So bummed out by what has become of this place. Used to be the best animal hospital in the entire city. Then they merged with another clinic, their entire staff walked out, and there is currently 1 doctor instead of the usual 5 or 6. She is apparently on vacation until the 12th. Meanwhile, my dog is in serious leg pain and has trust issues with going to other vets. They used to see us at a moment's notice and be all about compassion and making it work. How are you going to run a clinic with one vet? They might as well just shut things down or at least put this vital info in their pre-recorded message that you hear when you call in. The receptionist is lovely to deal with and so is Dr. Alcot, but everyone is spread too thin and that's clearly due to a poor administration in this takeover.

We started seeing Dr. Kathy Alcock at her previous clinic, and have since followed her to Kew Beach. We have a high-needs rescue dog that we adopted from THS, and Dr. Alcock has been instrumental to getting her to where she is today. Initially, Dr. Alcock had a thorough "sit down" appointment with us to learn more about Gaia and her needs. We really appreciated this opportunity to go through everything. Dr. Alcock then got us started on a gradual program to ensure that our issues were not stemming from pain. Once pain was ruled out, Dr. Alcock worked closely with us to create an appropriate medication regimen. Everything was slow and well thought out, and Gaia is in a much better place now with her anxieties. I really appreciated how we carefully tried things, instead of jumping into a solution without any knowledge. Every step was thoroughly explained to us, and we knew exactly what we were trying at all times. We have continued to see Dr. Alcock since, driving all the way from West Mississauga, which is where we moved. It's worth the drive as this is a Fear Free Certified practice, and it shows. From Dr. Alcock to the team of vet techs, everyone is extremely professional and compassionate with every animal in the clinic. The ability of the staff to make both animals and parents feel comfortable, at ease and content is remarkable. They use treats and other distractions to effortlessly perform tests. It's truly a stress-free experience. I cannot say enough amazing things about everyone we encounter at this clinic. I would recommend Dr. Alcock and her team to anyone, but especially those with high needs animals who need extra consideration to how they are handled. It's very difficult to find Fear Free Certified veterinarians, and Dr. Alcock is one of the best. Sincerely, thanks for everything you have done for us, and I look forward to continuing to work with you and the team well into the future. This is a top notch clinic in Toronto and the GTA.

The absolute worst vet we have ever been to. They care more about taking your money than the actual well being of your fur babies. Abhorrent behavior and a cash grab attitude. Avoid at all costs. These people should be ashamed of themselves.

We had a great experience with my dog's neutering at Kew Beach. The staff is amazing - both during pre-op and the day of, they answered all of our questions and kept us informed about all of our options. My dog also loves the staff which is a huge bonus! Highly recommend.

A dog owner who attacked my friend (caught on video) was able to get my friend's address, email and phone number from the receptionist. My friend who is living in fear now inquired at the vet, as to why they gave out the information. "Company Policy" The police are now involved.

We brought our beloved kitty, Oskar in with a complicated illness. Dr. Debbie saw him initially and then Dr. Kathy continued with us. Both doctors called me after hours and showed great compassion and thoroughness. We are grateful for all they did for Oskar and continue to do for our other baby.

I have had several vets over the years and I can honestly say that the way Kew Beach Animal Hospital has stood out as the best Veterinary clinic I have visited. I have two cats (one who is quite young with some respiratory issues and the other who is middle aged/elderly and finds vet visits extremely stressful). In both instances, the staff, vets and technicians at Kew Beach were fantastic and showed the kind of empathy and understanding which is so important when caring for animals. This was coupled with expertise and abilities to focus on the problem at hand which create a course of treatment which was targeted at the issue, avoiding unnecessary procedures and costs. I really cannot thank them enough for their treatment and handling of Chloe and Felix and will definitely be going back/recommending to others.

Had to take my bunny in for an urgent appointment Dr Kathy and the whole team were helpful and very nice. It's hard to find a good vet that is able to treat rabbits and we're so happy with our experience.

