😠 Alright lets set this straight. This is ridiculous transphobia at the highest level. This is 2022, not 1962. We have come so far and my BIOLOGICAL FEMALE friend is not allowed inside? So, i am a non-binary person who happens to have a masculine moustache. I don’t identify as male but my moustache ?... People often mention staff, night, rude, friend, time, music, security, people, club, Flash,

Alright lets set this straight. This is ridiculous transphobia at the highest level. This is 2022, not 1962. We have come so far and my BIOLOGICAL FEMALE friend is not allowed inside? So, i am a non-binary person who happens to have a masculine moustache. I don’t identify as male but my moustache ????? Allows me inside ????? But my feminine looking friend (without disclosing her identity) is ABSOLUTELY NOT allowed inside. This is completely transphobic, archaic, insane and discriminatory. You made someone cry for no reason, and she just was there to experience queerness and you excluded her. For NO reason other than her visible biology. That is so wrong. Its time to get it right.

Extremely rude and ableist. We were told by members of staff previously that the venue was accessible through the back entrance (as the front has stairs) however when we arrived they refused us entry when a member of our party uses a scooter. The security guard said yes, just speak with him. He brings out this OLD white man and he was extremely rude basically telling friend that she needs to park her scooter to the side and out of the way AKA in the back corner away from everything and stay unseen. Plus their bathroom doors are too narrow to access with the chair. At the end of the day this venue does not want disabled or fat people in their establishment and it ruined our night.

No need to be rude… everyone’s drinking and some may drank a bit too much, but end of the day, we are just trying to have fun. Glasses heart is kinda pathetic… be kind! 🤡 This performer/dancer was extremely aggressive and rude. My friend was cheering for her and being nice to give her a tip while performing. When she got the tip while dancing, my friend just said “show me more” and was trying to dance with her. Obviously it means let’s have fun, let’s dance together, show me a different dance move etc. But the dancer aggressively pushed her away and said “If you give me money, just give it and move on, don’t rub it on my face, I’m not a dog”… then shockingly called my friend the C word…..🤯 This is actually pathetic, as the whole situation can be and should be handled completely different. The dancer’s response clearly showed her self-abasement and how unnecessarily sensitive she is, she could totally just had fun with the situation and move on with her performance. Instead, she chose to be extremely rude about it. I was kinda iffy about coming to this club as there are so many bad reviews saying the staffs are rude and services wasn’t good. Now I know they all true, including the dancer! Even tho the owner always like to respond the one star reviews saying their reviews are “not true”… but hey, I experienced it first hand, ITS TRUE! Just do better…

So much fun. The music, the shows, the service are really good. But the crowd is really great and diverse. You'll make friends easy.

Flash is EXACTLY what Toronto's nightlife needs! Located right in the heart of the gay village, The music is always great, with fabulous performances by some of the very best drag performers the city has to offer. Everyone is super friendly, and it's an all around welcoming environment. I hosted a birthday party there last Saturday for my best friend’s birthday and we all had a great time with the help of the amazing Staff. Special mentions to Ryan at the bar and Kent for being so great by helping me keeping my guests staying happy, and getting me candles for the cake, they are a sweethearts. I highly recommend that you visit Flash if you’re looking for a great time for a night out. You’ll have an unforgettable time!

