Really enjoyed visiting this conservation area. If you go on a weekday it typically isn't very busy. If you are entering the park by car it's about $30 for the day so make sure you bring a credit card as they don't accept cash. There are lots of different paths to hike as well as a lot of seating room and picnic benches. This park also has water activities including kayaking and swimming.

I wasn’t too familiar with this park and hadn’t done my research before coming which is my mistake. You say have to pay an entrance fee which is fine but I found that there was nothing special at this park, I brought my bike (it’s not an intense bike - better for regular cruising) and the paths were not meant for this plus a big portion was blocked off. I’ve been to many parks without any fee that we’re nicer than this. The workers at the entrance were very friendly and fantastic service.

A very nice park with amazing and clean waters. Given the size and how busy this park is, it's kept quite clean. Kudos to the city staff for keeping it this way. Excellent place for your summer time. There is lot of things to enjoy …. Hiking Fishing area Picnic Paddling Mountain Biking Bird Watching Dog Walking Zipline .. You can easily spend whole day in summer. Would recommend.

Nice green space in Brampton for a picnic/ barbecue/ day's outing with family and friends. Attractions: 1) Tree top trekking -Always get advance online booking. 2) kayaking in transparent kayaks in Heart lake 3) Ziplinning across Heart 💖 lake. 4)Enjoy a few trails around the lake and in the wooded area. 5) Barbecue is allowed for barbecue enthusiasts Tip: Carry mosquito repellent spray especially in the summers to avoid getting eaten alive by the mosquitoes.

Went for a family picnic and had a pleasant experience at this park. Heart lake conservation area is an all around park, with something for everyone. There is a swimming pool, splash pads, boating, fishing, long winding trails, picnic site with plenty of pinic tables and shades structures. PS. Washrooms were clean and well maintained.

I do comeback here for cleaner air, eleven kilometres of hiking trails and biodiversity. Park has over 370 species of plants, a 70 species of breeding birds, 8 native species of amphibians and 5 native species of reptiles for example(!) Meandering trails guide you up or down the hills, and when you enter the woodlands, you will be surrounded by tall ridges with the priceless views and every step let you discover secret energies of an enriching and regenerative beauty of the forest. Add to it, lake with fish, Medicine Wheel Garden, 10 picnic sites located throughout the park, water fountains, clean washrooms, spacious shelters, grassy fields, zip line... and you can imagine amount of joyful experience you cud get... By heart, one of my favorite places and destinations in GTA. Absolutely worth the effort. Yours to discover.

Amazingly beautiful place for long walks! Nature well preserved right in middle of the city with trails going around the water body, surrounded by thick vegetation and tall trees with zip line and treetop walking! The only drawback, the trail is full of mosquitos at least in the summer morning part of the day! We had to quit at one point, it was unbearable!

Beautiful and large park amongst the very busy city of Brampton. Tons of picnic tables a couple of shelter areas that you don't necessarily have to book in advance even though there is a fee to enter the park and many huge trees for shade. There's a splash pad but it's not open this year because of covid, there is tree top trekking for ziplining that you need to book in advance. The lake is quite large and quiet as well and you can do fishing.

Excellent recreational park with sprawling soccer field, a well maintained nature trail, a gorgeous lake with 3/4 fishing spots, a great option for paid sports like aerial trail and flying fox. Please book tickets online as they are usually sold out for 3/4 weeks ahead. When I visited recently a couple of guys caught 2 Sunfish while fishing, so that's an option you can look forward to. A couple also brought their kid in a stroller which is a great thing for new parents. We saw a badger, snake and a couple of mountain squirrels. Excellent place for avid bird watchers too. Great place to have a family picnic and spend the day. Walking distance from Heart Lake Terminal and serviced by Route 3, 3A, 7, 23 and 2 of the Brampton Transit.

Beautiful park! Very large and expansive, with multiple run offs and sections to give plenty of room for all to set up and make the most of their stay. There are sheltered areas with tables which make for nice eating areas (e.g. we saw multiple families holding birthday events!). Finally, the lake itself is decently sized. Very easy to walk around and find a spot for whatever you may want it for. We fished whilst there and had a very pleasant time!

