Veloute is a hidden gem that brings something really special to the Humber Bay shorelines community (previously Veloute was in the Beaches on queen st e....where they were a neighbourhood favorite for many years). Intimate setting, attentive team, Alise and her husband immediately make you feel right at home. The menu offers classics like steak frites, rack of lamb, crab and lobster cakes, Caesar salad, canelloni, even a gourmet burger a couple nights a week. Creme brule......and the steak? So tender, and the salad and appetizers were a hearty size. Hidden away inside Palace Pier condos (which as a realtor I can tell you is one of the finest condos in the city even 4+ decades after it was built) you simply pull up to the valet for free valet parking, and walk through the condo lobby to the restaurant which is up one flight of stairs. I can't express how special this restaurant is, Humber Bay doesn't have anything like it. Also a great bar area for catching a game. Highly recommend!

Thoughtful. Exceptional quality. The chef, waiter and the owner understand culinary arts. The Wasabi roe on my salmon gave it the perfect crunchy burst of flavor. The balsamic vinegar is amazing. We were treated as honored guests. We shall return. It won't be long before a table is unattainable.

4.5 stars. Second time here, once was for Summerlicious. Beautiful ambiance There's patio spaces both at the front and rear of the restaurant. Service is superb. They've got a great selection and also do have set menu prices, awesome. Restaurant was clean and food was presentable. Food is exceptional. Only thing to note crostini served with the appetizers were disproportionate, I.e. Foie gras and tuna tartar only came with two crostinis each which I found strange lol.

The tastiest food I've had in a long time. Everything freshly prepared combined with the amazing service made this experience life remembering! A must visit for anyone that enjoys food and wine! The quality of the food is the highest you'll find in Ontario! Just bread, olive oil and balsamic was an explosion of flavors, now imagine the actual food!

We went here to try this restaurant for Winterlicious, and overall can say we enjoyed our meal and the service. Our severs name was Thomas. I ordered their Bellini which tasted nice, they had two options: mango or peach. Before the appetizers the server suggested that we try their bread service, so we did and we are glad that we did, as their bread is made in house and it was great. We are disappointed that we weren't told the price was $4 (however we heard our server tell another table the price when he suggested it to them). To start we had the crab cakes and tuna tartare - both tasted good, however the tuna tartare had wasabi in it so it was slightly off-putting for me personally (but my husband didn't mind it). Their crab cakes were I think a bit more crunchy than others I've had and a bit dry (we had to ask for lemon to squeeze on both apps). I don't think we would order these again though. For our main course: we had the Bouillabaisse and their lamb. I asked for my lamb to be cooked medium rare but I felt it was more so on the rare side, I also had to ask for salt as I felt my lamb needed it. My husband enjoyed his Bouillabaisse but he felt that it was slightly lacking in seasoning and needed some salt. Keeping in mind that we'd prefer to have to add salt then it be over seasoned. My husband also got more bread to have with the sauce. For dessert we had the eclair and chocolate mousse, both which were great. From everything we had the eclair was our favorite as it was not overly sweet. We did not enjoy the dark-ish lighting in the restaurant though, as their ceiling was a clear glass panel so you could see outside and given that it gets dark quite early more lighting would have been appreciated.

Visit 2 : Great time as always, the drinks were absolutely fantastic and the food 🤌 Definitely one of the best restaurants in Toronto for a wonderful meal. Every single dish we tried was great, but I’m biased towards the Goats Cheese and Beets dish, The duck confit and the chocolate mousse. You can’t not try these. Will definitely come back here. 😇

Amazing food and service! We ordered the lobster and it was huge. The garlic butter made it taste even better. We also enjoyed the venison rack. It’s so tender. Our server Ty was cheerful and friendly. We would definitely visit again. The restaurant is inside the condo clubhouse so it might take some time for you to find your way. Underground parking was complimentary.

I had a fantastic experience at Veloute @ Palace Pier this week to celebrate my sister's birthday. The French cuisine by chef Fawzi was exquisite and the unique atmosphere of the restaurant made the occasion truly special. To top it off, the owner Alise serenaded us with her beautiful singing, which was a highlight of the evening. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food and an unforgettable experience.

The food was absolutely delicious! Service was incredible!! Special thanks to chef Fawzi - he took such wonderful care of us.. in addition to preparing our dinners, he helped my daughter to the table via the stairlift. It’s a privilege to celebrate special events at a place where you are valued. Will definitely return!

