Wow simply incredible to experience this. Pictures just don't cut it. The elevator ride down is quick and the tunnel can be claustrophobic but it's something you have to see and feel. The power of the falls can be heard and felt when inside 1 of 2 observation tunnels but going out on the observation deck to see the Horseshoe fall is amazing and yes you will wet. Ponchos provided and just the overall trip was well worth it.

LINES!!!!!! Be prepared to stand in line! Purchase your tickets online ahead of time. With that being said, the experience was worth the wait. To stand below these massive falls was an amazing experience. You'll get a little wet but I enjoyed it so much that we felt we didn't need to take the boat ride to the falls. I recommend it

I had an incredible experience at Journey Behind the Falls! The highlight for me was the viewing platform that offers a breathtaking, up-close look at the magnificent Horseshoe Falls. It's an awe-inspiring feeling to stand so close to the rushing water. The tunnels leading to the platform were an adventure in themselves. The whole journey was well-organized, informative, and unforgettable. I highly recommend this attraction to anyone visiting Niagara Falls.

The first time you go, it's really impressive to see the falls that close. It's really a "must see it once in my life" type of attraction. This year was our second time and the wow facter was a little less there. There isn't really anything to do down there except taking a few pictures inside the tunnel (they don't have interactive gallery or lightning and only have a few wall boards with historical facts while waiting in line) because they don't want you to stay down there too long. It's pretty much take the elevator, wait in line 30-40 min, take a quick picture or 2 behind the falls and please go back quickly waiting in line for the elevator to let others take pictures too. Like I said, recommended to see it 1 time in your life but since nothing was added in 10 years, don't expect anything new after.

This is an amazing tour and I definitely recommend to do it once your in town. You go behind the fall and see how powerful it is. Also, there is a viewing deck just by the fall on the water level for taking pictures and experiencing the fall very closely. It costs about $30 and takes about half an hour to go visit all the spots.

I visited Journey Behind the Falls this summer 2023, and I was very disappointed by the whole experience. I paid $24 for a ticket, and I expected to get a guided tour of the tunnels behind the falls, with some historical and geological information. Instead, I had to wait for more than 30 minutes in a crowded hall, where it seemed like they were trying to make us buy food from the food court. There was no other reason for the long delay. Then, they just let us walk through a dark and damp tunnel, with no explanation or narration. The only thing we got to see was the falls from behind, which was not very impressive. It was a waste of time and money, and I felt cheated. I would not recommend this attraction to anyone, unless you really want to see the falls from a different angle. There are much better ways to enjoy Niagara Falls, such as the boat cruise. Journey Behind the Falls is a rip-off, and it needs to improve its service.

Totally worth it to visit the journey behind the Falls. You first need to get the tickets upstairs and then head down the elevator. I recommend wearing the capes they give you because you will most likely get wet down there. I've visited it both during summer and winter. When the falls are frozen, it is an amazing view.

We purchased the package, which cost roughly $50/person and included 5 attractions. You can either purchase it online or in person, depending on which season you're visiting, to avoid the lineup. Journey behind the falls is located at the main building you purchase the tickets. You take an elevator down. There is 1 deck area with 2 decks. One at the top which is covered and another at the bottom which is open. There are also 2 viewing points where you basically see the water. Views from the deck was amazing but be sure to wear your ponchos. The staff took a picture while entertaining and was selling them for $40 at the exit which was messed up. The gift shops were super expensive for the quality of item they're selling.

Great experience going down in the tunnels and learning the history behind the falls. You take an elevator 125' down till you get to the tunnel and walk about 25' when it spits to the right under the falls or straight to observation area, truly Amazing views being able to see inside the tunnels under the falls and getting close enough to feel the water spashing so if you want wear the poncho they give you, I did not wear one but I had a water proof heated jacket so was not needed. When the sun goes down and lights turn on, it's an extremely gorgeous site, a great place to propose 😀 or site see.

This was part of our wonder pass and I feel it’s worth the value within that package. It’s not flashy by any means but a neat different perspective if you’ve never done this before. We were fortunate to have zero lineup so we walked straight through and completed the event within 30 minutes taking our time.

