We read good Google reviews and decided to give the Veggie Planet restaurant a try. The restaurant offers vegetarian and vegan options. Parking is plentiful and free. Free Wi-Fi. The inside of the restaurant definitely needs updating and cleaning; not that's its totally disgusting but just needs a good clean. When you enter the restaurant the menu is posted on a wall that is easily read but it does not have any explanation below each menu item which makes you wonder what's it made out of. I think by offering a few words underneath each item giving an explanation as to what it is would definitely help people who are not of East Indian descent. The washroom (there is only one shared washroom) itself was not totally clean but again not totally disgusting; which is similar to the inside decor of the restaurant. Food: we love the fact that there is the option of having your food fried or baked. The Indian Samosa is a definite five star! It was delicious and the chutney sauce that accompanied it was excellent. The Vada Burger and Kachori Burger were absolutely awesome and is something we would definitely order again. We love the fact that the burgers came loaded with lettuce onions cucumbers tomatoes in other words it was extremely flavourful, better than any other fast food restaurant. We ordered two sides, one potato wedges and onion rings. The potato wedges were very well seasoned and crispy and is a definite 5-star side dish. The onion rings however lacked flavour and crunch; we were quite surprised that you only get 6 small onion rings. We only give this 2 stars and would definitely not order the onion rings again. Although there are signs posted throughout the restaurant for customers to clean up their table, not all customers are respectful and this unfortunately leaves several tables dirty. Staff need to pay better attention to cleaning tables and chairs as there were several dirty tables and chairs upon our arrival. The Basil Pesto Naanza is fantastic! The crust is thin and crispy, vegatables, broccoli peppers olives and feta cheese make it taste extremely velvety and creamy. This is a definite 5-star dish. The Schezwan Naanza is equally fantastic with an added zing of spice! The red peppers green peppers broccoli green onions black olives and mushrooms make this a definite 5-star dish. While we were there, several East Indian families came into this restaurant which makes us think it's definitely an authentic East Indian food restaurant. So the real question is, would we return? The answer is a definite yes! We do hope the owners do a cleaning but it's the food that we were definitely impressed with

I visited them multiple times. There food is really good and fresh. If anyone likes Indian fast food this is the best place to visit. The most important thing to try there is chaat pizza. Its the best thing of this place. They also provide swaminarayan version of food. I tried samosa chaat, chaat pizza, noodle burger, kachori burger, vada burger. In chat pizza they mix some vegetables with some masala and on top of that they put curd and plain sev. It tastes so delicious. Samosa chat was also good. Noodle burger was okay. I mean its edible. Kachro burger and vada burger was also good. So overall food was good. It’s really worth trying.

Who needs meat, when the vegetarian (or vegan) alternatives taste this good! Love the menu options, the customization approach, and ultimately, the most important thing, the taste. Picked up their Planet Spacial Pizza (a vegan take on a meat-lovers), and kawa (vegan) drumsticks. Well seasoned, great spice levels, full of flavour! Takeout orders through their website cost a little less than thorough delivery apps (I was checking Skip the Dishes), and was just as easy to place and pay online. Order was ready on time, and counter staff were friendly. Two thumbs up for Vegan Planet Mississauga👍🏽👍🏽

We visited Veggie Planet almost 2 yrs ago and gave a visit today as were nearby. It is still one the best places to eat. We had Schezwan Vadapav and Chana Naan both were ultra yum. The green chutney served with vadapav was so refreshing that I had to ask for more. Do give this restaurant a visit if you are a vegetarian and want to try some food with a little twist. The staff was very hospitable. Great job guys!! Please maintain the flavour and freshness :)

Their burgers are to die for! Living in the US, I didn’t get to eat the veggie burgers that I used to enjoy in India. It’s rare to find a potato patty burger in the states, we mostly get the veggie bean or impossible patty there. So, whenever I visit Toronto I make sure to satisfy my Indian taste buds by ordering fusion Indian food. Had their veggie and noodle burgers, and both were lip-smacking-finger-licking delicious! We also tried their pav bhaji and veg pizza, I’d say those items were not bad either but I’ve had better. This place also serves a chaat pizza in case you’re in mood for some adventure. Overall, this place is a must try. I’d go back for the burgers for sure!

