Tommy Thompson lighthouse is located at the farthest end of Tommy Thompson park. It took us about 75minutes to complete the 5km walk but that was counting the stops for pictures and time to check out the break away min trails. The lighthouse itself is located on a height which makes it perfect to view the Toronto skyline especially at sunset. The climb to the too of the lighthouse isn't easy. One has to climb 2 ladders with a switch to the second one mid way - probably not a good choice for someone who isn't too adventurous or had vertigo. Once you make it to the too, the views are stunning though. I've added some pictures here to give and idea of the breathtaking panaromic views unadulterated by other humans.

One of the must do biking trails in Toronto. The view of the city from the light house is spectacular. If you're planning to spend a few hours near the light house, make sure you carry some mosquito repellent creams with you.

Nice landmark when reaching the end of Tommy Thompson park. Also during a windy cold day. This spot is incredibly warm. I came here during winter and the visibility was nice. You are able to set downtown. I'm assuming during summer bushes will reduce visibility of the city. Still a good checkpoint to include in your planning

Beautiful escape from downtown core. It feels like a countryside. I saw a snake and a fox family. Perfect place for birds watching. Some of the bad humans left a little of garbage there (plastic bottles and bars wraps) make sure you don’t littler.

Absolutely spectacular view of the Toronto skyline from the park peninsula. No other city in North America to my knowledge has such a well maintained cycling/hiking trail where you can see everything so clearly, which makes me grateful to live in this fantastic place. Overall 10/10 spot - as many other reviewers have written it's perfect for escaping the daily hustle & bustle (especially in late August or early September when it's a bit cooler but still sunny)

Walking across the pontoon to the southernmost point of Toronto, there is no asphalt on this short stretch of road, so the descent is not too bumpy and refreshingπŸ˜…. The way to the lighthouse is the middle one of the three forked roads. If you don't insist on visiting here, you don't need to go in.

A nice deserted park, very long, 6km, demi-island. There is asphalt road, not maintained for a while. By some reason they put speed bumps every 200m which makes complicated to ride fast. And grassy trail is on South side. I like funny sculptures made from construction garbage. A lot of mosquitos attack you in the evening. But it's nothing compared to amazing view on a city trough the lake especially if you come by sunset!

Nice trail along the water and in between greenery. Once you get to the lighthouse you can look far into the Lake and the city from afar. Great for meditating, soaking in the sun and enjoying the beautiful views. Also not too crowded on weekday evenings. Highly recommend.

Can get a few good pictures, but it's a looooong HOT walk. Bike share at the top of the park only. The floating bridge was out but was not noted anywhere, so that made for a lot of extra walking. The woods leaves road is pretty boring. The Rocky shoes are littered with stone "art" trash sculptures. The lighthouse itself is abandoned and fenced off in an overgrown area. Grafitti everywhere. Feels abandoned or lost apocalyptic at best. Definately needs some restoration.

Good trail for riding bike. No car, width road. Very safety for family biking. There is a share bike station but honestly 30 mins can not forth and back from bike station to lighthouse and returned. You need to pay extra money for bike share. After sunset, a lot of mosquitoes so don't forget insect repellent.

A wonderful view, although a bit far to get from the city about 12 km approximately but it's worth it! a wonderful flora and fauna!