There was a line, but it moved pretty quickly. You get your rain poncho and wait to go down to the Falls tunnel. Out of three openings available, I would recommend doing just the panoramic patio. The "behind the Falls" part is nothing but a wall of water that looks like nothing. People take a million pics and it's just weird. However, the first (closest) patio/opening is the best to view the Falls from the side. Absolutely stunning views. Prepare to get wet! ;) But worth it. Skip the "behind" part and just enjoy the view from the patio.

Was an amazing experience that allowed us to see behind the falls and understand more about the amount of water and power that the falls have. It feels so fascinating when your right next to the falls and feeling the water on yourself. Taking pictures next to it was not so easy as there was hell lot of mist which will make you your camera and everything wet Would recommend if you buy tickets online so you can escape the line. Although we went on Canada day and we got the tickets easily in just 5-10 minutes wait.

Incredible experience !!! Worth every penny we paid . They first direct you to tunnel under the falls , it is fascinating and a bit scary to feel the power of the water really. Then we walked to the deck. Here you see the falls upclose , close enough to get soaking wet 😁 Staff was very informative from the beginning till the end , they provide ponchos which you will need it %100 so don't try to man up or fancy up lol I highly recommend purchasing tickets online. The ticket line was too long but since we have purchased the tickets we skipped that long line which is a big plus. There is no time limit , once you enter the tunnel you can spend as much as time you want . So take your time and enjoy one of the best experience you can get.

For $54 you can't go wrong here. It's one of the better touristy things to do for sure. Be careful with your phone as you will get sprayed and wet. The cavern leading right to the middle of the falls is worth the wait in line for sure. The shear power that close is something to see for yourself. The outside terrace is amazing as well feeling and hearing the rush of the falls next to you.

Totally worth it! Not crowded in April and a good way to see the falls up close and personal. I loved to hear the rushing water and the occasional blast of the water hitting me as I looked out of the key hole. The look out point is spectacular, a big area with a covered top and open bottom. You are right next to the falls. And you get wet! I loved it.

The Journey Behind the Falls is an extraordinary excursion that offers a rare and thrilling perspective of the renowned Horseshoe Falls. It's an experience that is deserving of not just a five-star rating, but indeed, as you aptly put it, five stars tenfold. Descending through the bedrock, visitors are granted the opportunity to witness the staggering power of the falls from behind the veil of cascading water. The thunderous roar of the falls is all-encompassing, a powerful symphony of nature that reverberates through the heart and soul. The observation decks and portals provide a vantage point unlike any other, where the sheer magnitude of the falls can be truly comprehended. It's a place where the might of nature can be felt in every droplet of mist, where every sense is engulfed by the falls’ majesty. For anyone seeking to connect with the raw spirit of Niagara, the Journey Behind the Falls is an absolute must. It’s an adventure that leaves a lasting impression, magnifying the grandeur of this natural spectacle in an intimately profound way.

Journey behind the falls was the most fun that I’ve ever had. It was like an adult amusement park. You could see the water right in front of you and it would often blow right on your face and drenched you completely soaked. So worth it and I would do this over and over again if I could.

It was such a cool experience. To be able to get that close to the actual falls was astounding. You can feel the intensity and the power of the falls when you go through the tunnels. Once you get to the viewing platforms, you get to actually see the water going over the rocks and landing and get all the mist over you! It was a wonderful experience.

Such a breathtaking mesmerizing experience, being so close to the fall and feeling the mist on your face altogether. Coming on the platform and watching the water up close is so amazing. I would keep coming back to this place, I can't get enough of this.

This place is amazing truly Mother Nature at its best god has created a beauty for us to enjoy. Highly recommended a place to visit. There are allot of activities to do here and keep you busy obviously be ready to spend. The zip line under $20 boat ride down at the falls under $40 close up falls under $25 sky top view under $25 or maybe you wanna save money and just enjoy the scenery completely free. Parking Do not park at the local park it’s $11 per 30 minutes if all day over $100 that’s ridiculous park out side the area and just do some walking you can find parking as low as $10 for all day most is $20 all day. Once You’re done loving the falls walk to the downtown entertainment and spend more money they have packages for whatever entertainment you want. Descent food options so you’ll have plenty to do. Come back in the evening and enjoy the lights and fireworks at 10p. Note fireworks are not done always as weather may affect the show.

Went to this place over the weekday and the crowd was not much but still queue was there. The view of the falls was really amazing when seeing it very close. There are three view points on this journey behind the falls. Two points were behinds the falls and third one is just outside to the falls.