Pau bhaji was so so, but rest of the stuff was great. Prices are reasonable. The restuarant is self serve restaurant just like any burger join. Burgers were good and combo includes fries but missing a drink and fries are not much with the combo. Overall its decent and I may visit again if nearby.

They have got delicious flavours. However, I would suggest them to concentrate more on the proportions of their flavours. Loved the Szechuan nanza and crispy fries! Vadapav was not bad. Kawa drumstick and noodle burger were okay. Noodles were less and the proportion of patty was more in the noodle burger. As it says noodle burger, I would expect more noodles and less patty in the burger! I would also suggest to use some sort of spice or seasoning on the drumsticks.

I was very excited to try this Indian - western fusion and vegan friendly place and am so glad I did. I got the vegan versions of naanza, pav bhaji pizza, kachori burger and kawa nuggets. The pizzas were very well done. The kachori burger was pretty good too. Will definitely be back to try their other menu items. Edit: we got Masala pizza later which was a bit disappointing. It's sauce was on sweeter side and there was an odd tasting herb topping.

A decent place to go if you're looking for vada pav or chaat. Their samosa chaat is really good (and I'm not typically a fan of chaat) Vada pav was great, wished it was spicier. Will go for the Indian spicy level

I ordered recently fast food from Veggie Planet at Vaughan to support local community due to COVID, but it did not meet our expectation as Indian Street Food.Quality is too much poor.We were supposed to planning to take franchisee but never think about it again - Thank you!

AMAZING FOOD. IF you're vegan or don't eat dairy cheese, this is the place to go for pizza. It was super yummy, the small pizza was way bigger than I expected, and the lady on the phone as well as the men who I interacted with during the order were super kind. Some suggestions/improvements, I did ask for mushrooms instead of onions, and there were very less mushrooms on the pizza, so it'd be great if there could be more! Also it'd really be great if there was calories listed on the online menu like other restaurants sometimes do? Other than that, I really enjoyed it, and will definitely be back for some of the Indian food. Thanks!

I went to this place around an year back and boy oh boy, they have been consistent in serving good food. I tried 6 different things and except for one, everything exceeded my expectations.....the only thing I wished can be improved would be the naan thing not to have olive oil sprinkled on top, maybe people like it but for me it was too rich... will definitely be coming back.....

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Vaggie Planet in Mississauga. When I ordered the Paneer Topped Pizza, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality they offered. The pizza was large and beautifully presented, which made me happy even before taking a bite. In my opinion, the taste was quite good, and I'm already looking forward to trying their Indian style pizza next time I order from there.

The service is fast. In terms of food I didn’t liked it. I was hoping to have special taste of pizza but it was more of the sabzi pizza which I didn’t liked. It’s upto your preference. I had worst channa naan. Please don’t order that else you will end up leaving in between. Panzerotti seems fine option.

Amazing selection of indian street food. Veggie planet makes your taste buds go crazy. Well thought after menu for vegetarian folks with carefully selected menu items including some fusion items as well like Naanza Staff is amazing, always service with a smile Only thing to take care of is ambience. Could have spent some time on redesigning interiors making it more attractive

I have been there multiple times.Never had a problem. But today was horrible experience. We ordered Veg nuggets and veg noodles today. The noodles were SO BLAND.No salt at all.Got 6 nuggets in total and the noodles were just tasteless.Everytime the service is just going bad to worse. And seeing the previous reviews, before you claim you did not serve me,I have also uploaded the receipt. Update: I am not any person who will give the review based on a single experience.I called back after sometime and was treated very rudely by the person who was on the other end.I should have mentioned your customer service as well in the previous post.I was not offered any exchange/return but instead was told that you have sold the same noodles to other people as well and no one has complained.I am a business owner and I know for a fact how these reviews play an important part in running a business.Having said that, you certainly are not capable enough to accept your mistakes or any kind of constructive crticisim which is really sad.All the reviews that you have replied to have been just bashing the customers for mistakes made at your end.I wish you all the best. This is certainly NOT the way to respond back to someone who gave you business (be it worth a dollar or more). We're all HUMANS and this is certainly not how you behave/react when someone tries to come across with an issue that they may face while being a customer. Kudos to the customer service as well.