A remarkably clean and picturesque area that we thoroughly enjoyed. It's perfect for walking, hiking, cycling, and photography. You'll need to pay around $29 per car at the entrance, but don't worry if you're uncertain about which activities to try. There are numerous options available, including a water park, playground for children, and boat rentals and etc. However, there aren't any public restrooms available.

A fantastic touch of nature for the city of Brampton. The park is full of amenities such as exercise equipment, spash pad, tree top trekking, boat rentals, and hiking trails. There are numerous parking lots throughout and picnic areas scattered throughout. It's a great place to spend the entire day, just pack a lunch.

Breathtaking views with many places to sit down and relax. Most come on the weekend to have large family picnics or stroll in their forested pathways. Make sure to bring bug spray because there’s lots of mosquitos!

Very beautiful and large conservation park great for a lot of activities. The lake is great for a fun fishing experience with family. A lot of picnic benches are available all around the park and sheltered picnic areas are also available and can also be booked for large gatherings. The trees provide good shaded areas for a picnic and BBQ with family. You can also enjoy treetop trekking including zip line and other aerial games. The trails are also great for hiking with young kids, don't forget to take mosquito repellant otherwise you will have a hard time fighting off mosquitos. There is an enterance fee of $7.75 per person.

One of the best sunset spot here in GTA area, it's too mesmerizing, and the journey towards it, it's something else, I took my bike from this whole conservation area and the feeling I got, it was like a mountain bike race, with narrow road made from soil going in between tress and all. Amazing experience

Very nice and calm place. Not crowded. Awesome trail and treetop trekking is available with zipline. Splash pool is closed due to Covid but lot of greenery. Parking charge is based on number of folks in the car. Had visited it many years back but love the new look and the beautiful scenery

The beauty of the lake and park is magnificent. The facilities are good, but better to consider having more benches around the park. After frisbee playing we went to wash our hands and eat something, but there was no soap in the ladies' washroom.

We came to the Heart Lake Conservation for the Fall Colors. We took the Lake Trail which surrounds the Heart Lake. It was a nice trail, not too difficult for families with children. However, it is worth mentioning that this is not a loop trail, you would have to turn around once you reach the signage L18. There is a lookout at L17. We actually missed/didn't see many signs, but we followed google map which provides a better guidance as to where we are on the trail.

Beautiful area! It’s a massive park so we didn’t run in to many people even though we were there for 2 hours. We walked but definitely would love to come back and bike. Just be mindful there are a lot of Gypsy moth caterpillars at this time of year.

This review is specifically for my kayak/boating rental experience in June of 2023. Having enjoyed my hiking visits to Heart Lake in the past, I was excited to rent a kayak. The Toronto and Regional Conservation (TRCA) parks website stated boat rentals are $20/hr, which seemed reasonable to me. When I got there, I discovered that that price pertains only to fishing rowboats, which are limited to visitors that fish. The staff will not allow non-fishing visitors to rent these if it is a busy time with many fishers. Single-person kayaks are $30/hr, while tandem kayaks are $60/hr. We were a party of 3 and ended up spending 3 times what I had budgeted for. I found this to be highly unreasonable and deceptive - is there a reason you charge twice as much for two people using one kayak? Furthermore, they should at least give a comprehensive listing of all rental options on their website, not just the cheapest one. Your lack of transparency ruined what would otherwise have been an excellent outing. This is not a respectable way to do business.

It was an awesome experience. The conversation park was not crowded. You can enjoy hiking, cycling or exploring trails even by walking. The lake is beautiful and the cool breeze can soothe your soul. There are a lot of points for photography as well and the natural lighting and beautiful nature will add the jinx in your picture. There is a playground for kids, lots of places to sit and hangout with your friends and family. It's a good idea to enjoy your day picnic as well. Overall it was an excellent experience, one should definitely go and visit this place once.

Trail is nice and short, only down side is lots of mosquitoes. Don't know if it was because it was an overcast day or if that's how it is all the time.

Heart lake is a beautiful area, with expansive land for picnics and activities. In addition to the tree top trekking, splash pad and zip lines there were a few small areas to fish, and boat rentals. In addition to the entry fees, all activities have additional fees. After following the first trail for a few km, it ended, and the only option was to follow the same trail back or make the mistake of diverting to another one and getting lost like we did. We eventually exited into a parking lot 15 minutes away from our original starting point and walked along the road. There are no maps along the trail...only numbered posts which do not particularly help. The trails were long but not very interesting. If you are not interested in the other activities, there is not a lot to see along the trails.

