Sumach Espresso

Cafe

👍👍 I Loved This Coffee Shop! It is very cozy. Situated on a corner adjacent to a park Sumach Espresso is very charming. The food on offer was a collection of classic cafe helpings. I had a butter tart, which was delicious. I had a cappuccino which was so good I drank it too fast, so I grabbed a brew... People often mention coffee, cafe, great, milk, good,

Stumbled upon this place randomly and I’m glad I did. I walked in and was greeted by the the sweetest staff. There is ample amount of seating available within the cafe and outside. Decided to try the cappuccino & paired it with a carrot cake. The carrot cake was delicious. I really enjoyed the short time I spent at the cafe!

a delightful little cafe on SW corner of Sumach and Shuter streets, with minimalistic yet beautiful interior. espresso bar offers a variety of drinks (lattes, americanos, etc) - there are also breakfast pastries, cookies and sandwiches and some cold bottled drinks. wifi for customers, tall chairs/tables along windows facing north and east, and a couple of regular tables for those wishing to stay a bit longer to enjoy the cosy atmosphere. some super cute handmade merch, and little free treats for your pooch if you step in during your morning or afternoon walk - the place is definitely dog friendly. very popular with the local community, I highly recommend it!

I Loved This Coffee Shop! It is very cozy. Situated on a corner adjacent to a park Sumach Espresso is very charming. The food on offer was a collection of classic cafe helpings. I had a butter tart, which was delicious. I had a cappuccino which was so good I drank it too fast, so I grabbed a brewed coffee as well. And it too was excellent. The interior is very nice, and offers plenty of seating. And there are a few seating options outside on the patio. Overall this cafe is wonderful! It's worth a trip over if you're not in the Corktown area.

I happened to find this lovely place while I was on my bike riding plan from west end to the east side. I loved the way people were hanging out there! The coffee was really good and the prices were totally fair! Keep it up! 👍🏽

I only run in here when my Cream in the fridge go's bad. I remember the original owners, nice guys, haven't seen them. Its a nice atmosphere, but never have been crazy about the coffee here. The Medium Dark roast tasted like it was sitting in a Vat for hours and was way to strong..

Came by to get some coffee and work done. It's tucked in the neighbourhood, among the residential area so I don't think I would have noticed if I hadn't looked it up prior to visiting and that made it even more of a vibe! Staff (Derek?) was awesome, thank you for your hospitality. I noticed that some were regulars and he was recommending shows on Netflix. I frequent Starbucks and other franchise cafes but this connection and personable experience is what makes small neighbourhood cafes so special. I'm definitely coming back for more.

I have been here two times so far. Barista was friendly. I love cozy seating area and patios with plants. I got a Flat white with soy milk which is amazing. Good amount of milk, and espresso is strong nicely. I also had coffee loaf together. Totally awesome.

The hot chocolate I had was more milk than anything else; I felt like I was drinking hot milk rather than a cup of hot chocolate. However, the location is great and so is the atmosphere for a meet up or to hang with a friend!

In my view, one of the best places to grab coffee in Toronto. There is always a queue – and with good reason – even though this cafe is a bit hidden. In the warmer weather, they set up a small patio space which is great for people-watching.

Nice coffee shop across from the park. Good lattes and iced coffee. Doesn't really do speciality coffees/different beans but their roast is nice. Nice outdoor space where you can watch dogs play in the park.

Sumach Espresso is awesome! The staff are super friendly and efficient. The owner, Mike, always stops to chat. Everyone's always in a good mood and make the customers feel welcome. The coffee is excellent and the food is great. It's my daily go-to Cafe. I love the place.

I was visiting the area when I saw this café. It was so cozy inside, I wish I could have stayed to take a seat. I ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream to-go. The people that were working there were kind, attentive and efficient. I'd absolutely come back :)

This neighbourhood café is delightful. I have spent hours sipping an oat milk latte on its patio in the summer and as the weather becomes colder, the café's interior is cozy and inviting.

Decent coffeee shop, we get our morning coffees and croissants there often. Pastry often doesn’t feel fresh though (as if they were brought in the night before), coffee is good and has gotten even better over the last couple of months!

Great coffee shop! This place had one of the best peanut butter cookies I've ever had! Their butter tart is also incredible. I'd highly recommend!

Your favourite local coffee spot for Regent Park. First off, great coffee, secondly, great staff and a nice chill vibe always with good tunes playing.

Started going here regularly 6ish months ago. Still one of the highlights of my morning. Staff are friendly and quick to take and make your order. Breakfast sandwiches are tasty and well priced. Bonus: they have some out door seats to enjoy your coffee. Definitely recommend if you are in need of a no fuss café.

Best latte I’ve ever had. I took a caramel latte with oat milk and it was delicious. The mushroom breakfast sandwich and chocolate croissant were super tasty. Also the service was great, the employees get along really well which makes the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Will go back for sure !!

Just had my first beverage there, a mocha cappuccino, and it was great. Sat outside on their little patio, and enjoyed myself watching the world go by. A little corner gem in a quiet neighbourhood. Thanks again!

Consistently great. Giving it a four star, for some reason, though may come back and up that. My most visited espresso spot in the city, purely down to geographical convenience whilst at work, however I wouldn't keep going back if it wasn't top tier.

I’ve been coming here for years since they opened. Amazing coffee, always consistent. They have such courteous employees and I’m never disappointed. Some of the best coffee in the city for sure!!

Quality and excellent service all around. I was bored of timmies and a friend took me here. I'm not going back to timmies. Great lattes and snacks.

They have the best tasting Iced Americano I have ever tried in the city. The staff was very friendly and I love the ambiance of the cafe. Definitely will be coming back whenever I’m in the area.

Warm service and vibe. While having your breakfast, enjoy the yellow and red falling leaves of autumn. The apple cider and the vegetarian sandwich were a yummy combo. If you are looking for a cafe spot to do work, definitely try it out. You will enjoy your time in Sumach Espresso.

Fantastic neighborhood cafe. They do a great selection of iced teas made fresh that are my favourite thing in the Toronto heat.

👍👍 Visited here a few years ago. And recently back to have breakfast again! It is a lovely space filled with nostalgia of old-school deli and restaurants.
