Such a great experience going for the tasting at Toben. Everyone was very helpful and informative. Service was great. The kitchen is big and beautiful and so well organized. We did a tasting of the menu and everyone really enjoyed everything. Proteins were cooked beautifully, and the gnocchi was fantastic. Was a great experience and can't wait to try more.

What an amazing experience with Toben and the entire team! Julie was an absolute pro, and so helpful and accommodating through out the entire process of planning for our wedding. They catered all of the food, staff and tableware rentals for the evening, and did an exceptional job. The food was incredible, and we are getting so many amazing comments from our guests as well. The staff were super helpful throughout the whole evening, before and after! It was a magical evening, and I cant thank Julie, Toben, and entire group enough. Definitely would recommend! 5 Star food and service, at a large capacity level. Amazing!

Our wedding was at the Globe and Mail Centre in August 2023 and we had Toben as our catering company. The food was beyond fantastic and the service was excellent. They even made some modifications to some of the choices in appetizers or mains to incorporate our ethnic (persian) background. Even to this day our guests cannot stop raving about the food from appetizers, to mains, dessert and even the late night snacks. Everything was just as we had tasted at our tasting if not more delicious. We all felt it was the best wedding food both our guests and we have ever had.

The best catering company available anywhere in Toronto. Their event management team make the entire experience of planning an event so simple and easy, from menu design to staffing , they help take care of everything you need to give you all the confidence you need to focus on other aspects of your event, in my case getting married. The food is so much better than I thought possible for a large-scale event, truly creative and unique menu items, amazing quality of ingredients, and perfect execution on the day of. We hired Toben for our wedding of 80 people a few weeks ago, and I am still getting compliments about how amazing the food was. Start to finish, Toben knows what they are doing, I would trust them with an event of any size and importance.

Food is delicious. Unfortunately the catering coordinator who was assigned to help me with our wedding food plan was not very personable or accommodating. The 3rd party serving company they used for our wedding was unprofessional, did not greet guests, people were served wrong dishes. Some dishes I ordered were not even made. I gave my seating list to the coordinator with exactly what each person was having. After the wedding I brought this to the coordinators attention. She said she was aware of the issues with that serving company as they had previous complaints. She said she didn't want to cancel their services and incur a cancellation fee. She was full of excuses and unapologetic. They should have made us aware of the issues with the serving company. My wedding was last year and to this day it still bothers me how they handled this.

Had the Red Wine Braised Short Rib and Tasting of Apples Salad. Both were delicious!

We hired TOBEN to be the caterer for our wedding at the Great Hall after our first tasting and they knocked it out of the park! It was very important to us to have good food and to make sure our guests didn't go hungry and TOBEN did not disappoint. We were lucky to work with Brittany who was amazing and so easy to plan with - she made excellent recommendations. Everything we chose was delicious - our guests constantly raved about the food. We had several different appetizers including lamb chops, truffle Mac and cheese, beef tartare, mushroom cakes, and fish Tacos. We loved the poached pear salad and the short rib and branzino were incredible (we also served an eggplant parmesan which we didn't try but our guests who ordered it also loved it), and finally the creme brûlée for dessert. We also had sliders and fries as late night snacks and our guests also said these were on point! The service staff they hired were also incredible and so attentive - everything was executed seamlessly. I am now looking for an excuse to host an event so I can hire TOBEN again to cater it. I catered a very last minute Christmas company event and had the best experience with Brittany A. She was able to accommodate us last minute and with our ever changing budget and menu. She was so patient despite it being the busiest time of year! Just when I thought we wouldn’t be able to pull it off, she was able to coordinate the entire thing for us. The service and food was amazing. Thank you for a very happy and full tummy!

We had Toben as our wedding caterer at Thompson Landry Gallery. The team was amazing, the food was phenomenal and we had a worry free experience with them. The team was super accommodating to changes we made along the way and unlike some other catering companies we tasted, not only did Toben’s food taste phenomenal but it truly felt like they wanted our business and they made recommendations which they thought were best for the unconventional style of wedding which we had! Really appreciate everything Toben did for us!

Toben Food by Design is one of the best caterers in the city. I've hired them for multiple corporate events and my clients have always been extremely happy and requested them again for the next event. They are highly professional, their food presentation is excellent and most importantly it's delicious!

