. It couldn't have been cool working in that fast pace environment back there serving food over a hot surface, to some customers that perhaps had a busy morning and short on patience and were hangry. These two men remained happy to be serving. During this 'lunch & a show', I witnessed a lunch goer dropped her container of lunch in front of their restaurant. While she attempted to do her best to clean up her lunch from the floor, staff from Thai Express were quick to get out there and clean it up. Not even convinced it was their food but they were quick to the rescue. Well done, Thai Express. 5/5! You continue to feed my little girl and I'll be there to admire from afar the occasional Wednesday!

I've ordered a beef pad see-ew: $11.88 + tax:$13.42, Customer service sucks! Management needs to step up by hiring staff that are trained to provide the best customer service. Across all the thai express locations so far no bad experiences with their food. The meat portion size is insufficient, it's a shame for business when it comes down to customer service. Food quality, leaving with a bad experience won't make the business successful. Businesses need to step up their game in order to be on top especially in the food industry. If you are craving for thai food this is the place.

I literally just walked the branch in CF Eaton to purchase basil Thai rice with extra beef. My order was as bland as it goes, the shrimp was not cooked as you can taste the rawness and the rice had no salt at all, requested for extra pepper, none. First time I had such order I wrote it off as a late walk in but today, it’s hardly past lunch time and it was exactly horrible taste.

I loved the food and the green container is so cute. I visited twice- had the pad thai & thai fried rice and both were delicious. The cute container looks small but actually fills up nice; it’s a good portion. If you’re eating it immediately, beware that it may be hot! I wanted to try the pandan iced tea but unfortunately both times I went it was unavailable.

The basil fried rice was as mushy as anything I’ve ever tasted, seasoning is completely off. The cooks are extremely unfriendly. Very silly of me to spend $16 on this.

I don’t really do google review. But This review is for the lady standing behind the cash. No smile, no greeting, all I got was bad experiences. I do understand English is not her first language, but if you want to work and make money, you should understand your customers’ needs. Using your finger to point the food on the menu is not a great customer service. And when you don’t understand, please say something, not just looking at your customers. I don’t know how your company does training. I couldn’t understand. BTW, I visited this location 3 times, she never understood what I was talking about, and not even a smile, just miserable looking. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING HERE. RUN!

2023.11.10 Chicken Pad Thai which comes with bean sprouts, eggs and tofu is just very sweet with no salty and no sour flavours; the rice noodles are soggy from too much sauce. It could be called soupy since several tablespoons of the sauce are parts of the dish.

Sad I didn't get a green container but a white styrofoam one. Thai express is a favourite but this time, the pad Thai was bland.

I have gone to many thai express restaurants and have enjoyed many tofu pad thais. This location is the worst place to get pad thai. I was presented with bright red/orange noodles that had zero flavor. It was essentially rice noodles covered in oil. It cost 15 dollars after tax. I will never go to this location again. I wish I read the reviews before ordering from here. It looks like the owner has read and left messages for all the reviews. So many reviews say that the food is bland. Yet the owner continues to allow such bad food to be served.

Ordered a Pad see Ew, which tofu and noodles. I saw them using the same water to boil the pasta and to boil the beef. I ordered Tofu because i dont eat meat and my plate tasted and smelled like beef. Will never go here again and please spare your money and go somewhere else.

I haven’t had a more worse experience at Thai Express before. I have ordered at other locations before and have never experienced such horrible customer service. Long story short, I ordered chicken fried rice for me to see after that person who took my order put through the order as veggie instead. I went to speak to the other cashier to see if anything can be done and he simply pointed at somebody else. I asked him if there is someone I could speak to or if he could help me to get it fixed. And he said because he didn’t take my order that he couldn’t help me. That is absolutely ridiculous. If something as this cannot be handle in a proper manner, I can’t imagine the other experiences. On top of this, the food is not what I was expected. No pineapple, but a ton of basil, carrots, broccoli and cabbage. The flavours were totally different than other locations. It’s like they’re trying to fusion the flavours and it’s not working. Honestly, save your money and go to any of the other places in the food court. This place is not worth the trouble.

Definitely not bad. I'm not usually a huge fan of these quick meals. I was taking a chance as I heard the gas powered whooshing as soon as I got to the food court. This intrigued me. As for the 1 star reviews, my chicken pad see ew was just the right taste, the rice noodles were chewy and not soft, and you can taste the power of the wok (that charcoal BBQ style you only get when the wok is strong enough and the cook works it just right). Portion was large and the balance of protein was there. I would've liked a bit more greens though. I was able to have the older gentleman behind the wok, he seemed to have more experience in the heat. I think the consistency is hard to manage given the time of day and how long the cook had been in the searing heat. My arm would fall off if I had to do that so give them credit. Overall satisfaction for a quick hot meal.

Food is alright, very salty depending on what you get. I recommend their vegetarian dishes over all else as they tend not to cook their meat protein choices the best. The Basil Fried Rice I had today was super salty, but otherwise alright. Then again I was pretty starving when I ordered it. It’s a shame that they haven’t been able to live up to many people’s standards, I think if they just managed their restaurant better, installed a sneeze guard (crucial, coming from someone who works food service), and got better training with customer service, they could drastically improve their reviews. For now though, it was edible, but I couldn’t finish it. Hopefully my next visit here changes my mind.

They sell, these wings in 3, 6, and 9 pcs. But offer the same amount of sauce for each varied quantity. So I asked the guy and he said NO, I got the 9pcs, he said it costs $1 how does that make sense?

Eaten here a few times. Most dishes cooked fresh in front of you. One of the healthier options at the food court. I don’t get the bad reviews it’s food court Thai, of course I’ve had much better Thai food elsewhere lol. It’s not amazeballs but pretty good with large portions you can share.

so surprised at everyone giving it 1 star ... this was honestly the best thai express i've ever been to (and it's usually my food court go-to, so i've been to quite a few). i ordered the thai soup (as i always do, haha <3) with beef and they absolutely LOADED THAT BEEF. probably the most generous portion of protein i've ever gotten in a food court meal. the soup itself wasn't too complicated (i too love complex broths but sometimes we want it plain and simple...) and warmed me up in this unforgiving weather !!

Worst Thai Express I’ve been to. Food prep area was discussing and needs a visit from CFIA. Staff was unpleasant. Had the General Thai Chicken: the chicken was soggy and tasted like it had been reheated a dozen times. Veggies tasted old. And it was served very sloppy. Very disappointed with this location.

don’t usually do reviews.. but this Thai express was so bad.. i should’ve read the reviews before ordering. I got the curry chicken and sadly most of the chicken pieces were raw, and some of them had a weird brownish color… paid almost $20 and didn’t even eat any of it…i tried to ask the guys cooking to fix the meal but they just wouldn’t do it. not even a sorry. terrible service. I hate doing this but don’t bother ordering here.. it’s not like any of the Thai express locations you’re used to!

First time and unfortunately last time here. We ordered the chicken noodle soup & the general Thai beef on rice with 2 rolls as a combo. The chicken soup was bland, I had to season it at home. The beef was too heavy on the other hand, the flavors weren’t balanced. I’m used to Thai food being healthy, light, and full of delicious flavors. This unfortunately wasn’t a good experience. One last thing I didn’t appreciate was the packaging for the Thai beef which was neither non-compostable nor non-recyclable which matters to me. The lady who took my order was kind and helpful, & the imperial rolls were good.

I ordered Thai Fried Rice Beef Basil. I got Fried Rice Chicken, NO BASIL NO BEEF! The lady taking my order wasn’t listening and paying attention. She just wanted to take the money I guess because it was end of the day.
