Amazing historical site. It's credible of the functionality of the log house. The house has a great collection of old stuff. Learning the Leslie Family and the ties to Streetsville. Also can learn some history of Scotland! Can find ancient Scottish map, clans and families, with arms of their chiefs or heads. Like Mackenzie, Fraser, Campbell, Inverness, Loch Ness, Fort Augustus, Fort William, etc. You know what those names mean, if you have watched TV show: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. The well knowledgeable staff are very nice and helpful.

Beautiful hiking/walking trails through Hewick Meadow. Lovely little museum. Guides are very kind and take all your questions. Very sweet with children. There are some souvenirs and knickknacks for sale also. I got a nice tea towel for my mom!

Great for a quick hike with the dog. This year, the ticks are insane and it's only April. Check yourself and your pet well for ticks big and small.

Lovely grounds, well cared for. Log house was closed when we visited, but we were just there for the trees and scenery. Saw some rabbit fur, maybe remnants from a coyote meal. Don't bring small pets, like the warning sign says.
