It’s my first time to visit Guelph. This museum introduces a very interesting history of Guelph town. It’s nice to bring kids there to get such useful knowledge. Also, there are some facilities for children to discover some fun there. Give it a chance to visit. :)

Lovely museum. Come in with the expectations you should have for a local museum and you won't be disappointed. Lots of cool history and a fun time for kids too.

Quaint little museum in the shadow of the surprisingly large basilica.

The Guelph Museum is wonderful but this time we went specifically to go to the gift shop. It always has unique items and we were able to purchase felt poppies for Remembrance Day.

Having enjoyed the museum many times as a guest and used the venue for a conference, we decided to have our wedding at the Museum and it was total perfection. Linda and her team took care of every detail. We had the option for an indoor or outdoor ceremony, and chose to have the ceremony inside and the dinner outside, which boasts a picturesque view of downtown. We brought in our own caterer and musicians, and the Museum took care of the rest, including the bar and setting up the chairs and tables for the reception. It was lovely to have the museum to browse in between the ceremony and reception, and the surroundings - including the gorgeous museum itself and the Basilica beside it - were stellar for pictures. Highly recommend a visit to the museum if you're in town, and as a venue for an event.

Excellent exhibition pieces with very informative descriptions and videos on tablets/ TV. Friendly staff and clean environment, kids loved the play area once the educational part was out of the way.

Beautiful museum. It's small, interactive, full of fun facts about Guelph. Great for kids. We spent the hole afternoon in there. They even have a family rate that is super convenient.

Had an entire museum to myself and a friend today for 90 minutes (didn't buy that experience just no other guests!!!). Wonderful immersive experience with the sounds of historical instruments. Hidden gem.

I've been to this place a bunch of times and its always been a good experience. The children's area is awesome so bring the whole family! My only complaint is that I wish they had more exhibits!

Awesome museum, nice for visiting with kids. Second floor has a whole area for them, so nice to spend some hours with your LO.

A cute little spot. only $6 per adult for entry. 3rd floor is all about the history of Guelph, which i wish was a little larger. The second floor has an art section and the kids section. The first floor has a rotating exhibit. There is also a nice gift shop that has some cool items. Over all a very nice museum.

Visited with my family over a Saturday afternoon. It has three floors of artifacts and exhibitions that retrace the history of Guelph. Not a huge museum but definitely worth visiting. The staff is friendly and entry fee very affordable.

They sell poppy pins all year round! And great place to take the family or if you want to learn about local history.

We took our 5 year old there and he loved it. Lots of neat things to look at and a nice activity area. It’s pretty quick to get through so he was engaged the entire time.

Very well layed out displays. Was a bit disappointed with the "Physics" display, kind of lacking to be mentioned in the description of displays

A small city museum that punches above its weight. At least an hour of interesting, educational Guelph lore for a reasonable price.

The museum has a wealth of exhibits which feature the history of the city. Pleasant spot to sit outside and relax. Make sure to visit McCrae House.

Had some time to kill so thought I'd check it out. Don't regret it at all. While small the collections at the museum are very detailed and interesting. Really gives you a great image of the history of Guelph from before colonisation until recent times. While only one floor is open due to renovations the staff was kind enough to give me a re-entry ticket for when I visit again. $5 entry is very affordable.

I have been bringing kids to this museum for many years and every time we go I am always very happy we visited. Their staff are very friendly and helpful and their kids discovery area is amazing. You can tell a lot of through went into the centre. I would love to see some of the exhibits in the discovery centre change from time to time - new toys added etc but I understand the challenges with doing this. All in all we love it here!