Visit # umpteenth: Veggie Planet continues to deliver on taste, quality, variety and service! Their Vegan, swaminarayan and Jain Indian street food options are the best in town if not the country. I always get their Vada Pavs (deep fried spiced mashed potato ball in a chewy burger), because it's the closest tasting to the ones you get in Mumbai. Other restaurants here fail to recreate that perfect taste (a few add raw onions to them too 😕). Veggie Planet even gets all the sauces/chutneys right! The green and tamarind chutney, and the dry coconut red chili powder do perfect justice to the crunchiness of the vada. Their vegetarian twist on Kava nuggets disguised as chicken nuggets were pretty good, too. I would happily have them again. Lastly, I haven't had the Dabeli the last two times I ordered from the restaurant, because I remember it being a bit too oily/buttery for my taste. Overall, great food! I will visit the restaurant again to try out some of their other specials.

I don’t know why I haven’t reviewed this place yet. Been here so many times and each time it hits the right spot. Our faves are schzewan naanza and cold coco. The masala fries are one of the crispiest i ever had. We have also tried pau bhaji and dahi puri and they were good too. It usually takes 15-20 minutes to get your takeout order. The staff are good too.

I heard about this place and visited but experience is not that good. I read the reviews and many mentioned that the employees are more particular about closing on time, the management does not take actions on these kind of things. The staff has some kind of attitude, does not mention any specials or customer requests. The place can be a gem only if the staff and management takes care of customers. Hope this review help other diners.

Best place to enjoy Indian street food like dabeli, chaat, chole, and indian style pizza. We have tried all the recipes from the menu so far and believe me it is finger licking. Such a tasty and mouth watering flavours with unique spice combination that makes you dine in experience very comfortable and perfect.

I called them at 830 to book a table. And they asked me will you be able to finish your food before 930? Seemed like employees were focused on closing duties rather than serving customer or making food. Finally at 920 they started turning off lights and we were still having food and we left with the employees at 930pm. Feels like they wanted to throw us out from the minute I placed an order. After all this law quality of pizza and burger. Nothing special about the food at all. They have so many good reviews because I guess cheap price.

Am glad such places exist! This place is like my next home, I follow a no-onion no-garlic diet and this place offers so many dishes with this option and I am so grateful that I got to move in to Mississauga so that I can get to know such eateries, my brother in law introduced me to this place and their pizzas in Indian style are worth drooling for 😋❣️

The four stars are primarily for the amazing staff serving here. The girl taking the order was super polite and accommodating to our unusual requests. Also we ordered 5 items and about 4 them were pretty good. Also, kachori burger was the best of all. Would definitely recommend it.

Went there based on reviews and was not disappointed at all. Ordered Dahi puri ( the best of what we ordered), pav Bhaji ( slightly runny bhaaji - but tastes good ), pulao along with masala soda. Food came out pretty quickly except for the pulao which was to be expected. Overall the service was quick and efficient.

Authentic Indian food on a budget. The place is highly recommended with the naanza on the top of my list of try’s. Also try their vadapav which is authentic and great value for money. The service is brilliant and though the place is small, it’s an excellent place for food throughout the day.

