Can't believe there is such a beautiful beach so close to the city! We just took a 15 minute boat ride to the island to enjoy a day at the beach. The sea temperature in early July was still a bit cold, but the intensity of the sun was really strong. I was on the beach for six hours and of course got a sunburn πŸ₯΅ , but I still love this place, very beautiful and very relaxing!

Great little island to wander around. The beach was safe, clear water and with lovely views. Had lifeguards too! A little pebbly to get into the water but sandy just past the shoreline. Only downside were the flies, had a good nibble on me so I'd advise some insect repellent!

The most chilled peaceful pleasant place I think I've ever been. Magical mix of quaint homes and wildlife. I'd move here.

The view of the water is beautiful. The long beach welcomes families with small children and anyone who wants to have a fun time or a relaxing time. The trip to the Island is by ferry or water taxi. The water taxi are expensive but more frequent and faster.

Small but nice and clean beach. Went there in February but it was sunny. Since it was winters the crowd was less but this beach is one of key attractions in summers. To go there you would need to take a ferry from Toronto - walking distance from Union Station. Once you reach the Ward's Island.. Walk straight for 10 mins to reach the beach. Bring your sheet and water to enjoy the place. Washrooms are near the beach.

Beautiful views of the lake. Very clean, calm and peaceful beach! It was raining the day we visited and we had a beautiful view of the rainbow. I would definitely visit again with family on a sunny day! The walk from Ward's Island to centre island was amazing. Highly recommended!!

Very clean beach and it is less crowded compare to center island. The beach is big enough and the walking distance from the ferry station is only 5 min by walk. There is also a very nice view of Toronto from the other side of the island by the ferry station.

Love the waves, and its depth. Lifeguards on duty were on their canoe making sure the area is being watched so you feel safe. Water was clear and fresh. The sand felt thick and soft. Like the fact it wasn't that busy.

Amazing chill beach away from the crowds and worth the short trip from downtown! We paid to ride the water taxi to avoid the public ferry! Worth the price to skip the line and simply rode the free ferry ride back to mainland. Highly recommend!!!

Good and quiet beach. Not a lot to do. If you are a nature lover and spend some quality time away from noise, it's best place to relax.

My favorite beach in the island, the water is much cleaner, way less people and it’s not mossy. If you’re looking for a more quiet beach to relax in the island this would be it. Me, Misch and Theo went here. Theo got to swim and also we shot some photos for our pregnancy album.

Had wonderful evening at Ward's Island. It is great place to wind up after hard day work or at weekends. Beaches is good but it can be cleaner.

The best beach on Toronto Islands! Less busy than the Centre Island and with a beautiful view of the lake, you even forget you're in the city. Perfect for a picnic with friends and family and for swimming - no rocks, just sand! :) Bring your bike or rent one and take a ride through the entire island to enjoy your visit even more!

Not to miss - Lovely place to visit when you are downtown Toronto. A short boat ride takes you to the island park and there are three distinct areas (island’s) to visit and spend time. Ideally you should spend whole day and would be good to pack up lunch (or grab something from local cafes) and return back by the last boat to enjoy the city light view of Toronto skyline.

So lovely and perfect for families and kids. Been going here for years and enjoy how clean it is, too. A washroom for changing is nearby, too.

Amazing spot.. Believe it or not I went in the winter and it was beautiful. We obviously couldn't swim, but we walked around the island and it was so peaceful and quiet. Would recommend going for a long walk with friends in the winter! Even if it's freezing outside.

Warm waters in late August πŸ₯° Somewhat smaller beach area, best to visit during the week of possible. We visited on a Wednesday and there were still a good number of people. But certainly not overcrowded. Designated swimming areas are marked and lifeguards are on duty. Water sports allowed only in designated areas.

Love coming here for a picnic or quick swim (when it's safe to do so; the water quality fluctuates due to its proximity to Toronto). It's more quiet than Central Beach and nicer than Hadlan's Point Nude Beach. Highly recommend for a quick trip out of the bustling city!

GORGEOUS beach! Nice big waves to play in the day we were there, and warm water. Washrooms & outdoor shower nearby are clean and big. For families & ambulatory wheelchair users, there's a path & spot with plastic pavers so you can easily roll a stroller/wheelchair/mobility scooter closer to the beach without it getting stuck in the sand. It ends maybe 15 feet from the water.

This is the best beach on the Toronto Islands. Hands down. Away from the crowds so you can relax. Swimming here is top notch. Please don't tell anyone about it.
