I’am currently staying at West Park after a motorcycle accident. I’am disgusted with this place. DO NOT send any loved ones nor family members here. The air quality is horrible,No ventilation what so ever. You cannot even open the windows to get fresh air. They have 4 people in a small room (isolating). The place is dirty and falling apart with infestation of fruit flies. They don’t change your bedsheets until isolation is over. Despite having drainage from my wounds. This facility should not be open at all. These are peoples health and mental health they are playing with. Not sure how the staff sleep at night knowing how patients are living. Upon arrival from the hospital I was given misleading information from all staff. The doctors and staff are very unprofessional. If you call them out on their mistakes all they could say is “oh sorry”. They made up a 7 day isolation period where you are not allowed to leave your room even if you get a negative test result. As per Ontario health website it is advised that patients should get refresh air and should only isolate for 5 days. This place has added stress/anxiety in addition to my pain that I’am experiencing because of my accident. I give this place a NEGATIVE 5. I read the reviews before coming here and I’m a man of giving chances so this is why I came here regardless of some of the bad reviews that was left. Boy I wish I would have listen as everything that was written horrible about West Park I experienced. PLEASE AFTER READING THIS FOLLOW THIS REVIEW. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE I WOULDNT SEND MY WORST ENEMY HERE !!!!

I am appalled at how WPHC went about the tender process for patient entertainment arms. We are the only Canadian Manufacturer of spring arms for hospitals and patient entertainment in Canada. THE ONLY ONE. We spent 100's of hours on the project with WPHC....Just to get slapped in the face as a Canadian Manufacturer. In the end, WPHC sourced FOREIGN made product. Selecting foreign over Canadian WPHC...Horrible!

I have a loved one at West Park and today when I was leaving the room there was a patient laying helplessly on the floor. He looked between the age of 60-70 years old. It appeared that he had fallen off of his hospital bed. The injured man was on the floor for at least 15-25 mins. Staff at this facility clearly don’t care nor look after their patients, as these patients families at home think they are being looked after. West Park should be ashamed and embarrassed. I don’t know how this place is still opened.

If there was an option i wouldn't even give 1 star to this facility. Horrible place and worse staff anyone can experience in most vulnerable time of their life. Especially Mary nursing vordinator on 3rd floor ext 410- she's very unprofessional she goes and yells at family in front of patient adding additional stress/anxiety to the patient. My father was there 3 days and his health deteriorated from how nursing treated him how careless the nurses were and when my dad fell due to negligence from nurses they made the patient call the family himself while he's not even able to speak. Overall it was the worse experience of my dad and family. Stay away

My grandfather is staying in the long term care facility at West Park. He is very well cared for. When I visited, his room/ bathroom were neat and clean, just the way he likes it. He was well groomed, he looked very healthy and the staff interacted with him as though he were family. They speak his language, and they obviously care very much for him. He said he liked the food, and he liked being there- which is huge, for him to choose not to be at home. I know here in Ontario health care workers are given barely any time per patient for things like personal care and grooming, but he was obviously well-cared for. Thank you to the nurses, social workers, staff, and volunteers. Your efforts and excellence in care show.

First and foremost ANYTIME you have a loved one going into a facility like this you need to understand that this won't be easy on them and you. Ask yourself what type of people will be attending to your loved one while your not there and MOST importantly OFF-PEAK hours... All and all I believe the work being done at this facility or any facility in this sector is VERY HARD. Perfection can NEVER be attained... hwvr EXCELLENCE can be strived for. Staffing I'm sure is issue consistently, so after 3 months of my widowed elderly mother spending her time there after a hard fall, I can say that there's been a few interactions with specific staff that we could've done without. However there's one person I'd like to acknowledge for their consistent follow-up and attention to detail when it came to any and ALL issues BIG or SMALL regarding my last living parent. After decades of entrepreneurial experience and interviewing people its RARE to find staff that have the ability to read situations and be able to act EFFECTIVELY in high risk and emotionally charged circumstances. Angela LaPonte is a HUGE asset to WestPark HealthCare as she has been able to navigate not only issues surrounding my Ma's rehab but also her attitude which can be challenging at times especially when someone is dealing with new challenge. THANK YOU 🙏🏽 I'd also like to recognize the people doing the work with my mothers injury as they really made a difference in her rehab process THANK YOU 🙏🏽 Physio support care staff & Occupational Therapist Caroline, Grace plus the Rehab assistants Monir & Sarah.

