    Awesome hidden gem in Toronto. I've done fully private and group session at CG and always get a great workout and good advice. I've been using the space for a few years and the CG team has really helped me reach my fitness goals. Thanks Sope!! Sam.

    Rob is an excellent trainer. His focus on form and technique has helped me to get rid of my intense lower-back pain that would flare up every time I did a deadlift or back squat at the gym on my own. I am always looking forward to working out with him. Training at common ground has been the best investment I have made for myself in a long time.

    I have been a client of Sopearin’s and Common Ground for many years. Sope’s dedication to physical fitness and customized workouts is second to none. He is an incredible motivator and knows how to keep every work out interesting. Sope has also trained my daughter and kept her in great shape in ski off season. Common Ground’s boutique style gym is always welcoming, the trainers are friendly, it is spotlessly clean and there is never any judgment.

    I started taking the strength and lift class with Daniela over half a year ago and only have good things to say! I had never trained with heavy weights before and she helped so much with my form and understanding. I really appreciate how knowledgeable she is! It's been helping my confidence a lot and recently I've been attending more classes, including strength and conditioning with Jenny, who is also fantastic! I'd recommend these classes to anyone looking for a friendly atmosphere to workout in.

    I have been training at Common Ground for over 2 years now and can only say amazing things. I chose this gym specifically because the staff always makes me feel welcome, everything is clean and I feel amazing after every workout. Sope trains in a way where I consistently feel challenged but he stays within my limits. He caters to my fitness goals and is extremely knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this boutique gym!

    I had a very good experience at Common Ground. I trained with Adam, and over 3 months I gained muscle mass and definition, lost 10 lbs, and rediscovered my self-motivation. Adam is knowledgeable, professional and his sessions were perfectly paced to be challenging but not defeating. He provided me with an at-home plan, nutritional help for fat loss and was available to answer questions or concerns. He also helped me to strengthen a post-surgery muscle. Common Ground provides a professional, quality service that got results for me.

    I took semi-private sessions here with my friend. Unfortunately, neither of us were happy about the services given, and the cleanliness of the studio. First of all, our main goal was weight loss, and we told this initially. But neither our body measurements taken, nor we weren't advised to do so, or how they'll shape a plan for us. I guess it plays a vital part in to see the progress, and change the training according to that if necessary. So I wondered, how a trainer can measure our progress, or write a training programme for our needs. We've been to several gyms in our life and we believe, this is something key, especially if you take private lessons from a trainer. All sessions were like, come train and go. No progress tracking, no advices given on the way to achieve the goal. Just training and see you later. The only good side was, the exercises were not boring a single day, and our trainer was a nice and friendly person. The whole thing was good for strength perhaps, but not as good as expected for cardio or getting private coaching here to achieve your goals. I don't see the private training benefit in this one in our case. Last but not least, the hygiene of the studio wasn't in a good shape. Dust and ball of hair on the floors. The changing room was a mess to be honest. I wondered how often the place was cleaned. Plus there isn't much space for to change your clothes. Especially the small studio has no changing room but a very small WC. No lockers, as far as I've seen, or not been introduced to. I'm sorry to say that, this wasn't a good experience, especially for the price paid and nowhere near the expectations. There are much better alternatives laid out in the area.

    Sope is a knowledgeable, thoughtful trainer. He makes it a fun workout and keeps an eye on your form - which not a lot of other gyms do (especially big classes). With a small, intimate group, I was able to incorporate a thorough body workout - a great start to my Saturday!

    I’ve been training with Jenny for a few months now and have been absolutely loving it! As someone who has always been intimidated by the gym, Jenny and the Common Ground team have been super welcoming and supportive. I’ve seen a huge improvement in my strength, health and confidence and couldn’t be more thankful for that! 🙏🏼 You guys are THE BEST!

    2nd time working out with Mr Rob Lopez as always a good workout and burning a lot of calories. Takes the time to work 1:1 and is a caring guy. Cheers thank letting me join when I came in 20 mins left to the class. 🙏❤️

    THE BEST TRAINING IN THE CITY! I always have such an amazing time with my trainer Adam, the workouts are intense, but always so much fun. I always feel so incredible and confident after. The entire Common Ground team is amazing. You will feel so comfortable while training and they really want to help you reach your best goals. If you want results while having fun, this is the place to go!

    It’s been years… and I won’t stop going back. Great service, great community, and great gym!! Product: 10/10. I worked out with Sope hundreds of times - and boy, do you feel like you put in work. I will say, the great thing about them is they can work around injuries and work closely with you Physio/Chiro to make sure you’re able to maximize your workout. It’s this that separates CG from everyone else in the market. Class are a great size and great community. Service: 10/10. Class are easy to sign up for. And 1:1 training is beyond what I expected. You truly get white glove treatment. Environment: 20/10. For the first time, giving a 20! The gym is great. Always get what you need - highly instagrammable, the music is great. I mean… it’s a vibe. If you don’t believe me… go check it out yourself!

    I have had the pleasure of training with several trainers at Common Ground. Not only are both of their facilities gorgeous, but they are also exceptionally well equipped with every piece of equipment you could imagine! They are highly knowledgeable regarding training, and no two sessions will ever be the same. They have pushed me to my limits and genuinely care about their clients and finding a program that works for them. My body transformed once I trained consistently with them, and I am so pleased with the results. It’s a fun and energetic environment; everyone makes you feel extremely welcome. Definitely my favourite gym in the city!

