Boardgames from floor to the ceiling with great service and interesting snacks. The food is vegetarian and vegan friendly. Our group of friends played Unlock and Forbidden Island, two collaborative games where you win or fail together as a team. 6$ fee for unlimited gaming engaging staff that know boardgames well (they can explain how the games work). You can also purchase boardgames in a seperate section.

Had a fantastic evening at this beautiful board game cafe. It’s clean and very nicely designed inside, with an adorable patio perfect for summer gaming. Staff were friendly and helpful — very knowledgeable about board games on offer, and accommodating with the menu. My wife who usually doesn’t go for a night out at this sort of place had a great time! We’ll definitely be back. A bonus: I’m used to the washrooms at these sorts of places being a roll of the dice or an adventure in and of itself, but Spielhaus has very nice, new, clean facilities. No janky stairs to dingy dirty toilets here! Fully accessible, main floor, which if you’ve had a few of their many great brews on offer, is a plus. Owners obviously take a lot of pride here. What a great addition to the neighbourhood!

Cozy place with pillows on some seats! For both large and small parties. Food is really yummy and there’s tons of options for board games that you can really stay there for hours. However I do wish they’d stay open until later. Great devour and the washrooms are all gender!

This is an awesome place where you can hang out with your friends, your family or go alone and find something to do. They have a very big games variety, with all kind of games (strategy, co-op, cards, etc) and for all ages. There is definitely a game there that you will want to play. The owners and employees are very friendly and will also help you with suggestions on what games you could like, based on some quick questions that they'll ask. The menu is pretty good. It is vegetarian, though they have some dishes that you won't even notice that they have no meat. They have a killer vanilla milkshake!! Go, have fun, play a game, meet people, have a drink. You won't regret it!

This place is lovely! They have an amazing game selection. The staff were helpful in teaching us the game we wanted to play. I highly recommend this place and will be going back.

Finally a board game cafe on St. Clair west! Really great and knowledgeble staff, enormous selection of games (literally from floor to ceiling). Theres no waits and its not overcrowded like other places. You can hear each other when you play! Great interior design, well lit, and clean bathrooms.

Spielhouse is really awesome! We play a lot of board games and go to different board game cafes in Toronto all the time - and Spielhouse is definitely a new favourite :) The game selection is really good and HUGE, the drinks/coffee are delicious, the atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable, and the owners are so friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend!

There's a $6 fee but there's a lot of board games available to play. The food is good and the place was kept warm. I, and a bunch of my friends stayed there for 6 hours playing games and eating the food and it's very easy to just stay there and relax. It's also good to head there early before it gets too busy. My only issue is how small the glasses of smoothies and milkshakes were.

Absolutely amazing place. Go to this place if you want a nice truly mom and pop board game house atmosphere. Not as packed as crummy Snakes and Lattes and some honestly caring people. Can't be beat!!
