I am in love with this place. It's such an authentic food with amazing service. People don't know the culture of middle East. Salim the owner is the sweetest person that is such a customer oriented man, he asks a lot of questions to understand your needs and deliver you the food that you will love. Def my go to place for amazing middle eastern food. Thank you very much Salim!

I went there with some colleagues for lunch and the whole experience was delightful. The beef shawarma was flavorful, with just the right amount of hummus, garlic and hot sauce. The salad was fresh and the whole thing was topped with parsley and onions. According to the owner, a very friendly man, everything was cooked with olive oil. The place has very few seats though which could be a problem for a big group during lunch time.

I happened upon Figs & Olives because I was lucky enough that google pulled it up when I searched “salads near me”, and man am I glad to have found it. I ordered the fresh fig salad and it was absolutely delightful! Fresh, very light, and exactly what I imagine when I imagine a refreshing salad. What’s more is I haven’t encountered service like this in a very long time. Saleem, the owner of this lovely cafe, happened to be behind the counter today when I went in. In the middle of making my salad, he realized the the arugula he had wasn’t as crisp as he’d like so he ran out to a store nearby to grab some fresh arugula. What a kind gesture — and one that tells me he cares about his food and his customer. Along with the salad I had a mint tea, made with fresh mint and dried sage - this paired very nicely with the salad. The place was extremely clean and well kept. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this little gem of a spot! I’m glad I found it, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Highly recommended. Passion and enthusiasm of Saleem in cooking and serving is what a restaurant needs. You feel home while eating. The spices used in the food made it fabulous. We ate two plates plus two teas and the totall price after tax was 40. It seems fair to me because I enjoyed every minute I spend there and definitely I will be back with my friends. (It is halal food if you care, otherwise think of a delicious dish at a middle eastern restaurant.) As a suggestion to the owner, it is better to print out the bill which this time we hadn't had.

Authentic middle eastern food made fresh with quality ingredients. Family owned and operated. We had lamb, shish tawook and falafel plate. Everything was excellent! Homemade mamouls with mint tea to finish off a great meal.

So amazing! The food was absolutely delicious — succulent lamb shoulder that fell apart in your mouth. Amazing flavors in all the sides and sauces. Cooked through to perfection. And, out of this world service — we were treated so well and so hospitably. Waited on, asked about allergies, customizations, and a treat at the end. Really, really wonderful place, and I can’t wait to come back.

This place is truly a gem. The best Mediterranean food I ever had. All the food is made fresh from scratch and with freshest ingredients. Taste is truly amazing and out of this world. Every item you try is something different and tastes the best. You must try their Spinach pie, falafel wrap, baklava, pistachio cookie and don't miss figs salad. Owners are very welcoming and warm people. They will make you feel at home as soon as you walk in. I had a wonderful experience.

I walk by this place often and always wondered how the food was. Went in a couple of weeks ago and met the owner, who is not only super nice but he is amazingly passionate about the food they serve. I tasted the falafel, hummus and chicken shawarma, all of which were spectacular. I can taste how fresh everything was. This is a pace that takes pride in what they do and their pride and passion is reflected in their food. This really is a neighbourhood gem. Update: went for a second visit and was warmly greeted by the owner again. I have been on an all protein diet recently and the owners were super accommodating and put together a beautiful chicken shawarma dish. My friend had a fresh fig and halomi salad and a side of falafel. It was a beautiful dish. Also a must have is the mint chai. Adding photos so you can see how gorgeous the dishes were.

The food tasted great and was fresh! The falafels were amazing and not greasy like many other places. The portion is also good and you can get a bit of salad/rice etc. the options are flexible. They serve conventional as well as more authentic dishes. Don't forget to get the kanafa! It's so yummy and has a homemade feel to it.

My wife, me and a friend visited this place on a Saturday evening. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. We had a taste of many of their home made sauces. Their ingredients are very fresh and the food is very tasty, second to none. We really enjoyed the dinner and the conversation with the owner couple. The dining experience is nothing short of spectacular. Strongly recommend this place to everyone who enjoy authentic middle eastern food.
