Such a welcoming vibe! Alternity always has fun events on, see the calendar below for community gatherings such as yoga and dance. Great DJs. Safe space. Nutrient dense foods at cafe. Cool books. Check out the selenite wall!

I am not the coffee shop kinda guy. But I finally found it - this place is my vibe. Very zen, quiet, conducive to the deep conversation. Lots of interesting stuff that tickles the 🧠 It must be hidden for a reason. It won’t show on the Google map🗺️ One must walk into it - alternate reality :)

I was immediately impressed by the beauty of this community hub. There are large crystals and beautiful, gentle lighting and comfortable furniture and even lovely tables that are carved from trees. I felt at ease right away, and at home. The door greeter is actually an old friend of mine; it was very pleasant to have someone so gentle and loving, welcoming as he does for all people! I came for the dance on Friday night and totally loved the music; it’s techno but it’s somehow spiritual and mysterious at the same time-I love the room to dance; it’s nice and cool and comfortable. And when I needed to rest, I went up to one of the two rooms up a small flight of stairs which had cozy cushions and comfy chairs and nice tables to put your drink and loads of used spiritual and health books to read if you want. I totally totally am going go back just for the café even but also for more dancing and seeing people, old and new friends, in such a home like comforting way. The tea was great and there is a really good selection of very unique herb combos. I haven’t tried the food but it’s look like a good selection of alternatives for someone like myself; I have all sorts of allergies! All in all, I’d highly recommend this place to anybody who’s looking for a relaxing, gentle time where they can be themselves; as wild and hippie-like and alternative as you are. I was pleased to that the rules are no drugs or alcohol; it just is so relaxing knowing those parameters are there to help people like myself feel safe and welcome. I don’t do any drugs of any sort, nor touch alcohol, and I truly believe it’s better to get high without those things. And that’s how I felt when I visited Alternity; I felt high just being there in the wonderful atmosphere with gentle lighting and huge powerful crystals, inspiring artworks on display, nice things for sale like the braided sweet grass, beautiful music and comforting tea!

Gorgeous venue. We recently hosted an event here in the evening and the ladies loved the space! The staff helped us set up the room the way we wanted and made sure that we had what we needed. The Cacao drinks are delicious!

Alternity has a relaxing ambiance unique in Toronto. The vibes echo the spirit of Rochdale College, which stood on this spot. It's highly recommended as a place to spend some quiet time.

The food and drinks was rather advantageous to me. Cranberry lemon ball and matcha latte is great. Great atmosphere to wind down in the buzzing city.

This cafe offers a very unique experience! It has a kind of New Agey atmosphere, which isn't my thing personally, but the interior was unbiasedly beautiful and thr staff were very friendly and helpful. As for the beverages, if you're looking for a guilt-free drink that tastes healthy, this is for you, but again, this wasn't my cup of tea latte 😆

Gorgeous place with a great new-age Artistic and earthy flare. Great super-food elixirs (smoothies?!), And raw desserts. But the best part is the events and the amazing people who hang out there! And the music, when they have it! Most see place!

One of the best kept secrets in Toronto! Absolutely beautifully curated space for people that appreciate a high vibe. Super friendly people and a lovely selection of healthy drinks and snacks, not to mention crystals! I love coming here to work on my computer... But also it's the perfect place to rent out for a private event ~ the best

Such a nice, cozy and calm place for you to relax. I was looking for a coffee cafe while I was nearby and fortunately saw this place from across the street. As soon as I entered you could feel the vibe and get positive energy. You can stay here for having coffee, do your work, even relax and meditate, read book, anything relaxing activities. If you are with good company you might as well talk about anything you want. I would love to be back in this place and also connect with like minded people as they also host many events related to spirituality. Ive been here 2times and next time perhaps would join at there one of the events.

I absolutely adore this spot! It is filled with beautiful music, art, and people! It is rare to find places with such high vibrational energy in the city.

Great Cafe, really cool atmosphere.. really organic and vegan.. I'm not vegan so my only complaint would be the lack of whole milk but just not their thing here so understandable..

Great atmosphere and nice drinks. The food is all wrapped in plastic so I won’t eat it. Staff are generally a bit cold and not terribly helpful. If you are fragrant sensitive avoid this place, I wouldn’t prefer they didn’t burn incense... I mentioned it to them and they said that is just how it is (basically).

A good place to study or relax, if you like sitting on the floor or on a beanbag. Not much seating. The matcha here is not good but my friend liked her americano. They also carry a lot of wellness products like loose leaf tea and herbs.

Alternity is a really well curated space; a beautiful, organic, chill vibe, with good energy, and friendly people. It's so well done! I was there Saturday night for a dance party with DJs and live drumming. I had a great time meeting everyone, familiarizing with the space, enjoying dance, and a calming cup of tea. This is a no alcohol venue, which I greatly respect, as it shows the commitment to the vision of the owner/designer of the space. There are tiers of cozy spaces, with lots of books, well furnished, and plenty of ambient lighting, if you prefer an even more personal setting. I would love to return to Alternity, and enjoy the space again, and what it has to offer. I think more people need to discover this place, and it should be to capacity each night. Get the word out!

They have a really beautiful open space and have alot of health food products available that I'd recommend looking into. Staff is friendly and they have a elixir, tea , health food bar . Cozy cushions to sit and be creative with, good to do online work while enjoying space and utilizing their Café products

Unique spot hidden away on the south side of Bloor. It has a very interesting interior, with tons of plants, live-edge wood tables, cool lighting, tons of books, and some other stuff. Came here to work and enjoyed an “elixir drink” which was delicious albeit somewhat pricey, but I think the ingredients were good quality. The wifi is blazing fast, music is groovy, and the staff are lovely.

I actually stumbled in here looking for a now-nonexistent bookstore. However, I do not regret it a bit, and will be going back tomorrow. The space is really warm and welcoming. They have cushions you can sit on, and nice tables and carpets. It's the kind of slow-paced, warm, comfortable place that is in short supply in an era where everything has to be sharp angles and hard chairs. It is very new age spiritual, but you don't have to be to enjoy it! They make an amazing spicy golden chai latte (lots of turmeric and ginger), and its genuinely a great place to hang out. And they have shelves full of books to buy for very reasonable prices, too!

What an amazing decor and vibe in this place. I had one of those Smoothies called Abra Colada and it was good.

Beautiful ambience. It's like walking into a fantasy world. My only issue- I have some physical disabilities, and there are no regular chairs. There are either beanbag chairs (that I can't get up from), low kneeling chairs, (that I also can't get up from), or bar stools (that I can't climb onto). I just want a regular sized chair where I can sit up straight and my feet touch the floor.

Beautiful space with biophilic and geometrically inspired design, 3 levels with different little spots to get comfy or social, sometimes music and dancing, healthy drinks and snacks, interesting details I've not yet explored like books and gift items. I especially enjoyed the floor-based seating on the upper levels. I can't have caffeine at night, so the cardamom rose latte with coconut milk was perfect, and I loved the dark chocolate peanut butter oat cup. Easy to get to from Spadina subway station. Highly recommend!
