its a small Art gallery located just beside unionville village, it has some works that has to be seen, also the reception is helpful with the directions, only parking is little full, but it was free for entry. really liked it.

What a fantastic community hub located at one end of Unionville! Includes community programs for children, free washrooms access, and a free gallery space. There's also ample free parking nearby. The Art exhibit area currently features a show by artist Karen Tam. It used spacious and well curated. A great gem to check out. Will definitely be back!

What an amazing little gallery! I visited when the "Gathering Fiction" exhibit was on display and it was absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend visiting. Admission is free.

Varley Art Gallery in Markham. Notable works from the Group of Seven. Please donate. It's a beautiful and quiet oasis just across the street from the main Street. Also have an indigenous collection. It's free. A local museum. Making art accessible. Please donate! There are also classes for all ages. Staff are friendly. Amenities are accessible. Recent exhibitions are modern. Great juxtaposition.

Visited to see "Witness", Canadian art of the First World War. An excellent gallery space in a beautiful area. This exhibit in particular is definitely worth the visit. Amazing works of art and a glimpse into Canadian history.

NO WIFI. Mini art gallery. There was slot of selfie potential. FREE place to enter and look at some art. There was a wedding happening at the time in the private rec room.

Small municipal gallery but still a somewhat-hidden gem! Spent 30 min max here to fully absorb the artwork. You can download and use an app for fun immersive animations. Because of the rotating exhibits, there's always something different to look at. Can't wait to see what's new in a few months' time! Lots of parking around Too Good Pond or behind the shops of Main St Unionville.

Beautiful gallery located in the heart of Unionville. The gallery isn’t very large but they have interesting exhibitions. The current one is about the stories of Chinese immigrants in the past 100 years. Given the large Chinese population in Markham, I think many can relate to these stories. And it’s also a good educational resource for the next generation Chinese + non-Chinese alike. There is also another exhibition with really really amazing flower-art. Definitely worth a visit especially if you are taking a stroll down Main Street Unionville enjoying some leisure time.

Small gallery on Unionville main. Definitely check this out if you’re in the area. It’s free admission and the exhibition changes.

I’m sure the gallery itself is fine but I did not have a good experience with the staff here.

  • 1/5 Amy G. 3 years ago on Google
Agreed with Anna, the gallery is fine. There is around 3 rooms in the gallery and you usually spend 15 minutes taking a look at the artwork (not too much to see so not really worth making a trip if you're thinking about it). However I didn't have a good experience with the staff here and don't recommend this gallery.

Really a beautiful place, if you have a guide you can learn a lot about Canadian history, would recommend.

The exhibition “longing belonging- 100 years 100 stories” reflected on the long history of Chinese immigration. The gallery was doing a great job telling a story of an early Chinese immigrants, and many others who share similar struggles or who are seeing improved situation as a new comer. I found it intriguing and thought-provoking.

👍👍 Some great trails for a short walk with the one you love in green space. Great to chill in the shade of some trees on a hot sunny day to close out the summer or walk the dog!