  • 2/5 Venkatesh S. 1 year ago on Google
Went for dinner after a friend's recommendation, but very much disappointed 😞. Ordered Pav bhaiji, Dahi puri, noodle burger and tawa biriyani. Only pav bhaji was decent but bread was so thin. Dahi puris were so tiny and it was just dahi and puri with no suace, puri were so tiny that you can stuff 3 puris in one go without opening your mouth wide. Noodle burger was so soggy that water was dripping from the bun, noodle inside tasted pathetic. Tawa biriyani quantity was so less, they added raw vegetables without cooking and tasted terrible..🤮 they charge premium price for every item. Paid ~$45 for these items and not enough for 2 adults and a kid, we left home hungry. There is no proper aeration inside and could smell bad oil that didn't go away even after coming home. Please avoid this restaurant as they have shrunk the quantity and hiked the price. Update after owner's comment: I don't agree with owner's comment, other restaurants make better food, my reviews are always honest and if someone serves good food, I praise them. Every item you served had scope for improvement. Noodle burger was so soggy that we had to throw the bread as it was completely soaked, almost became a paste, people buy it due to its fancy name and there are opportunities to make better burger. Tawa biriyani had uncooked vegetables and photos attached here, tasted so pathetic, I request the owner to taste their own biriyani and compare with other restaurants, owner refuses to accept the improvements suggested, rather very argumentative.

Saw this veggie place near by when I was in Mississauga area. Food is good and they have limited but pretty good options in menu. Liked the veggie pizza and it was fabulous. Pani poori was not so bad but it was okay . Have had better than that. Had pav bhaji it's one of the top 3 in Toronto, I can say. Dabeli was crunchy and delicious. Masala chai is also something that you can try. It's a self serve place, you should cleanup after you. Overall a very good place for vegetarians.

It was our first evening in Canada after a long drive and we already planned to go here for dinner! It turned out to be a great place! Their endless fast-food menu options were fantastic and we loved trying most of them. I loved their Naanza and Pizza the most out of everything! The noodle burger was amazing too! The service was quick and the dine-in area was clean! It looked like the staff mostly comprised of college students who were working hard to run the kitchen and deliver exceptional service to their customers. They made sure that every customer who entered the place leaves with satisfaction and a smile and realize they had a great time there!

We visited this vegetarian friendly restaurant which also serves most of the vegan options. Their whole menu is vegetarian based and is fusion food. We tried Kachori Burger which was delish, the sauces were tangy and kachori was crispy inside with fluffy bun. Also tried their Indian Masala Pizza which was juicy and lots of spicy kicks to it. Their schzewan noodles were spicy af but delicious at the same time. Also tried their french fries which were crispy and coated with chaat masala, and their cold cocoa was so good that we had to order it again. Their kitchen is based on open concept, so you get to see your food been prepared in front of your eyes. Their ambience is decent with ample amount of spacious seating, and lively with all the music going on.

This hidden gem in Mississauga is undoubtedly one of the best vegetarian restaurants I've come across. While the place may be small, the flavors packed into their dishes are nothing short of extraordinary. Having been a loyal patron for the past three years, I can confidently say that I have no complaints. My personal favourite is their Samosa chat, it’s mouth watering. The menu boasts an array of delicious vegetarian options that consistently exceed expectations. The culinary expertise showcased in each dish is truly commendable. Making it a go-to spot for anyone seeking exceptional vegetarian cuisine in Mississauga. Highly recommended for a delightful and satisfying meal.

This is a family owned place and has some unique items. One of our favourites here is ‘Naanza’ which is basically a Pizza with a Naan base. We absolutely love this one. It has a pesto base and I love everything green, so becomes a natural choice. There’s also a noodle burger worth a try. The service is quick and the taste is good. Staff is friendly and helpful if you have any questions about the menu. The menu is not typical which makes this place special, you get to try indian dishes with a twist.

Firstly due to safety and hygiene concern, employers should wear gloves while making food. The food was not as per the expectations and the past reviews. The food she recommended was 2/5. Pav bhaji was also a bit cold? . Would be expecting much more changes if i will be returning to this place.