Update after owner response - Using the excuse something could happen to their coat if they dont check it is also LAME. If someone wants to take their coat off, and then decides they need someone to watch it…id hope they can make that decision alone if they are able to be out at a bar. 🤣 People keep their valuables/ meds / cash in their coat pockets…. Not sure when u guys started this mandatory coat check / belongings hand over … But think of another way to grab cash or annoy people. As for the staff….they r not nice. Door man was very rude and arrogant Whoever was in the chair across from him helping watch the door was also rude. The staff doesnt even make eye contact…they just brush you off. Your response just shows how arrogant you are as well. No wonder the bar is suffering. Different night events like “karaoke” keep getting cancelled cause no one goes! You are charging cover! Plus mandatory coat check And your drinks are hiked up and this is when there are no dancers!!!!! There was some “entry level” drag queen trying to perform while people stare is confusion. Your business will never be success with your attitude. Original Review- Mandatory coat check? Lame. A persons coat is like a purse…holds there wallet and valuables like phones…medication Where do u expect people to put all their stuff? If i dont need my coat and feel I want someone to hold on to it then ill let u know! Dont say its for security either Ur the only bar in the village making it mandatory and the other bars aren't havin knife and gun fights🤣 You guys r great at pushing customers out the door. Just a cash grab…on top of the pricey cover charge. Walked in. Walked out. Place needs an over haul. Total staff replacement and rethink your “mandatory” cash grabs. Not even sure why there is cover when the place is a shoe box with nothing happening. Rude and unfriendly staff. Over priced drinks and cover. Cash grabs. Slow service. Messy Queens. The place is suffering yet they wanna milk ya when they should be grateful anyone even walks through the door. Someone should also fire whoever hires your Queens. Do they not get checked to see if they have talent first? Or if they can even get themselves ready? A man with a beard and a dress on is funny for a few minutes but you start to wonder if he forgot he had facial hair or could he not find the razors. Gives off lazy / frumpy vibes ….i love the Mediterranean look in woman but even they shave it or have it removed. 🤣 I could go to a truck stop and watch a few truckers lip sync for better entertainment.

Not worth going too. Only men are aloud in, very transphobic. Always complaints about security. See the other reviews. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend.

Terrible establishment. Wouldn't let me in because I use a scooter. They have a back door that's floor level but say that they "don't have the facilities to accommodate me" A. You are assuming my ability level *as in assuming I can't get off my mobility device to use the bathroom B. When I told you I could get off my scooter to use the bathroom you were complaining about my device being "in the way" and telling me I need to park out of the way. Just admit your team doesn't like dissabled people and call it a day. 0/10 avoid this ablelist nightmare.

Everything about this place is low profile. We paid 20$ for entry. The music choice is bad & the dancer .... No servant or bartender attended us for 30mins. We spoke to the receptionist about it but he didn't even care. I don't recommend it

I'm giving a 4 star because I've always loved coming to flash I don't live here anymore however I didn't leave thinking ill be back mind you there's quite a lot of new dancers and I'm sure covid has done a number on business. My complaint I live in a very small boring town across the country now so I was quite excited to be visiting especially flash. I wasn't expecting to barely be approached the dancers seemed to be at bars or sitting with older men I'm just assuming I wasn't approached because I was there with an old friend maybe they thought I was in a relationship with or that I was young and they figured I wasn't interested? I had money to spend. Their loss I guess 🤷 I hope this doesn't occur next time I'm here on vacation.

The club vibe is good as always the music. But the security and bouncers are rude and doesn't follow any rules. The club get crowded and then randomly they kick guests out. This means they just care about guest fee to enter. I was going washroom inside the club and the security push me hard and drag to exit. They lose a guests of 6 people for future. Never visit this place and recommend no one should visit unless you don't care your money. Thanks

It was a really well decorated club. Drinks were affordable and they have coat and bag check. The only problem for me was the bar guy kept Trying to take my drink. I’m a sipper and it takes me a while to drink. Other than that I really enjoyed my self during Karaoke night. Please invite me back and I will update review. I probably will be back once I come back to Toronto. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The picture is my friend sanging her face off.

Visited here during the covid pandemic 2020 and can say they are above professional and definitely bring a "splash of class" to the village compared to other bars. Highly recommend if you are looking for a safe and fun place to connect with your friends and meet beautiful dancers.

Approximately 5 years ago security outed a close friend to me and several members of our group who did not know them in deadlife. Assuming management and and staff had changed since then, we decided to go for Karaoke recently only to find the club had developped a new problem (though judging by other reviews, the transphobia persists). The software they use for karaoke is inaccessible, and not all the hosts provide the option of direct request. A couple weeks later, we called in advance to find out if the venue was accessible, and were told that while the bathrooms don’t comply with accessible building standards, there is an alternative entrance that is compatible with some scooters and wheelchairs. Regardless of this, upon arriving, instead of listening to a disabled person advocate for themselves, they spent a lot of time informing them of what they could and couldn’t do as a disabled person (which also doesn’t comply with most businesses accommodation protocols). They also haven’t been helpful in their responses from our group which after reading reviews and responses to them, appears to be a pattern of behaviour.

