How did I not know about this hidden gem? A family friend told me to visit, and we did! Parking was plentiful, and free! I would highly suggest to the City, that signs be posted on how to actually get to the waterfront! After parking, the washrooms are to your right, and there seems to be a small walking trail to the left. So, which way to go? We ended up going left, which led us nowhere after a few minutes, but no problem we just backtracked. To the RIGHT, keep walking, and you will see a small underpass, take that and keep walking …. to the waterfront, and a bike trail. We took a ton of photos, and I always feel like I’m on vacation when I’m next to the water! Suggestions: 1. Take and wear sunscreen, and a hat 2. Bring a water bottle, there are no stores in the immediate area 3. Bring insect repellent, there are a lot of flies and mosquitoes 4. Wear comfortable shoes 5. I didn’t see any picnic tables, except near the entrance, so if you want to eat, you can do so before or after

Amazing views, nice paved walkway. Great place for families, friends and pet owners. There is a park and playground. Swings and a small fort with slide. A jungle gym set and a splash area in the Summer. For older kids & adults there is an outdoor fitness area, it was fun to flip and struggle with! Great exercise! πŸ˜„ You can get down to the waterline. The beaches have big pebbles, not too tough for walking. Parking is free. Washrooms were closed. (We went on a Sunday in Nov)

Parked at the Port Union Village Common Park, went east along the Waterfront Trail to Rouge River. Out and back was about 8km. It was a very busy trail, a cycling club with hundreds of people was there. It was a very hot day, most part of the trail was without shade. The lake breeze was very nice. The lake view was spectacular. A section of the trail east of a train station was smelly.

Port Union water front is a beautiful place to chill out during summer. It’s a great picnic spot as well. The trial along the beach is for walking and biking. The view of the lake is breathtaking, the roaring waters feels like the nature is talking to you. The park close by is a perfect place for kids to play and the water fountain in the park is great during sunny days. Perfect family and friends place to hang around. Kids love watching the go train from the park. The parking is adequate, you could also use the go parking space .

Let Them Explore !!! Port Union Waterfront Park is a great place for individuals, groups and families. There are many kilometres of well-kept trails and plenty of room for social and physical distancing. If you have young children this is a safe area for them to explore without being too dangerous. As always keep an eye on the kids when you're near the water, but at the same time let them run free. You can bike, hike, walk, skateboard, scooter and pack a picnic and find a cool place to chill. This is an all-ages park with many areas where you find can privacy or spend time with a larger group. On this day, a hot warm summer day, the closer you were to the water you could experience a nice cool, constant breeze coming off the lake, and it was very refreshing. This is a park you could spend the whole day enjoying.

Beautiful view after a walk and a very quiet place to hang around with people. After a walk through the road, the scenic waterfront is visible. The park has a well maintained cycle trail. A preferred place to enjoy evenings. Vehicle can be parked in the space without any fees.

A bit hot than expected. But the breeze from the lake is cool. There are pebble beaches and waterfront areas with shade and shelter that you can stay for a day.

NIce lakefront park and trail. There are lots of parking. A mini playground and water park for kids. A little gazebo. Beautiful quiet neighborhood. A little tunnel to the beach. The view of Lake Ontario is amazing. I enjoyed watching geese chill on the water. And the sound of waves is relaxing.

This trail is probably the most beautiful one yet in the GTA. The view is incredible and it is truly an amazing place for a lovely day by the waterfront. Highly recommend coming here! Would recommend wearing a mask here, can get very crowded and tough to social distance. Nonetheless, the park is very clean and has lots of parking.

Visit: October 2023 This park is beautiful. There's a lot of nice trails, a beach, and lots of rocks that stretch out into the water. It's very calm and a nice place to relax and chill. Very highly recommend going here!

The trail next to the lake offers breathtaking views and is a perfect spot for nature lovers. However, be prepared for a bit of a crowd, as the park tends to attract many visitors. The opportunity to swim and go canoeing in the lake adds an extra element of fun and relaxation to the experience. If you're not into water activities, you can still enjoy the surroundings by simply hanging out around the trail, taking in the serene atmosphere. Additionally, the trail is also suitable for cycling enthusiasts, making it a versatile destination for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds.

It’s relatively far less crowded compared to bluffs. Has a cool walking trail and definitely some good hidden spots to find a peaceful place and some good views. Water is extremely dirty when compared to bluffs but surely cleaner than rouge hill and the place is definitely not maintained or cleaned. Has a cool water fountain at the front that attracts kids and animals pretty quick. All in all a decent family place if you wanna avoid crowd at bluffs.

A very quiet and peaceful place to hangout with friends and family or even alone, take a walk, sit on park bench, walk on the stones near water. Lots of things to do while looking at a scenic spot. We went here in the evening and saw a beautiful sunset while walking on a dedicated trail.

Amazing place indeed. Considerable walking from parking to all the way to scenic places, but it’s worth it. We went right around sunset, and walked for an hour around the lake. Kids loved the play ground before and after. We found beautiful places for relaxing and taking pictures.

Amazing park. Water here is comparatively clean. A good trail to walk/bike. No real sand beach here though. Big enough parking lot. Lots of space to sit around and enjoy the view.

It's the best spot to watch the sun go down over the lake. The park is very peaceful and beautiful, with lots of green space and benches. I always feel relaxed and happy when I visit. Highly recommend it!

A great trail to follow along the water. So good to see families out having fun on bicycles, scooters or just walking. Highly recommend. We took the GoTrain there and it was a.short ride and honestly so worth it for a mini getaway

Port Union Waterfront Park offers a picturesque scene by the serene lake, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers. You can spend quality time watching birds, relaxing and enjoying the cool breeze. The park also features a well-maintained children's play area for family fun. Plenty of parking is available. For those arriving via transit, Rouge Hill Go station is conveniently nearby.

Love cycling on this trail; great views always. Even saw some swans a week and a half ago!! That was new β€” the unpleasant smell in some areas wasn’t unfortunately. Doesn’t ruin the experience though, just have to pass those areas. Overall, worth checking out.

Awesome place for a weekend trip. The whole place can be covered in bicycle or by walking. But what I felt was the place was a little bit crowded.

Great path by the water for a walk or bike ride. Had a playground by the parking lot. The parking lot gets full fast on nice days. It is a busy place with walking, biking, people sitting by the water on the large rocks. Has a few benches along the way. The "beaches" are gravel and the water can be rough. I really like this park to walk and then let the kids play. The park also has a splash pad.

Beautiful park, been here many many times. Wide walking paths and great scenery and clean. The graffiti’d tunnel has really beautiful artwork and a great entrance to the waterfront. Playground and lots of benches. Easy place to enjoy yourself. 5 STARS

Was a very nice time. Just to walk by the water with good views. Can either go on the rocks and sit out near the water. Or can go down lower to water if you keep walking down trail to where there is smaller rocks that has logs right by water. Good view of sun setting on water. Just a really nice place in general .
