THEY NEED BETTER HOURS!!! how can you expect working families to shop here when you open after people go to work and close just after people get home? Stores are already struggling during these times - staying open until 9 pm would benefit everyone.

Was really disappointed that there was not any hand sanitizer anywhere. Not at any of the entrances, not at the food court, nothing. Maybe covid was so last year 🙄 but it's still cold and flu season and in a public setting there should always be some avaliable

I love shopping at the Pen Cenre and have done so for many many years. However, I do not understand why security is allowing shoppers into the stores without a mask. I find it very disrespectful to someone like myself who is following all the rules for myself and other to stay safe. It is easy to say you have a medical condition.

In door shopping center. Clean, but not quite easy to navigate for 1st time visitor. Quite big as well, and we got lost during first visit. It is a little outdated, but you can find everything you need, to shop or to eat. Plenty of parking and all kinds of stores.

Small but mighty. I worked here for seven years, and when I come back to this mall when we visit St. Catharines I can still feel the warmth. It’s got a Cheers-ish welcoming vibe for those old enough to know what I mean. :) I also love that the renovation they did when I was working there brought in lots of natural light, made it 100% accessible (a much needed upgrade considering this mall was built in 1958 I believe), and made the food court much more appealing. The mall is kept very clean, there’s of course lots of parking, and there’s a great variety of stores considering its size. Still feels like home even after all these years :)

Great selection of reputable name brand stores. The Pen Centre stands out as a staple shopping destination in Niagara, offering an unmatched spectrum of retail, dining, and entertainment options. With a comprehensive collection of stores that includes a state-of-the-art movie theatre, a full-service grocery store, and a Walmart for all your essentials, it caters to every need. This mall isn't just a place to shop; it's a place to experience the pulse of the community. Its diverse array of fashion retailers, specialty stores, and culinary delights positions this shopping mall complex as a one-stop destination for locals and visitors alike. There is another complex across the street that also has a mid scale pool hall behind it that is very popular for younger crowds. Landmark cinemas is excellent as it has premium leather seats and super cheap movie tickets. Highly recommend visiting the area!

A girls weekend away brought me out to niagara region with a few friends to catch up and have fun, after lockdowns limitations and restrictions. We four decided it was time to reward ourselves for good behaviour. Wine country and shopping here we come. Imagine our surprise to see someone all four of us knew well, as the pillar of the community and marketing director of a large retail property! Although 'pillar of the community' was something we all found, hmmm...laughable. Who gave that title out to Helen so easily, and obviously, without any research whatsoever being done? Notes were compared and google was consulted to find the answeres. 'Marketing' is something this woman has redefined, to suit her own needs. No doubt, 'non disclosure agreements' are at her 'sliding scale' disposal. And thats an understatement we all raised a brow to and shook our heads. Two of us have degrees in Marketing and one in an associated feild, so we run in similar circles. Helens rise is a little more 'non disclosed' She takes credit for her charity work, but has never volunteered a hour in her life, that wasnt paid by work. She claims to just have high school and ECE education, but omits taking marketing classes online in her years in Peterbourogh, but dropped out as it was too difficult. In her words it was easier to just ask , val at head office, or a manager at another property, they knew how it should look on paper. The two of us who took the time and cost of educating our selves to learn this, get our faces slapped by these statements. We, all three find her actions suspect, when shes heard in a maketing seminar for 20Vic employees saying, 'the tennants are our bosses' Something, the then owner of the company, asked her to repeat out loud again. Helen loves telling that story again and again. However she strangely forgot to let the tennants, her bosses, know that for the reopening of the Lasdowne Place propety she blew the budget by 150% The previous mall manager was always 'micro managing' her, she recollects, but he had left so she had free disposal and the 'liability queen' saw no issue either. Helen uses anyone, even family to get what she wants. When Helen was in the running for the position at Penn Centre, with one of us 'accredited' marketing individuals in competition that was not considered. However, Helen loves telling the story of how the 20 VIC owners repied 'name your price' when she garaunteed to focus her efforts on finding 'reason for discharge' facts on the then mall manager. Something all four of us find dishonest and disrespectfull on both counts. The position she grumbled about regularly, that enabled her to purchase property in the region. Also enabling her to purchase items from a 'charty shop' she always says that with judgement as her O.C.D. sees them as 'gross used stuff' . Note also she used the company staff, insurance, and vehicles one weekend, to deliver her personal purchases to her home! Helen in years previous preached to other staff about liability issues with loaning company assetes to contractors! Helens understanding of 'undo infuence in respect to ones position' was abused when in hospital in St Catherins.Helen did not hesitate to call the mall manager, whom was on the hospital board of directors, to secure a private room. This was who she was ratting out to get the job! I dont like being around 'strangers'! her defense. Helens supporting anti bullying programs is the biggest insult to all four of us, as the nick name 'the big voice' was earned by her becomming 'loud' saying ' YEAH,HERES THE THING' and standing up to intimidate with her size! Textbook bully behaviour. C&W rate Helen well in her feild. Astonishingly they must have no clue what goes on. We all agreed. Not supportable conduct. We wont be shopping here. You decide for yourselves.

