This is a dysfunctional organization which has no security measures in place. I went there on Feb 15th as a guest as my friend highly recommended and I wanted to give it a try as it looked like a highly reputable place. After a 1 hour class, we went to locker rooms to realize my Birkenstock shoes and jacket was missing, where everything else remained. The reception did not take any steps and didn't actually know what to do. I left the gym barefoot without tank top on a winter day. Follow up was 6 days after the incident. Nothing was reported to the police and no actions were in place for the incident. They didn't even bother to check the cameras, noting it would be difficult. They didn't report to the police because they said it was petty theft. No actions to rectify the issue at all. On the day of, I left the gym barefoot without a coat on and I was not offered anything. They may not be responsible for stolen items but this club has no proper security measures and their customer service is bare minimum. If you want to spend $700 initiation fee and pay $ 107 monthly to be treated like this, definitely do become a member.

Nice facility, yet Incredibly dishonest management that lacks basic decency. I was not allowed even to enter the club as a member and wait for my under aged daughter a month ago, but they've been charging me full membership fee for months, without my knowledge and consent. The whole scheme is very sneaky. At first, they stopped charging the membership fee in March 2020 like all other clubs, as they were completely shut down. However, around May 20th they allowed access to courts (for which they charge separate fee) without providing any other services. However, unlike the rest of the industry, they continued charging full membership in June, without a consent or even direct notice to the members. In my case, it's over a thousand dollars. When I realized a foul play and complained, a really rude and arrogant CEO said Mayfair would never refund membership fees because it was not their fault they were closed. I told her that certainly was not mine, and they should go put a claim to their Insurer for business interruption instead of plunder like this from members. The person I complained to (she said there is nobody above her to complain to) even went to bully me by saying that fees will not be refunded even though no services were provided in months, but I could cancel and/or freeze my services if I don't like their decision!!?? I've been on and off member of the club with my family for the past 20 years, last 7-8 consecutive. Sadly, I watched Mayfair transform from the most reputable sport facility in the city to the entitled, greedy and dishonest corporate monster. It is inevitable that current person in charge will run them to the grounds with the business practice that grossly lacks honesty and integrity. In the mean time, after endless emails and efforts to reason with management, I am only left with a legal remedy. And that makes me really sad.

I brought a list of concerns to the club and they cherry picked which situation to care about and address. I was promised something would be done but not only was that a lie, David Luck dragged his feet after handling the situation poorly. Since nothing was done to accommodate on my end, I owe no one courtesy. Until the year is over or I am let out of that contract, I will be coming back to edit my review with a visual depiction of the people I’ve caught scrambling after angling their phones towards me during my workouts. Don’t come here as a woman that needs a regular gym to use and don’t sign any long contracts that you are uncomfortable with, you’ll surely regret it. Edit: I can’t add media to the actual review itself, so those will be posted separately each time.

Nice club, but hours are not good for a club with such a high cost. Summer hours close at 10pm on some nights. That means you got to be off the floor earlier then that. Not flexible hours. A gym should be open late. The club needs to work around your schedule not you around theirs. Some positives it that it is clean, good environment, pool, tennis and staff👍.

Services are back to pre pandemic levels. Avoid Chesswood due to massive construction on that roadway. Access via Sheppard West.

My favourite Mayfair location. Plenty of courts, friendly staff and made some great friends attending the classes. Also clean and only functional hot tub for men members at all locations.

Fun club for tennis. Squash scene gone but you can hear people grunting and BAAAAPing pickleball. Kindof like Monica Seles on testosterone, fun! An excellent but expensive program for developing young players. If you book about a week in advance you can get a time you like.

When are the going to do something about the flies, right at the entrance and lobby , you have to have Bugs spray to keep them away. Many times I have to walk out to get peace and what is supposed to be a clean place.

We have been members as a family, at Mayfair West for a number of years and find the club immaculate and members very friendly. The staff is truly outstanding as our kids have participated in a number of sports and camps. The swimming and aquatics at Mayfair West is particularly outstanding, largely due to the Deziree Teixeira who routinely goes above and beyond in ensuring all of the swim programs are run smoothly and efficiently. Deziree is not only a knowledgeable and skilled instructor herself but also manages the aquatics program with a great deal of care and diligence. Always approachable and responsive, Deziree is a huge asset to Mayfair West.

There are no customer service. No one answer your mails and phone calls. You have to wait more than a week for a simple request which is not guarantee to be done.

Was a member for 3 years due to Covid restrictions ( vax pass ) I wasn’t able to go there . Meanwhile while everyone was at home and scared, i was the only one going and working out in the gym . Ridiculous policies and still discriminate over non vaccinated people. In the end, lost my business forever and my word of mouth . Bye bye forever

I had a tour of the facilities and everything looked great. The PT/agent who did the tour was awesome too. I was given the rates for initiation fees (which is understandably high) for the Platinum package. A few days later, I was given a call by the agent saying the prices are going up from 1 August and for now, I can $200 off the initiation fees. Still a bit high, so I decided to skip. Then I received an email a few days later offering me $500 off if I enrol in July before the fees go up on 1 August. So I call to finally invest in this still-high-for-me membership which I need to be able to play tennis all 4 seasons. I am told the offer means the prices will go up by $500 in August, and if I enrol now, I would be paying $500 less. A bit offended to say the least at this ugly marketing ploy that put me off altogether. Hence, the 1-star for their marketing and not the facilities or the agent.

😠 I came to the gym tonight. The lady at the front desk was having issue with another gym member. I scanned my membership and wanted to proceed to the gym, Homehr. 🫤 This gym was pretty reasonable for a while, given the perks of the black card membership. However since the beginning of the summer, it has been absolutely crowded with young high-school aged teens that show up in groups of 4 and higher chatting around the equipment. I recently realized that high-sc...