Beautiful conservation park. You can do many fun activities here but would advice you to visit the website and pre-book for activities like zip-line, treetop etc. It has a good size lake and the trail is enjoyable too. They have an entry fee so you can try getting passes from library if you are planning in advance.

A wonderful place for hikes. They have removed the per person entry and introduced per car entry at $24. Also the Treetop trekking here is a great adventure activity!

Nestled in the Brampton area, it was a pleasant surprise to see the views here. Normally I'm accustomed to the Humber trail, but when we arrived we took about an hour or so to enjoy the first lakeside trail(the one along the tree trekking line). Given that it's both a trail but with activities, I can see myself coming back here again to experience more. Overall the trail was lovely and serene and did not have a large group of people with us at the time. I would genuinely recommend this to anyone else in the area visiting.

The lake part of this area is the best part. Pretty much the only part that's worth walking around the other trails are nice but they are full of mosquitoes during the summer more then usual. But around the water it's very nice play to sit and fish as you can also take lessons here for that. You can also rent some paddles to go out on the lake. And I would say if you looking for a great place to have a BBQ there are plenty of spots for this around the area.

Heart Lake Conservation Area is located in Brampton, which is a fantastic site for family or group events, no matter large or small. Boathouse fishing and tackle, no license required. Learn to Fish program for beginners, pool and splash pad, picnic areas with benches, fitness trail, Tree Top Trecking/ Zip Line, canoeing and kayaking, cycling and hiking, dog walking, or just a nature walk is fine. If you are looking for an adventure for kids of all ages, get outdoors and choose your adventure, this is the place. However, you have to pay extra if you want to play those activities. I don't think they will allow for overnight camping over there. There is a bathroom/change room located near the pool and splash pad. There are stairs to walk down to the Heart Lake where you can find another washroom facility. However, there are porta-potties only in the picnic areas or along the trails. Several huge parking lots in different areas are available, but you have to pay for general admission. Passenger vehicle: $24.00 Large van: $42.00 Bus: $300.00. The Medicine Wheel Garden is organized by the Aboriginal Network, TRCA, City of Brampton, and community groups, a place for healing, celebration, and peace, which is fantastic to drop by. The breathtaking landscape along the lake is absolutely an oasis for nature lovers. It's definitely a natural beauty for spending a whole day with family and friends. Would recommend!

Loads of fun. The park is very well maintained except for a swing ride but other than that very fun. You could swim in the lake but the tides can get ruff so swim at your own caution.

It's a very beautiful place not to far from the Brampton city area. The hear shaped lake looks beautiful and there are multiple trails surrounding the lake. There is also a big splash pad which is great for the kids. (It is closed temporarily). There is also adventure sports available (need to buy tickets online in advance) Overall a great place for family outing with variety options.

A great 9 km hike with family, friends or your athletic dog. Please respect Mother Nature. NO littering and NO loud music please! Trail cyclist please WATCH OUT for hikers and runners not the other way around. You have no right of way, we're sharing the trail. Follow Trail Etiquette and by-laws at all times! ☝😎

Great time with the kids. We did the zip line over the lake. 30min of training, followed by a zip over the lake and back. Definitely bring bug spray.. lots of mosquitoes during training. Minimal bugs when you're on the course.

Nice ample area to have family picnics or to walk the trails. Other activities available like boating or tree top trecks. Was not too crowded. Some trails would be better if there was signage indicating where they are. The map provided is somewhat helpful but needs to be updated. Staff was very polite. Good for family events. Ample parking. If you do plan on going on a more bushy trail bring some repellent as the mosquito's are relentless. People fish here as well.

  • 4/5 Lukasz K. 1 year ago on Google
Great Conservation area and pretty stunning views especially during the fall time. Pretty low key walk but great for a chill family path. ONE ISSUE is that if you start at the parking and go on the right side of the path, the ONLY way to do a full circle around the lake is to eventually exit at the half way point, walk onto a residential street for about 10 minutes and find the catwalk that enter back on the other side. Obviously this is for the respect of the people living there but my GOD what a waste. They have Tree-top Trekking if you are into wood. And if you like to fish then you will be one of many fishing there. Not bad for Brampton.
