Went on a class trip with my daughter's class prior to COVID. It was informative and they saw helicopters up close! Great cafeteria area too.

I fondly enjoyed the museum when I went. They had lot's of great exhibits. I learnt a lot about the history of the Ontario Provincial Police. They also had a great gift shop called the "Off Duty Shop" with lot's of great accessories and apparel. I spoke with a couple of staff and Special Constables, all of whom were very polite. A great place.

My kids love there. Their favorites are puppets & police Legos. It's a small museum. There is a souvenir shop too.

On October 20th, I had a personalized tour of the OPP General Headquarters and the OPP Museum. My tour guide, Mr Brian Jewitt, the commissioned architect to serve the role of General Manager, Relocation Projects. He orchestrated the entire planning design and construction and relocation of the new OPP Headquarters, and the entire move from Toronto region to Orillia. 1985-1997 My time visiting the OPP Museum was very interesting and educational. My time there was a very excellent opportunity to learn the history of the OPP. My sincere thank you to Brian for your time spent with me there, and to the entire museum team for your dedication to the project. A truly wonderful experience.

Museum was very professional and also had a wonderful play spot for kids, including cars, puppets dress up etc.

Very well put together exhibit with a whole section of toys and interactive pieces to entertain the kids. Lots of past vehicles to look at in the building (cars, boats and motorcycles). They had “trading cards” for the kids, as well as stickers and an activity book to take home. It’s only open on weekdays I believe, so it was a nice stop on the way to cottage country, but it makes it harder to access, not being open on weekends. Very friendly interactions with all within the premises.

Highly recommend. We had a guided tour with Peter, who was absolutely lovely. This is not a fall asleep museum, he kept us engaged, sharing his real experiences as he travelled through the ranks over the years. Kid friendly, adult friendly and very clean. All in all an excellent experience!

Wonderful exhibit with details, pictures and memorabilia. Nice experience for kids too with a large play area with Police theme toys and activities.

An absolute must. Most everyone exploring this great venue will find a little unknown history near their own Ontario home town, and maybe find overseas connections as well. It's a great place to generate inspiration in people to consider either employment or research with the OPP. You will be amazed at their career options. I won't reveal any more secrets of it's appeal.....you gotta go.

Very neat place to see the history of the Ontario Provincial Police. The exhibits are self guided and contain a wealth of information. There is something at this location for everyone including interactive exhibits for younger participants. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about each display. Would highly recommend as something to do but call before attending to register and ensure you’ll be granted access.

Fantastic museum! I like the self guided tour setup. The guide brochures are free and easy to follow with Case numbers. Very informative and interesting. The only disappointment was nothing about the Golden Helmets! That needs to be included! There is a nice kids corner. Gmaps takes you to the employee entrance. You need to go to the front of the facility for visitor parking. Parking is free. Entrance is free but DONATIONS WELCOMED to keep the museum open. Also bring ID as security coming in the building requires it for a visitor's pass to the OPP Headquarters.

👍👍 Great hiking area in Orillia, just 25mins from Barrie. Trails are not marked very well but you won't really get lost as highway is close by. Not many water bodies in this hiking area, but lots of ups and downs. Would say it is 'moderate' difficulty level. Can spend a good 2-3hrs hiking all trails h...

👍 This is a lovely park for all seasons. My kids enjoy winter a activities here. My only criticism would be for parks and rec to open washroom facilities for kids in snow gear in the winter months. Year round facilities would be an asset to our parks!
