The doctor was sick, didn’t know that before I sat in the clinic, 10 mins before the appointment. The receptionist named Sandy was arguing that she called me.She did that with a raised voice, and I’m the one who came without knowing my appointment got canceled, idk why she’s angry. I don’t know how good the doctor is, but I do know how bad the receptionist is. The other younger lady was fine tho, at least I can feel she felt sorry, not Sandy.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but the care (or the lack thereof) I received here was, in hindsight, absolutely wild. TLDR I was hastily misdiagnosed as having rheumatoid arthritis by Dr. Sayde (without any imaging) and was instructed to just start taking painkillers more frequently. I got a second opinion and it was actually a problem I managed to fully fix with just 2 months of physiotherapy. I get doctors are busy and overworked, especially during covid, and everyone makes mistakes, but I am so, so glad I got a second opinion and found a different healthcare professional who actually listened to me and helped me find a solution instead of throwing pills at the problem. 2 stars because he was still very nice, and this is a great facility where I've gotten excellent care in the past (albeit from other physiotherapists!)

Amazing staff. Professional environment as soon as you enter. Supporting staff are extremely helpful and assist with all needs. Doctors are as professional as you can get. Dr. Lum is extremely compassionate and very knowledgeable about the human. body and its mechanics. The Chiropractors are great also. I have been treated by both and now under the care of Dr. Rosty. Amazing care plan and the follow ups with every appointment. Thank you to this clinic and would recommend highly to anyone wanting outstanding care. Thank you to all. Jaime

Amazing experience here! Doctor Ibey was very thorough in his consultation of my issue - the first Doctor that I felt listened to what I was explaining. I then worked with Derek for physio, he was great at explaining what was happening and why I needed to do certain exercises. He even went to the effort to read papers/research on my condition and various way of treating it in-between sessions. I was blown away with how committed everyone was to my recovery!

I am a new patron of Athletic Edge and thus far things have been great! The doctor that first met with me was thorough and provided excellent steps to take, and my Physio Therapist (Derek) has begun helping me put in the work to fix my knee. Top to bottom this place is excellent!

Agnes is a very thorough physiotherapist and she has helped me tremendously. She listens to my concerns and helps develop an individual care plan that is beneficial to me.

AESM is definitely one of the best if not THE best clinic in Toronto for injury treatment. I saw Corey for chiropractic care and he was phenomenal. He took his time to understand what was going on and did not rush the treatment. My condition was improved immediately and continued improving in the days after treatment as well. Highly recommend.

One the best place for any sort of sports or and injuries. As you walk in from the front desk you meet anyone working they are warm and look after your needs. Very polite I have been with dr lums and his staff over 8 years and they have saved both my knees getting operated. I would not go to any other clinic because of the smiling, caring staff and each and everyone those who work in Athletic Edge sport medicine are very professional in there own fields. Dr. Lum and the therapists are the most knowledgeable in their fields from any other sports therapy clinic that we have gone to. They offer quick and accurate assessment, and treatment plans, which process is critical for high performing athletes who need to get back on track as quickly as possible.Their facilities and equipment are current and up to date. From reception to discharge the service surpassed our expectations. They are conveniently located in downtown Toronto easily accessible from anywhere in the GTA.

Already with my first session with Alex, my overall system seems renewed. I can walk further with far less pain. And with her thorough analysis of my systems and home exercises given me, I can anticipate future great improvements.

I have been seeing Dr Sayde for a couple of years now. He is a very competent and thorough Sports Medicine doctor. He has provided me exceptional care which I am very grateful for. He is very congenial in his approach and he has been an integral part of my medical care. After my son was injured in a bike crash he saw him without referral and got excellent treatment as well. Strongly recommend you address your aches and pains with Dr Sayde. Shout out to the front of office staff for their professional services as well.

Phil Edwards really knows his stuff. I'm recovering from a Gr 3 AC joint separation and he has a very scientific and calculated approach which I appreciate. The hospital wasn't helpful with their advice and because I'm an arborist (Tree climber) and own my own business I was looking for a specialized and unique approach to get me climbing as soon as possible. I totally recommend Athletic Edge.

When I need help to fix what hurts, AESM has been my go-to team to get me feeling better and back on my feet.

Drs. Lum and Sayde are amazing. Phil Edwards has been my physiotherapist for many years. His technique in treating my frozen shoulder gives a lot of relief and keeps me coming back for more sessions. I highly recommend AESM to anyone in need of excellent intervention.

I would recommend NEVER going here. And if you do? NEVER get seen by AGNES. I was initially being seen by someone who left the clinic, and was shifted over to Agnes. Within the first couple of minutes of our session, I got a weird feeling from her. She didn’t seem completely there or like she knew what she was doing. She decided to do acupuncture for my neck and said she was certified. WITHOUT making me sign anything, which you’re supposed to do. As soon the needles were taken out, and I walked out the office, I felt a very weird burning sensation and pain in my lungs. I thought maybe it was muscular so I ignored it. Went to hospital the next day because it got worse. Got an X-RAY done and it turned out that my right lung had collapsed. The Dr confirmed this was in fact caused by the needle going too deep after I explained what happened. I was in the hospital for a week with chest tube and spent the next 3 months recovering. When I called the clinic and explain the situation, their response was, “Well what would you like us to do?”. Not taking ownership whatsoever. No remorse. And I’m sure Agnes is still there, performing acupuncture on clients.

Outstanding staff and treatments and Dr Lum is perhaps the best doctor I've ever had. His medical knowledge is extensive, he's extremely friendly and understanding, and he takes time to properly talk to patients. I've recommended Athletic Edge Sports Medicine to numerous others. I can't praise this clinic enough.

I always have a positive experience at AESM. They get me back on the field. Reception team is helpful, very friendly and efficient. Dr. Sayde provides excellent care. He’s very knowledgeable, completes careful analysis and gives clear explanations on the diagnosis and plan. Physiotherapy sessions have been with Tyler who is thorough, organized, comforting and is a good listener who is very keen to help. Wonderful team!