We dined here this evening for the first time & we were very impressed with the scrumptious food & service. Fine dining, gourmet food & service at its best. We had a variety of appetizers & main entrees & everything was delicious & presented beautifully. Impressive wine list too. Topped the meal off with their homemade chocolate eclair which we brought home to enjoy. This is our new favourite restaurant & we are so fortunate that we can just walk there. We look forward to many more enjoyable meals in this lovely restaurant.

My husband took me to Veloute for dinner and we could not have been more impressed with the food and the service. The personnel including the owner made us feel like we were the only ones at the restaurant. They were attentive but not overly so. Friendly and considerate. The food was fantastic perfectly cooked and seasoned. But by far the dessert took the prize. I love my cheesecake. It is my go to dessert. The cheesecake at Veloute is the absolute BEST I have ever tasted. I am already making plans to return.

I arrive at this special restaurant from time to time since I enjoy the special atmosphere that is characterizes this place. The staff is very loyal and qualified. The service is deeply efficient. Most important, the food they serve is good. I have been there many times and I was always pleased. The payment is decent. I highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends.

Cozy and intriguing spot by the water - hats off to the Chef and staff who were all attentive & welcoming. Food was delicious: oysters, burrata, gnocchi, duck confit & cheesecake!

Absolutely fantastic experience. The food is delicious and for what they are offering, it’s a good price. I ordered the beef tartare and duck confit and they were perfectly balanced with saltiness and spice. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Shoutout to our waiter Zin for doing a spectacular job. Overall, I enjoyed every moment from start to finish. The chef came over to get our input and everyone who worked there was incredibly nice. Other notes: This place is accessible The menu items can be customized if you reach out 24 hours prior

We had a great time dining in this restaurant. I love how intimate it feels when you enter this beautiful place. Plus factor that it has a valet service. No more worries on the parking slots. Also, I highly commend the staff for showing exemplary service and being very accommodating. Additionally, I was impress on the food presentation and it leaves a sensation on one’s palate.

This was our second visit to Velouté. Once again, it did not disappoint!! Fawzi and Alise are the friendliest and most attentive hosts we have ever experienced at any restaurant. And the food exceeds their personalities. This night our mains were lobster ravioli and braised short ribs. They were both amazing dishes. It happened be my wife’s birthday. Alise actually surprised my wife with a beautiful creme brûlée and then proceeded to sing her Happy Birthday. She has an absolutely beautiful voice. Their service staff are as friendly and attentive as they are as well. As good as the food is here, the hosts are even better. The service is so personal and welcoming. Where else on the Lakeshore does the chef come out of the kitchen to make sure you are enjoying the meal he’s prepared for you? This is a hidden gem located on the main floor of Palace Pier Condominiums that needs more recognition and exposure. It is, hands down the best food experience in South Etobicoke. We already look forward to the next time we have a meal there. You will not be disappointed… give it a try!!!!

We did Summelicious here last week and it was amazing. The food was on point. The quantity was generous. Everything everyone ate was great. The service was perfect. The only reason I gave it a 4 is the decor is poor for a place serving this style/ price point of food. The menu is upscale but the decor is mediocre. Will return for their burger specials.

Rarely do you ever see this level of attention to detail. If you appreciate authentic French cuisine, then u need to try Veloute Bistro. I took my wife here for her birthday and she was amazed. This is the restaurant for for peiple that appreciate finer details.

This is the restaurant which put food quality on first priority. Whenever the chef finds something good, he puts them on the special menu - that’s why they have a bi-weekly (sometimes weekly) changing special menu, and this menu is where the true pearl hides. Their waiters really know their dish, even its a special menu changes every two weeks. It feels like they’ve actually eaten most of the dishes on their menu.

An amazing restaurant, with amazing food, service, views and ambiance. Had Mother’s Day brunch there and it was probably the best brunch we have ever had. I’m definitely making this a staple and will be back over and over again. The food was perfect, definitely hats off to the chef. The prices are very fair for the portions and menu selections. Can’t wait to come back.

We ordered takeout from the prix fixe menu to celebrate my birthday, hoping to come as close as we could to a “nice restaurant” experience at home. We were both delighted with the food from Veloute! Everything was delicious, and also held up well during transit from the restaurant to our home. Service was friendly and welcoming even just for takeout. It was a treat to have such a delicious meal and made it feel like a special occasion even though we couldn’t celebrate the way we usually would. We’ll definitely be back once it’s safe to eat there in person!

An absolute gastronomic experience. They were very accomodating and the chef is a fun and friendly guy who takes his food seriously. Cocktails were yummy and strong, the food was to die for, perfectly crispy and tender duck confit. Everything we had was the best we ever had.
