Delicious coffee, expertly prepared. It's a lovely place; the resin and wood bench and panel are beautiful and interesting. We tried the espresso lemonade, which was refreshing and enjoyable. The grapefruit slice and flavour is quite nice.

Local coffee shop with minimalist yet welcoming atmosphere. You’ll find a floor-to-ceiling fantastical mural on the wall and a cute coat rack in the corner. Offers up handcrafted espresso drinks and a small assortment of pastries. My half-sweet vanilla latte tasted as good as it looks. I also appreciated the plexiglass separator and sanitizer safety precautions.

Loved this place, cool interior design and chill atmosphere. I tried their orange blossom pistachio latte and butter croissant. Loved the latte, it had some sort of nostalgic flavor for me because of the pistachio (which is used extensively in Persian desserts) but I had to go with the smaller one since the taste could get overpowering after a while. The croissant was pretty good too.

Decent drip coffee, but nothing special. I walk by it on my way to work every morning, so I decided to give it a try. Came on a Wednesday morning at around 9:15AM and didn't have to wait. It is defintely on the pricier side starting at $3.95 for a small drip coffee. I like the design and atmosphere inside. Would come back to try machine made drinks rather than their drip coffee.

Food - They provide a selection of light drinks and snacks, but it's worth noting that their food items tend to sell out quickly. I visited near closing time, so it didn't bother me. I opted for the Earl Grey tea, which was delightful and refreshing. While the items here may not be particularly spectacular, they offer standard fare that meets expectations. Service - The staff, despite our late arrival, was incredibly nice and informative, simplifying the ordering process. Their friendliness and professionalism exceeded expectations. Ambiance - The atmosphere is light and bright, adorned with captivating art on the walls that I enjoyed. There's a touch of industrial aesthetics in the interior seating area. From the windows, you can observe the hustle and bustle of downtown, adding to the overall experience with natural light flowing in.

Overall: good, but not amazing. Location was convenient as a pedestrian, beautiful aesthetically, and the service was quick as there was no one else in line when we arrived. Ordered a 16oz oat latte and a Americano. Both were ok. I drink a lot of oat lattes and I wasn’t a fan of the oat milk they used here - the oat milk used overpowered any espresso flavour and was slightly sweetened - my guess would be Silk, Elmhurst, or Minor Figures. Maybe it would have been ok if I had ordered a less diluted drink or if they used Oatly or Pacifica. Beans are $30 for 300g here - now I’ve purchased beans at that price range before BUT typically they were beans that have won awards at the international level. I think $30 for 300g of average bean is a bit much! Would give it another try but with so many coffee shops downtown, may be easier to give a new place a try.

A modern and refreshing cafe accompanied by kind staffs! I tried the Orange Blossom Pistachio Latte, and an Empanada. They were helpful in explaining my questions. The drink was indeed unique, and somehow resembled a bit like sweet (but not sweet) potato latte. But I was unable to finish the drink haha. The empanada was very impressive and delicious, I devoured the whole thing!

I loved the modern and minimalistic ambiance! It has a unique variety of drinks like pistachio latte and saffron tea, so that non-coffee drinkers can also enjoy. The staff was very kind and professional. I would definitely love to come back to Third Wave Coffee! :)

Best coffee I’ve ever tasted, If you enjoy tasting coffee and not just drinking it, this coffee shop would be my best recommendation. The place is very clean, attention to details. Staff are very friendly, they make their coffee with love ♥️♥️

Very nice coffee place. Reasonably priced, variety on menu, super friendly staff. My partner and I came and had iced latte and flat white with oat milk, so yummy! Cute atmosphere and the staff were friendly. The bar looks so clean and professional, and as a barista, they seem to have a very high quality set up! I would recommend and come back here! Kind of small inside, so maybe not a great place to do work for a long time. Also had a delicious croissant here!

It's good but not amazing! Decent tea and coffee... didn't try any pastry.. they have limited tables(about 4). Overall a 4 star experience. Tried the saffron tea and it's was just okay.

Looks like they've got all gear to make great coffee but I was really disappointed by their Nitro Brew. It was completely flat without any nitration in it (see photo for reference). I asked why and the barista told me it's because it was fresh... Not sure how that works, but I do know I just paid close to $8 for a flat Nitro Brew. I've got no problem paying a premium, but the product has to reflect the price. It had good flavour at least.

The three baristas that served me that day were sooso nice! My friend had ordered a drink through me - the espresso lemonade - which none of the three knew existed but that didn’t stop them from making it! They made it happen, which was 10/10!! On top of that, I got a little bunny on my matcha 🥺

Walked in here today because we had a few calls prior to meeting with a client around the corner. The workers told us their card processing system wasn't working AFTER we placed our order and that it will be FREE. I told them I had cash and there's no problem to pay. The owner said they don't accept cash and it's on the house. I told him we don't even live in this city, he said no problem at all. He then offered me a free croissant which was absolutely delicious. Thank you for your hospitality! Will definitely recommend this place to our local friends!!

Hands down best coffee place in the vicinity! The coffee shop itself is such a vibe - talk ceiling, bright lights - and to and the aroma of the coffee and the pleasant service always feels welcoming. We’ve also regularly bought beans for pour over from here!

Amazing artwork the wall the moment you enter. Staff was polite and helpful. Loved the presentation, our espresso was served on a wooden board. Ask the barista, they a have a few options for bean types. Would definitely visit again.