My mother has been in the West Park Long Term Care Centre for the past 5 1/2 years. I wish to commend management at the facility for the extraordinary work they have done since the onset of the COVID pandemic to ensure the health and safety of the residents. Although the facility was initially hit hard by the pandemic, on-site management worked tirelessly and diligently to curb and eliminate the spread of the virus. Moreover, on-site management is now successfully changing the culture and environment at the facility. It is now a teaching centre attracting high calibre students who benefit from the expertise and experience of existing staff. A number of new staff have been hired, mainly PSWs, who are impressive not only in their level of competence but in the approach and attitude they bring to the facility. They demonstrate kindness and caring towards the residents at all times. They have expressed to me how much they love their work and how privileged they feel to be in a position of helping those more vulnerable than themselves. Finally, I also wish to recognize the dedication, commitment and hard work of the long serving staff each and every day, and especially during the very difficult months of the previous waves of the pandemic. I am grateful to the on-site management team as well as the medical team, and the extraordinary staff who care for my mom each and every day. Rachele - November 22, 2021

My dad was there for rehab right in the middle of the covid pandemic. It was really hard as we could only visit him twice a week and only for a short while. It particularly challenging for my dad as he was wheelchair bound for the first-time and feeling depressed, however, his stay there helped him a lot. The rehab team (PT and OT) worked wonders and showed him how to move around and be independent (as much as possible) and that really worked out well.

Home so far seems great during the daytime night hwvr interns and disgruntled employees are left to manage patients. THE BIGGEST ISSUE I HAVR COME ACROSS is the parking fees and the AGGRESSIVE TICKETING that seems to be VERY MOTIVATED to fine ppl that are coming to visit loved ones WHICH I FIND DISGUSTING. The board here NEEDS to revisit this arrangement with “PayforParking” as they are abusively ticketing people that even have purchased monthly passes. If I have a loved one that there and I pay for a $110 monthly pass and give it to my partner or sibling to visits our parent and the pass doesn’t have a plate# on it for that SAME reason then this company has NO RIGHT to blatantly ticket for the purposes of a $49 fee that’s UNREASONABLE. I’m here on a Saturday and I see 4 cars 2 of have passes that are ticketed. Pathetic and honestly boarding on abuse as these people are here to visit their loved ones. This isn’t a club or a hotel downtown for God sakes it’s a centre for people with health issues West Park healthcare you should embarrassed as you have employed a disgusting agency that has no empathy for the type of people using your premises.

Just had my entire family vaccinated here with their second dose of Pfizer. All staff members were friendly and efficient. Kudos to them for updating their guidelines so quickly. The whole process was seamless. Thank you to the entire staff!

Rude staff, very dramatic response (about the President of the United States) from Angela supposedly she manages this place, with her attitude I don't know how!! I see others responding on how rude these people are. I called asking to speak to my mother and they could not even verify with her that I was her daughter. Stupid.

I had a sleep study done at West Park at the end of September 2020. The sleep study facility is very nice. The beds are comfortable and the spacious room was immaculate. From arrival to departure the next morning, Renee took extremely good care of me. She was friendly, attentive and genuinely concerned for my welfare. Thank you Renee.

Pathetic people provide pathetic service in the West park hospital prosthetic and rehab section! They call themselves as a problem solver!!!!!! Finally I had a chance to take home the prosthetes. From the parking lot the prostetic office called me back and ordered me to pay for the prostesis or return it immediately! I have returned it immediately and left the hospital without the prosthesis. ( For some reason they did not process the payment for it!) Stay away from this bunch of incompetent loosers

Showed up for my 2nd dose vaccination as an eligible frontline healthcare worker (as per their website & government regulations) only to be turned away because it "hasn't been 12 weeks since my first dose", even though this goes against provincial guidelines (which other clinics that are booking in second dose healthcare workers are competent enough to follow)....I saw the list the staff was carrying which provided a list of 16 week period second dose exemptions printed straight from the government's website, and next to the term "Frontline COVID-19 Healthcare Workers", somebody wrote "12 weeks" in pen...very professional huh? If you're going to blatantly ignore provincial rules and make up your own rules, then at least have the courtesy to put it on your website (nowhere does it say 12 weeks for healthcare workers, rather just that second doses will be provided to eligible healthcare workers) so people don't waste their time and take time off work only for it to go to waste because this clinic can't seem to follow simple instructions from the province. This is in addition to the attitude from majority of the staff, who turned away eligible healthcare worker after eligible healthcare worker, is this how these people treat the staff working front line and dealing with COVID+ patients all day? I should also say there were 100 unbooked appointments for the day so limited doses were not an issue either. Bottom line I wouldn't recommend anyone visit this clinic if they're expecting a smooth vaccination. Better off going to one of the well-run mass clinics because for whatever reason this place isn't competent enough to follow protocol from the government and does whatever they feel like on the fly.

Staff was very rude to me on this particular day, you have to worry for the safety of your family when visiting hours are finished and you go home. The nurses seem to save up animosity for after visiting hours which is then redistributed to your loved ones in various forms. I witnessed a patient waiting 90 minutes for their prescribed medication. Please help me bring awareness to the wickedness happening at this forsaken place.