On 1 September 2023 we hosted a post-wedding brunch for our son and new daughter-in-law, catered by Toben. At every stage--from preliminary consultation--including "mapping" set-up and space, ordering rentals, staffing, planning the menus--to deliveries and clean-up, Abby at Toben was brilliant (as well as thoughtful, patient and considerate). Everything on the day of the brunch was perfect, somehow brighter and more elegant than I'd initially imagined. And the food was delicious. Everyone loved it, everything from the mini-frittatas to the salads and french toast. The two staff people sent were generous and professional at every moment. They set up everything beautifully and were carefully attentive to our guests and made it easy to restore our house to its pre-brunch state. It was a memorable way to conclude the formal wedding celebrations. We are so very grateful to Abby, the chef at Toben, the staff and to all of the people we know worked so flawlessly together to make the event a joy for us all.

It was my first time ordering from Toben this holiday weekend. Ordered the Pass Over menu and everything was delicious—hickory smoked brisket, potato purée, asparagus, Brussel sprouts, heirloom carrots, pavlova—for a stress free celebration in these stressful times! would highly recommend TOBEN. Every detail from inception (first phone call with Beth) to event time, was handled professionally. Food was excellent, wait staff were professional and courteous, chefs were friendly and diligent in their craft. Ian (head waiter) a rock star (thanks Ian for handling everything that nite!) and Wayne (server) tended to every guest's needs without ever being asked. 5 star is an easy review. would use them again in a second.

Tried out “Luke”, Toben’s first series of pop-up dinners and it was fantastic! For $65, we were served a 9-course meal. Even though drinks are not included, this is still a phenomenal value. For my particular meal, all dishes were Asian themed and we especially enjoyed the charred octopus and the Korean fried wings. We recently had Toben cater our Covid wedding... Their service and food was beyond our expectations. They went above and beyond in every way and cared for our guests as tho they were family. A huge thank you to everyone who made our event absolutely perfect and to Kira who arranged and planned everything. You guys are amazing!

Toben catered our backyard wedding and they were excellent from start to finish. Brittany was our event manager, and she, along with her colleagues, were friendly, professional, and were instrumental in our event running smoothly. And all our guests loved the food!

I cannot speak highly enough about the team at Toben! It was a looong road to our wedding. We first reached out to Toben 3-4 years ago as we were originally planning for May 2020. We tasted with 5-6 caterers in Toronto and Toben was on another level relative to others at their price point. Obviously, our wedding was postponed and finally happened this past Saturday. The Toben team (specifically Beth) was so helpful every step of the way. They guided us, were always very quick to respond when we had questions, and were so kind and accommodating when our plans changed 100 times. At the wedding, everything was perfect! We went cocktail style with passed food throughout the evening. Everyone raved about the food (and this was a tough crowd). We had several people with allergies/sensitivities. Beth helped us choose items that would work, making adjustments to individual items when necessary. My sister (main allergy culprit) asked one of the servers what she could have (even though I painstakingly printed off a series of detailed menus and had them on display...) and they brought her a heaping tray of safe options. She was in heaven. We all were. Would use Toben again and again and again. Highly recommend! Thanks again!

Toben catered my wedding, and I have nothing but great things to say. The food was excellent, the staff were amazing and professional and even though my seating got all messed up due to poor planning on my part, Brittany and her team got everything handled discretely and made sure my guests all received the correct food. Set up was excellent and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to run my wedding. Brittany worked with me throughout the whole process (I only planned my wedding in 4 months) and was nothing but fantastic at her job. I recommend Toben to anyone looking for great food and a seamless event! I have to say again the food was so good my guests messaged me after asking me where it was from!

Toben recently catered a very special event for our family. His team executed every element of the night seamlessly. They ensured there were enough staff that you never had to look far for one of the delicious and artistically plated hors d'oeuvre. The food stations moved very quickly so that no one had to wait for their mains. The staff were polite and friendly and made sure to take extra special care of those guests with allergies. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every bite was so flavourful and delicious. All of the guests commented on how amazing the food was. Brittany, the event coordinator was wonderful to work with and made sure we got exactly what we wanted every step of the way. Toben and his team made sure everything was perfect and we couldn’t be happier to have chosen his team for this special occasion.