I wanted to love this place but my first trip here was a little troubling. Firstly, no decaf (that's common, so no biggie) but no brewed coffee, period. The person working the bar was nice but the music was so loud I could barely hear him (masks of course do not help this). That was a major issue. This led to another problem: I asked how many shots a small Americano had. I THOUGHT the barista said 2, so i asked for 1 to be decaf, no problem. But he charged for the shot and i was confused but didn't ask about it, even though this was a very expensive Americano. I figured, hey I'm sure it's better than Starbucks! I got my drink and left and it was WAAAAAY too strong. Partially my fault, maybe I should have known by the size that two shots was a lot, but i heard 2 was standard. Needless to say I couldn't drink my $7, 10oz Americano. Shame, too, because i think it was actually a very nice espresso from what I could taste. I am sharing this to hopefully give the business some insight. PLEASE TURN THE MUSIC DOWN, if you want to communicate with your customers effectively.

My favorite cafe in Toronto, hands down. Ive been to all the so-called best ones in toronto, but I find myself coming here the most. Consistent in quality, beautiful interior, excellent service. Sergei is an absolute gem, and I can see he keeps the standard of excellence going strong. The Yemeni coffee, roasted by Hatch, is fantastic. Highly recommended

Great service and coffee. They do not use sugar in their coffee and matcha drinks. It is done fresh right in front of you. Price is very affordable and reasonable. I really enjoyed my mocha iced drink and match iced drink. Mocha drink taste exactly like dark chocolate would. I highly recommend this place.

This place can improve on a few things : Mainly, their coffee. CONS: 1. COFFEE: Please view the picture and see how pale and watery that coffee is. I have never had such a light, sour, pungent-tasting Americano before. I even asked the server that I prefer my coffee not so "fruity" or "light" bc I love strong, dark roasts with the hints of toffee, treacle, chocolate, vanilla with low acidity. The coffee bean was DEFINITELY not roasted dark, triple times, to release the oils of the beans to give it that strong, toffee, treacle, chocolate base. If I can describe the taste: It was sour, "fruity" and it can be likened to a berry-like herbal tea mixed with coffee as if someone made a mistake in making it at the back. 2. SIZE OF THE PLACE: Although very airy, bright and somewhat "chic" in the pictures, it was deceptive. I got there and it was very small. It had a vibe as if it was a fruit juice drink joint. It didn't have that "cafe" vibe. PROS: 1. SERVER: He had a Spanish accent and was very nice. He was courteous, polite and gave me his recommendation (although it didn't taste anything like toffee, treacle, chocolate base of a dark roast with low acidity as I had mentioned).

We stopped by here and had the London fog and iced matcha latte. We were impressed by the quality of the drinks they were sooo good. The place is small and not much seating. Great to grab a drink but not for studying since they don’t have outlets and wifi.

Got a Nitro Cold Brew, it’s smooth, creamy, with a fruity quality. Had a brief chat with my barista Alejandro, he was friendly and knowledgable about making cold brew. Overall a lovely experience that made my morning!

Interesting concept. I wouldn’t sit and hang out here because it feels too modern, but the drinks were good! The only milk alternative they have is oat milk so I had whole milk for the first time in FOREVER. Definitely tainted the taste of my matcha latte a bit but I still enjoyed it.

We got an Almond Croissant which was absolutely delicious. The mocha was great as well!👌🏼 The lavender latte was a little bland and lacked flavour. But the cafe has a nice personal touch with a huge painting on the well which really catches your eye. The staff was very friendly! A great place to get some peace and complete some work💻

Spontaneous visit on a warm day. Atmosphere is great and space is clean, just limited seating. Staff are keen to explain the difference between our perspective drinks: blood orange sparkling lemonade and blue matcha sparkling lemonade. We both got the prior flavor and despite tasting fine I find it being slightly overpriced. Next time I’d bring work or book along and try another cold drink.

  • 5/5 Rose P. 8 months ago on Google
Received excellent Customer service and answered al of my questions. I saw they had a pistachio orange latte, and had to order as that’s kind of ubique. Super tasty. There’s limited seating but a gorgeous moral on the wall.

With fair prices (considering this is Toronto) and a lot of plant-based milk alternatives on the menu, Third Wave is only getting positive comments from me. It’s a very clean and modern-looking café with a bright, welcoming atmosphere. What’s more is it’s very conveniently located close to some of downtown Toronto’s main tourist spots. Love Third Wave Coffee!

  • 4/5 Erica B. 9 months ago on Google
I always pass by Third Wave Coffee but would never go in; I finally went and the interior blew me away. The artwork, the high ceilings, the lighting—it’s a stunning cafe. The drinks were good. I tried the Bailey’s latte and it was perfect, really good. My friend ordered the blue matcha lemonade, they enjoyed it. We didn’t try any parties since the pastry case was nearly empty. The staff come off a little bit cold; however, overall, it was a good experience. I likely will pop back in sometime for takeout.

I was quite impressed with the beautiful artwork on the wall. Their coffee was good and the price was decent. A little bit small though, it's hard to find a seat. Great location, it's right in the middle of Old Toronto. The baristas were quite friendly.

I had the pleasure of visiting this cafe recently and it exceeded all my expectations. The cafe has an extensive selection of high-quality, low-roasted coffee beans produced from the best produers and provided the perfect caffeine boost. I tried their cortado, latte, and v60, paired with their delicious pastry and each one was delicious, The coffee was some of the best I've ever tasted, with a perfect balance of aroma and flavors and a rich, smooth texture. The ambiance of the cafe was fantastic, with a relaxing and inviting atmosphere that made it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a delicious coffee. The cafe's attention to detail, the quality of their coffee to the vibe of the space, is unmatched. I highly recommend coming here or anyone looking for a fantastic coffee experience!
