The best gym I've ever been to. Felt totally welcomed here, I'm by no means fit or strong but have been encouraged constantly and I'm seeing results. They've also modified workouts for me so that I could come back and feel better after surgery. I can't say enough good things about this place. Everything about my day is better when I start it here.

Lift is a great gym, friendly to all levels of fitness and to all people :). Here’s some specific thoughts on it: - Work outs (5/5): Well structured, typically 1hr hybrid classes - starting with a warm up, then some strength training (practicing form here) and ending with some cardio / active movements. - Instructors (5/5): Super friendly, my favourite is Jess! But they all know you by your name and they check on your form and movements throughout the workout. - Facility (4/5): A bit small but it’s located downtown Toronto. It’s typically clean, and depending on the instructor you’d get a different music playlist. - Community (4.5/5): I’m more of an introvert so it’s a bit strange to chat while working out but there’s typically some events that connect the community. Overall, everyone’s pretty nice. You also become a “lifter” once you join the gym l, and they may reward you with a t-shirt once you complete 100 classes. I like this gym, and it deserves a 5/5. Management is also very open to feedback.

I'm relatively new to Lift, having started about two weeks ago. My motivation for getting back into lifting stemmed from my desire to return to the gym after a prolonged hiatus due to an injury. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I set up a home gym, and went to various gyms/classes, but I struggled to find the motivation to train consistently. At 43 years old, I was determined to achieve my fitness goals, so I decided to give Lift a try. I'm thrilled that I discovered this place because it has exceeded my expectations. The people here not only exhibit kindness but also demonstrate impressive levels of fitness. This includes both the trainers and the fellow lifters I work out alongside. This positive environment, which also maintains an element of healthy competition is exactly what I needed to reignite my fitness journey. While I recognize that I'm still far from my desired fitness level, I am absolutely confident that I will reach my goals. The encouragement and positive atmosphere here, where you put in your best effort during your workout sessions and still walk away feeling fantastic, are truly game-changers.

Love the atmosphere and the benefits I get out of the group classes. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and all have unique coaching techniques. Lift staff and its members are very welcoming and encouraging! I was initially intimidated by those around me but that feeling disappeared quickly. Lift constantly pushes me to improve my fitness goals and holds me accountable. Definitely worth checking out!

I'm a huge fan of Lift Corktown. The facility is always immaculate and organized, the trainers are always super welcoming and knowledgeable and their community is laudable. I frequent their 6AM Burn classes (whenever possible with my schedule) and look forward to throwing myself in their CrossFit classes in the coming months! What really struck me the first time I set foot in their doors was their understanding of the importance of making everyone feel welcome: Josh and Laura, specifically, took the time to put my name to my face RIGHT AWAY and made absolutely sure to give me 1:1 attention (even when the classes were bigger/filled with more of their regulars). Much love, Lift Corktown. Excited to involve myself more and more through the remainder of 2020.

Lift is a non-affiliated gym that offers CrossFit style workouts. The facilities are spacious and well maintained, the coaches are approachable and never pushy, the community is friendly, and any type of admin question I had was always addressed on time. 10/10 if the membership is within your budget.

Amazing gym with a very fun and supportive atmosphere. The coaches do an excellent job of catering to all different skill and fitness levels. Also, I thoroughly enjoy the variety of the work outs and how they incorporate outdoor exercises into the standard classes (weather permitting). The gym itself is very high-quality and has loads of natural light with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Amazing facility and well equipped. What makes it awesome though are the amazing, inclusive and educated coaches and supportive members. Being new to CrossFit when I started at Lift about 8 months ago, I always felt welcome and a part of something regardless of skill level. Highly recommend!

I was fairly new to lifting before joining Lift Corktown but thanks to the super knowledgable trainers and fellow lifers, I've seen a huge improvement in the way I look and feel. The attention to detail in the programming is second to none. I've activated muscles in my body that I never even knew existed before! I always look forward to coming in for a good sweat sesh! Love this place.

Fantastic CrossFit Gym. Moved here in Toronto and meant to try different boxes, tried Lift and signed up immediately without having to try other boxes because I was super impressed with the following: 1. Space - Hydraulic floors where you can drop your bars. This is KEY for a downtown CrossFit gym. They also have all the toys (e.g., barbells, weights, rowers, skiers, assault bikes, regular bikes, etc.). Equipment is new and in great shape and the owners are always adding newer and fun things to the box 2. Coaching - GREAT! all very knowledgable, focused on each athletics performance. I like that they give advice based on best available evidence and not just their opinion. Well informed, respectful and fun 3. Programming - always new, always leading up to a bigger goal. Posted ahead of time .. some partner Wods which are a lot of fun 4. Community - friendly, some social events to get a community sense going, great times during Open workouts Bottom line: Great gym with knowledgable coaching and friendly environment.

Great Crossfit gym! I've been to a lot of Crossfit gyms but this is the first with a strong focus on skill and strength development. Although I wish the crossfit class times were consistent throughout the week so I'd actually go 6 times per week. The 16 person per class capacity was concerning for the small space but the coaches make it work. Great coaches and members too!

I love this gym. Having done CrossFit off and on for 10+ years (mostly off) this has been my favorite gym so far. The programming and community are exactly what I was looking for - I have had significant gains without feeling overly sore, the coaching is skilled and positive, the community is mature and relaxed.

I have nothing but great things to say about this gym. The coaches are all awesome! They always keep you engaged and make sure that technique never suffers while trying to attain your fitness goals. The attention to detail in their programming is noticeable and always challenging. Most importantly is the overall welcoming and upbeat environment that exists. They defiantly remove the intimidation stigma that is sometimes associated with cross fit and make people of all fitness levels feel comfortable and enthusiastic.

Excellent team who support you every step through your fitness journey! Coaches focus on first on technique rather than lifting heavy, which I didn't realize until going to other CrossFit gyms. Community is welcoming and judgement free. Would recommend to anyone at any stage of fitness or age!
