Went to Cherry Beach for the first time with the dogs this weekend and it was amazing! The dogs had a blast running in and out of the water. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of the lack of garbage access. We had to leave the area completely to find a garage and you could see others were not as determined and would just leave the used poo bags on the ground.

This dog park is amazing! So much space to let your dog run and play. With access to the water and lots of different terrain to play hide and seek with your canine companion!!! Quite easy to get in and out with very little to no traffic problems. The only issue is the parking lot! It seems that you always have to battle foot deep potholes just to get a spot to park!

Great park with a beach, water, sand, and a view of the downtown skyline. However, there is never any parking on weekends during the summer and cars are double parked everywhere. The good thing is that after 7pm on weekends, the police restrict access to the road to only allow people with dogs in. So summer weekend evenings are quiet and nice. Another downside of the park is that garbage bins are only located at the front entrance. It would be nice to have bins inside the park considering how large it is.

An excellent dog beach for off leash water fun! During the week, it’s full of lovely dog walkers and their packs. During the evenings and weekends, the fur mommies and daddies come out with their pups. At the moment, the water is low and it’s rather rocky, but still so so great!

Great dog park! Super spacious with lots of area to roam and lots of area near the water with easy entry for swimming. Nature right next to the city and quite a popular area with area and city canines. The area is well kept and there are public washrooms nearby if needed. One of the largest dog parks I’ve seen in the city. A decent sized parking area right next to it, what more could you want for you and your furry friends.

Nothing but good things to say. The dog walker community this park has is adorable. There’s water access for the doggos, and it’s a nice walk for owners! There are multiple ways to enter the dog park which is nice. It’s a splendid time, dog owner or not, to come experience the fun that happens!

Large open area to walk your dog with beach access. Large enough to walk with your dog off leash in a circuit and let your pup stretch their legs and jump around in the lake. It even has a nice view of the CN tower and harbour front. Very nearby a snack shack and public toilets. Best in the summer as there is plenty of shade and some benches.

Amazing lake view and marble shore. Sufficient park area for dogs in my opinion and nice trees. I think free parking is availabe as long as you park at normal slot (there are some restricted slot)

My Golden Retriever Argos had the best time running in and out of the water. Beach was clean. My only recommendation would be for more garbage receptacles closer to the beach access gate.

As far as dog parks go, this is the best it gets in and around the Toronto area. I’ve been to basically all of them and this one is my favourite. It’s large, lots of space to run, also to separate yourself from other more annoying dogs (or people lol) and water for the dogs to enjoy! It also has a good truck that’s often there and open (takes cards not just cash too!) Plan to spend awhile trying to find parking though during busier times.

First time I brought my dog to Cherry beach I had no clue if she liked water; let along knew how to swim. I had adopted her at 6 months and only had her for a few days. I was watching all the dogs wade in the water and looked up to see where my girl was...she is tearing through the water chasing a dog that was playing fetch. I guess she liked the water 🤷🏼‍♀️ She was so happy to be running through the waves; playing with the other dogs..the funniest was watching her walk & pee while in the water...she is definitely a special girl...best place ever to cook off the dogs and enjoy watching all the dogs..just be dogs.

Nice off leash dog park that's mostly fenced off, there is an area at the beach where the fence ends at the water, so if your dog swims, they can get out by going around the fence in the water. The dog beach is nice, and theres plenty of space for a dog to run around or play in the water. A few benches around as well, but the trash bins are only by the entrances to the park so you'll need to walk out with any poop bags. Parking can be crowded on weekends, depending on time of day.

We have never had a bad time here. The parking lot tends to rotate well as dog owners leave so if you wait 5 minutes you can usually grab a spot. The beach is clean, the dog owners are respectful and the vibes are good. The drive down Cherry St can be a bit tedious and long some days due to construction, which my dog likes to loudly complain about in my back seat, but it’s worth the wait. You can expect to lose a tennis ball or 2 here, so don’t bring your dog’s all time favourite toy, and understand that some dogs do not want to give up their new found treasures. My dog also loves when I treat him to a few fries from the Chip Truck parked nearby. It’s good any time of day, but we love going for evening swims and taking in the sunset views.

Nice place to bring your dogs. Has a nice large shaded trail surrounded by trees and also a beach right next to the lake where they can play and run free. Make sure you park in marked areas. We saw many cars were fined for parking in a prohibited area that wasn't clear if it was allowed or not.

The gold standard for dog parks in the city. This place has it all, large space for dogs to play, the lake for dogs to swim, large trees to provide shade, paths to walk on, benches to relax on, and great views of the city and lake. It is a beach so expect it to be sandy. If you don't want to get sand in your shoes, walk along the path that runs along the fence to the north.

Beautiful place for dogs to play off leash. Very very spacious; Didn't get to explore the entire place. The little area with the lake has large rocks in the water so it doesn't hurt as bad compared to small rocks if you want to walk in the lake.

Nice dog park for travelers to get their dog off lease on long trips. Encountered a couple aggressive dogs with an owner who did nothing but overall we enjoyed the area a lot and would return.

Amazing off leash dog park, tons of room for the dogs to run around and practically a private beach just for the dogs

We were at this dog park recently (my puppy's first time at the beach) and it was great. We arrived fairly early on a weekend and found a parking spot. Later in the day the parking was quite full and drivers waited for others to leave. Large dog park with plenty of running space for dogs to go on an off-leash walk. That together with beach area allows dogs a great playtime. There are benches interspersed throughout the park. Garbage cans can be found just outside the gates. Dog owners and visitors were nice and helpful.

Amazing beach for the dogs! We go here all summer! Our golden can’t resist the water and this is one of the only areas in the city where he can really get a full swim in with no restrictions! Only issue usually is parking if you go during peak times, it can be very difficult and the parking enforcement is consistently patrolling the areas so warning if you decide to create your own parking!

This park is HUGE, has a full-on sandy beach, bushes, trees, trails... The best off-leash area in the city I've been to so far

Really nice beach to visit!! Would be a great place to kayak or paddle board, a very nice view and there is a lot of space as the beach runs along way down the lake, well maintained, even has a life guard perch not sure anyone was there when I went though. A must see

The Cherry Beach dog park is huge. Sure, it's fenced off but it's so big that it almost doesn't matter. It's also frequented by a large variety of dogs, including some big ones. If you're raising a puppy, it might be wise to put them on a leash at least for the first visit.

Beautiful clean beach and a big off-leash section seperated for the dog beach. There was an ice-cream+snacks truck at the entrance. The TTC bus stops right at the beach, which was very convenient.

The dog park is spread over a huge part of the beach and also has direct access to the beach. It's overall a nice getaway from the city buzz! Would have been nice to have a dog wash area to clean the pets.

Quiet little Beach with less crowd. The best place if you don't get parking at woodbine beach. About 10 min drive. Also picnic benches are available and nice little food truck. Ideal place for a family outing if you want to avoid crowds

I loved it here. Not too busy and lots of parking! Love the off leash area, refreshing to have this in an urban area.

👍👍 I love this dog park and trail! I would recommend trying to avoid peak hours since it does get quite busy but most of the people and dogs I've met here are super friendly and the trails are wide and fenced-in. One of my favorite dog-friendly places in the city!