Sadly the Pen CENTER management fails to recognize the seniors of Niagara . Where other malls have senior mall walking programs the Pen CENTER puts our seniors at the mercy of their outsourced security. Now restricting seniors walking mobility in the PEN WITH hours so outdated no wonder the management is always in HIDING. As the seniors Advocate for Niagara and a walker there those seniors should travel to Brock University new Walker complex it’s definitely seniors friendly and a professional track . This review is specifically about Cassie the clothing store in the Pen Centre located by the Laura Secord store (they do not have their own page but people should know how they do business). I was in store looking at an item, the woman (middle aged - senior) working saw me looking at the poncho and said "I can do that for 45, no tax!" so I thought I had finally found something affordable for my new years party! Another "customer" was present at the cash, kind of in my way so I can't get very close who I now believe may not have been a customer but someone there meant to distract the buyer while the woman charges you more than she said was the price so you tap your card without noticing. As stated she said $45, no tax but I have looked at my bank account this morning and the receipt she so discreetly folded up yesterday and she had charged me $80. I would not have bought the item for this price because things are tight, especially this time of year and apparently it is final sale which this woman did NOT say was the case so I can't even return the item she grossly overcharged me for but I guess that's her scam. The whole thing was strange but I didn't think about it until I saw the price she actually charged, dispite what she said and didn't let me know the price was different if she had made an honest mistake and I am very unhappy that I wasn't told this was final sale which would have made sense and I would have been okay with if she had charged the 45$ no tax she had said. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!! This woman really screwed me over and during the holiday season..... Merry Christmas.... you are a terrible person and a worse employee/business owner.

The mall itself is fine, with a variety of stores, a movie theatre, and a large food court inside. There are also several additional stores and restaurants that share the parking lot with this mall. The location is horrible, however. Being right off the highway, the area has many businesses and plazas crammed in a very short distance. Throw in too many traffic lights and intersections, and you find yourself in a traffic nightmare. Many times, the off ramp from the highway is completely backed up while waiting for the light at the bottom to change. I avoid this area because of the traffic alone.

I'm not for or against the vaccine passport. But when I go somewhere I expect the same for everyone. I watched as some where asked for ID and some where not. If the Pen wants to enforce the passport make sure they are constant anyone can use someone else's pass and get in. Also they wipe off the chairs and tables but not the booths. If they don't want people questioning or being upset then make sure your constant.

We had a great visit at The Pen Centre one day after Stage 3 reopening! It was a heavy rain weather day and therefore alot of people happy to be inside! There were a few stores with lineups outside to get in and some lineups inside busy stores but everyone seemed in a great mood and I saw nothing negative. My only wish was that all the exterior doors were open for entering as well - not just as exit doors- as there were alot of people trying to enter and then had to find another door- and was just more frustrating in the pelting rain!

Pen Center doesn’t offer trendy or sophisticated shopping experience. Quality clothing and jewelry for instance. Either very cheap or too young or too expensive at Hudson Bay where customer service is awful. The food court lacks imagination.

Boston Pizza was amazing! We had our first lunch on the patio and the experience was relaxing and still filled with protocol, as when need right now. The food was fresh and ample, and Boston Pizza was a shining light for St. Catherine's!