There’s really only one thing to do there but see the falls up close but let’s be real, the view is well worth it. Directions: On the east end of the building you’ll find a kiosk that will lead you down to the elevators where you’re given your ponchos. Once behind the falls you have the option to walk around the tunnels and see through the waterfall or head right to the observation deck. The falls spray mist but you won’t get too, too wet.

This is a great adventure for families with kids. You actually get to venture down and behind Niagara Falls. There is a bit of walking involved, and the going can be slippery. A brilliant diversion on a hot day, and if it is windy you will get wet (ponchos provided). If you park in the lot near.the Table Rock Centre, be prepared for your car windows to be covered by a residue from the fall’s spray that will not come off with just your window washing fluid! You will need to scrub your windows with a squeegee or have some window cleaner and paper towels handy.

A must-see if you're visiting the Canadian side of Niagara. The grounds of the park are beautiful. Wherever you turn, it's a photo op. The gift store and building are wonderful inside. There is plenty of shopping and assorted places to eat. Going behind the falls was once in a lifetime experience. It is for all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens, it's not too scary . You get complimentary ponchos for helping to stay dry. They came in handy, being it was a rainy day. It was a great experience for the whole family .

We got a priority access just because we bought a package at the hotel but I would not recommend it if you have a lot of time in your hand because of the cost and the hidden charges this deals have. The line was long but its worth the wait given we have to line up. You get to experience the majestic Niagara falls up close and personal. It was fun. Everyone had a great time admiring the beauty of the falls despite being all wet aboard a boat as we get as close to the falls. Its once i a lifetime experience you shouldn’t miss once you visit Niagara or even Toronto, its just a couple of hours away.

Niagara Falls is a world-renowned natural wonder located on the border of the United States and Canada. It consists of three waterfalls: the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side and the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls on the American side. The falls are formed by the Niagara River, which connects Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Known for their stunning beauty and impressive size, the falls attract millions of visitors each year. The thundering water cascades over the cliffs, creating a breathtaking display of mist and spray. Niagara Falls is not only a popular tourist destination but also a significant source of hydroelectric power.

Journey Behind the Falls at Niagara is an absolute must-see! This incredible attraction allows you to experience the power and beauty of the falls in a way that few other experiences can. The journey behind the falls was nothing short of breathtaking - the sound of the water crashing down around you and the mist rising up was truly awe-inspiring. The view from the observation deck was simply stunning, and it was amazing to see the sheer force of the water up close. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with all the information we needed to make the most of our visit. Overall, "Behind the Falls" was an unforgettable experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Niagara. Don't miss out on this one!

If you're visiting Niagara Falls, I highly recommend taking a Journey Behind the Falls. It's an incredible experience that gets you up close and personal with the power and majesty of the falls. The Journey Behind the Falls starts with a descent into tunnels carved out of the rock behind the falls. As you walk through the tunnels, you can hear the roar of the water growing louder and louder. You'll see glimpses of the falls through openings in the rock, and feel the spray of the mist on your face. But the real highlight of the Journey Behind the Falls is when you emerge onto the observation deck at the foot of the falls. You'll be just a few feet away from the water as it crashes down into the river below. The sheer force of the falls is awe-inspiring, and you'll be able to feel the power of the water vibrating through your body. The view from the observation deck is absolutely breathtaking. You'll see the entire Horseshoe Falls from a unique perspective, with the water rushing down in a torrent all around you. It's a truly unforgettable experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Niagara Falls. Overall, I would say that the Journey Behind the Falls is a great spurious. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see one of the world's most stunning natural wonders up close, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Worthwhile visit. The power station is unique and seeing the falls from below is a bit of a more powerful experience. You can feel/hear the deep sound of the huge volume of water better. This makes for a more immersive experience (pun intended because you may get very wet if the wind is blowing the right way). Personally, I'd recommend coming and seeing the falls from the top, do the power station tour, and see the falls from the bottom. Don't worry about the Maid of the Mist. But that's just me, I'm sure others would disagree.

For the price (25$/ person) Journey behind the fall is NOT a must according to me. It takes 20 minutes to complete and the view is not that impressive. I thought we had a better view of the fall up on the side walk. I don’t regret doing it but I would not recommend.