    Seriously, if you're looking for a personal training gym, look no further! The facility is a boutique intimate style gym which I love that is centrally located by the waterfront with great atmosphere. My trainer Sopearin is super motivating and really pushes me to help me achieve my goals. I've been seeing him for the last three months and I feel so much more confident and stronger than ever. The workouts are fun and challenging and I've become so addicted to the progress. Every week I always look forward to coming here and leave feeling great!

    Best training in Toronto!! I've been training with Kati and Griffin and do his classes as well which are crazy intense (in the best way). I always leave the gym feeling super great and motivated. They create such a welcoming environment and make you feel so comfortable while training. Definitely a place to go for a fun and rewarding workout!

    I’ve been training with Common Ground for quite some time now (specifically Adam). Going into my training I was hesitant, a little stand off-ish, and I felt insecure about lifting any type of weight. I was also dealing with quite a bit of mobility issues/pain. My journey with Adam and the Common Ground team has been incredible. I not only feel way more confident within the gym, but my movement has improved ten fold. Adam is super knowledgeable about fitness and the human body, he is super supportive, AND he really works with your schedule to accommodate a busy person like myself. If you’re looking for a safe space to learn and see significant change- I’d 100% recommend Common Ground. I’m forever grateful for this space and this amazing team.

    I would highly recommend Common Ground! It’s a great space with highly knowledgeable, encouraging and motivating trainers that will do everything possible to work hand in hand with you to reach your fitness goals. I’ve been training with Adam for almost 6 months now and honestly it is the best investment I have made and will continue to make..     Griffin is an amazing trainer! I've been training with him for 4 months and I've noticed huge differences in my health and fitness. Griffin has helped me work towards and reach my fitness goals by catering our sessions specifically to my body type and fitness experience. As well he's helped motivate me to maintain a healthy diet and exercise schedule outside of our sessions. I would highly recommend Griffin to anyone who is looking for a personal trainer. I'm so happy with my experience at Common Ground with the trainers and the amazing classes they provide! Common Ground may be in "the 6" but they're a 10/10!!!

    I highly recommend working out at Common Ground. It is a great space with even better trainers. Adam trains me and my significant other and we can't believe the transformation we've both seen! Every workout with Adam is meticulously thought out, challenging and fun. Adam has inspired us to far surpass our goals. Cannot recommend Common Ground enough!

    The fact that I have been able to consistently come here for over a year (coming up on 2!) is reason enough for me to safely say it's because I believe in the trainers at CG! But it's not only the trainers; the community they've built has me coming back for group classes and personal training time and time again. I'm not a morning person - at all - but I can wake up for a morning workout feeling motivated to work hard, knowing that I'm supported by those around me in this space. I've made friends here, the workouts are always fun & tailored for all fitness levels, and the trainers are knowledgeable and care about helping you achieve your goals. Highly recommend to anyone looking for smaller group classes or personal training in downtown Toronto!

    I’ve waited a few sessions to leave this review as I’m a very picky person when it comes to training. From start to finish, I have been completely comfortable and motivated with my trainer, Sopearin. I knew I had a lot to work on and would be surrounded by more experienced and fit people. But every single trainer and guest at the gym were so welcoming and encouraging! Such a positive place to go to to achieve your goals and feel safe and confident in doing so. Sope gave me educated, tailored feedback based on my personal goals and progress. I HIGHLY recommend Common Ground - for newbies like me or seasoned vets!

    I have been training with Griffin for nearly 4 months now and I am in the best shape I have ever been. I have decided to continue personal training because the results I get are drastically more significant than if I were to just go to a gym. I chose to train with Griffin but I really enjoy how friendly yet professional and knowledgeable all of the other trainers are as well. The gym is boutique style which makes it feel very private and exclusive. I don't plan on stopping any time soon!

    I’ve only had the most amazing experience at Common Ground Gym! My trainer Sopearin is amazing. He makes you feel comfortable, will work with you on a personal fitness program and is very positive and fun. His virtual sessions are also really well curated and easy to do while not in-person. I would highly recommend Common Ground to anyone looking for a supportive team, positive atmosphere, and overall awesome fitness facility that yields you results on your fitness journey!

    I reached out to Common Ground for two primary reasons: to strengthen the muscles around my knees, including quads, hamstrings, and glutes, and to address my back posture. Both issues had caused me significant discomfort for years, exacerbated by my scoliosis and a torn R ACL earlier this year. Recognizing that physiotherapy alone wouldn't suffice, I sought specialized help. Sope, the gym owner, attentively listened to my health and fitness goals. He designed workouts that specifically targeted my concerns, ensuring the safety and comfort of my knee. Later, Rob, another personal trainer at the gym, devised a detailed plan with achievable health objectives for me. Rob's meticulous attention ensured proper body alignment in every workout, making adjustments as needed. By my third month, the pain and instability in my knee and lower back had drastically reduced, allowing me to climb stairs without anxiety and cease pain medications. With my main objectives accomplished, I continue attending Common Ground because of its supportive, warm and welcoming community. I wholeheartedly believe this gym has greatly improved my health and would strongly recommend it to friends and family.