The Pen Center has always been a great shopping Center. However, there are empty stores and a lot of repetitive electronic stores. But, all in all, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for for the most part.

You get used to the amount of people. Not as much as the bigger cities, but it's a popular place due to the stores inside the mall, the cafeteria, and the theatre. I tend to go from the mall to the plaza across the street and vice versa. The food court will always be the busiest. Come here if you have money though. 20 bucks will only get you so far if you need something specific, so sales or rewards cards are definitely a must here.

Went to the mall on 06/24/23 with my wife and two young children. We have a puppy and called courtesy desk before going and asked if dogs were allowed. They said yes! We have a toy poodle that weights maybe 8 lbs. we entered by Winners and an aggressive security guard approached my wife and daughter and said no dogs allowed. When I saw the situation I approached security guard and told him we called and he said no they are not allowed. I told him about courtesy desk and he said they were wrong. I asked him if they represent the mall And he said YES! I asked him to show me where it says no dogs. He said on each entrance on doors. I said let’s go check because I said it doesn’t. He thought I became confrontational and radioed for back up. I laughed at him and said because I’m questioning you, you need back up? He wouldn’t go to the door to provide it. Then when I continued questioning him he threatened to have me trespassed. I said for what? Asking to prove your policy he said it’s mall policy and we could go back to security office and he’d show me. I called him out on this and said let’s go. He said well that’s a waste of time. I said that’s for me to decide. His supervisor showed up and was very professional and de-escalated the situation by taking the time to share with me that dogs were not allowed in the mall unless service dogs. She agreed that courtesy desk was misinformed that represents the mall. Winners also allows dogs and the manger was all over our dog petting her and kissing her. She said that she would have to speak to her. Then my wife went to Home Sense that allows dogs. This is outside the mall and this was ok but still part of the Pen Centre. Then I returned to the mall to take care of what I intended to originally before this overzealous security guard confronted me and witnessed another dog in the mall in a a roller. That was ok? Same security guard walked by and didn’t say a word. Just a joke. I even talked to a few of the store managers in my shopping experience and was told that these security guards are hurting business with their commando attitude. Do yourself a favour and go to the outlets. Pen Centre has turned into a sub par mall and hiring sub par security is further hurting their already suspect business. The mall has many empty stores and sub par stores. Courtesy desk represents the mall, not security that is contract hired. I used to frequent the Pen all the time. Not anymore do yourselves a favour and go to the Outlet Collection of Niagara. Oh and I forgot to add, when I said we called and said we had a toy poodle the security guard said oh that may be the problem you said “toy” poodle. Maybe they thought you called about a toy. Ya! Ok! I called to see if I could bring a toy to the mall. Such stupidity. Pen Centre your Best days are behind you And asking people to watch your mall Like the idiots you have are representative of what this mall has become. The Security guard supervision who did show up to deescalate the situation was professional and said all then right things.

Been going to this mall since I was a little boy. Not so much now that I live out of the city. I have seen all the changes and developments. I would say its at its best. Its crazy to see some stores are still there 20 years later. Memories 😊

The Pen Center is the perfect community center yet big enough to accommodate large stores line Walmart, zehrs, Hudson bay etc. Has sections for asian and European fast food restaurants. It's perfect for pleasure shopping and afternoons at Tim Hortons. The bus stop is right there for both local and regional transit.

Did lots of shopping and looking. Was happy until I went to dollar store and then left and had to join a line to wait to use the elevator. There is no reason why the escalator should be down on the going up and why we could not just walk up it. That is stupid.

This place is accessible for all mall ,just wish there were more plus size stores as,I couldn't even find 1.Although Rickis goes to 22,and Winners you have to really look for stuff. Otherwise they have a nice selection of stores even walmart is attached to the mall. On the outside there is a TD bank and lots of places to check out, this area is definitely a social fishbowl. Public transit is also fast here as well.

Great to shop. Only issue I have is no accessible seating in the food court. Given this is the largest shopping mall in Canada, and you serve the largest senior population in Niagara, accessible seating is necessary there are many seniors and people using mobility devices and having service animals and we need accessible seating