I feel bad for giving such a low rating to a restaurant that I had such great hopes from. 1. The food I got was nothing short off bland, and tasteless. 2. We got to the restaurant to pick up the food, it was raining picked up the food, realized they forgot to give me my drink I ordered- I had to call them and they said 'oh yeah the drink'. I decided to douuble check the rest of my order, rest assured there was another item missing. I wouldn't have even bothered writing a review but the disappointment in the taste of the food made me do it. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I was so excited to see they have vegan close by the car detailing shop I went to. Walked in here and they have a good selection of food. I wanted the Noodle Burger but replace my buns with lettuce instead, she made it into a salad style instead of well still delicious:)

The food was pretty good! I would recommend the vadapav, it's very spicy. I also had the BBQ nuggets, Kawa drumstick and planet special pizza. All were good but nothing extraordinary.

Mediocre We went in group of 5 Ordered below items and our opinion Good ones Veg noodles- everyone liked it, extra garlicky but we liked the kick Mango smoothie- kids liked it Bad ones Panipuri - everything is so cold, fresh from fridge :) Chat pizza and samosa chat - they are adding cold yogurt to these dishes and its making whole dish damn cold. May be they should keep some yogurt at room temperature. And on pizza i see cheese (may be mozzarella) which is not melted at all. Not sure if that is there style to add it at the end Poutine - everyone hated in my group Fries are bad, gravy has no taste Vada pav - this is another item we hate. Description says spicy potato, but the taste is bad with cumin dominance Pav bhaji- missing the taste

Don't go on the outside i.e. how it looks. Inside they have decent ambience. They have awesome food. Exact taste like that what we have in India. All these days I have been looking for the perfect taste for pav bhaji and I found it now. Wherever I stay in GTA I will definitely visit this place again and again. Pav Bhaji and wada pav are the stars... Followed by that is the Samosa Pav or Samosa chana chat, Dahi papdi chat. Will surely try other items as well next time

One of the best restaurants I have had Indian food at. They have dine in too, pretty good menu all of which have decent quantity and reasonably priced recommended to test their naan-pizza, burgers. Will go back for sure. We took the food out and ate sitting at one of the picnic tables with a great of planes taking off from Pearson. One less star as the chaat pizza was little too sweet.

Guys... The food is excellent here.. I don't eat onion and garlic and I had amazing options.. Naanza with White Sauce is a must have! Pizza and Burger was super tasty.. If I liked the food without Onion and Garlic so much, you can imagine how great the food must be.... Masala Soda in the end was relishing..

The food is absolutely fantastic! Was not expecting it by the looks of the restaurant. Nothing wrong with the looks but it looks like just another random restaurant. BUT BUT BUT... may god! The food blew us all away. Pav Bhaji is at the top ranks, Samosa chat on the second, vada pav is 3rd, BBQ nuggets 4th and then a bit disappointed with the Noodles. But its ok... everything else makes up for it. Not many photos since it was too good to wait for a photo.

Nice little cozy place..food is good but the staff is really rude and ill mannered! I ordered panezrotti indian style but it tasted so bad and when I complained them about it, the server argued with me and told me that it’s not our problem, you ordered it! It was my first time at this place, and i would say i would never come back just because of their staff’s impolite behaviour and attitude. They didn’t even serve me with another one or even apologize. If they continue with the same attitude, they’re gonna lose their customers. I would advise the owner to at least hire a professional staff and not just some random ill mannered girls. In the very first place mr owner, i did not threaten anybody. It is a strong word to use, so I would suggest u to not. I know how hard they work and me being in the same business of customer service, i too come across all types of people every time. That being said, i did not ask anybody to wave off the charges, i was expecting them to at least suggest us with some other item or your house specialty which could compensate for the bad taste. And i never said I don’t like ginger, it was too much of it and that’s what bothered me. Please do not misquote what i said and what not. I would never ask anybody to wave off the charges for the food I ordered.

My problem is that I myself check reviews of places before I visit them. So if you see a lot of 4 and 5 stars, it is because I try the best out of the lot. Wonderful place.. we tried their veg pizza and a couple of other things. Very very good I would say. Yaad aa gayi India ki... indian fast food at its best

This place is usually busy for take outs. The staff is clean and polite. Their Hazelnut milk tea and QQ mango juice is my favorite.