This is the Mecca of entertainment in the Village!! A fun time no matter what time of the week you visit!! Was there last weekend and it was again an amazing fun time. The staff is fun and energetic keeping the vibe happening!! It has that welcoming feel as soon as you're in the front door!! Drink, dance, socialize or just stop by and be memorized by the whole vibe,... And if that doesn't suit your fancy you can always hear upstairs to an equally fun time... But that's for another review 😜

Flash has totally changed their environment now and has great events weekly. The guys moved upstairs to a more intimate area. You have to check out their Thursday nights with a fun jockstrap night upstairs for the guys, with a drag show and music downstairs on the main level. This is a new Flash like you may have never seen before. I’m so glad that it’s open now for everyone to come and party. I’ll definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun night, and an even better weekend.

This place is very strange. The calibre of the performers is terrible is comparison to the other venues the area has to offer. Im not sure if they are desperate or just inexperienced at finding talent. But the problems don't start there. They start at the door. I believe they were trying to charge $10 or $15 cover plus a mandatory coat check with a charge of $3 (so be prepared with lots of pockets or layer sweaters - I think they only make you remove one layer). Thats with no strippers. Just a scary queen. According to the owners response on other posts the mandatory coat check is to prevent people from stealing them from you. If you dont want to leave your coat AND bag they will kick you out. Drinks are also very over priced. Especially with cover and the mandatory money grab. Watch your change as well….was given a torn bill they just stapled together and snuck in to change at the bar. I dont think I would go back in its current state. The bar feels rough the staff was short and slightly rude. For a bar with nothing happening they sure do milk your for money. If they scrap the mandatory coat check and the staff gets a lesson on service then I would give them another shot. The owner should take the constructive criticism instead of constantly defending the bar and shooting down negative reviews. Clearly your bar has issue and you need to change your practices.

Giving this 1 star just because of extremely rude security old ugly guy ! We were waiting the line at Halloween night( Saturday 28 Oct) ! It was packed , line was insane but we decided to wait almost 1 hour. One sassy twinky approached that old security guy and beg him for enterance without waiting the line , it was happening in front of us ! He said pleaseeeeee daddy let me in , I am begging you … I don’t know what’s their deal but this is unfair and disgusting! Shame on you man . When we asked why you let him go , he said very aggressively wait your turn ! Well sir !!! This one star for you , enjoy it !

I visit Flash quite often as I enjoy the music, ambience and drinks. This weekend on Friday, May 5th I was at Flash to have my usual sweet time. Unfortunately I dropped my wallet in the club. I had no clue that I lost my wallet until I saw a message and a miss call from the head of security Mr. Kent. I could not express in words how much happy and relieved I was reading the message. I responded back to Kent and he immediately answered my call. Kent was very kind and notified that he has my wallet . He confirmed that he will handover the wallet to the bartender from whom I could collect it. Next day around 3.30 PM, I visited flash and collected my wallet from the bartender. I sincerely thank Kent, all other security staff , bartenders and other staff members for being very professional, caring and kind. This truely portrays best customer service that flash offers to people who visit the club :). Huge big thank you to Kent for being my superstar and to save my wallet. Kudos to you :)

Visiting from NYC and looking for a lovely place to hang out with my gay men friends, but after reading the many negative reviews and the alledge no women policy i am utterly baffled. Is this an LGBTQ+ institution or something else in disguise? Anyway, we will pass. I am sure Toronto has way better to offer that are inclusive.

I go to Flash regularly (don't judge) and always have a good time. The place is clean and the staff are friendly and efficient and I dare say I consider many of the staff, patrons and yes, even the dancers, as my friends. It's a fun bar where you can have a few drinks, catch up with friends, and oh yeah, check out some hot men if you're so inclined. ;)

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. It was Latin Night and I went there with my fiends last night. The server wearing white T-shirt poured water on the cell I was holding and on my pants and on my shoe. The cell on my hand was wet and my right leg and shoe were soaking wet as well. It was a busy night but nobody even came to give me a towel or a napkin. The guy didn't even said sorry or something. Like nothing happened. Totally ruined my night.