The journey behind the falls was an amazing experience, it is so spectacular to see the falls up close (the edge of the falls is just about 10ft from the observation area). Due to COVID restrictions, there were only a handful of people at a time, so it was awesome opportunity to really enjoy the view. You really can't see much from the 2 portals, but rather they provide a glimpse of the raw power of the falls. Definitely worth the visit.

Eh... The journey felt underwelming. It is a good experience if you want to see the falls up close. The actual view behind the falls is nothing to wait for. It's like you are watching heavy rain from an open window, you don't see anything. On our weekend visit, we had to wait in a line to get an elevator to leave. Again it's a good bargain if you don't want to go on a boat ride but want to get close to the falls

Disappointed. The attraction of viewing the Canadian horseshoe falls from a close outdoor platform was great. The view through the holes in the tunnels behind the falls was a once in a lifetime thing to see but really is just a curtain of rushing water. The attraction was inefficiently run. BUY YOUR TICKETS ONLINE. The line to buy them at the attraction was 40 min. long. Then there is another 30 minute wait for the elevator going down to the tunnels. Then there is another 30 minute wait in the tunnel to the viewing area behind the falls. A total of 1vhour and 40 minutes of waiting for 15-20 minutes of actual attraction.

I'd highly recommend experiencing this attraction at least once in a lifetime. You really get to experience the power of the falls. Depending on how long you stick around I'd say the experience would take 15mins to an hour. Great spot to get some photos to remember your trip to the falls.

  • 4/5 Summer 7 months ago on Google
It was fun to be on the deck, but the tunnels were just long waits to see a small window of water crash down. It was very cool to be behind the falls. Maybe it would have felt more worth it with fewer people. Waiting for so long just to see that was, eh? But, the deck is so worth it!!

Really neat to walk behind the falls. Terrifying to think of how many millions of gallons of water are flowing over top of you. It's very crowded and musty, so wear your poncho and bring your patience. Lots of good photo ops.

As you can see this attraction is really popular.. It will have lines up, especially on weekends days, I will say that this tour toke around a hour or so halftime was in lines, starting from buying the tickets, get in the elevator, walk in the tunnel, take pictures, return all the way back and buy the picture that they sell, which in my opinion 50 cad for 2 print pictures and same for digital copy is not worth… but definitely I recommend all the experience and exciting moments, beginning to the end

I highly recommend the tour bus. Our guide was very informative, professional. We made photo stops and did not rush us as we had time to venture out and see the sites. Driver offered discounts for the added attractions. The Fall were breath taking and a must see to believe. Overall great experience.

Neat experience! It's exciting to see another angle of the falls, and you can explore the tunnels beneath it. It's very busy and crowded, but worth doing it especially if it's your first time visiting. Also note, you can select this and some other options in a bundle if you want to save some money. It's not too expensive if you want to do the bundles. Definitely worth checking out!

  • 5/5 Lily S. 8 months ago on Google
fun to do at least once. the observation deck is the coolest part, in my opinion. the two portals behind the falls are also worth seeing. however, they are identical, so if you miss one, it's definitely not the end of the world. I recommend wearing breathable shoes because you will get wet

Toronto to Niagara road was too busy, took three and half hour to reach there, then took an hour to find parking. The traffic control young generation was not that much cooperative. For long weekend the crowds twice than normal summer weekend. Parking charges went sky high $35 to $40 per day/visit. Above all we enjoyed

Even though it’s been quite a while since last visited the falls, it definitely did not disappoint but rather enhanced the sense of wonder and extraordinary beauty! And after a brief sun shower, a timely rainbow covered the falls. Park at the Skylon $15/day with optional access to stairs leading to Fallsview Blvd (wooded footpath to street level but not suitable for strollers or young children unless you’re prepared to piggyback:)

  • 2/5 Denzi Yishey (. 1 year ago on Google
This is definitely one of the tourist trap. We went for the tunnels one. It’s nothing to see. Just a hole with a barricaded to feel the crashing waters from the falls. Didn’t see anything else than the crashing waters. The best is the outside spot but seriously, it’s not worth the money if you are running out of time. I would not recommend based on my personal experiences.

Such a great experience! The sound of the falls travels through the stone into the tunnels. You can feel the power of the falls right above you. Seeing the falls from back side is surreal. When you go to the lower viewing platform you can’t help but be in awe of the majesty. Makes sense why they call it a great wonder of the world!!

