👍👍 A good museum and knowledgable staff on Clarington history. Didn't know that Clarington was world renown for award winning quality player pianos. The popularity of the radio ended their market. People often mention museum, history, staff,

This place is a gem. Great artifacts and historical notes on the history of our little town. Claringtown is a great new feature with really awesome activities for kids of all ages to learn about life here. Incredibly knowledgeable staff took the time to provide us with added information about some of the exhibits including Camp 30 and the Piano Factory. We went on a Spirit Walk and had a fantastic time learning about some of the darker history of Bowmanville. Cant wait to tell everyone else about this. Thank you Heather, Amy and Carly for your knowledge and for the whole experience.

Lovely play space for children! Very unique and welcoming. Worth the drive from elsewhere for fun and a change of scenery. Lovely outdoor space for picnics etc as well.

I brought my toddler to the ClaringTown exhibit. It was small and at capacity. We stayed maybe 20 minutes. The woman working at the centre was not overly friendly. The rest of the heritage museum was minimal.

Have you ever wandered off the 401 just past Oshawa? You should go North a little and discover Clarington, Bowmanville, Newcastle and of yes the Clarington Museum and Archive, specifically Waverly House. When you take the virtual tour and see the bathroom, but it doesn't quite click. Point your mouse through the door and then click. Voila inside the bathroom. This piece of early Canadian property is stunning, check out the photos and check out the outdoor shots I did. Now jump in the car and head out.

I started out volunteering here in high school and through it, I found a love for history and the museum industry. All the love to this museum. I wish for more people in Clarington and the surrounding area to take some time here to learn about their local history.

My family participated in the Love 'Em and Leave 'Em night. Each of were thrilled with the opportunity! We'd even pay more for the night or pay based on time spent. Hoping to see this become a regular event/feature 😀

I recently visited and was left thoroughly disappointed. The museum's exhibits were poorly curated and lacked the depth and detail one would expect from a history museum. The information provided was superficial at best. The museum's staff was not helpful either. They seemed uninterested and lacked the knowledge to answer even basic questions about the exhibits. This lack of engagement from the staff significantly detracted from the overall experience. The museum's facilities were disturbingly bad. The restrooms were not clean, and the museum was in a state of disrepair. The museum also lacked accessibility features, making it difficult for individuals with mobility issues (like my mother) to navigate the premises. Lastly, the museum has shockingly bad hours of operation. What museum is open only 3 days a week? Come on!

Nice place. I enjoy being allowed to sit on their benches when the museum is closed.

This center has the most innovative play town built for the children. My children spent hours here.

Love that the museum has hosted soper creek wildlife. Both my kids have gone on trips to experience this and they loved it. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

I visited the museum with high hopes, but I was sorely disappointed. The exhibits were outdated and poorly maintained, and the staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful. The overall experience was underwhelming, and I wouldn't recommend this museum to anyone. It's a shame that such a potentially enriching place has fallen into such a state of neglect

This museum has fallen into disrepair. The Library and Museum CEO & Executive Director clearly has no appreciation or respect for Clarington's rich heritage and history. This used to be such a huge part of the community until larger entities took it over and let it crumble and added in ramps that do not fit the building

The fact that the town and the Board has abandoned their own publicly owned museum and its volunteers is disgraceful. Why does the library even control the museum? It's absurd.

👍 Its a nice park. It has a playing area for the kids, nice view and overall a good place to hang out. The reason why I gave it a 3 star is because of the smell in the area specially near the beach area. Its probably the worst smell I've ever experienced near a beach and wouldn't recommend going near...

👍👍 We like to hike in these lands. It's well maintained and visitors are all friendly. We enjoy meeting a few happy dogs walking with their masters, encountering amazing mushrooms and listening to the creak gurgling.