I bought a bag of cat food from Kew Beach tonight. This is not my normal vet, but the food was out of stock at Beaches Animal Hospital, where I normally go. For a 4-kg bag, I was charged $118, and immediately knew I was being ripped off. I called Beaches to confirm, and sure enough, this same 4-kg bag would have cost me only $103 down the street. Just thought I'd share, in case you also feel like you are being charged too much for pet food at Kew Beach (because you probably are).

The vet and the assistants were great. Handled the youngest one very well to make sure she didn't get scared and freak out. Reasonable priced.

Bless this hospital. They helped me through such a difficult time with my cat Marvin ❤ They were there around the clock right up until the end. They are such caring people to your pets and to the owners. I have anxiety issues and their kindness and patience really helped me. Thank you all of the team members but especially to Dr. K. Alcock and Dr. Ali ❤ Thank you so much for doing all you could do for Marvin. He and I are eternally grateful.

I am so very grateful for the professional and compassionate care that Kew Beach Veterinary Hospital has provided for my labradoodle over the past 10 years and counting! The vets and support staff are excellent, always taking the time to thoroughly discuss my dog's care and any treatment required. I am so grateful to have such great vets right in my neighbourhood!

The service we have received at Kew Beach Veterinary Hospital has been exceptional! We are first-time puppy parents to our rescue Humphrey and we've had A LOT of questions along the way. Everyone from the front reception to the amazing doctors have all been wonderful. We are very pleased with the care Humphrey has received and would definitely recommend Kew Beach Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for a new vet.

I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent care that Bertram received at Kew Beach Veterinary Hospital. He was rescued by us when his previous owner abandoned him. For 14 years, Kew Beach Vets got us through many adventures with Bert including Bert having heart worm right out of the gate. He was a faithful companion and when our senior sniffer had dental issues, Dr. Skinner recommended dental surgery that gave him a new lease on life and I believe was responsible for giving him another 1 1/2 years with us for which I will be always grateful.

Was so thankful for these guys! Just moved to the area and had a bit of emergency, after trying er vets with no luck they were able to squeeze me in and take care of my dog! Everyone seems friendly so far! Look forward to having these guys as my dogs new vets! Edit*** this vet turned very co-operate about 8 months ago and I had to leave them as all their main vets quit, hours resourced, and staff are too busy to answer phone lines, and good luck making a appointment :(

I've had pets my entire life, and have been to a handful of different clinics over the years. This clinic is incredible. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and understanding. Our vet is Dr. Ali and I cannot speak more highly of her. She's very thorough, and very human- she cares about the animals very, very much. They make you feel like part of the family. I couldn't recommend more highly!

This place is phenomenal. We changed vets at a time when in-person visits weren’t possible, so we couldn’t go in with our dog and were a bit worried because he’s 95 lbs of anxious excitability. Dr. Skinner was so patient with him, talked to us on the phone to let us know how he was doing, and gave him time to adjust and feel comfortable before starting the exam. Dr. Skinner gave us great recommendations, listened to all our questions and concerns, and all with such care and patience and good humor. All of the vet techs / staff we interacted with were equally kind and patient with our big goofball. 5 stars isn’t enough to express our gratitude!

A few weeks ago our dog Rupert was experiencing continuous vomiting and diarrhea all night. The emergency vet had a 6+ hour waiting time. I called Kew Beach as soon as they opened and they were able to take in Rupert right away for tests and after-care. Dr Alcock was amazing and talked us through all of the results and medications prescribed. She even texted me after-hours to check on Rupert. Laura at the front desk fielded so many calls from me and was extremely supportive and empathetic. I am so happy we chose Kew Beach as Rupert's vet when we got him a few years ago. Thankfully he hasn't had to visit too often, but all of my experiences have been great, even as they are dealing with understaffing. Thank you Kew Beach team!