  • 5/5 L C. 2 years ago on Google
Fantastic way to see the falls. Up close and personal. The tunnel has panels for more information about the tunnel and the falls. If you were expecting to see the back, back of the falls... You might be disappointed but at the same time, how much would you really see. I believe the "behind"/side is perfectly acceptable. The platform decks are in a way the best view compared to the back. Plus you get to see where you were standing "behind the falls". It's a thing to experience and not one to describe. Worth the trip and worth to get wet for.

  • 5/5 Rob W. 2 years ago on Google
An amazing place to see just how majestic the falls are. You will spend some time in line as the tunnels are small and the two viewpoint petals behind the falls are small but well worth it. There are plenty of signs to read in the tunnel that are very informative. Then there is the viewpoint at the edge of the falls. Wow!! So amazing. Definitely worth the waiting to see this in person

Accessibility for wheelchair users is integrated into the staff's procedures; it was lovely not to have to ask "hey what can I do, I'm in this wheelchair and you have stairs." Someone came and rounded up groups with wheels waiting in line and brought us to another elevator entrance. The tunnels were interesting with a cool peek into the old wooden tunnels, the portal behind the falls was a short interesting sight, but the real winner was the view from the observation decks directly beside & at the bottom of the falls. SO beautiful, so cool! The lower deck is not wheel-accessible, but my friend said the top deck has the nicest view anyway. ;) Tickets were still available for a journey in the half hour after we arrived, but we went on a Thursday. On the weekend or on holidays, would recommend buying them in advance. Plan to be an hour+ early if you're going to try to park in the main lot with disabled parking spots; the lineup on the street gets veeery long!

This is a must do. Being that close to the raw power is intense. And will get wet, even with a poncho! Good posters describing the history of the Falls and the tunnels.

This attraction is a walking tunnel that is constructed behind the hotshot falls. You go to the tunnel via an elevator that takes you straight down more than 100 feet. When you arrive at the bottom you can hear the roar of the falls when the elevator doors open. There is a viewing area that allows you to go outside the tunnel and stand very close to the falls. Rain jackets are provided as you can get quite wet if you go closer to the mist of the falls. There is a wego stop right in front of this attraction - we purchased the Adventure Pass which includes 48 hours of free wego bus rides which stop directly in front of all attractions included in the pass. I would highly recommend this attraction and the adventure pass.

Spectacular views. The tunnel takes you very close to the falls and the view point is amazing. It's like getting a seat in the first row. Prepare to get soaked ☺️ it's worth it and can be very refreshing in hot summer days. We went on a Saturday early June and it was a bit busy, but the staff was very helpful with keeping the visitors in organized lines.

Views from inside the tunnels looking at the back side of the falls is really cool, but the Observation Deck is amazing! Walking out onto the deck and looking up at the falls is an absolutely incredible view of the falls. That part was the memory maker. Suggest you arrive at least 15-20 before the time on your ticket. The line doesn't look long from the ticket area, but inside there is a que with several twists and turns, similar to the lines at airport TSA or an amusement park ride.

Amazing attraction where you can get sprayed by the falls. You can hear the water rushing down the falls. Wasn’t expecting it to be this crowded on a foggy day but it was still nice to visit. Better than a similar experience on the American side I went to a few years ago. There are two portals and one big observation deck here.

One of the touristy things to do in Niagara falls. It is always great idea to purchase the ticket in advance to avoid the queue. Having said that be ready to stand in a queue to get in and get those beautiful views, it’s definitely worth it. Make sure to wear a good footwear as the floor can be slippery. The views from the outside terrace is breathtaking. They have two floors and soak all the views and sound you can. They also click your picture like every other experience for you to get a print if you like. I went there on a weekend around 4pm and could get in without a queue but there were long queues after that. I would highly highly recommend this experience.

The view from the side of the falls is great! The only other location that I imagine can contest it is from the maid of the mist (a boat that will take tourists up to the falls). Alongside your ticket, you receive a poncho, which is useful when you are close to the falls. I definitely will say this is a must-see attraction/spot, but the price seems a bit higher than needbe, thus the four stars.

Journey Behind the Falls offers a thrilling and immersive experience at Niagara Falls. Getting up close to the thundering cascade is awe-inspiring, but be prepared to get soaked! It's an adventure that truly captures the power and beauty of nature. A must-try for any Niagara visitor seeking an unforgettable encounter. Be warned long lines, especially during summer season.
