There is NO museum any more (since 2019), but rather a private event venue that’s closed to general public. It was not clear from the information (especially the earlier reviews seem to indicate a museum that’s publicly available). Please be aware if you are thinking about visiting.

Prior employees running the not for profit were amazing, so great to work with. The new owners (Elevate) as of 2021 are so slimy and money-hungry. Trying to ruin the integrity of a historical building, consider themselves not for profit, but they increase prices three-fold and even if you sign a contract they provide and provide a deposit, they change conditions because they haven’t signed it despite that not being a condition previously. Generally once they literally accept your money into their bank account, it’s accepted. We got our full money back after we refused to work with a venue that is changing the integrity of the building and upping the fee. So glad we’re no longer working with them for our event

A small exhibit housed in an extraordinary Art Deco masterpiece of a building. The venue space is the former Toronto Stock Exchange trading floor.

Great event space. Attended an event in September 2023. Be aware that both Bay St. and Yonge St. are under major construction so there is significant gridlock in this area around rush hour.

I only visited once, years ago, for an exhibition. It seems to be undergoing renovations at this time, but they were design savvy while they undergo their transformation as they have a printed cloth with the facade of the building to cover-up the work. Bravo!

We had such a positive experience working with Design Exchange for our client's Corporate Awards Gala. We had 250 people in attendance, along with staff and performers. Throughout the planning process - Madison responded promptly to emails and accommodated us and our schedules with multiple site visits and accommodations. As we continued the planning process we had numerous changes and questions, it was evident that Design Exchange did whatever they could to ensure we were successful. The space itself - the trading floor is absolutely gorgeous! Everyone was wowed with the history of the building and being right downtown close to Union was very convenient. Our client had a wonderful time at our tasting and Madison ensured it was overall a special experience. The team and owner came to talk to our clients and ensure they were happy with the in house catering. Any adjustments we requested to our custom menu was accommodated without hesitation. Madison was patient with us as there were quite a few last minute adjustments. Onsite, Alan was fantastic with changing things the day of and helping staff set-up the room. Alan ensured all vendors were set-up and situated as needed. Madison was onsite early to assist us and our clients throughout the day and went above and beyond with checking in and flexibility. Nadia was onsite after Madison left and she was fantastic. Dinner service was quick and efficient, the team executed quickly and communication was fantastic as our program shifted quite a bit throughout the evening.

Imbued with history, great high ceilings, and a central location, this is a fabulous location. The only concerns I have are ones that are hard to address: it can be hard to find if you don't know where it is, and the entrance can be congested and busy. But once you're there and inside, it's great!!

Design and Finance The first building of Toronto Stock Exchange is now the DX where creative displays and events occur. Beautiful murals showing industries traded in public stock markets are embedded above the former trading floor: transportation and technology, infrastructure, construction and agriculture. Talks, events and exhibitions happen regularly for free and fee. The new TSX moved to another building at 130 King west and is stall tower with a modern trading floor and ticker board.

Amazing building with art deco architecture. Make sure to look out for the details! The TD complex has been built around (and on top) of it.

We hosted a corporate event at the design exchange and the venue (Trading Floor) is beautiful! The venue team was wonderful to work with and really went above and beyond. Highly recommend the space.

Historic trading floor that is no more. Feel the trading that happened here so long ago. Definite energy. Great space for large gatherings.

Brand New to disc golf and was recommended some very good discs! Love the fact that I found him in the parking lot of Centennial Park Disc Golf! Very knowledgeable and is willing to explain things to a new player so I understood better. Hope to run into them soon or buy some discs from their website!!! Stay safe and Healthy. Chuck-On!

Elevate Talent is educating new comers to Canada and underrepresented persons in IT and job advice and placement. You can find a career purpose with them. I got my opportunity here and I'm glad about the successful outcome.