Flash is THE place to go on Church St. The music is always perfect and fun. There is a different show/event every night of the week with fantastic DJ’s and top notch Drag Queens. The staff are all amazing and friendly. It’s my go to bar and my fave downtown spot. Come for a fun night of dancing, drag and drinks. Ask for Darren’s Raspberry Mojito, it’s delicious! And they have an amazing menu of specialty shots too.

The place is very good, the Latin atmosphere is what one looks for, but unfortunately the customer service is terrible. The man from the bar specified the bar in the back. The man is very rude, he has no empathy with people and to make matters worse he demands a tip. I got a bad look because of the man, he must understand that a tip is not required if it is not earned with empathy and respect, I was not the only one I could see that he demanded a tip from several boys

I went to the dancefloor and I lived the worst experience with a guy from security, when I entered the party with my backpack, they never told me that I had to leave it in the cloakroom. The security guy mistreated me pushing me and yelling at me that I had to go out with an aggressiveness and feeling discriminated against for being an immigrant without knowing the language perfectly at the time. I hate this place and I don't recommend it at all! 👎

There’s always a party going on at the “new” Flash!

I don’t know what it was, but me and my friend were asked to use a different washroom and when we did, an employee asked us to leave the building with no reason. I think they are either racists or just don’t like women in general. PLEASE GO TO ANY OTHER PLACE ON THE STREET. THERE ARE TONS OF OTHER GOOD PLACES WHERE YOU WILL BE TREATED WELL.

Flash is one of my favourite places on Church Street! The interior is beautiful and clean with an amazing sound system, stage and dance floor! Everyone welcome with reasonable drink prices and friendly staff. My favourite LGBTQ+ event happens there (FML Mondays) every Monday at 10PM! DJ, Dancing and Drag Shows! Be sure to check out the their weekly roster with special events like karaoke, live music, sing-a-longs, open stages and more!

In my opinion, this club is the best club in town to go to on a Saturday night. They do a Latin Party there and maaaaan let me tell you, the vibe, the music, the people in there are amazing!!!! You can dance a lot, the drinks are not that expensive and the staff is ok. The cover is $10 and I tell you it is worth it. If you like dancing this is your place (just to clarify: it's a Latin Party but there is no salsa, merengue, or anything like that. It has normal popular music like Shakira, Maluma, and other mainstream artists)

I have come to this club many times because of the Latin Night on Saturdays. However, the way Latinos we have been treated lately is just awful. Security is very rude. Yesterday, one of our girl friends was doing the line, she lit a cigarette and one of the security guards took her from the arm and took our friend out. We understand is not allowed but that's not the correct way.

Horrible treatment. They kicked us out when one of my friends fell off the stage while dancing. They didn't even allow us to get our coats and belongings. The staff are friendly and have treated me with respect. It's not accessible to people with need of mobility devices, like most places that were built prior to the AODA enactment. It's not always busy, but it's clean and the music is good. During Latin nights it gets packed, if you like the music and the crowd it brings, it's a fun spot to have a fun night.

It was my first time last night and one of my friends was kicked out for "dancing too much" so we had to go to El Convento Rico which was way better. Wish we could get our refunds. Two stars for nice high ceiling vibe (most clubs in Toronto are low ceiling) which makes it look bigger and more inviting. But drag queens weren't as talented (sorry gurls but I respect the hussle). They're sort of in their 40s or 50s and their lipsyncing weren't in sync. Drag queens in Woodys were better and one of them even sings live. And Woodys is free to get in. Security was nice (Asian guy) though but he went grumpy when I had to ask about how to get our refunds.

👍 Good food as always! Convenient. Kids friendly. One star less because in the men’s washrooms there is no arrangement for baby diapers change. I managed it somehow but for a single dad with baby it is not convenient. I hope management would put up something to resolve it. Thank you.
